  • Measuring the growth of fish in fish farms still uses a laborious method. This method requires a lot of labor and causes stress to the fish, which has a negative impact on mortality. To solve this problem, we propose the Fish Growth Regression System (FGRS), a system to automate the growth of fish. FGRS consists of two modules. The first is a module that detects fish based on Yolo v8, and the second consists of a module that predicts the growth of fish using fish image data and a CNN-based neural network model. As a result of the simulation, the average prediction error before learning was 134.2 days, but after learning, the average error decreased to 39.8 days. It is expected that the system proposed in this paper can be used to predict the growing date and use the growth prediction of fish to contribute to automation in fish farms, resulting in a significant reduction in labor and cost savings.

  • The world has witnessed a phenomenal growth in information and communication technologies (ICT). The development of new broadband communication services convergence of telecommunication with computers and recent developments in the field of communication protocol have fostered challenges as well as offerings in the wide-ranging use of ICT to support the creation of dynamic and interactive teaching and learning environment. By emergence of ICT, most of education and training institutions are struggling to integrate ICT and education and training systems. It is so important to apply proper delivery systems for utilization of the computerized teaching and learning contents in the classrooms. It will be a preliminary activity for building open and flexible distance teaching and learning systems in developing countries. In this paper, we would like to suggest and recommend the proper delivery systems for utilization of the computerized teaching and learning contents in the classrooms for education sector reform in developing countries.

  • Recently, Flipped Learning is attracting attention as a method for qualitative growth of university education. Flipped Learning is a kind of computer based education and consisted of online video lectures and offline student activities. This paper introduces the results of applying Flipped Learning for one semester to Korean linguistic norms course. As for this course, the contents related to the knowledge and information were provided individually before the class through online video, and the offline classes focused on student-led activities. When qualitatively evaluating the results of the course, students developed a more comprehensive and flexible mind set beyond the preexisting normative attitudes and showed increase in analytical and critical thinking in understanding the principles of linguistic norms and spelling system. According to these results we argue that it is necessary to actively adopt Flipped Learning in the humanities education, including the grammar classes.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting Visual Display Terminal (VDT) syndrome for elementary school students in the digital learning environment. Multiple regression analyses were performed to identify the factors affecting VDT syndrome in the digital learning environment. This was conducted with 256 elementary school students in grades 5-6 with more than a year of experience in digital learning. The regression model explained 41% of elementary school students' VDT syndrome in the digital learning environment. Variables significantly affecting VDT syndrome include game addiction, sleep time, and air quality with game addiction as the most influential. In the digital learning environment, VDT syndrome is significant because it has physical and psychological impacts on the growth of elementary school students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop guidelines for ideal computer usage habits for this age group.

  • This research estimated the variation of high school students' academic achievement by using the second to the fourth wave KEEP(Korea Education and Employment Panel) data. We explored the effects of study on academic achievement in proportion to self-regulated learning hours(except for school work and private tutoring). Analysis variables were self-directed learning(study) hours throughout senior high school and 9 grade academic achievement. We conducted Latent Growth Model(LGM) using KEEP panel data and program LISREL 8.8. Results showed that there were significant effects of self-regulated learning hours on the variation of senior high school students' academic achievement. Therefore, this was considered to be useful tips in getting the relation between students' learning and academic achievement.

  • Smart-Learning has been increasing with the growth of smartphone usage. Looking at previous research, this study established the concept of smart learning, current understanding of smart learning and the requirements for smart learning. Subsequently, It was established a concept of SNS, reviewing future education, self-directed learning by using social network, and suggests policies of vitalizing smart-learning by using SNS. In order to use SNS in smart learning, first it is proposed the need for smart learning laws and institutions, particularly with young people considering their emotions in order to expand what is proposed. secondly, the need for SNS usage to be socially and culturally relevant. third and finally, the need for strengthening information security with co-operation from the government.

  • In this era of cut-throat competition, innovation is a source of competitive advantage, and securing core competency through innovation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the survival and growth of an organization. In an organization, R&D team is a core division driving innovation, and creative tension and conflict among researchers fuels innovative performance. Despite heated debate over the positive and negative effects of conflict, insufficiently-identified process factors have left sophisticated mechanisms between conflicts and effects unaddressed. This study assumes that team learning behaviors can bean important process factor given that conflict propels learning, and that learning is a decisive factor in creating competitive advantage. This study conducted an empirical analysis of the relationship between relationship/task conflict and team innovative performance, and the mediating role of team learning behaviors using data collected from a questionnaire sent out to the heads of 262 R&D teams and second highest-ranking officials thereof. The analysis conducted based on structural equation model indicates that relationship conflict has negatively affected team learning behaviors, whereas task conflict has positively influenced team learning behaviors(full mediation effect), team learning behaviors has positively influenced team innovative performance. Based on these results, the study has suggested implications of intra-team conflict and team learning behaviors for team innovative performance.

  • The growth mechanism of AMT(Ammonium Meta-Tungstate) crystal was interpreted as two-step model. The contribution of the diffusion step increased with the increase of temperature, crystal size, and supersaturation. The crystal size distribution from a batch cooling crystallizer was predicted by the numerical solution of a mathematical model which uses the kinetics of nucleation and crystal growth. Temperature control of a batch crystallizer was studied using Learning control algorithm. The purity of AMT crystal producted in this investigation was above 99.99%.
