Zn-Co 합금도금의 조성에 미치는 전해조건의 영향 (Effect of Electrolytic Condition on Composition of Zn-Co Alloy Plating)

  • 자동차 부품에 Zn의 전기도금이 적용되고 있다. Zn 도금은 내식성을 증가시키기 위해 두께를 증가시키고 있다. 도금층의 두께가 증가함에 따라 전기도금 층이 파괴되는 문제가 제기되고 있다. Zn계 합금의 전기도금은 내부식성 향상 및 도금 두께 감소를 위해 연구되어 있다. 여러 합금 도금 중에 Zn-Co 합금 도금은 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 온도, 전류 밀도 및 전해용액 속 Co 함량과 같은 다양한 제조 조건에서 Zn-Co 전착의 조성을 조사하여 시료의 Co 함량에 대한 전기도금 조건의 영향을 파악하였다. 그 결과는 음극 과전압 및 확산 계수에 의해 설명하였다. 전류 밀도가 증가하고, 전해액 온도가 감소하고, 전해액 농도가 감소함에 따라 음극의 과전압이 증가한다. 음극의 과전압이 증가함에 따라 활성화분극보다 농도분극이 중요하게 된다. 농도분극은 확산 층 내에서 물질 전달은 확산에 의해 결정된다. 일정한 농도분극에서는 확산계수가 큰 원소가 다량 확산하게 된다. 즉 음극의 과전압이 증가함에 따라 확산계수가 큰 Zn 함량이 증가한다.

고상 반응법을 이용한 $BaTiO_3$ 나노 분말 제조 및 특성 평가 (Manufacturing of $BaTiO_3$ Nano-powder by Solid Reaction and Its Evaluations)

  • $BaTiO_3$는 perovskite 구조를 가지는 대표적인 강유전체 재료로서 MLCC (Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitor), PTC thermistor 등에 널리 사용되어지고 있으며, 그 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 현제 $BaTiO_3$ 분말 제조의 대표적인 합성법으로는 하소와 분쇄공정이 없는 수열합성법이 대표적이나, 나노 사이즈로 제작시 $BaTiO_3$는 마이크로 크기와 달리 입방정상으로 우세한 상태로 존재한다. 이는 제조과정 중의 hydroxyl defect의 영향과 나노 분말의 표면에너지 증가 때문이라고 보고된다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 일반적인 세라믹 제조 방법인 고상반응법을 이용한 나노 사이즈의 $BaTiO_3$ 제조를 위한 최적의 공정 조건을 확립하기 위하여 본 연구를 진행하였다. 조성은 $BaTiO_3$와 반응온도를 낮추기 위한 anatase의 $TiO_2$를 사용하였고, $BaCO_3/TiO_2$ 의 조성비 (1. 1.01, 1.02, 1.03)를 제어하여 혼합한 후, 24h ball-mill 하여 하소 온도 ($860^{\circ}C{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$) 변화에 따른 입자 사이즈와 입도 분포를 측정하였다. 제조된 $BaTiO_3$분말의 결정 구조 분석을 위하여 XRD (X-ray diffraction) 분석을 수행 하였는데, 분석 결과로부터 제조된 분말들이 정방정 (tetragonal)의 perovskite구조를 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 분말의 미세구조 확인을 위하여 SEM (scanning electron microscope) 관찰을 수행하였는데, 나노 사이즈의 구형 분말을 얻을 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

A Study on the Influence of Nonlinearity Coefficients in Air-Bearing Spindle Parametric Vibration

  • The development of the high-efficiency machine-tools equipment and new cutting tool materials with high hardness, heat- and wear-resistance has opened the way to application of high-speed cutting process. The basic argument of using of high-speed cutting processes is the reduction of time and the respective increase of machining productivity. In this sense, the spindle units may be regarded as one of the most important units, directly affecting many parameters of high-speed machining efficiency. One of the possible types of spindle units for high-speed cutting is the air-bearing type. In this paper, we propose the mathematical model of the dynamic behavior of the air-bearing spindle. To provide the high-level of speed capacity and spindle rotation accuracy we need the adequate model of "spindle-bearings" system. This model should consider characteristics of the interactions between system components and environment. To find the working characteristics of spindle unit we should derive the equations of spindle axis movement under the affecting factors, and solve these equations together with equations which describe the behavior of lubricant layer in bearing (bearing stiffness equations). In this paper, the three influence coefficients are introduced, which describe the center of spindle mass displacement, angle of shaft rotation around the axes under the unit force application and that under the unit torque application. These coefficients are operated in the system of differential equations, which describes the spindle axis spatial movement. This system is solved by Runge-Kutta method. Obtained trajectories and amplitude-frequency characteristics were then compared to experimental ones. The analysis shows good agreement between theoretical and experimental results, which confirms that the proposed model of air-bearing spindle is correctis correct

미세 조작을 위한 압전 구동 집게의 설계 및 제작 (A Design and Manufacturing of Two Types of Micro-grippers using Piezoelectric Actuators for the Micromanipulation)

  • In this study, two new types of micro-grippers in which micro-fingers are actuated by piezoelectric multi-layer benders and stacks are introduced for the manipulation of micrometer-sized objects. First, we constructed a 3-chopstick-mechanism tungsten gripper, which is composed of three chopsticks: two are designed to grip micro-objects, and tile third is used to help grasp and release the objects through overcoming especially electrostatic force among some surface effects including electrostatic, van der Waals forces and surface tension. Second, a 2-chopstick-mechanism silicon micro-gripper that uses an integrated force sensor to control the gripping force was developed. The micro-gripper is composed of a piezoelectric multilayer bender for actuating the gripper fingers, silicon fingertips fabricated by use of silicon-based micromachining, and supplementary supports. The micro-gripper is referred to as a hybrid-type micro-gripper because it is composed of two main components; micro-fingertips fabricated using micromachining technology to integrate a very sensitive force sensor for measuring the gripping force, and piezoelectric gripper finger actuators that are capable of large gripping forces and moving strokes. The gripping force signal was found to have a sensitivity of 667 N/V. To the design of each of components of both of the grippers. a systematic design approach was applied, which made it possible to establish the functional requirements and design parameters of the micro-grippers. The micro-grippers were installed on a manual manipulator to assess its performance in tasks such as moving micro-objects from one position to a desired position. The experiment showed that the micro-grippers function effectively.

FDM에서 단면오차법을 이용한 표면예측 (An Estimation on Area Error For Surface Roughness Advancement of Rapid Prototype by FDM)

  • As SLA(Sterealithography), SLS(Selective Laser Sintering), LOM(Laminated Object Manufacturing), FDM(Fused Deposition Modeling) etc. The FDM system the heart of a study and is developed by Stratasys co. ltd, in US., is small and cheap R.P. The material filament is heated until the material reaches a near-liquid state, it is pumped through a nozzle and become hand with a shape required, and this nozzle move pumping on the previously deposited material. Such FDM system that choice deposition type with X-Y plouter obtain in the thin continue layer by decreasing amount of extrusion or to central the injection amount when the head slow down at the corner, but in the process that fusion wax or resin become hand, deformation occur and it will affect the shape accuracy and the surface roughness. Such effect will depreciate quality and reliability of the product. Therefore, when the product made in actuality, the fundamental study on the basis geometry(surface, volume, line, angle) must be preceded and it have been research by many Free Form Fabrication. So, this basic object study purpose to obtain the fundamental geometry data and to enhance the surface roughness of the shape. And an operant can use the data for the progress of the surface roughness. This study research the estimation and application of the prototype surface roughness by adjustment the injection amount. And basie of this research, describe the pattern of prototype surface roughness and also used the result to estimate the surface of prototype.

압전-복합재료 발전 소자의 설계 및 특성 (Design of a Piezocomposite Generating Element and Its Characteristics)

  • 자연계에 존재하지만 사용되지 못 하고 버려지는 에너지를 효과적으로 채집하여 배터리를 충전하거나 전기 장치에 전기 에너지를 공급하는 에너지 하베스팅에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 압전재료는 물체의 움직임이나 진동으로부터 에너지를 채집하는 주요한 재료로 널리 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 PZT 압전 특성을 개량하고자 압전-복합재료 발전소자(Piezo-Composite Generating Element, 이하 PCGE)를 도입하여 성능 예측모델을 제안하고 이를 실험적으로 검증하였다. PCGE는 탄소/에폭시, PZT, 유리/에폭시 층으로 구성된다. 제작 과정에서 적층된 PCGE는 오토클레이브 안에서 $177^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 성형되는데, 이때 PCGE 내부에 초기잔류응력이 발생하게 되어 압전재료의 성능이 변화하게 된다. 세 종류의 PCGE를 제작한 후 에너지 채집 실험을 수행하여 제안된 성능 예측모델의 타당성과 기계적 진동을 전기적 에너지로 변환되는 성능을 검증하였다. 실험 결과 이론적인 성능 예측모델이 실험 결과와 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

마이크로 전자패키지용 Printed Wiring Board의 솔더레지스트공정에 따른 열적특성 (Thermophysical Properties of PWB for Microelectronic Packages with Solder Resist Coating Process)

  • 최근 인쇄회로기판(printed wiring board, PWB)은 마이크로 전자패키지분야에서 디자인 또는 제조측면에서 핵심기술로 인식되고 있다. PWB는 열적특성이 다른 여러 재료가 적층되어 있는 구조이고 제조공정을 지나는 동안에 각 층의 재료는 서로 다른 열팽창률을 나타나게 되어 워피지, 수축, 크기 등의 많은 불량을 발생시킨다. PWB의 열변형 특성은 제조공정 변수 중 솔더레지스트의 부피변화에 의하여 많은 영향을 받으므로 본 연구에서는 각각 2층, 4층 PBGA 및 CSP의 열변형 특성을 솔더레지스트 공정에 따라 분석하고자 하였다. 솔더레지스트의 부피분율이 30%이상일 경우, 2층 PWB의 열변형이 4층 PWB보다 최대 40%로 높게 측정되었다. 이와 같은 이유는 4L PWB는 고인성 특성을 지닌 프리프레그와 동박이 추가적으로 적층되어 있으므로 솔더레지스트의 열변형을 상쇄시키기 때문이다. 반면에 솔더레지스트의 부피분율이 30%이하일 경우, PWB의 층수 및 디자인에 관계없이 유사한 열변형 특성을 나타내었다.

Modeling of surface roughness in electro-discharge machining using artificial neural networks

  • Electro-Discharge machining (EDM) is a thermal process comprising a complex metal removal mechanism. This method works by forming of a plasma channel between the tool and the workpiece electrodes leading to the melting and evaporation of the material to be removed. EDM is considered especially suitable for machining complex contours with high accuracy, as well as for materials that are not amenable to conventional removal methods. However, several phenomena can arise and adversely affect the surface integrity of EDMed workpieces. These have to be taken into account and studied in order to optimize the process. Recently, artificial neural networks (ANN) have emerged as a novel modeling technique that can provide reliable results and readily, be integrated into several technological areas. In this paper, we use an ANN, namely, the multi-layer perceptron and the back propagation network (BPNN) to predict the mean surface roughness of electro-discharge machined surfaces. The comparison of the derived results with experimental findings demonstrates the promising potential of using back propagation neural networks (BPNNs) for getting a reliable and robust approximation of the Surface Roughness of Electro-discharge Machined Components.

UV경화수지의 고형상비 미세패턴 이형에 관한 연구 (A study on releasing high aspect ratio micro features formed with a UV curable resin)

  • Recently as the micro surface features become higher and diverse in their shapes, the releasing of the molded features becomes more crucial for manufacturing of the micro patterned products. The higher aspect ratio of the features or more complex shape of the features results in larger releasing force, elongation or cohesive failure of the features during the releasing. Another issue would be the uniformity of the released surface features after molding, especially for applications with large area surface. The micro patterned optical film, one of typical applications for micro surface features, consists of two layers, the thermoplastic base film and the micro formed UV resin layer. Therefore two interfaces are typically involved during the forming of this micro featured film; one is between the base film and the UV resin and another is between the resin and the pattern master. To improve the releasing of the molded surface features, the adhesive characteristic was investigated at these two interfaces. A PET film was used as a base film and two UV curable resins with different surface energy were prepared for different adhesiveness. Also the two different pattern masters were employed; one is made from brass-copper alloy and fabricated with PMMA. The adhesiveness at each interface was measured for some combinations of these base film, UV resins and the masters and the effect of this adhesiveness on the releasing was investigated.

디지털 시대의 의상 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of Clothing Design in the Digital Age)

  • This study shows that clothes to be just the same as the real thing can be Produced through the third dimension computer graphics, and then presents that not only the area of fashion design can be expanded in the virtual reality field by doing the simulation of the fashion show, but also the information can be made the real time public ownership and the communication can be fulfilled smoothly. In this study, analyzing the third dimension computer graphic programs to be used much at present, Alias Wavefront Company's Maya software which was the most effective in the clothes simulation and the clothes CAD SGS OptiTex 8.7 which went well substitutive for it were used of them. The conclusions of this study that got through the work manufacture are as follows: The first, if the file manufacturing in the clothes CAD by using the computer was stored, the pattern used 3D simulation was available because it could be summoned in 3D software. The second, if the data of DXF form in Maya program was summoned, they could not be applied by Maya Cloth supported in Nurbs only because they were recognized as the DXF_layer. So the curve along the outer lines of the pattern was drawn and Maya Cloth was applied to be possible to get the natural silhouette of clothes. The third, when the clothes were manufactured by 3D, if the draping character was applied according to the textile special quality, not only the control of textile's thickness, weight, quality feeling, and silhouette was available, but also the clothes were available to graft the special textile materials. The fourth, the natural motion of model was produced by capturing the actual model's walking action In order to produce the fashion show motion and also the dynamic fashion show was available by the angle of camera, the establishment of lighting, and etc. in the final rendering. The clothes manufactured by 3D are available to change the design by changing the materials, or by adding the details, or by utilizing the special materials on clothes. Therefore, the trial and error following at the clothes manufacture can be reduced. But the elevation of the rendering speed, the price down, the strengthening of personal security, and etc. are required.
