광섬유전송에 의한 Zircaloy-4 봉단마개밀봉의 Nd:YAG LBW의 최적조건에 관한 연구 (A study on the Optimum Conditions of Nd:YAG LBW for Zircaloy-4 End Cap Closure By Optical Fiber Transmission)

  • This study is to investigate the optimum conditions of Nd:YAG laser beam welding for Zircaloy-4 end cap closure by optical fiber transmission. Laser welding parameters which affect the penetration depth and bead width were experimentally examined using the various beam radius by the beam quality analyzer, joint geometries of end cap and the laser parameters which mean pulse width, repetition rate and pulse energy. Also, an optimum welding speed and the effect of assistant gas with varying the flow rate of He were investigated. We found that the laser average power for the end cap welding will be 230W and rotation speed must not exceed 8 RPM, the best position of focus using optical fiber with 600.mu.m will be 2 to 3mm below the surface of the material.

  • Laser cutting technology is one of flexible rapid manufacturing technologies with various advantageous including a high cutting speed, manufacturing of parts with a complex shape and others. The quality of the cut part and the optimum cutting conditions are highly dependent on the combination of the process parameters. The objective of this research works is to investigate the influence of process parameters, such as power of laser, cutting speed of laser and material thickness, on the surface roughness and the striation formation of the cut section for the case of cutting of CSP 1N sheet using high power Nd:YAG Laser with a continuous wave (CW). In order to find the relationship between process parameters and the surface roughness and the striation formation of the cut section, several experiments are carried out. Through the investigation of the empirical results, it has been shown that the surface roughness is highly related to the striation formation, including the frequency and angle of the striation, of the cut section. From the results of experiments, an optimum cutting speed for each cutting condition has been obtained to improve both the quality of the cut surface and the cutting efficiency.

레이저 산란 영상을 이용한 표면거칠기의 실험적 규명에 관한 연구 (Study on the Experimental Identification of Surface Roughness Using Laser Scattering Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 레이저 산란 영상을 이용하여 표면거칠기를 실험적으로 규명하였다. 우선, 레이저 산란 매개변수들과 표면형상에 따라 나타나는 광로의 편향성에 대해 고찰하였고, 이를 이용하여 레이저 산란 검사 시스템을 구성하였다. 연삭표면에서 획득한 레이저 산란 영상을 분석한 결과 영상에서 수직방향으로 나타나는 산란광 분포영역이 증가와 감소를 반복하는 특징이 나타났다. 이러한 차별적 특징을 표현하는 레이저 산란 영상을 획득하기 위해 실험계획법을 이용하여 레이저 산란변수들의 최적조건을 선정하였고, 연삭표면에서 표면거칠기가 증가함에 따라 레이저 산란 영상 내에서 수직방향으로 나타나는 산란광 분포 영역이 선형적으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 정보는 마이크로 표면의 평가 및 거칠기 측정 시 주요한 인자로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • For the conventional welding method. the high heat transfer makes the crystallized zone of the work material unavoidable. Whereas the laser is able to weld the amorphous metal without a crystallized zone, because heat transfer is limited within a very small restricted volume. In this paper, the possibilities and the limits of the laser welding were studied to utilize the advantageous properties of amorphous metal foils.

  • In this study, an attempt was made to demonstrate the possibility of using laser scribing method in manufacturing the barrier ribs of plasma display panel. The scribing with a CO2 laser was conducted on the green tape produced by the doctor blade tape casting method. Among the processing parameters, the quenching gas pressure, shape of mask, and laser power were found to affect the depth and angle of the scibed barrier ribs.

  • During laser spot welding of the braun tube electron gun, phenomena such as serious spattering and oxidative reaction, etc. were occurred. The spatter occurred from weld pool affects the braun tube, namely it blocks up a very small hole on the shadow mask and causes short circuit between two roles of the electron gun. We guessed that high power density and oxidative reaction are main sources of these problems. So, we studied to prevent and to reduce spatter occurring in spot welding of the braun tube electron gun using pulsed Nd:YAG laser. The characteristics of laser output power was estimated, and the loss of laser energy by optical parameter and spatter was measured by powermeter. The effects of welding parameters, laser defocused distance and incident angle, were investigated on the shape and penetration depth of the laser welded bead in flare and flange joints. From these results, the laser peak power was a major factor to control penetration depth and to occur spatter. It was found that the losses of laser energy by optic parameter and sticked spatter affect seriously laser weldability of thin sheets. The deepest penetration depth is gotten on focal position, and a "bead transition" occurred with a slight displacement of focal position relative to the workpiece surface and the absorption rate of the laser energy is affected by the shape factor of the workpiece. When we changed the incident angle of laser beam, the penetration depth was decreased a little with increasing of the incident angle, and the bead width was increased. The spattering was prevented by considering laser beam energy and incident angle.ent angle.

  • 7 diethylaminocoumarin (DEAC) 레이저 염료의 광물리적 특성들을 다양한 용매에서 측정하였다. DEAC의 방출 스펙트럼은 양이온성(CTAC) 미셀과 음이온성(SDS) 미셀에서 측정하였고, 레이저 파라미터는 아세톤, 다이옥산, 에탄올 및 dimethylforamide (DMF)과 같은 여러 가지 용매에 대하여 계산하였다. DEAC의 광반응성은 366 nm 빛을 사용하여 $CCl_4$ 용매에서 연구하였고, 광화학 수득률 (${\Phi}_c$)과 속도 상수(k)도 결정하였다. picric acid (PA), tetracyanoethylene (TCNE), 7,7,8,8-tetracynoquinonedimethane (TCNQ)등의 유기 수용체와 DEAC의 상호 작용에 대한 연구는 acetonitrile ($CH_3CN$) 용액에서 형광을 측정하므로 써 수행하였다. DEAC의 전기화학적 연구는 백금 전극을 사용하여 0.1 mol/L tetrabutyl ammonium perchlorate (TBAP)/$CH_3CN$ 용액에서 순환 전류-전압법, convolutive voltammetry 및 디지털 시뮬레이션을 조합하여 수행하였고, 전기화학 파라미터도 결정하였다.

  • Nowadays, $CO_2$ lasers are used widely in many applications such as materials fabrication, communications, remote sensing and military purpose etc. Especially, $CO_2$ lasers are in the spotlight at surface handling and heat processing. It is important to control the laser output power and beam Quality in those fields. And those are studied the important parameters deciding the fluctuation of laser beam are smoothing capacitor, frequency and the characteristics of laser resonator. But the study of plasma parameters of $CO_2$ lasers are little. So we detect the $CO_2$ laser from emitted $CO_2$ laser discharge plasma using a non-contact photo tansistor sensor and Low pass filter. In this study, The relativity of the emitted light of discharge plasma and CO2 laser output.

레이저 스텐실 가공 시스템 및 공정 기술 개발 (Development of Laser Process and System for Stencil Manufacturing)

  • Stencil is used normally as a mask for seeder pasting on pad of PCB. The objective of this study is to develop stencil cutting system and determine optimal conditions which make good-quality stencil by using a Nd:YAG laser. The effects of process parameters such as laser power, type of mask, gas pressure, cutting speed and pulse width old the cut edge quality were investigated. In order to analyse fille cut surface characteristics(roughness, kerf width, dross) optical microscopy, SEM photography and roughness test were used. As a result, the optimal conditions of process parameters were determined, and the practical feasibility of the proposed system is also examined by using a commercial Gerber file for PCB stencil manufacturing.

레이저 유도에칭을 이용한 티타늄 미세채널 제조 (Fabrication of Titanium Microchannels by using Ar+ Laser-assited Wet Etching)

  • Characteristics of laser-assisted wet etching of titanium in phosphoric acid were investigated to examine the feasibility of this method for fabrication of high aspect ratio microchannels. Laser power, number of scans, etchant concentration, position of beam waist and scanning speed were taken into consideration as the major process parameters exerting the temperature distribution and the cross sectional profile of etched channels. Experimental results indicated that laser power influences on both etch width and depth while number of scans and scanning speed mainly affect on the etch depth. At a low etchant concentration, the cross sectional profile of an etched channel becomes a U-shape but it gradually turns into a V-shape as the concentration increases. On the other hand, surface of the laser beam focus with respect to the sample surface is found to be a key factor determining the bubble dynamics and thus the process stability. It is demonstrated that metallic microchannels with different cross sectional profiles can be fabricated by properly controlling the process parameters. Microchannels of aspect ratio up to 8 with the width and depth ranges of 8∼32 m and 50∼300 m, respectively, were fabricated.
