According to the results from the recent research in Business field, the correlation between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is not strong. Based on this understanding, the first purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between public library service user satisfaction and public library service user loyalty. To achieve this purpose, the study conducted a survey of 240 public library users. The findings of this study are 1) the correlation between 'public library service user satisfaction' and 'public library service user loyalty' exists. However the strength of the correlation is moderate, 2) the correlation between 'public library service user satisfaction' and 'public library service users' intention to use new library services' is the weakest among the variables of 'public library service user loyalty', and 3) the correlation between 'public library service user satisfaction' and 'public library service users' intention to recommend library services to others is the strongest among the variables of 'public library service user loyalty'. The second purpose of this study was to find the moderator variables between public library service user satisfaction and public library service user loyalty. According to the study results, the following moderate variables are found: 1) physical accessibility, 2) lack of diversity in library service, 3) car-parking issues, 4) lack of diversity and recency in collections, and 5) lack of convenience in facilities.

All libraries are forums for information and ideas. Therefore, libraries must have systematic devices through which library users can make use of library materials freely. The systematic devices usually have the form of Library Bill of Rights. The aim of this study is to offer basic data in case our country adopt Library Bill of Rights in the near future. In this thesis, the significance of Library Bill of Rights was investigated and the common components were drawn from the analysis of the changing processes and contents of Library Bill of Rights in the USA and Japan. In the USA and Japan, the Library Association an official institution adopted Library Bill of Rights and established permanent departments to keep and develop Library Bill of Right as well as to solve the problems such as infringement of freedom of library. The common components of Library Bill of Rights are as follows: freedom to collect materials, freedom to provide materials, right to refuse censorship, cooperation with the persons ind groups concerned, a person's rights to use a library, fair use of the library facilities, and protection users' privacy.

The objective of this study is to establish and propose a construction plan for a new main library in a metropolitan city. The case to be discussed in this paper is the new library of Busan. Library Law revised in 2007 requires each metropolitan cities and provinces to designate a public library as the representative regional main library or to build a new one. The city of Busan has been enthusiastic to build a new main library that can serve as a representative public library for the citizen. This new public library will serve as a community center, an intellectual archive, and the policy hub for the regional information services. In this paper, the strategy for the new Busan central metropolitan library will be discussed. It will strive to illustrate elements to be considered for the planning of a regional central library as other citied and provinces may refer to for their own regional central libraries.

As a new library system, the 'human library', in which a man becomes an information resource, provides a library service through face-to-face communication in delivering knowledge and information to users. Since the human library exchanges information with 'human books', it shows some characteristics that are different from traditional library services and connotes some meanings as a new library service. In that, this study focuses on the human library of Seongbuk-Gu, Seoul. Specifically, in order to enhance our understanding of the human library, this study looks into the theoretical underpinnings and the background of human library in Seongbuk-Gu, examines the case of the human library in Seongbuk-Gu, analyzes the factors that influence the human library, and makes some suggestions for improvement.

This study aimed to analyze library anxiety among international users in various aspects and make suggestions for alleviating library anxiety. Subjects were 'international users using the academic library' not only including international students but also including international professors and researchers to analyze library anxiety in various aspects. S university with most international users was selected for the study, and the surveys were distributed. The questionnaires completed by 369 international users were analyzed. The overall average of library anxiety among international users is 2.96, and 'knowledge of the library' appears to be the greatest source of library anxiety among international users. An analysis revealed that variables including status, nationality, library instruction, the reason for using the library, Korean proficiency, and cultural understanding contributed significantly to the library anxiety level. Based on these findings, recommendations for library service, staffing, environment, and resources were made to help alleviate library anxiety.

This study proposed two improved models, depending on each central axis of local library policies, to improve the management of the metropolitan library committee which should play an important role in pursing the policies. The model of draft 1 suggested that the metropolitan library committees' library policy deliberative functions be reinforced for pursuing metropolitan library policies, around the department of library policy in each central office. The model of draft 2 suggested that the metropolitan library committees play a role in the policy governance, in pursuing the metropolitan representative libraries-based local library policies. In order to efficiently pursue the proposed improvements of the management of the metropolitan library committees, the functions of the metropolitan library committees and each status of the chairmen and the vice chairmen, which are stipulated by 「Library Act」 need to be elevated, according to the draft 2. Then a local laws and regulations (draft) was proposed to stipulate matters concerning the management of metropolitan library committees by metropolitan municipalities, based on the local laws and regulations.

This article investigated the lives and careers of three great librarians in India, USA, and Korea: S. R. Ranganathan, Melvil Dewey, and Bong-Suk Park, respectively. It also explored their influences and contributions. Their births and early years, and marriage; college years; commitment toward librarianship and careers; achievements in other areas; personalities; and commemorative activities, among others, were analyzed. Their contributions to librarianship and library community in the general theory of library science, professional education, classification and cataloging, library administration and management, and library associations and library movement were also investigated. Special focus was on Bong-Suk Park, with a special regard to his unrealized dream for the Korean library community as well as insufficient estimation related to him and his achievements.

This Study analyzes the present's children library movement. For this, this research deals with 'Library Movement of Miracle' by Citizen Action for Reading Culture. 'Mini-Library Making Movement in Bucheon' and 'Children Mini-Library Movement' by a variety of Nongovernmental organizations. The writer looks into contents, characteristics, meanings and limitations of these Movements. In conclusion, the writer suggests the direction of children library movement in the future.

The purpose of this study is measure library use behaviors among faculty members and faculty awarenesses toward bibliographic education for undergraduates. Questionnaire listings offered by C university library were sent 200 faculties. 56% responded questionnaires were analyzed. The results are as follows. $\circledS1$They used library one more times per a month and during vocations & prefered to use scholarly journals. $\circledS2$They wanted 'subscription for scholarly journals,' 'inter-library loan,' but they seldom experienced in inter-library loan. $\circledS3$They gained the library skills in experiences and they had the average level of library skills. They used secondary sources and recognized traditional reference services. $\circledS5$They intended to bibliographic education for the faculty and the wanted group of 10 less and education for the new faculty members. $\circledS6$They though the students should be able to learn needed library skills. but wasn't necessary. $\circledS7$They intended to intergrate bibliographic education and cooperate with librarians. But they hadn't been familiar with librarians and encouraged students to use library.

The aim of this study is to examine the influence of foreign library classification schemes on the Chinese classification systems in the library. And the study is to analyze development process of three modem library classification schemes, the $\ulcorner$Renmin University of China's Library Books Classifications$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$Chinese Academy of Sciences's Library Books Classifications$\lrcorner$and $\ulcorner$Chinese Library Classification$\lrcorner$which are being used in many libraries in China where the library is regarded an important organization for performing the national policies.
