게임 제작을 통한 학습에서 학업적 자기효능감, 학습동기 및 학습태도에 대한 경로분석 (Path analysis for academic self-efficacy, the motivation and learning attitude on the learning through game making activity)

  • 본 연구는 게임제작 활동을 통한 학습에서 학업적 자기효능감, 학습동기, 컴퓨터 학습태도의 관계를 알아보는데 있다. 이를 통해 디지털게임을 통한 학습에서 학습자들의 참여와 학습목표 달성을 위한 변인들의 구조적 관계를 확인하였다. 연구결과 과제난이도, 자기조절효능감, 자신감의 하위요인으로 이루어진 학업적 자기효능감이 학습동기와 컴퓨터 학습태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 구조방정식모형을 검증하였다. 학습자의 신념, 과제 수용태도, 학습과정을 조절하는 요인이 활동중심 학습이 중심이 되는 디지털 게임을 통한 학습에서 중요한 요인이었다.

이러닝 특성이 학습자의 학업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The effects of e-learning characteristics on e-learner's scholastic performance)

  • 본 연구의 주요 목적은 교육공학 관점과 정보기술 관점의 통합적 연구모형을 통해 이러닝 특성과 이러닝 학업성과 간의 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러닝 시스템 품질, 이러닝 콘텐츠 특성, 상호작용 등을 독립변수로, 이러닝 학업성과를 종속변수로, 학습동기를 매개변수로 설정, 이들 변수간의 관계를 검증해 보았다. 연구를 위해 212명의 사이버 대학 재학생들이 설문조사에 참여하였다. 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 이러닝 특성 중 기술적 품질 컨텐츠 품질 학사지원 등이 학업성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 둘째, 이러닝 특성과 학업성과간의 관계에 대한 학습동기의 매개효과 분석 결과, 학습 동기는 양자간의 관계에서 부분적인 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 근거 향후 이러닝 이용자들의 학업성과 향상을 위한 몇 가지 시사점을 제시하면 이러닝 학습자들의 다양한 수준과 목적을 고려한 강좌 및 강의내용이 적절히 제공되고, 학습자와 이러닝 시스템 간 상호작용을 원활히 할 수 있는 기능이 적극 제공된다면 이러닝의 실질적 유효성을 훨씬 더 높일 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.

프로그래밍 학습 경험에 따른 학습 태도 변화 사례 연구 (A case study of learning attitude change according to programming learning experience)

  • 프로그래밍 언어 학습 경험이 학습 동기에 미치는 변화를 분석하였다. 프로그래밍 언어 학습은 전공생에게도 어려운 과정으로 평가되는 것이 일반적이다. 비전공자에게로 확대되고 있는 현 시점에서 프로그래밍 학습과 관련된 심리적 태도 변화를 측정하는 것은 학습자 분석에 필요하다. 동기 관련 구인요인인 성취목표, 학업적 흥미, 학업적 자기효능감, 인지적 관여, 학업적 자기조절을 측정하여 전반적인 학습자 태도 변화를 알아보았다. 측정 결과 학습 태도 관련 모든 요인에서 사후 검사 값이 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 학습과정의 난이도가 프로그래밍 학습 의욕을 감소시킨 것으로 해석된다. 학습자가 인지하는 난이도가 클 수록 학습의욕이 더 크게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 연구결과를 바탕으로 학습자가 느끼는 학습 난이도의 정도를 낮출 수 있는 상황과 피드백을 줄 수 있는 체계적인 학습환경과 학습과정의 중요성을 시사점으로 제시하고자 한다.

구조방정식 모델을 이용한 디지털교과서의 학습동기 및 학업성과 영향요인에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effective Factors of Learning Motivation and Achievement of the Digital Textbook using a Structural Equation Model)

  • In this study it is aimed to find out the relationship between the effective factors on learning motivation of the digital textbook. To carry on such exploration the learning motivation theory of Keller has been taken as the theoretical background. This is an experimental research with the data collected from 310 students who took the digital textbook class in the computer-mediated environment. It is compared and verified whether the factors causing learning motivation of the ARCS model embedded in the offline class influence on learner's motivation and achievement. With the outcomes, it has been tried to find out some practical suggestions for the achievement of the digital textbook. The results of the data show that the learning motivation of the digital textbook is significantly influence on the learning achievement.

일부 치위생학과 학생들의 학습태도 및 강의형태에 따른 학습매체 만족도 조사 (Satisfaction with instruction medium according to learner attitude and lecture mode in the dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the satisfaction with instruction medium according to learner attitude and lecture mode in the dental hygiene students. Methods: A web-based self-reported questionnaire was complected by 155 dental hygiene students in Cheonan from May 26 to June 5, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, school adaptation, interest to learn, effort to learn, faculty centered lecture, learner centered lecture, self-directed learning, motivation to learn, characteristics of each subject, and satisfaction with lecture mode. The study was approved by institutional review board (IRB) by Baekseok University. Chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression were used to evaluate the satisfaction to medium of instruction according to explanation factors. Results: The lecture mode, opportunity and motivation to learn, interest to learn and effort to learn were the significant factors to satisfaction with instruction medium. In multivariate logistic regression model, the adjusted odds ratio was 6.28 for the opportunity to learn and 4.87 for the interesting to learn. Conclusions: The satisfaction with instruction medium is the most important factor that decides the lecture mode and learner attitude including opportunity to learn and concern to learn.

일부 간호대학생의 인지 양식에 따른 CAI 학습후 학습동기와 학습평가 비교 (Instructional Motivation and Response According to Cognitive Style after Application of Computer Assisted Instruction(CAI) for College Student Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identity the degree of instructional motivation and response after application of CAI in the student nurses' fundamental nursing course. Method: The subjects of this study were 77 student nurses and the data was collected from October, 7th to 17th in 1997. The examination sheet for cognitive style and a questionnaire to evaluate the degree of instructional motivation were used to collect data. Result : 1) It was found that the degree of instructional motivation of the learner was higher in the CAI class. (134.23/170) 2) After CAI, the learners expressed relatively higher satisfaction in understanding, interest, degree of difficulty, number of problems, icons, and extra information. 3) It was found that 53 learners(68.8%) were field independent-cognitive learners and 24 learners(31.2%) were field dependent-cognitive learners. 4) Among the instructional responses according to the cognitive behavior of the learner after CAI, there were significant differences in reasons for understanding the computer program, interest in the computer program class, and the number of students assigned to each computer. 5) There were no significant difference between cognitive style and instructional motivation. Conclusion: The CAI effect for nursing students fundamental nursing course have been positive evaluated. CAI in nursing education is becoming very available and needs to develop effective CAI and use not only fundamental nursing course but also another nursing education programs.

  • 웹 기반 교육은 시간적, 공간적으로 분산되어져 있는 학습자들이 웹을 통해 학습이 이루어지는 형태로써 전통적인 학습 환경과 달리, 학습자의 적극적인 참여의지가 필요하다. 여기에서 참여의지는 학습동기의 중요한 한 측면으로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 웹 기반 수업 설계는, 학습자의 인지적인 측면만을 고려하는 것이 대부분이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 학습자의 학습동기를 촉진하기 위한 '감성게시판'의 설계 전략을 제시하고자 한다.

The Impact of Achievement Motivation on Academic Achievement and Satisfaction of Adult Learners in an e-Learning Environment

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the impact of motivation on academic achievement and satisfaction of adult learners in an e-Learning environment, and to come up with strategies to improve the effectiveness of e-Learning for adult learners. In order to find answer, devices were developed, tested for validity and reliability, and use for testing variables for 289 adult learners. To measure the impact of achievement motivation on learning in job training, a multiple regression analysis was performed. The analysis results show that achievement motivation has an impact on academic achievement with significance level .001, but does not have an impact on a learner's satisfaction. Further analyses on the subcategories of achievement motivation show that individual-oriented motivation affects achievement with significance level of .001, while social-oriented motivation does not. From this finding, some strategies to boost individual-oriented motivation are suggested to enhance effectiveness of job training in e-Learning environment. Further strategies to boost individual-oriented motivation should be developed by studying various aspects of e-Learning such as learning environments, learning culture, learning modes and methods, and evaluation.

The Relationship between Learner and Interest in Teachable Characteristic Agent

  • The traditional intelligent teachable system has mainly focused on knowledge and cognition. It has overlooked motivational aspects of learners. Motivation is an important factor in learning making learners to have interests in a given task and persist it. Although the systems include cognitive as well as motivational factors, the effects of ITS on interest are not equivalent depending on individual characteristics. This study is to investigate how influence learners' response patterns to their interests and also examined effects of individual characteristics on interest in teachable agent (TA). In this experiment, we used KORI which is a new type of ITS that learner teach computer agent based on the instructional method of learning by teaching'. In the beginning of experiments, metacognition, achievement goal orientation and self-efficacy were measured as individual characteristics. Then, participants were asked to use KORI at home during 10 days. After using KORI the level of interest were measured. The result showed that metacognition was positively related with interest, whereas performance goal orientation and mastery goal orientation were negatively related to interest. It suggests t hat different individual characteristics should be considered to promote learners' intrinsic motivation in TA.

  • This study aims to investigate how to apply the theory of constructivism to CADD education. To maximize educational effect in the educational process, evaluation, media, interactions between instructor and learners, existing CADD education has some limitations and needs new methodology. Constructivism can be said to be a learner-oriented theory in that it emphasizes on the process of understanding in each individual. It can contribute in educational practice to elicit each learner's motivation and to develope their creativity. This paper tried to investigate how to apply constructivism to architectural designing and find the most suitable CAAD education methodology related to design studio.
