우리나라 노인들을 대상으로 한 일상생활에서의 인간공학적 불편성 조사 연구 (A Study on Ergonomic Uncomfortableness on ADL for Korean Elderly People)

  • This paper reports the results on age and gender of Korean elderly people for the level of difficulty in performing household tasks (meal preparation, grocery shopping, house cleaning, laundry), personal tasks (dressing, bathing, grooming), transfer tasks (getting in and out of chairs, getting in and out of bath-tub, using stairs) and management tasks (using telephone, accessing mail, operating door locks). A questionnaire based on the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) scale was constructed and administered to 40 Korean elderly subjects aged from 65 to 84(mean age: 74.5, SD: 5.8) in Busan. Additionally, a logistic regression was performed with age (continuous variable) and gender as predictor variables, and reponses to individual questions as the categorical ordinal response variables. To determine appropriate age separation at which difficulty levels in performing activities of daily living change, a discriminant analysis was performed on the responses. All predictor variables were used in the analysis. Accommodating age related changes in functional abilities, and increasing functional independence of elderly people will entail significant design modifications to products, systems and environments for daily use and living.

  • By decreasing in CPU price and development of computer assembling technology, personal computer fake a good chance to accelerate its supply. Recently, as being introduced new computing technology so called multi media, teaming assist system which is based on single media such as studying book, cassette tape, video tape, or something else is rapidly being replaced by new assist education system based on multi media in which it is operated by the personal computer. In the computer assist education system, there is an evaluation module which appraise learner's study level into the next study strategy. At the view of this point, this part is very important. In this part, there are some factors like Importance, complexity, or difficulty which commonly include fuzzy factors in our surrounding. But until now, we are still out of the level to handle the evaluation module adequately among the some studies. In this study, we would like to suggest a new module that evaluate learning achievement of ICAI which have a variety of fuzzy environment. We combine Independent fuzzy environment like importance, complexity, difficulty into making total evaluation of learner's achievement. By the result, with expressing by linguistic form, this study can provide the theoretical basis in which we will be able to carry out sentence toward evaluation among elementary school.

G러닝기반 교육 콘텐츠 개발 사례 (The Development Case of G-Learning Based Education Contents)

  • 제시되는 개발 사례는 창의성 개발을 위한 스마트 교육 콘텐츠 개발내용으로서 학습자의 성향에 맞는 상호작용이 가능한 G-러닝 기반 교육교재 소프트웨어의 디자인 접근 및 개발내용을 제시하였다. 무엇보다도 게임의 특성인 상호작용을 극대화 할 수 있도록 디자인 접근방식에 초점을 두어 학습자의 성향에 따른 교육 수준 레벨별 몰입이 가능한 교육 콘텐츠를 개발한 것으로서 레벨 디자인 설계에 따른 난이도 기반 콘텐츠 구성이 가능한 콘텐츠이다. 또한, 시각적 측면에서 출현하는 오브젝트 및 캐릭터의 비주얼 커스터마이징(Customizing) 기능을 구현하여 학습자의 성향에 따라서 몰입할 수 있는 비주얼 환경을 설정하여 효과적인 교육이 가능하도록 구현한 사례이다.

  • 최근에 웹을 이용한 원격교육에 대한 많은 학습 방법들이 제시되고 있으며, 기존의 학습들은 학습자가 개인 수준에 맞는 문제 난이도를 직접 선택하거나, 문제를 동적으로 추출하여 학습하는 방식이다. 그러나 이 방법들은 단순히 출제되는 문제 자체의 차별성을 기반으로 하므로 학습자의 능력별 학습이 이루어지기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 개인의 문제유형별 약점정보를 기반으로 유형별로 추출되는 문제에 난이도를 두어 개인별 학습 능력을 평가한다. 그리고 다음 단계의 학습에서 개인별 학습정보를 반영하여 문제들을 출제하므로 학습자의 학습효과를 높일 수 있다. 따라서 이 시스템은 문제유형과 문제난이도에 대한 개인의 정보를 반복적으로 적용하여 학습할 수 있으므로, 더욱 효과적인 원격학습을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 학습에 있어서 공간상의 제약을 극복하기 위하여 PDA 플랫폼에서 모바일 학습시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

급성 심장질환자 간호에 대한 웹기반 시뮬레이션과 고충실도 시뮬레이션 교육 효과 (Effects of Web-based Simulation and High-fidelity Simulation of Acute Heart Disease Patient Care)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of web-based simulation and high-fidelity simulation on acute heart disease patient care. Methods: The project used a comparative study design with two simulation-based training modalities. A total of 144 nursing students participated in this study: 76 students in a web-based simulation, and 68 students in a high-fidelity simulation. Participants rated their self-efficacy, problem-solving ability, interest in learning, level of stress, satisfaction with the simulation experience, and level of difficulty of the simulation. Results: The scores for self-efficacy, problem-solving ability, and interest in learning including interest in clinical training in the high-fidelity simulation group was higher than in the web-based simulation group. However, there were no significant differences in interest in learning, including interest in nursing knowledge, and in lab training, level of stress, satisfaction with the simulation experience, and level of difficulty of the simulation. Conclusion: A high-fidelity simulation of acute heart disease patient care might be beneficial to developing many more abilities for nursing students than would a web-based simulation. Also, since the web-based simulation improved interest in nursing knowledge, it could be a viable alternative to high-fidelity simulation. Further study is needed to verify the effects of varied levels of simulation-based care with more rigorous outcomes.

IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI 표준을 만족하는 시간 관리 서비스 모듈의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Time Management Module for IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI)

  • HLA는 이기종 시뮬레이터간의 연동을 위한 상위레벨 개념으로서 IEEE 1516 표준이며 Run-Time Infrastructure(RTI)는 이를 구현한 라이브러리 형태의 소프트웨어이다. RTI의 시간 관리 서비스를 개발함에 있어 효율적인 설계와 GALT 계산 알고리즘은 반드시 고려해야 하는 사항이다. 그러나 기존의 많은 RTI의 시간 관리 서비스는 수정과 확장이 용이하지 않다. 몇몇 RTI가 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 모듈화 설계방안을 제안하고 있지만 이들은 IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI에 적합하도록 설계 및 구현된 것이 아니라 HLA 1.3을 위한 것이었다. 많은 RTI는 GALT 계산 알고리즘으로 분산 시뮬레이션에서 널리 알려진 Mattern의 알고리즘을 이용하고 있다. 그러나 Mattern의 알고리즘을 IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI에 적용시키기에는 몇 가지 제약사항이 존재한다. 본 논문은 IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI를 만족하는 시간 관리 서비스의 모듈화 설계를 제안하고 이를 바탕으로 구현한다. 시간 관리 서비스 모듈을 TIME 모듈과 GALT 모듈로 나누는 설계방안을 제안하고 GALT 계산 알고리즘으로는 Mattern의 알고리즘을 수정 보완하였다. 그리고 제안한 설계방안대로 구현한 시간 관리 서비스 모듈의 성능을 살펴보기 위하여 실험을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.

기업교육을 위한 인터넷 원격훈련 학습과정 모니터링 연구 (Learning Process Monitoring of e-Learning for Corporate Education)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to conduct a monitoring study on the learning process of e-learning contents. This study has two research objectives. First, by conducting monitoring research on the learning process, we aim to explore the implications for content development that reflects future student needs. Second, we want to collect empirical basic data on the estimation of appropriate amount of learning. Research design, data, and methodology - This study is a case study of learner's learning process in e-learning. After completion of the study, an in-depth interview was made after conducting a test to measure the total amount of cognitive load and the level of engagement that occurred during the learning process. The tool used to measure cognitive load is NASA-TLX, a subjective cognitive load measurement method. In the monitoring process, we observe external phenomena such as page movement and mouse movement path, and identify cognitive activities such as Think-Aloud technique. Results - In the total of three research subjects, the two courses showed excess learning time compared to the learning time, and one course showed less learning time than the learning time. This gives the following implications for content development. First, it is necessary to consider the importance of selecting the target and contents level according to the level of the subject. Second, it is necessary to design the learner participation activity that meets the learning goal level and to calculate the appropriate time accordingly. Third, it is necessary to design appropriate learning support strategy according to the learning task. This should be considered in designing lessons. Fourth, it is necessary to revitalize contents design centered on learning activities such as simulation. Conclusions - The implications of the examination system are as follows. First, it can be confirmed that there is difficulty in calculating the amount of learning centered on learning time and securing objective objectivity. Second, it can be seen that there are various variables affecting the actual learning time in addition to the content amount. Third, there is a need for reviewing the system of examination of learning amount centered on 'learning time'.

Identification of target subjects and their constraints for automated MEP routing in an AEC project

  • Since Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing(MEP) routing is a repetitive and experience-centered process that requires considerable time and human resources, if automated, design errors can be prevented and the previously required time and human resources can be reduced. Although research on automatic routing has been conducted in many industries, the MEP routing in AEC projects has yet to be identified due to the complexity of system configuration, distributed expertise, and various constraints. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the target subjects for MEP routing automation and the constraints of each subject. The MEP design checklist provided by a CM company and existing literature review were conducted, and target subjects and constraints were identified through process observation and in-depth expert interviews for five days by visiting a MEP design company. The target subjects were largely divided into six categories: air conditioning plumbing, air conditioning duct, restroom sanitary plumbing, heating plumbing, and diagram. The findings from interviews show that work reduction and error reduction has the greatest effect on air conditioning plumbing while the level of difficulty is the highest in air conditioning duct and restroom sanitary plumbing. Major constraints for each subject include preventing cold drafts on air conditioning pipes, deviation in ventilation volume in air conditioning ducts, routing order on restroom sanitary plumbing, and separation distance from the wall on heating plumbing. In this way, subjects and constraints identified in this study can be used for MEP automatic routing.

Simulated Annealing 의 효과적 변형 및 HLS 에의 적용 (Effective Variations of Simulated Annealing and Their Implementation for High Level Synthesis)

  • Simulated annealing(SA) has been admitted as a general purpose optimization technique which can be utilized for almost all kinds of combinatorial optimization problems without much difficulty. But there are still some weak points to be resolved, one of which is the slow speed of convergence. In this study, we carefully review various previous efforts to improve SA and propose some variations of SA which can enhance the speed of convergence to the optimum solution. Then, we apply the revised SA algorithms to the scheduling and hardware allocation problems occurring in high-level synthesis(HLS) of VLSI design. We confirm the efficiency of the proposed methods through several HLS examples.

  • This paper presents an approach to self-tuning PI control of dynamic plants, based on fuzzy logic application. A fuzzy logic composed of linguistic conditional statements is employed by defining the relations of input-output variables of the controller. In the synthesis of a fuzzy logic controller, one of the most difficult problem is the selection of linguistic control rules and parameters. To overcome this difficulty, self-tuning fuzzy PI controller (STFPIC) with a hierarchical structure in which the fuzzy PI controller is assigned as the lower level and the rule modification and parameter adjustment as the higher level. The rules and parameters are generated by the adjustment of membership function through performance index(PE). In this paper, the algorithm for of the controller performance is estimated by means of computer simulation.
