This study examines the relationship between library anxiety and computer attitude with references to the variations in the college students' gender, grade level, academic majors, frequency of library visits, and the perception towards mobile-phones in order to explore the possible measures for minimizing library anxiety amongst the students. The study results show the computer anxiety and the computer usefulness to be the computer attitudinal factors most closely correlated with the level of library anxiety. Our proposed solution is the development of a user training course and curriculum to lower students' computer anxiety while promoting greater computer usefulness.

There is a necessity which it will analyze demonstrative operating school library digital resource room for maximize to educational effect and to establish efficiently. Thus, this study is prepares a foundation of school library informationization as analyzes an operational status and an educational effect with 96 school library digital resource room which are established in tool year.

The purpose of this study is to suggest present issues and problems in producing educational performance of school library and to manage school library education ordinarily. For this purpose, after searching the principle and main policies related to school library education, we analyzed the previous researches concerned with behaviors and outcomes of school library education. As the results, professional development of human resources, curriculum improvement, modification of promotion and supporting system, and the amendment related to principles are established as political goals before suggesting progress direction and better method.

The purpose of this study is to design the meta search system and the curriculum-oriented directory system for youth in science and to prove the efficiency of the systems through evaluating the usability. To attain the purpose of this study, both of the quality and quantity research method were used and questionnaire, interview. observation, thinking aloud method were used to collect a data for research. The result of this study is that the meta search system supplying convenient information use environment about the distributed information sources has higher usability than the individual search system. And the curriculum-oriented directory system supplying accessibility related with the class has higher usability than the subject-oriented directory system.

The school library plays very important and central role for the fullfillment of educational objective in the process of implementing the school curriculum. And the media specialist known as teacher-librarian is. primarily responsible for the successful operation and effective management of the media center. It is true that effectiveness of the school library depends greatly on the cooperative coordination among teacher-librarian, teacher and principal in addition to the strong support and effective supervision of school district authority, specifically, supervisor of school library program. The successful program therefore is influenced by their perception of the teacher-librarian's role. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teacher-librarian's. educational role perceived by teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and school district supervisor. A standard task model describing both the management and educational functions and expectations of teacher-librarian was proposed after studying the relevant current standards of four countries. Serveral hypotheses were made regarding role perception and a survey instrument was designed based on this proposed task model and the results of the literature review to validate the hypotheses. The questionnaires were mailed out and the returned questionaires were analyzed by SPSS computer routine. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) There was difference of the role perception among teacher-librarian, teacher, principal and district supervisor at the significance level of p<0.001 for both management and educational functions of teacher­librarian. The mean score of the teacher-librarian was highest among four groups and the score for the educational function tasks were lower than that of management function tasks. 2) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the attitude toward changing social trends such as acceptance of new technology, need for better communication and information. 3) The positive correlation exists at the significance level of p<0.001 between the role perception and the view on the curriculum and teaching method.

This study analyzes the performance of school library rehabilitation project for the past four years. The project was launched in 2002 as a 5-year project from 2003 to 2007. Based on the analysis, the author suggests some considerations for the second phase of the project. First, librarians are the focal point to manage the library newly built and remodeled at a massive budget of 300 billion Korean won. Second, when developing curriculum employing school libraries, the curriculum should be differentiated by grade. class, textbook and even chapter. Third. the project should demonstrate the positive influence of school libraries on students' academic achievement so that the parents and community leaders voluntarily promote school libraries. Forth, the project should examine diverse users to successfully meet their demand. Fifth, the project should incorporate capacity building in librarian training course. It is also crucial that librarians themselves make visible effort to achieve an expert status before students and fellow teachers.

This study analyzes the changes in the mastes and doctoral programme for 15 years from 2005 to 2020, with 3 to 4 year interval. Based on the results, it provides a fundamental date in order to research the syllabus systematically, to understand the curriculum flow and how to implement it to educate globally competitive experts in information. Primarily, when compares the variable proportion of the number of the school subjects in 2017 and 2020 that assumed from the result, it is decreased by 3.70% and the only field that showed an increased rate was Archives & Records Management by 3.33%. The result showed a decrease in Bibliography (-11.65%), Information science (-4.89%), Business administraion of Libraries·Information centre (-3.62%), General Libraries and Informarion sciences (-3.13%), Information Services (-4.10%), and Information organizaion studies manifested no change in the number of subjects. Furthermore, Information science is offered the highest at 25.15% in 2020, and it showed that was opened in order of Business administraion of Libraries·Information centre (21.30%), Information Services (15.05%), General Libraries and Informarion sciences(12.35%), Information organizaion studies (11.27%), Bibliography (7.95%), Archives& Records Management (6.94%).

This preliminary study examined the degree programs in data science at the School of Information in the States. The focus of this study was the data science degrees offered at the School of Information awarded by the 64 Library and Information Science (LIS) programs accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) in 2022. In addition, this study examined the degrees, majors, minors, specialized tracks, and certificates in data science, as well as the potential careers after earning a data science degree. Overall, eight Schools of Information (iSchools) offered 12 data science degrees. Data science courses at the School of Information focus on topics such as introduction to data science, information retrieval, data mining, database, data and humanities, machine learning, metadata, research methods, data analysis and visualization, internship/capstone, ethics and security, user, policy, and curation and management. Most schools did not offer traditional LIS courses. After earning the data science degree in the School of Information, the potential careers included data scientists, data engineers and data analysts. The researcher hopes the findings of this study can be used as a starting point to discuss the directions of data science programs from the perspectives of the information field, specifically the degrees, majors, minors, specialized tracks and certificates in data science.

Library collaboration instruction (LCI) is a process in which a classroom teacher and librarian collaborate to co-planning, co-implementation, co-assessment instruction. LCI is being studied and modeled in various dimensions such as the level of collaboration, information activities, and time scheduling. However, there is no integrated model that comprehensively covers teacher and librarian collaboration. The purpose of this study is to propose a schematic integration model for LCI by comparing and analyzing various models in five dimensions (level of collaboration, information activities, collaborative approach, time scheduling, and technological integration). The main results of the integration model for LCI reflected in this study are as follows. First, in terms of the level of collaboration, TLC integration model reflected such as library-based teacher-led instruction, cross-curricular integrated curriculum. Second, in terms of information activities, LCI integration model reflected social and science subjects inquiry activities in addition to the information use process. Third, in terms of collaborative approach, LCI integration model is divided into such as lead-observation instruction and parallel station instruction. Fourth, in terms of time management, LCI integration model took into account the Korean national curriculum and scheduling methods. Fifth, in terms of technology integration, LCI integration model reflected the PICRAT model, modified from the perspective of library collaboration instruction.

This paper aims to suggest new strategies for operating school library digital resource room by analyzing the current states of 349 school library digital resource room and its educational effects. The project for school library digital resource room provided the foundations for the various informational and educational services : extended information materials, changes in library environment, collecting information through the web sites, providing authentic materials, reading instruction, library assisted instruction (LAI). The suggestions are as follows. 1) The national standards is required for the digital resources room in school libraries. 2) Reading and information literacy instruction should be institutionalized. 3) Library assisted instruction (LAI) should be included in school curriculum. 4) Professionally qualified teacher librarians are required for planning and managing the school library. 5) School library in-service program is needed for all members of the school community.
