소음쳄버용 다공판 시스템 개발을 위한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study to Develop the Perforated Panel System for Noise Chamber)

  • 병원, 호텔 및 철도역사 등과 같은 대형의 건물 및 차량내부에 사용되는 공조 시스템은 일반적으로 높은 소음을 발생시킨다. 이러한 공조용 발생소음을 저감시키기 위해서 흡음재가 부착된 쳄버를 공기 시스템에 설치한다. 그러나 이러한 쳄버에 설치된 흡음재는 유리섬유 혹은 폴리우레탄 폼이 많이 사용되기 때문에 최근에는 환경적 문제를 야기한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 환경친화적인 다공판 시스템이 내장된 소음쳄버를 개발하였다. 이 소음쳄버는 기존의 소음쳄버에 비해서 중고주파수 영역에서 통일한 소음저감 성능을 나타내지만, 200Hz~400Hz 영역에서는 최고 8dB(A)까지 소음저감 효과가 있다.

소형 압력 토조내에 타입된 말뚝의 인발 거동과 극한 인발 지지력 결정에 관한 연구 (Study on Pullout Behavior and Determination of Ultimate Uplift Capacity of Pile Driven in Small Pressured Chamber)

  • 소형 압력 토조(small pressure chamber)를 이용하여 포화된 사질토에 타입된 폐단 강관 말뚝의 인발거동 특성을 연구하였다. 소형 압력 토조 시험에서는 인발 하중이 인발변위와 함께 증가하다가 급작스러운 미끄러짐 변위가 발생되는 현상이 2-3회 반복되다가 완전 인발파괴에 이르게 되는데, 이때 첫번째 미끄러짐 변위가 발생하는 하중의 크기를 극한 인발 지지력으로 정의할 수 있다. 또한, 소형 압력 토조 시험에서는 미세한 시험 조건에 의해서도 극한 인발 지지력의 크기가 50% 이상의 오차를 나타낼 수도 있으므로 모형 지반을 형성할 때마다 인발 재하 시험에 의하여 극한 인발 지지력을 결정하여 사용하는 것이 좋을 것으로 판단되며, 이때 1차 인발 시험에 의해 교란된 지반의 상태는 모형 말뚝의 크기에 적합한 타격에너지를 가해주어 회복시킬 수 있다.

장파 제어체 Eco-breaker 2의 수리특성 (On the Hydraulic Characteristics of Efficient Long Wave Energy Absorber-Eco-breaker 2)

  • 최근 폭증하는 해상물동량으로 인해 선박은 날로 대형화되며 현재 우리나라에서는 이러한 추이에 대응하기 위해 초대형 항만건설이 서둘러 진행되고 있으며 그 중 일부는 이미 부분적으로 완성되어 운영 중이거나 계속적인 확장이 예정되어있다. 초대형 항만의 경우 항 정온도 확보를 위해 대형 직립형 방파제가 수반되기 마련이나 비교적 높은 반사율로 인해 장주기의 파랑에 취약한 구조적 문제를 지닌다. 장주기 파랑의 효과적 제어를 위해 본 고에서는 아치형 curtain wall과 유수실로 구성된 된 장파 제어체 -Eco-breaker 2- 가 제시되며 Eco-breaker 2의 수리특성을 수치적으로 규명하였다. 수치모형은 가장 강건한 파랑모형인 Navier-Stokes Eq.과 SPH(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics), LES(Large Eddy Simulation) 기법에 기초하여 구성하였다. 수치모형의 검증을 위한 수리모형실험도 병행하였다. 수치모의 결과 Eco-breaker 2는 유수실 내부에 생성되어 아치형 curtain wall 전면 수역과 유수실을 주기적으로 넘나드는 대규모 구조적 와로 장파를 효과적으로 제어할 수 있었다. 또한 대규모 구조적 와의 생성 영역과 세기는 내습하는 파랑의 주기에 종속하며 유수실 체류시간이 입사파 주기의 반을 하회하는 경우 반사계수는 최대 0.18까지 낮아진다. 이러한 결과는 Eco-breaker 2가 환경친화적 항의 개발에 적극적으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사하는 것으로 이를 위해 그 구체적 제원도 함께 제시하였다.

  • Four helical resonators are distributed in a 2 ${\times}$ 2 array by modifying upper part of the conventional reactive ion etching(RIE) type LCD etcher in order to prepare a large area plasma source. Since the resonance condition of the RF signal to the helical antenna, one RF power supply is used for delivering the power efficiently to all four helical resonators without an impedance matching network Previous work of 2 ${\times}$ 2array inductively coupled plasma(ICP)requires one matching circuit to each ICP antenna for more efficient power deliverly Distributions of ion density and electron temperature are measured in terms of chamber pressure, gas flow rate and RF power . By adjusting the power distribution among the four helical resonator units, argon plasma density of higher than 10$\^$17/㎥ with the uniformity of better than 7% can be obtained in the 620 ${\times}$ 620$\textrm{mm}^2$ chamber.

고 에너지 광자선의 조사선량 측정 시 전리함의 스템효과 보정계수 (Stem Effect Correction Factor of Ionization Chamber in Exposure Measurements of High Energy Photons)

  • Ionization chambers often exhibit a stem effect, caused by interactions of radiation with air near the chamber end, or with dielectric in the chamber stem or cable. In this study measured stem effect correction factor for length of ionization chamber from medical linear accelerator recommend to with the use of stem correction method. For a model of the Farmer-type chamber, were used to calculate the beam quality correction factor. These interactions contribute to the apparent measured exposure. Additionally, it needs to consider ionization chamber use of small volume and stem effect of cable by a large field. Linear accelerator generated photons energy and increased dose repeatedly measured by using stem correction method. Stem effect was dependence of the energy and increases with photon energy conditions improved of beam quality. In conclusion, stem effect correction factor was measured within 0.4% calculated according to the exposures stem length and also supposed to determined below 1% of another stem correction method.

와류실식 소형디젤기관의 배기 성능에 관한 연구 (Study on exhaust emission at the swirl chamber in small diesel engine)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the performance of swirl combustion chamber diesel engine by changing the jet passage area, the depth and shape of the piston top cavity (main chamber). The performance of diesel engine with newly changed swirl combustion chamber was tested through the experimental conditions as engine speed, load and injection timing etc. The test results were compared and analyzed. And another purpose of this research is to make a new diesel engine that is satisfied fuel consumption and regulation value of exhaust gas. 1. The rate of fuel consumption was affected significantly by the jet passage area at the high speed and load than low speed and low load. The influence of jet passage large area was proven to decrease the rate of fuel consumption. 2. Smoke was affected significantly by the depth of the piston top cavity, but exhaust temperature and the rate of fuel consumption wasn't affected. The rate of fuel consumption was affected by changing injection timing. 3. The rate of fuel consumption, exhaust temperature and Smoke were affected significantly by the shape of the piston top cavity from rectangular to trapezoid. That is we have all high value. The exhaust smoke density and exhaust gas temperature depended sensitively on variation of the injection timing rather than the shape of the combustion chamber within the experimental conditions. 4. We made a new diesel engine that is satisfied design target values(sfc=190 g/hr, NOx + THC=6.0 g/KWh, PM=0.3 KWh), the rate of fuel consumption and emission standard etc., through changing injection timing at the maximum torque point and rated power point. Although we have a little high NOx value.

Comparison of the Particulate Matter Removal Capacity of 11 Herbaceous Landscape Plants

  • Background and objective: Particulate matter (PM) has a fatal effect on health. There have been many studies on the use of plants such as trees and shrubs as eco-friendly and sustainable biofilter for the removal of PM. In forming more green space, ground cover plants play an important role in multi-layered planting. This study was conducted to investigate the ability of plants to reduce PM, targeting Korean native ground cover plants with high availability in urban green spaces. Methods: For 4 species of Asteraceae, 4 species of Liliaceae, and 3 species of Rosaceae, one species of plants at a time were placed in an acrylic chamber (800 × 800 × 1000 mm, L × W × H) modeling an indoor space. After the injection of PM, the amount of PM remaining in the chamber over time was investigated. Results: For all three types of PM (PM10, PM2.5, PM1), significant difference occurred in the amount of PM remaining between plant species after 1 hour in the Liliaceae chamber, 3 hours in the Asteraceae chamber, and 5 hours in the Rosaceae chamber. With Liliaceae, the leaf area and the amount of PM remaining in the chamber showed a negative (-) correlation. With the Asteraceae and Rosaceae, there was a weak negative correlation between the leaf area and the amount of PM remaining in the chamber. Conclusion: When using ground cover plants as a biofilter to remove PM, it is considered effective to select a species with a large total leaf area, especially for Liliaceae.

Yield Response of Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] to High Temperature Condition in a Temperature Gradient Chamber

  • Recently, abnormal weather conditions, such as extreme high temperatures and droughts, have increased in frequency due to climate change, there has accordingly been growing concern regarding the detrimental effects on field crop, including soybean. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the effects of increased temperatures on soybean growth and yield using a temperature gradient chamber (TGC). Two major types of soybean cultivar, a medium- seed cultivar such as Daepung-2 and a large-seed cultivar such as Daechan, were used and four temperature treatments, aT+1℃ (ambient temperature+1℃), aT+2℃ (ambient temperature+2℃), aT+3℃ (ambient temperature+3℃) and aT+4℃ (ambient temperature+4℃) were established to examine the growth response and seed yield of each cultivar. Seed yield showed a higher correlation with seed weight (r=0.713***) and an increase in temperature affected seed yield by reducing the single seed weight. In particular, the seed growth rate of the large-seed cultivar (Daechan) increased at high temperature, resulting in a reduction in the number of days for full maturity. Our results accordingly indicate that large-seed cultivar, such as Daechan, is potentially vulnerable to high temperature stress. The results of this study can be used as basic data in the development of cultivation technology to reduce the damage caused by elevated temperatures. Also, further research is required to evaluate the response of each process contributing to seed yield production under high temperatures.
