The purpose of this study was to present the quantitative data which riders can utilize teaching field by comparison analysis of kinematics according to skill level of rider during 2 strides rising trot with the JeJu's-Horse. Participated subjects was consisted of total 10 riders(unskilled: n=5, skilled: n=5). The method of experiment & analysis was based on 3D cinematography. Variables were consisted of temporal, linear & angular kinematics by each event & phase. The skilled assigned more ratio of elapsed time in air than support phase, had the less range of motion in up-down direction and more consistent velocity in lateral & forward direction and performed periodic up-down movement with alignment in vertical direction according to elapsing of phases. The skilled more flexed at elbow and extended backwardly according to elapsing of phases, while more flexed forwardly at hip & knee and plantarflexion at ankle. The skilled postured backward extension but the unskilled do forward flexion. That is, It was considered that the unskilled continued more unstable posture than the skilled during 2 strides in rising trot.
Purpose : To quantify the movement of lung Parenchyma for ICRU 50 Planning Target Volume (PTV) delineation of the lung region. Materials and Method : Fluoroscopic observations and measurements are Performed on 10 patients with chest region cancer who have normal putmonary functions We have divided the lung region into 12 parts for the right lung, 10 parts for the left lung and four to five Points of lung parenchyma were selected for anatomical analysis Points, Fluoroscopic images are sent to a computer and then movements are measured. Results : Both lowe lobes showed the longest longitudinal movements because of breathing (average 14.1mm, maximum 22.1mm), while anteroposterior displacement showed the smallest value. Lateral movements of the lung parenchyma averaged 6.6mm, and the maximum value was 9.1mm, (both hilar regions showed maximum values because of cardiac motion) Conclusion : We could quantify the lung movements by measuring parenchyma displacements. The movements of both upper lobes were less than those of the middle and upper lobes in longitudinal and transverse movements. Optimal margins can be selected for PTV delineation using these results.

In this study, the vibration analysis of the underground box structures induced train movement is studied. In order to perform these analysis, dynamic data, which was measured when subway is in service, are gained by attaching accelerometers on the structure such as lower beam, lateral wall and upper slab. Also, accelerometers are attached on the lower beams and side walls of the gravel ballast and concrete ballast sections in order to compare vibration due to ballast materials. The vibration results of upper slabs and lower beams reveal that the vibration on the upper slabs is greater than the lower beams. Also, the results of the crack gauge on the upper slab show that crack width dose not change due to vibration, These means that the effect of the vibration on the structure is very limited. In order to evaluate the vibration of the structure, acceleration unit is converted to velocity unit comparing with the existing velocity data gained from the platforms.

The purpose of this study is to assess the ability of balance control in moving surround using head mount device and force platform and to examine the clinical usefulness of COP parameters. Fifteen patients with stroke and healthy persons were participated. COP parameters were obtained as total path distance, frequency of anterior-posterior and medial-lateral component by FFT analysis, weight-spectrum analysis in the two different conditions; (1) in comfortable standing with opened or closed eyes, (2) in virtual moving surround delivered using HMD to four different moving pattern. In virtual moving surround setting, moving pattern was composed of close-far, superior-inferior tilting(pitch), right-left tilting(roll) and horizontal rotation(yaw) movement. In all parameters, the reliebility of COP analysis system was significantly high. Also, the construct validity compared between fifteen patients with stroke and normal persons was excellent in virtual moving surround condition(p
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dentoskeletal and soft tissue profile changes after extraction of two lower first or second premolars in "borderline" adult skeletal Class III cases. Methods: Twenty-eight patients with "borderline" skeletal Class III malocclusion were studied. All of them were treated by extraction of two lower first or second premolars. Lateral cephalometric radiographs taken at the start and end of treatment were analysed. Twenty-five cephalometric variables were calculated and paired $t$-tests were performed. Results: After treatment, no significant changes were noted in the skeletal parameters ($p{\geq}0.05$). Regarding the dental parameters, the L1-MP angle decreased by $8.1^{\circ}$, the U1-L1 angle increased by $7.7^{\circ}$ ($p$ < 0.01), the overjet distance increased by 5.7 mm ($p$ < 0.01), the L1-NB angle decreased by $7.3^{\circ}$ and the L1-NB distance decreased by 4.8 mm ($p$ < 0.01). The soft tissue parameters of Li-E, Li-H and Li-RL2 distance decreased by 3.2 mm, 3.4 mm and 4.1 mm respectively ($p$ < 0.01). Conclusions: Orthodontic camouflage treatment by extraction of two lower first or second premolars provides a viable treatment alternative for "borderline" skeletal Class III cases to achieve a good occlusal relationship.

In order to produce size-controllable Ag nanoparticles and a nanomesh-patterned Si substrate, we introduce a rapid thermal annealing(RTA) method and a metal assisted chemical etching(MCE) process. Ag nanoparticles were self-organized from a thin Ag film on a Si substrate through the RTA process. The mean diameter of the nanoparticles was modulated by changing the thickness of the Ag film. Furthermore, we controlled the surface energy of the Si substrate by changing the Ar or $H_2$ ambient gas during the RTA process, and the modified surface energy was evaluated through water contact angle test. A smaller mean diameter of Ag nanoparticles was obtained under $H_2$ gas at RTA, compared to that under Ar, from the same thickness of Ag thin film. This result was observed by SEM and summarized by statistical analysis. The mechanism of this result was determined by the surface energy change caused by the chemical reaction between the Si substrate and $H_2$. The change of the surface energy affected on uniformity in the MCE process using Ag nanoparticles as catalyst. The nanoparticles formed under ambient Ar, having high surface energy, randomly moved in the lateral direction on the substrate even though the etching solution consisting of 10 % HF and 0.12 % $H_2O_2$ was cooled down to $-20^{\circ}C$ to minimize thermal energy, which could act as the driving force of movement. On the other hand, the nanoparticles thermally treated under ambient $H_2$ had low surface energy as the surface of the Si substrate reacted with $H_2$. That's why the Ag nanoparticles could keep their pattern and vertically etch the Si substrate during MCE.
The purpose of this study was to compare EMG and GRF during a free throw. Seven pairs of surface electrodes were attached to the right-hand side of the body to monitor the flexor carpi radialis (FC), extensor carpi radialis longus (EC), biceps brachii (BB), triceps brachii (TB), rectus femoris (RF), tibialis anterior (TA) and medial gastrocnemius (GM). GRF data from two force platform were collected during a free throw. The results showed that the muscle activities in the unskilled group must be highly activated prior to the moment of release. This means that a skilled participant can shoot a free throw more efficiently while producing less muscle activeness than an unskilled participant. The DCP of unskilled group in the medio-lateral direction were greater than the corresponding values in skilled group. This showed that the unskilled group were not able to shoot the free throws stably. Thus, when a teacher or instructor teaches students how to shoot free throw, it is considered that the teacher show the learner how to use not only the upper limbs but also lower limbs on the basis of the efficent connecting movement and the flexibility in a stable procedure.
Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the displacement pattern and the stress distribution of the finite element model 3-D visualization during symphyseal widening according to the osteotomy position, osteotomy type, and distraction device. Methods: The kinds of distraction devices used were tooth-borne type, hybrid type, bone-borne type and tooth-borne type $30^{\circ}$ angulated, and the kinds of osteotomy design were vertical osteotomy line between the central incisors and step osteotomy line through the symphysis. Results: All reference points of the mandible including the condyles were displaced laterally irrespective of the osteotomy position, osteotomy method and distraction device. The anteroposterior or vertical displacements showed small differences between the groups. The widening pattern of the osteotomy line in the tooth-borne type of device was v shaped, and that of bone-borne type was a reverse v shape. However, the pattern in the hybrid type was parallel. The lateral displacement of the mandibular angle by the bone-borne device was more remarkable than the other types of devices. The displacement by the $30^{\circ}$ angulated tooth-borne type was different between the left and right sides in both the transverse and anteroposterior aspects. Conclusion: The design of the distraction devices and osteotomy line can influence the displacement pattern and the stress distribution during mandibular symphyseal distraction osteogenesis procedures.
The US railroad network carries 40% of the nation's total freight. Railroad bridges are the most critical part of the network infrastructure and, therefore, must be properly maintained for the operational safety. Railroad managers inspect bridges by measuring displacements under train crossing events to assess their structural condition and prioritize bridge management and safety decisions accordingly. The displacement of a railroad bridge under train crossings is one parameter of interest to railroad bridge owners, as it quantifies a bridge's ability to perform safely and addresses its serviceability. Railroad bridges with poor track conditions will have amplified displacements under heavy loads due to impacts between the wheels and rail joints. Under these circumstances, vehicle-track-bridge interactions could cause excessive bridge displacements, and hence, unsafe train crossings. If displacements during train crossings could be measured objectively, owners could repair or replace less safe bridges first. However, data on bridge displacements is difficult to collect in the field as a fixed point of reference is required for measurement. Accelerations can be used to estimate dynamic displacements, but to date, the pseudo-static displacements cannot be measured using reference-free sensors. This study proposes a method to estimate total transverse displacements of a railroad bridge under live train loads using acceleration and tilt data at the top of the exterior pile bent of a standard timber trestle, where train derailment due to excessive lateral movement is the main concern. Researchers used real bridge transverse displacement data under train traffic from varying bridge serviceability levels. This study explores the design of a new bridge deck-pier experimental model that simulates the vibrations of railroad bridges under traffic using a shake table for the input of train crossing data collected from the field into a laboratory model of a standard timber railroad pile bent. Reference-free sensors measured both the inclination angle and accelerations of the pile cap. Various readings are used to estimate the total displacements of the bridge using data filtering. The estimated displacements are then compared to the true responses of the model measured with displacement sensors. An average peak error of 10% and a root mean square error average of 5% resulted, concluding that this method can cost-effectively measure the total displacement of railroad bridges without a fixed reference.
Internal measurement technique has been commonly and classically used to guide down-fractured maxilla by Le Fort I osteotomy into its new position during intraoperative procedure for correlating preoperative model works with surgery. However, It has been challenged now by several authors due to some problems as its inaccuracy in three-dimensional changes at surgery, difficulty to measure during surgery and impossibility of rechecking at the end of surgery etc. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of maxillary movement by external measuring technique and to determine its accuracy between the prediction tracing and a new maxillary position. The results indicate that the external measuring technique was predictable in the vertical, horizontal and transverse change of the maxilla as its prediction, however, it has a tendency to shift the maxilla more anterior and inferior in overall direction than prediction. Post-operative canting difference were mimic, however Ehange of the maxillary dental midline was large and had a right-shifting tendency.1 The precise methods to keep maxillary dental midline as same as prediction and the avoidance of uneven force applied to the mandible for autorotation should be necessary during surgery in use of external measurement technique.
