The aim of the present study was to investigate the development of theory of the deficiency of yin-yang in the spleen-stomach(脾胃). The spleen-stomach theory is a very valuable composition of the oriental medicine. Its first theoretical basis was established by Li Dong Yuan(李東垣) who wrote Piweilun("脾胃論"). He insisted the importance of spleen yang(脾陽) which is the "postnatal base of life" by transforming and transporting of food essence and fluids and raises the clear. After him, his theory had influenced many descendant medical men. one of them, Ye Tian Shi(葉天士) found out the differences of between stomach and spleen. Especially he focused on the stomach yin(胃陰) which is easy to be exhausted by dry-fire(燥火). And he also made another remedy, "the stomach yang should be moved well(宣通胃陽)", which emphasize on that cold and stagnant cause the deficiency of the stomach yang. After that, spleen yin(脾陰) theory was set up by Tang Zong Hai(唐宗海). His spleen yin(脾陰) was deeply related with digestive enzymes and pancreas, because his theory was established by comparing oriental and western medicine. These four theories became the theoretical basis of the deficiency of yin-yang in the spleen-stomach(脾胃), and similar symptom of the spleen-stomach(脾胃) could be categorized according to the pattern identification(辨證) which was developed from these four theory.

The study is written for the purpose of examining Na Cheon Ik(羅天益)'s medical ideology mentioned in Euian(醫案) of "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生寶鑑". The publication of this book is reflected in the 13th century perplexed conditions. In this thesis, after the writer analyzed Na Cheon Ik(羅天益)'s medical theory in "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生寶鑑", knew that he emphasized practical use on all occasions. So far, Na Cheon Ik(羅天益)'s medical ideology in "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生 寶鑑" is hardly studied. "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生寶鑑" is a medical book which was written in the process of systemic recognized of medical theories of various and special academic parties in the period J inYuan(金元). The medical theory that appears in "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生寶鑑" is rooted in Li Dong Yuan(李東垣)'s theory, but also Na Cheon Ik(羅天益)'s medical ideology is distinguished from Li Dong Won(李東垣)'s ideology. First of all, Na Cheon Ik(羅天 益) recognized the importance of discerning not only On-Bo(溫補) but also Han-Ha-To(汗下吐) and various ways in medical treatment. Secondly, the fact that Na Cheon Ik(羅天益) made good use of moxibustion tells the difference between the two. In conclusion, "Wi-saeng-bo-gam 衛生寶鑑" holds systemic medical information which was originated with Na Cheon Ik(羅天益)'s various and special experience. He had contributed in the clinical experience and medical information by having an effect on the ages to come.

SiO and graphite composite has been prepared by adopting high energy ball milling technique. The anode material shows high initial discharge and charge capacity values of 1138 and 568 mAh/g, respectively. Since the materials formed during initial discharge process the nano silicon/$Li_4SiO_3\;and\;Li_2O$ remains as interdependent, it may be expected that the composite exhibiting higher amount of irreversible capacity$(Li_2O)$ will deliver higher reversible capacity. In this study, pretreatment method of constant current-constant voltage (CC-CV) Provided high coulombic efficiency of SiO/C composite electrode removing the greater part of irreversible capacity.

Objectives : This study was designed to report the effect of Jawon(Ziuan)'s purgative action for insomnia. Methods : A 60 year-old male patient has been suffered from insomnia for 2 years and has been on taking sleeping tablets during about a year and a half. We administered Sihogayonggolmoryeo-tang because we thougt that the disease was So-Yang-Bing Li Jeung. And Jawon was added for quick improvement. Results : 1. The score of PSQI(Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) decreased from 18 to 16 after the patient tooks Sihogayonggolmoryeo-tang. 2. After 23 days, the patient tooks Sihogayonggolmoryeo-tang with Jawon at the same time. With the purgative action with Jawon appearing, the score of PSQI decreased from 16 to 4 extremely and accompanying symptoms were also improved. Conclusions : In this case, for the patient taking Sihogayonggolmoryeo-tang with Jawon at the same time is far more effective than only doing Sihogayonggolmoryeo-tang. The result was more improved with appearing the effect of purgative action.

The theory of 4 great doctors in Geum Won era has been considered as a most scientific medicine after SangHanRon of Jang, Jung Kyung. And it influence for all the later medical theory and practice. I have found a common points between their Fire and Fever pathology and constitutional pathology of Li, Je Ma. The results obtained are as follows. 1. On the Viewpoint of medical history, there is common points in the fact that the start of Geum Won 4 great doctor' principle had been drived from awakening of the abuse of warm and hot herbs based on Hwa Je Guk Bang in the last stage of Song dynasty, and that the appearance of Sa Sang medicine was from the scientific reflection against the currency of the animation by warm herbs which was popular in the Jo Sun dynasty. 2. The theory of Fire and Fever pathology of 4 great doctors has been fixed in the principle of Cold and Fever pathology of viscera and bowel in the Sa Sang medicine. 3. The pathological meaning of 'internal fire' in the conculusion by 4 great doctors has got scientific fruit by Sa Sang medicine in its theory of four constitutional psychology and the formation of four visceras. 4. It is considered that the study of DongUiSuSeBoWon is needed for the relation with former medical theories.

Cylindrocarpon destructans causes ginseng root rot and produces radicicol that has an antifungal effect. In this study, we developed a method to detect this fungus using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Secreted proteins of C. destructans were used as antigens to obtain C. destructans-specific IgG from mouse. Out of 318 monoclonal antibodies generated from mouse, two antibodies (Cd7-2-2 and Cd7-2-10) showed highest specificity and sensitivity. Indirect ELISA using both antigens successfully detected C. destructans in soils, but direct ELISA using IgG conjugated with horseradish peroxidase failed to detect antigens in soils. The indirect ELISA developed here can efficiently detect the fungus and help manage ginseng root rot disease in fields.

리튬 동위원소의 분리를 위하여, 양이온 교환 컬럼 크로마토그래피를 수용액 이온 교환시스템 중에서 수행하였다. 실험에는 길이 50cm, 안 반지름 6mm의 파이렉스 유리 컬럼을 사용하였다. 컬럼 크로마토그래피에서 용리액으로는 염산 숙신산 혼합용액을 사용하여 1.0068의 분리인자 값을 얻었다. 이 실험으로부터 가벼운 $^6Li$는 수지상에 농축되고, $^7Li$는 용액상에 농축됨을 확인하였다.

This pilot study examined the contribution of citizen science approach to the datification of factors influencing the progress of cognitive health of the older adults. Newspapers were reviewed and FGIs of field workers at a Day Care Center gathered relevant data from citizen. Two questions were put forward; whether new factors are drawn from citizen knowledge; if yes, whether they represent a new type of data. 'Aesal', personality of the older adults with dementia is noted as a new dementia affecting factor. The data on personality also present a new challenge for scientific measurement. The relationship between personality or psychology of the older adults and the risk of getting dementia has been a research field for a long time, yet the impact of personality on the progress of dementia has not been examined scientifically. Because of communication difficulties with the older adults with dementia, new types of indicators and new ways of measurements thus need to be developed.

The purpose of this stady was to investigate division cells by in vivo bromodeoxyuridine(Brdur) immunohistochemistry for labeling the proliferative epithelial cells in the gastrointestinal tracts of rats. Rats were administrated intraperitonially by twice consecutive injections of 24 hr interval with Brdur(0.05mg/g BW/time) and then were sacrificied at 1 hour after last injection. The specimens were taken from the stomach, small intestine(ileum), and large intestine(colon). The well-oriented crypts and villi in the preparations were examined, The crypt columns and villi were devided into 10 segments from crypt base to surface of the lumen or to villis top. Labeling index(LI) was measured by counting the number of Brdur-positive cells against the total number of crypt column cells in the stomach and large intestine and also against the total numbers of crypt column and it's villi epiterial cells in the small intestine. 1. In the stomach, the LI in each part from segment 1 to segment 10 of the crypt column were 4.2%, 5.0%. 6.6%, 9.0%, 11.3%, 15.3%, 9.3%, 15.6%, 11.3%, 0%, respectively and it's mean LI were 8.7%. The Brdur-positive epithelial cells were predominantly located in the middle regions and middle-upper regions of the crypt columns. 2. In the small intestine, the LI in each part from segment 1 to segment 10 of were 62.4%, 50.9%, 27.8%, 22.5%, 18.6%, 12.1%, 7.5%, 4.3%, 2.5%, 1.4%, respectively and it's mean LI were 21.0%. The Brdur-positive epithelial cells were predominantly located in the lower regions of the crypt columns and tended to be less in the higher regions of the villi than that in the crypt column. 3. In the large intestine, the LI in each part from segment 1 to segment 10 of the crypt column were 19.4%, 29.9%, 34.1%, 41.6%, 41.2%, 32.4%, 25.4%, 15.4%, 10.8%, 1.2%, respectively and it's mean LI were 25.1%, The Brdur-positive epithelial cells were predominantly in the middle and middle-lower regions of the crypt columns. 4. The organs with higher LI were ordered as the large intestine(25.1%), small intestine(21.0%) and stomach(8.7%).
