블록형 프로그래밍 언어 기반 인공지능 교육이 학습자의 인공지능 기술 태도에 미치는 영향 분석 (An Analysis of the Influence of Block-type Programming Language-Based Artificial Intelligence Education on the Learner's Attitude in Artificial Intelligence)

  • 인공지능이 우리 생활의 다양한 곳에 사용되기 시작하였으며, 최근 그 영역 또한 점차 확대되고 있다. 하지만 인공지능에 대한 교육이 초등학생을 대상으로 이루어지고 있지 않기 때문에 학생들이 인공지능 기술에 대해 어렵게 인식하는 경향이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어와 인공지능 교육 방법을 고찰하고, 인공지능에 대한 교육을 실시함으로써 학생들의 인공지능 기술에 대한 태도의 변화를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 학생들의 수준에 적절한 블록형 프로그래밍 언어 기반 인공지능 기술에 대한 교육을 실시하였다. 그리고 학생들의 인공지능 기술에 대한 태도를 단일집단 사전사후 검사를 통해 태도의 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 인공지능에 대한 흥미, 인공지능 기술에 대한 접근 가능성, 학교에서 인공지능 기술에 대한 교육의 필요성에 있어 유의미한 향상을 가져왔다.

항상성, 동.식물 분류, 식물의 양분생산에 대한 학생의 개념 조사와 오개념 형성 원인으로써 교사 요인의 분석 (The Conceptions of Homeostasis, Classification of Animals and Plants, and Food Production in Plants of Students and The Teacher Factor as a Possible Source of Students' Misconception)

  • This study evaluates on students' understanding and misunderstanding of homeostasis, classification of animals and plants, and food production in plants, and analyzes the teacher factor as a possible source of students' misconception. A total number of 863 students and 47 biology teachers at the middle and high school were randomly selected. Students' conceptions and misconceptions were measured with concept evaluation statements (CES) which was translated into Korean by author. The CES was developed and validated by Simson and Marek (1988). Teacher's misconceptions were investigated the way in which teachers marked students' work. The supposed answer given to the teachers to mark was based on misconceptions held by students tested in concept evaluation statements. The results of this study are as follows : 1. 0% of 7th Grade students, 4.5% of 9th Grade students and 5.4% of 11th Grade students understood homeostasis. There was a significant difference at the level of students' understanding of homeostasis according to schools and gender(P<0.05). Many students had a tendency of understanding the conception of the homeostasis by experiences and unscientific use of everyday language rather than a scientific concept. 2. 0.4% of 7th Grade students, 3.1% of 9th Grade students and 2.9% of 11th Grade students understood classification of animals and plants. There was a significant difference at the level of students' understanding of classification of animals and plants according to schools and gender(P<0.05). Students classified animals and plants through personal experiences and observations instead of trying to classify through microscopic analysis of animals and plants cell. 3. 1.2% of 7th Grade students, 10.3% of 9th Grade students and 19.4% of 11th Grade students understood food production in plants. There was a significant difference at the level of students' understanding of food production in plants according to schools and gender(P<0.05). Students had a misconception that food production in plants was done by an absorption of nutrients from soil not by photosynthesis. 4. A large proportion of teachers surveyed in this study appear to have misconceptions about homeostasis (38.1%), classification of animals and plants (34.1%), food production in plants (40.4%). The male teachers had. more misconceptions than female teachers(P<0.05). However, they didn't show any significant differences according to schools and teaching experience(P<0.05). 5. According to the investigation of teachers' perception, 29.8% of the teachers acknowledged that they might be a cause for students' misconceptions. This study shows that 38.3% of teachers did not understand the analyzed biological concepts precisely. By comparing the data of students and teachers, it turned out that teachers participate in the students' misconceptions. And teachers themselves acknowledged that students' misconceptions could be caused by them. Therefore. teachers' right understanding of fundamental biological concepts should precede to students' biology education. New training programs for biology teachers seem to be urgent.

장애인평생교육'의', '을 위한', '으로부터' 내부 토대: 발달장애(developmental disabilities)-학교(schools) 융합 (Internal Foundation on the 'of', 'for', 'from' Lifelong Education for the Disabled: Convergence of Developmental Disabilities and Schools)

  • 본 연구는 장애인평생교육의 내부 토대를 탐색하는 데 목적을 두어 실시되었다. 이를 위한 내용 의미의 구성체계에 대해 장애인평생교육을 기준으로 주체를 의미하는 '의(of)', 목적을 의미하는 '을 위한(for)', 실천적 주요 기반을 의미하는 '으로부터(from)'와 같이 세 가지 요소로 분류 구성하였다. 연구 방법은 장애인평생교육 지원체제의 내부 토대를 형성하기 위해 학문적 근거나 실천적 적용 모델 및 방안을 논의하거나 실제화한 선행연구를 통한 문헌분석이 일차적으로 고려되었으며, 이차적으로는 문헌분석의 근거를 기초로 하여 연구 내용의 구체성을 제고하기 위해 전문가 회의를 실시하였다. 연구 내용은 장애인평생교육의 내부 토대를 형성하기 위하여 요구되는 주체, 목적, 실천적 주요기반을 종합하여 발달장애 토대화와 학교 토대화와 같이 크게 두 가지로 제시되었다. 위 두 가지 토대 요인에 의하여 장애인평생교육 지원체제의 내부적 보편성을 일차적으로 확립하고, 연계적으로 감각장애 유형 및 일반평생교육 분야와 융합하는 측면이 반영되었다. 연구 결과, 장애인평생교육 지원체제 전반의 장기적 안정성 측면이 분석되었다.

Designing an Integrated Online-guide for Overseas Applicants Seeking to Teach English in Korea: Focus on Job and Visa Application

  • This study suggests an effective online guide for foreign teachers who want to teach English in Korean schools. When designing this guide for overseas applicants, there should be a consistent analysis to reflect the process of the system. Thus, this paper provides an analysis and results for an integrated online guide to increase the efficiency based on the pedagogical framework for analysis of the 'ADDIE' model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The number of job applicants who wish to teach English in Korea is growing rapidly because Korea is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the 'Korean Wave' has especially been experiencing significant changes with the development of social network services and digital technologies. As a result, overseas applicants' expectations regarding Korea when they are seeking information and applying is very high, but the aspects of the procedure provided by the government are somewhat disappointing. The paper presents customer needs and specific recommendation for each step of the application process to improve the guide's effectiveness.

영자신문을 활용한 고등학생의 영어 독해능력 향상에 관한 사례 연구 (A case study on the development of high school students' English reading ability using English newspapers)

  • The present study proposes a set of activities of teaching English reading through English newspapers to narrow the gap between the English required in authentic situation and the one taught in schools. Newspapers can provide students with opportunities to review what they have studied in the classes. The purpose of this study is, therefore, to investigate how extra-curricular activities using English newspapers have an influence on the development of the three low-achieving high school students' English reading ability. The five-month study yielded that the activities using English newspapers exerted positive effects on the students' interest in English and their English scores. It suggests that using English newspapers as teaching materials may be a desirable way both to motivate students to study English harder and to develop their English reading ability.

  • SI 단위계를 국제단위계로 채택한 이래, 우리나라에서는 이를 충실히 쓰기 위해 행정적인 지도와 교육적 지도 등 많은 노력들을 하여왔다. 그러나 아직 일반 국민들이 SI 단위를 올바르게 사용하고 표기하는 데에 부족한 면이 많은 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 중학생들을 대상으로 설문조사함으로써, 단위계를 얼마나 정확히 사용하고 있는지 분석함으로써, 단위 교육의 필요성을 제기하고자 한다.

일반계와 실업계 고등학교 여학생의 직업관 비교 (Occupational Outlooks of Senior High School Female Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in individuals and family characteristics between general and vocational high school female students, and the impacts of the characteristics on the their occupational outlook. The number of 792 female students in 4 general and 5 vocational high schools in Chongju area were sampled during September 6-10, 1993. There are more differences in family characteristics rather than individual characteristics between two types of high school female students. Both family and individual characteristics influence the occupational outlooks of the respondents. Therefore, the types of school affect their occupational outlooks. Over 50% of vocational students want to have a junior college education.

아동의 지능, 보존개념의 발달과 영어학습과의 관계분석 (Children's Intelligence, Concept of Conservation, and the Relations With Learning English)

  • This study investigated the relations of children's age, intelligence, and the concept of conservation to their learning of English. Ten 4-year-old children from 1 child-care center and 13 7-year-old children from 1 elementary school were tested after completion of 8 sessions of experimental English classes. Children's intelligence was measured by K-WPPSI for 4-year olds and K-WISC for 7-year-olds. Children were tested for number and liquid conservations. A Korean teacher with 11 years of experience of teaching children at American elementary schools taught the 2 groups with the same subjects and methods. Data were analysed by independent samples t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, and Pearson's r. The results showed that children's age and the concept of conservation were related to English learning. No statistically significant relationship with IQ was found.

  • 국가적 차원에서 추진하는 영재교육의 목적은 개인의 자아실현과 더불어 국가와 사회에서 필요로 하는 고급 인재를 양성하는 데 있다. 특히, 정보화 시대를 이끌어 갈 정보영재의 발굴과 교육은 더욱 중요하다. 컴퓨터 교육 중 프로그래밍 교육은 컴퓨터 소양, 창의적 사고와 문제 해결력, 수학적 사고력, 추론 능력을 신장시키는 정보 교육의 중요한 분야임에도 불구하고 정보영재를 위한 체계적인 교육 내용이 확립되어 있지 않은 상태이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 초등정보영재를 위한 프로그레밍 언어교육의 필요성을 살펴보고 프로그래밍 교육을 위한 교육내용을 구성하였으며 논리력 향상 및 문제 해결력 중심의 비주얼 베이직 교육 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 특징은 첫째, 학습자에게 실제 프로그램을 작성할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 둘째, 학습한 이론을 실제 프로그램 작성에 응용할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째, 프로그램상의 오류 수정 활동과 제시된 예제의 다양한 해결 방법을 통해 문제 해결력과 논리적 사고력을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그래밍 학습 시스템을 제공한다.

읽기 유창성에 관한 문헌연구 (A Literature Review on Reading Fluency)

  • Reading fluency is an important variable in reading comprehension. However, a limited number of studies on reading fluency are available in Korea. The purpose of this study is to review the articles about reading fluency during last 10 years and to present a direction for future research. Forty research papers from the Journal of Learning Disabilities and Language Speech and Hearing Services in Schools were selected from 2002 to 2012. These papers were analyzed in terms of their subjects and research methods. About 64% of the articles focused on typically developing children and children with dyslexia. About 67% of the research consisted of descriptive studies. Based on these results, suggestions were made for future research on reading fluency.
