A Study on In-Flight Alignment Using the Flight Distance of Vehicle (항체의 비행거리 정보를 이용한 운항 중 정렬 기법 연구)

  • This paper presents the new in-flight alignment method using the flight distance of vehicle in order to improve the performance of the heading error estimation. In the proposed method, the Kalman filter having the difference between GPS and SDINS position as measurements is used for levelling of SDINS and heading error is estimated utilizing the flight distance information. It is shown in the simulation results that the in-flight method proposed in this paper has the high accuracy in heading error estimation and the heading error can be very quickly estimated at the high speed vehicle, compared with the existing method using the Kalman filter.

  • A low-temperature dyeing system for silk fabrics based on a redox system has been investigated. Some factors affecting dyeing of silk fabrics with levelling acid dyes in the absence and presence of certain redox system were investigated under different conditions. The variables studied were; type and concentration of redox system, dyeing conditions, i. e. temperature and time, dye concentration, material-to-liquor ration(LR) and colour fastness. The colour strength(K/S value) is outstandingly higher in the presence than in the absence of redox system. A comparison between the colour strength values of such dyeings abtained the three redox system would call for the following order ; Glyoxal/hydrogen peroxide>thiourea/hydrogen peroxide>glucose/hydrgen peroxide> nothing. In the presence of redox system, free radicals are supposed to be formed in both the fiber and the dye and the interaction between these free radicals bring about covalent fixation beside the usual electrostatic bonds, hydrogen bonds and Van der Waals forces.

Dyeability and Enzymetic Treatment of Wool Pretreated with tert-Butoxide (tert-Butoxide 처리 양모의 효소처리 및 염색성에 관한 연구)

  • Wool samples were treated by potassium tert-Butoxide(t-BuOK) in anhydrous tert-butanol to remove the bound surface lipid-layer, and the weight loss behaviors in protease solution and dyeabilities of the samples were studies. The C/N ratio of the surface of the t-BuOK-treated wool was shown to be 4.3 from XPS analysis. From SEM pictures any remarkable change in the shape of surface curticle during the proteasw treatment was not observed regardless of prior t-BuOK treatment. Dyeing rate and equilibrium adsorption of Orange II, a typical levelling type acid dye, on wool were not changed by protease or t-BuOK treatment, but those of Milling Cyanine 5R, a typical milling type acid dye, on wool were greatly enhanced by t-BuOK treatment in spite that, from alkali and urea-bisulfite solubilities, no damage on the inner part of wool fiber was expected by t-BuOK treatment.

  • 심야전력요금제도의 정착으로 최근 심야전력축열기기의 보급이 활성화되고 있다. 그러나 모든 심야 전력축열기기들이 심야요금개시시간대인 22:00경에 동시에 가동됨에 따라 23:00에 심야전력 부하가 최대에 이르러 전력피크가 발생하여 한전의 수요관리에 큰 어려움을 주고 있다. 따라서 이 피크 부하를 심야전력 공급시간대의 저부하시간대로 분산시킬 수 있는 심야 전력축열기기 통전시간제어가 필요하게 되었다.

Comprehensive Tideland Reclamation in Korea and Transferbility of Its Development Strategies and Techniques to Developing Countries

  • In 1980 the Ministrv of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheies(MAFF) established the Long-term Tideland Development Scheme in the South-west Seashore Region. Since that time Korea has been developing comprehensive and innovative development frmaeworks in reclamation works and levelling up the potentialities of the donating country of internatioal cooperation in that field. And also, Korea has the well-organized governmental institutions for international cooperation in the development of tideland reclamation technologies such as RDC(Rural Development Corporation) for the field of agricultural engineering and RDA(Rural Development Administration) for the field of agricultural development. In Conclusion, it is ascertained that Korea has a good potentiality of aiding developing countries in the development of tideland reclamation, especially in agricultural development.

  • Demand for electricity is increasing annually. Especially, the daytime demand grawth shows higher than any other time period. So the big difference between maximum and minimum electrical demand becomes another important problem to be solved. The Battery Energy Storage System is chosen as one of the solutions among the sevral methods. The purpose of utilization of Battery Energy Storage System is to improve the daily load factor. Also, Battery Energy Storage System may be used for the load levelling or the load shifting as well as the spinning reserve. Up to now, only the pumped hydro power plant system has been operated on the commercial basis, but this system has so many constraints such as site, environmental effects, construction period, ect. Being considered current electrical power situation the development of electric storage system is in need latly. Among the various electric storage systems, Battery Energy System is chosen with the top priority because it has sevral merits to cover such as the short construction period, the demand site installation, and the food environmental characteristics.

  • This module to input Korean Level Data has 4 capacities of inputing, deleting, referencing and saving. Data file of level line consists of sorted list of node on the basis of “ABSTRACT”. For easy work, interactive method was employed. As the result of removing the boring routine by applying the characteristics of level data, working efficiency was increased. This program was written in C-language and runs on a minimum hardware configuration of IBM PC/XT with 640KB memory, In the future, these unit modules combine to form Generalized Level Information System.

A study for development of high speed hard chrome plating solution (고속 경질 크롬 도금 용액 개발에 관한 연구)

  • To enhancing efficiency of hard chrome plating solution more highly, cathode current efficiency were surveyed connected with hardness of deposits, surface morphology, TEM analysis and corrosion test of anode materials. Efficiency war increased up to 26% values by adding catalyst and two kind of additives. With given bath composition and 6$0^{\circ}C$, 60A/d$\m^2$ electrolosis conditionss bright and micro cracked deposits were well obtained, which showed HV 1000 values. From corrosion tests, anode materials such as Pb-Te (0.02%) and Pb-Ag(1%) showed most anti-corrosive results. Through SEM micrograph observations, ef-fects of additives on levelling, brightness and micro crack properties of hard chrome deposits could be con-firmed. Also, through TEM analysis the fact that deposits from crack free solution or high speed solution were more fine than from sargent solution could be confirmed.

  • Traditional reinforced concrete slabs and beams are widely used for building. The use of flat slab structures gives advantages over traditional reinforced concrete building in terms of design flexibility, easier formwork and use of space and shorter building time. Deflection of the slab plays a critical role on the design and service life of building components; however, there is no recent research to explore actual deformation of concrete slab despite various advancements within the design codes and construction technology. This experimental study adopts the Hydrostatic Levelling Cells method for monitoring the deformation of a multi-storey building with flat slabs. In addition, this research presents and discusses the experimental results for the vertical deformation.

Comparison between FFT and LSC Method for the Residual Geoid Height Modeling in Korea (한국의 잔여지오이드고 모델링을 위한 FFT 및 LSC 방법 비교)

  • In this study, we performed the residual geoid modeling using the FFT and LSC methods in context of application of R-R (Remove and Restore) technique as a general technique for gravimetric geoid model in order to propose the effective way of geoid determination in Korea. For this, a number of data compiled for residual geoid modeling by the multi-band spherical FFT method with Stoke's formula and LSC method as known as statistical method. The geometric geoidal heights obtained from 503 GPS/Levelling data were used for inducing the various elements and proper computation process which should be considered for improving the accuracy of residual geoid modeling. Finally, we statistically compared the results of residual geoid heights between FFT and LSC methods and reviewed then the proper way of residual geoid modeling to the region of Korea. As the results of comparison, LSC method is not suitable for residual geoid modeling in Korea due to the noise and lack of gravity observations and the effects of local characteristics, while FFT method by applying Stokes' integral with proper cap size and modified kernel which provides the better accuracy of residual geoid heights up to 10 cm more than those of LSC method.
