노인 여가의 기능과 여가자원에 관한 문헌고찰 (A Review of Literature of Leisure Function and Resource of the Elderly)

  • This study investigates the literatures of leisure function and resource of the elderly to consider deeply the meaning of their leisure. In conclusion, this study presents the leisure of the elderly has both of positive and negative functions individually, socially and economically and they have the resources of individual, human and social as the usable resources for leisure but each of resources has disturbing restrictions. On the actual condition of elderly's leisure activity, they enjoy negatively like a watching TV and the using rate of leisure facilities is lower than other age groups.

여성 노인의 여가활동, 인지기능 및 우울에 관한 연구 (Leisure Activities, Cognitive Function and Depression in Female Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate cognitive function, leisure activities and depression in female elderly, to examine the relationships among those variables and to investigate leisure activities and depression according to cognitive function. Methods: The subjects were 105 female elderly visiting two senior citizen centers in Seoul, Korea. Data were collected from November to December 2006. The participants were assured of anonymity and confidentiality. All information was collected through face-to-face interviews using questionnaires. Results: 26.0% of the participants were cognitive impaired but not demented and 17.3% were demented. The level of depression was severe and 77.9% of the subjects were depressed. The subjects were not actively engaging in leisure activities. There were significant correlations between cognitive function, leisure activities and depression in female elderly. Demented or CIND subjects were more actively engaging in extra family fulfillment type leisure activities than normal subjects, Conclusion: These findings showed the need for a program for female elderly regarding leisure activities. When counseling the elderly, nurses must consider their cognitive function, leisure activities and depression.

가족여가 활성화를 위한 정책방안 (Study of a Policy Plan for Vitalizing a family Leisure)

  • This study is to solve following problems by a family leisure as the problem of a single person in seclusion type, teenager-children being addicted to game, the disconnection of culture inheritance among inter-generation, the elder being isolated from leisure, the increase of the children using a key to go into home alone, the problem of a gender discrimination. This study defines the policy for a family leisure as "policy that ultimately creates the happiness of family, prevents the family problem and deals with it, through the leisure activities that are suitable to family life cycle". It also considers some other important properties(equality, gender and family life cycle, space) besides the constitution and function of family leisure. To create the happiness of family, the direction of the policy for a family leisure heads toward the positive function such as unification, creativity, and psychological stability of family members. At this point, the object of the policy for a family leisure is a unit of the family and it focuses on the level of interaction and positive function development between family members, being beyond the concept of family activity. Therefore, the policy that is to vitalize a family leisure must contain the interaction and positive function between the family members. Hereupon, to vitalize a family leisure, this study leads above-mentioned subjects based on programming, running leisure facility, information system, experts, social awareness, and supporting to the various family. Specialty, the process of leading these subjects is connected to the suggestion of the concrete program and then, is to result in supporting the program development for the essential leisure policy.

Chaotic Phenomena in Addiction Model for Digital Leisure

  • Chaotic dynamics have been studied by many researchers in the fields of biology, physics, and engineering. Interest in chaos is also expanding to the social sciences such as politics, economics, and others, including the prediction of societal events. The concept of leisure has developed from a passive concept correlated with relaxation, entertainment, and ideology formation into a positive concept that assumes a more active role. As information and communications technology develops, digital leisure activity is expected to continue spreading. This expansion of digital leisure function correctly, as well as. Traditional leisure activity functions correctly more, whereas digital leisure activity is predicted to function incorrectly more often. In this paper, we propose a mathematical addiction model of digital leisure that deals with its dysfunctions such as addiction to digital leisure, including computer games, internet search, internet chatting, and social media. Herein, to solve addiction to digital leisure, we propose a model derived from a nicotine addiction.

청소년의 사이버 여가활동과 자율신경계 기능의 관계 (The Relationship between Cyber Leisure Activity and Autonomic Function in High School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between cyber leisure activity and autonomic function in high school students. Methods: The subjects of this study were 242 second graders at high school located in D city. The research design was descriptive correlation study. Data were collected from August 26 to September 17, 2010, using a cyber leisure questionnaire and heart rate variability (SA-6000, Medicore, Korea) for autonomic function. Results: Total time for the cyber leisure activity was $391.3{\pm}262.0$ (min/week). Time for internet usage and computer game was $234.5{\pm}140.1$ (min/week) and $156.8{\pm}164.3$ (min/week), respectively. There were significant positive correlation between total cyber leisure time and sympathetic activity (r=.247, $p$ <.001). Conclusion: Excessive cyber leisure activity could increase sympathetic activities in high school students. Thus, nursing intervention to reduce the total cyber leisure time will be helpful to improve their neurophysiological status.

한국 남녀 노인의 여가활동 참여와 인지기능의 관계 (Leisure Activities and Cognitive Function in Korean Older Adults)

  • 본 연구는 한국 남녀 노인의 여가활동과 인지기능 간 관계를 탐구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 위해 국내 지역사회에 거주하고 있는 65세 이상 노인에 대한 대표성 있는 자료인 노인실태조사 자료를 활용하여 주요변수에 대한 결측값이 없는 10,055명에 대해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 여가활동은 생산적 및 소비적 여가활동, 미분류 활동의 세 가지 유형으로 구분하였으며 치매선별용 한국어판 간이정신상태검사(Mini Mental Status Examination for Dementia Screening)의 연령, 성별, 교육수준별 기준 점수에 미달하는 경우 인지기능 장애가 있는 것으로 보았다. 연구결과 여가활동 유형 중에서 생산적 여가활동이 유일하게 남녀 한국 노인의 인지기능 장애 관련 요인으로 나타났으며 소비적 여가활동과 미분류 활동은 유의한 관계를 확인할 수 없었다. 생산적 여가활동 외에 연령, 교육수준, 경제활동 참여, 주관적인 청각 장애 및 우울감이 유의한 관련변수로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 향후 노인 여가정책에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.

노인 여가프로그램 설계를 위한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Tentative Plan of Leisure Program for the Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study was to discuss leisure program to guarantee the leisure right of the elderly. In order to study on the change of leisure perspective and the existence of leisure need, it has based on the leisure program of the elderly in welfare institutions. It was suggested that; The contents of leisure program of the elderly would contain the change of leisure perspective, discovery of leisure need, improvement of the elderly's function(physical health, psychological satisfaction, and social relations), and development of new interest. In specific context, it was varied from the conditions and environments(space or equipment) in each institutes.

Improvement of Upper Extremity Function and Leisure Satisfaction of Children with Brain Lesions through Sports Stacking Activities: A Case Study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate changes in upper extremity joints and leisure satisfaction in children with brain lesions through sports stacking activities. Methods: A sports stacking program was conducted on three children with brain lesions who had upper extremity joint limitations and joint range of motion lower than the normal range. It was conducted 10 times, 1 to 2 times a week, 40 minutes each time. Upper extremity joint angles were measured using a goniometer in the order of shoulder, elbow, wrist, and fingers, and leisure satisfaction was measured using a smile evaluation. Results: As a result of measuring the upper extremity joint angles, all three children showed slight angle changes in the shoulder, elbow, and wrist areas. Differences in joint angles appeared differently for each child. Smile evaluation results were evaluated in various psychological, educational, and physical aspects. Only child A was evaluated for Smile Evaluation No. 1. Conclusion: Sports stacking activities changed the upper extremity function of children with brain lesion disorders and showed differences in psychological, physical, and educational aspects of leisure satisfaction. As this is a short-term study result, the change in upper extremity function is minimal, but if sports stacking activities are continued, it will be a rehabilitation program that can prevent upper extremity dysfunction and improve physical strength. Accordingly, continuous attention should be paid to increasing accessibility and enjoyment of daily life according to individual characteristics and level.

  • 최근에 디지털 여가 활동이 늘어나면서 순기능 이외에 부작용에 대한 우려가 현실로 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여가의 중요성, 여가에 참여할 때의 참가 효과, 역기능을 살펴보고 정보화 사회에서 디지털 기기의 사용을 중심으로 한 디지털 여가의 역기능을 알아본다. 또한 이러한 역기능을 해결하기 위한 방법으로서 교육을 통한 대책과 융 복합화를 통한 대책을 제시한다.

중·고령자의 사회활동 참여와 인지기능과의 관계 (The relation between the participation in social activity and cognitive function among middle-aged and elderly population)

  • 본 연구에서는 중·고령자의 다양한 사회활동 참여가 치매 진단의 1차적 기준이 되는 인지기능에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며 이를 위해 2006년 고령화 연구패널 자료를 활용하여 만 45세 이상 중·고령자들의 사회활동 참여와 인지기능 점수간의 관계를 분석하였다. 사회활동의 유형은 김영범·이승훈(2008)의 연구에서 정의한 종교활동, 여가활동, 공공집단 활동과 연고집단 활동으로 분류하였으며 인지기능을 측정하는 MMSE-K의 원점수를 분석에 사용하였고 사회경제수준과 건강수준을 통제변수로 사용하였다. 만 45세 이상 중·고령자 전체를 분석한 결과 종교활동과 여가활동이 인지기능에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 연령과 성별을 층화하여 중년 남성, 여성집단과 고령 남성, 여성집단으로 분석한 결과 중년 남성집단에서는 여가활동이 유의하였으며 중년 여성에서는 4가지 사회활동이 모두 유의하지 않았다. 고령 남성과 여성에서는 종교활동과 여가활동이 모두 인지기능에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 고령 여성의 공공집단 활동 참여가 인지기능에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과를 통해 중년자들의 사회활동 참여보다 고령자의 종교활동과 여가 활동의 참여가 인지기능 장애와 치매예방에 더 긍정적인 영향을 준다고 볼 수 있으며 이를 근거로 노인들이 건전한 여가활동을 누릴 수 있도록 체계적인 정책과 지원의 확대가 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다.
