  • This study tried to develop and implement a class model that can apply the teaching method that can operate learner-centered classes in university education to the class operation of the entire university, not individuals. For the development of the instructional model, the final model was derived through analysis of prior research, expert review, derivation of instructional model and design principles, pilot operation, primary questionnaire analysis, model and design strategy revision, and secondary questionnaire analysis. Shift_N+1 class consists of 6 models, and each model was divided into 3 parts. It was a preliminary learning using video, a face-to-face class for question-and-answer and in-depth learning on the core content, and feedback and process evaluation for individual student. We have built our own computer system so that we can implement this every week. The teaching method model that can apply the learner-centered curriculum to all classes at the university was standardized. The Shift_N+1 teaching method seeks to maximize the learner-centered learning effect by reflecting the characteristics of the subject, and to improve the quality of education by identifying students' achievements by week.

  • Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) is a procedure of analyzing collected data for teaming, making a strategy and performing adequate service for learners. To perform suitable service for learners, modeling is the first step to collect data from the process of their learning. The model, however, cannot be authentic if collected data can contain learners' inconsistent behaviors or unpredictable learning inclination. This study focused on how to sort normal and abnormal data by analyzing collected data from learners through visualization. A model has been set up to assort unusual data from collected learner's data by using DOLLS-HI which makes possible to diagnose learner's learning propensity based on housing interior learning contents in the experiment. The created model has been confirmed its improved reliability comparing to previous one.

  • As the distribution rate of a smart phone which can actualize even augmented reality is getting higher, the application scope of a smart phone is sharply increasing. However, in spite of various functions of it, there is still lack of learning app. Mobile equipments can bring no spatial-temporal restriction of learning to a learner, but they can tempt a learner into inappropriate spaces. In this sense, learning app is necessarily needed to motivate and keep learner's inner desire. This thesis suggested considerations when learning mobile app is designed by analyzing motivation strategy of ARCS Theory and UI of web based contents. Also, a design method of mobile learning app was suggested based on a procedural model of mobile learning app adapting ARCS Theory.

  • The need for communication is emphasized in decision making, design methods and processes for the educational environment that contain new curricula and learning methods. In this study, we tried to find the direction and agenda of learner-centered environment restructuring through the 'user-integrated platform' in which various subjects related to school space environment understand each other's position and overcome the barriers and prejudices of each sector. The project was planned in a 'bottom-up process' method that uncovered the singularities of the previous stage and led the main contents of the next stage. The various subjects who participated in the project shared their own experiences and different positions regarding the school space. At the workshop, the topics of the participating teams were divided into two categories. The teams in the category of the 'school culture and space' insisted innovation of 'the school culture' as a premise for the restructuring of the 'school space', and proposed schools with different interpretations of 'authority and rules of school', 'the meaning of learning and play' and 'the main character of school. The teams in the category of the 'school borders and spaces' focused on 'communication' and proposed schools containing 'emotional care of students', 'borders between schools and villages', 'village community schools', and 'interspace and niche time'. After the workshop, we were able to derive the direction and architectural strategy of the school space restructuring by analyzing the works of the participants. Through this study, we confirmed the possibility of translating user's ideas into the professional domain through careful planning, preparation, facilitation, and analysis in Participatory Design.

  • This study investigates strategies to increase learning efficiency for programming subjects to which flipped learning teaching method is applied targeting non-major students. Design a learner-centered flipped learning-based programming class and get strategies for effective application methods for field application. Also, the purpose is to explore the efficient application of the flipped learning teaching method to the computational thinking subject of liberal arts classes at this university. By applying the flipped learning teaching method, one of the innovative teaching methods, we consider ways to improve the quality of programming subject classes, the efficiency of practical education, and the improvement of learner achievement. The purpose of this study is to design an efficient learning model for software education targeting non-majors by applying various teaching methods and learning design models convergence away from the traditional teaching method.

  • By decreasing in CPU price and development of computer assembling technology, personal computer fake a good chance to accelerate its supply. Recently, as being introduced new computing technology so called multi media, teaming assist system which is based on single media such as studying book, cassette tape, video tape, or something else is rapidly being replaced by new assist education system based on multi media in which it is operated by the personal computer. In the computer assist education system, there is an evaluation module which appraise learner's study level into the next study strategy. At the view of this point, this part is very important. In this part, there are some factors like Importance, complexity, or difficulty which commonly include fuzzy factors in our surrounding. But until now, we are still out of the level to handle the evaluation module adequately among the some studies. In this study, we would like to suggest a new module that evaluate learning achievement of ICAI which have a variety of fuzzy environment. We combine Independent fuzzy environment like importance, complexity, difficulty into making total evaluation of learner's achievement. By the result, with expressing by linguistic form, this study can provide the theoretical basis in which we will be able to carry out sentence toward evaluation among elementary school.

  • In this paper, we exmined the effect of leaner-tutor interaction model implemented in a Web-based virtual education system. Also, we proposed a new tutor model as a strategy for solving problems found in learner-tutor intraction in Web-based virtual education. Then, based on the results of previous research, we derived the roles of the tutor, and using the roles, modeled components of interaction between the tutor based on existing Web-based virtual education systems to demonstrate the effect. The results showed that the proposed model is efficient for improving the learners' achievements and interactive activities.

  • The ubiquitous technology has requested many changes both to the way of learning and to the way of convergence learning content development. However, until now most of e-Learning contents can not meet the requirements of technology convergence and are not developed from the user's perspectives. In this paper, we focus a convergence learning model that is learner-oriented structure, active use of formal and informal learning. Furthermore, examine carefully importance about task analysis, storytelling, and feedback design strategy of learning management system for e-Learning content development. In this context, this paper suggests the effective e-Learning content development method in a convergence era.

  • Many web-based learning systems have been developed and used widely. Most of the researches on web-based learning systems assume learners' active participation in the learning activity. However, learners do not always actively participate in the learning. This paper presents a novel self-regulated learning strategy to create a learning environment that encourages learner's active participation. We have derived sub-strategies that can be implemented as a web-based system. The derived sub-strategies have been implemented as an advanced web-base system and are verified by an empirical study.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a student-led instructional strategy that is central to the teaching-learning process and to investigate its effects. For this study, we analyzed the learner-centered learning types (discovery learning, problem-based learning, inquiry learning) and extracted elements applicable to newly developed teaching-learning. Based on this, a student-led class strategy was established using pre-learning, teacher collaboration, small group composition, and limited open data and product presentation, and then science classes were conducted. As a result of the post-tests of the five science core competencies of the experimental group using the student-led instructional strategy and the comparative group conducting lecture-based classes, the experimental group showed higher scores than the comparative group in the scientific thinking, scientific communication, and scientific attitudes (p<.05). Based on these results, it was confirmed that the student-led class, in which the student self-adjusts the entire process of designing, exploring, and presenting learning, can help the student's scientific ability. In addition, I would like to discuss the implications of teachers' teaching-learning composition.
