We conducted a hierarchical regression analysis to grasp the effect of the leadership of top-leader and mid-level leader on the care burden of care workers. Monthly income of care workers was significantly associated with care burden. In next step, the leadership of the top-leader affected the care burden of care workers. But, In last model 3, only the leadership of mid-level leader affected the care burden with monthly income. This findings suggested that it is urgent to stabilize the salary level of care workers, and to develop the leadership skills of mid-level leader. The improved leadership of Mid-level Leader will help to reduce jop chaos for care workers.

  • In this article, the author studied the relationship between the Sovereign and the follower in Juyeok which contained some eliments, such as Eum-Yang, Soseong 8 gyae, Daeseong 64 gyae. In Juyeok, the 'Sovereign 5 hyo' (1) shows distinctiveness in basic characteristics whether they are Eum or Yang(high level classification), (2) shows characteristics of Soseong-gyae to which they belong(middle level classification), (3) shows different characteristics according to Daeseong-gyae's circumstances(low level classification). Five Yanghyo are regarded as male sovereign having masculinity, whereas five Eumhyo are female sovereign with femininity. Gungyae is the most 'sturdy type leader' who possesses dignity and has good judgement. Taegyae, the blessing type leader, holds affection and calmness within sturdiness. Rigyae is gorgeous and passionate 'enthusiastic type leader'. Jingyae, the pioneering leader, bravely starts ascending in Eum-dominant atmosphere. Songyae has the virtue of hesitancy and concession, known as the leader of humbleness. Gamgyae always stay low and calm, regarded as a leader of sense. Gangyae shoots up from the earth, meaning a leader of strong will. Gongyae, embracing type leader, is straight and square, though it tries to embrace everything. Daeseong-gyae(64gyae) is formed by Soseong-gyae piling another Soseong-gyae. The characteristics of Soseong 8gyae are embodied in two-level form, the top(inner gyae) and the bottom(outer gyae). Simultaneously, the whole characteristics of 대성괘 are embodied. The Sovereign should show his/her leadership based on the 'characteristics of Daeseong-gyae'. These characteristics are the contingency from 'contingency leadership'. In other words, they are preconditions which leaders ought to admit.

  • The present empirical research examines the effect of team leader's ethical leadership on team members' in-role behavior and psychological capital. This study also predicts that management decoupling and personal decoupling will moderate the effect of ethical leadership negatively. A growing body on leadership research highlights the role of team leader's moral manager in team settings. Ethical leadership also becomes a salient issue in the situation of unethical decision making and misuse of management power which have done by unethical leaders all around the world. In order to identify the effect of ethical leadership, I collected data of 922 team members from bank, semiconductor manufacturer, and university hospital. Our findings show that ethical leaderships have a positive effect on team members' in-role behavior and psychological capital. In addition, I also found the significant moderation effect of management decoupling which team members perceive their top management team's inauthenticity. Contrary to the prediction, however, the result doesn't support the moderation effect of personal decoupling. I discussed implications of confirming and disconfirming findings in details.

  • Purpose: Strategic management scholars have investigated the effects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm financial performance, identifying various impacts of CSR activities showing conflicting results. Meanwhile, relatively less attention has been paid to the antecedents of CSR activities. According to upper echelons theory, organizational outcomes are predicted by characteristics of CEOs and top management team members. Corporate social responsibility is a type of organizational outcome influenced by such top leader characteristics and choices. Recognizing the importance of exploring new antecedents of CSR activities, I examine whether CEO humility affects CSR outcomes. Research design, data and methodology: The KEJI index was set as a dependent variable to measure CSR activities. Among the 200 sample companies registered in the KEJI database in 2014, 85 companies were finally selected and analyzed to measure CEO humility, as independent variable. I also examine the moderating effects of firm slack on the relationship between CEO humility and CSR activities. Results: There is a positive relationship between CEO humility and corporate social responsibility activities and this relationship is negatively moderated by firm slack. Conclusions: This paper contributes to understanding positive impacts of having humble CEOs on corporate social responsibility outcomes and recognizes the role of firm slack.

  • Many Korean companies wanted to improve technological competitiveness and business performance radically through technology leadership initiatives. In-depth case studies about successful Korean technological innovation in the technology generation stage have potential to minimize Korea and developing country firms' trial and error when they are pursuing new technological innovation in the technology generation stage. There are few studies about developing country firms' technological innovations in the technology generation stage and especially process innovation studies are far less performed compared to product innovation studies. This is an exploratory study of POSCO's FINEX process technology innovation in the technology generation stage. These are my findings from this study. Firstly, leadership innovation in the technology generation stage is not a continuous development of catch-up innovation in the technology internalization stage and only top managements can initiate highly risky leadership innovation. Secondly, developing country firms which lacked in technological capability overcomes difficulties in the early stage through complementary technological collaboration with R&D first-movers. Thirdly, this company become a technology leader in spite of late entry in technology development race with developed country firms through rapid scale-ups.
