대학 조경교육에 대한 현장 실무자 인식 조사 (Practitioners' Perception of Landscape Education in Universities)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 조경도입 40년을 즈음하여 빠르게 변화하고 있는 사회의 요구에 조경교육이 적절히 대응할 수 있도록 대학 조경교육에 대한 현장 실무자의 인식을 조사하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 모두 257명의 실무자를 대상으로 조경교육에 대한 전반적인 인식, 교과목 유형별 중요도와 실무활용도, 조경업무 단계별 중요도와 실무활용도 등에 대한 설문조사가 진행되었다. 조사결과, 전반적인 대학 조경교육에 대한 실무자의 인식은 다소 부정적으로 나타났는데, 특히 대학 졸업 직후 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 현장중심의 교육을 보강할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다. 대학 교육에 대한 요구로도 현실적인 전문지식, 인접분야에 대한 이해 등의 현장에서 활용 가능한 내용이 주를 이루고 있었으며, 신입사원 교육을 통해서 실무스킬이나 컴퓨터, 법제도 관련 사항을 보완하고 있었다. 대학 교육 개선을 위해서는 전임교수는 물론이고, 학생과 실무자들의 공동의 노력이 중요한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 과목별로는 식재설계, 조경설계, 조경재료, 조경계획, 조경시공 및 관리 등의 과목이 중요한 과목으로 조사되었으나 부분적으로는 분야별 특성이 나타났다. 업무단계별로는 중요도 측면에서는 계획, 설계, 시공관련 과목이 고르게 중요한 단계로 인식되었으나, 실무활용도 측면에서는 계획과 설계과목으로 한정되어 현대학 교육이 계획과 설계 중심으로 진행되고 있는 경향을 보여주었다. 학문연구를 기본으로 하는 대학입장에서 실무자 의견을 그대로 교육과정에 반영할 될 수는 없겠으나, 현실을 반영한 교육에 대한 요구와 계획, 설계 중심의 교육에서 탈피하여 균형감 있는 교육이 될 수 있도록 하는 노력은 필요하리라 생각한다. 본 연구에서는 설문응답자가 수도권에 집중되었으며 실무자 의견 조사에 한정되어, 대학 조경교육에 대한 종합적인 개선방안 제시를 위해서는 교육자나 피교육자의 의견이 포함된 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

조경분야에서 컴퓨터 이용의 실태분석 (Survey Analysis on the Application of Computer Software in Landscape Architecture)

  • The purpose of this research is to provide for some useful data for computer-related courses of the landscape science, assuming that computers are being and should be used more and more in landscape architecture and therefore, that landscape science students need to respond positively to such a trend. For this purpose, landscape architecture studios and their landscape architects were surveyed for their computer and its program uses as well as their satisfaction with the utility of computer for their landscape works. The results of this research are as follows; 1) 10.7% of the landscape architects surveyed answered that they had learned about their necessary softwares at school, while 61.6% of the studios surveyed were less satisfied with their employees' poor computing ability. Such findings suggest a lack of computer-related courses in landscape science and therefore, that more computer-related courses should be introduced for landscape science students together with the necessary software education. 2) Too few landscape softwares are being used by the landscape architecture studios; such softwares as AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D Max, Excel, PowerPoint and 한글 account for more than 90% of the landscape architecture softwares being used currently. Quite naturally, landscape students need to be trained on these softwares above all. 3) It was found hat he area of work using the computer most was ˝design works˝(84.5%), followed by ˝documentation˝(83.8%), ˝image editing˝(75.1%), ˝cost calculation˝(68.2%), ˝presentation˝(68.1%), ˝analysis˝(37.8%) and ˝rendering˝(35%). It was regretable to discover that such areas requiring more computing work as ˝analysis˝ and ˝rendering˝ were still worked manually. So it sis deemed necessary for landscape science courses to enhance their computer education of such areas first of all.

연안습지의 자연현황 분석 및 그 활용에 관한 연구 - 태안 신두리지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on Analysis of a Conservation state and a Sustainable use of the Coastal Wetland - A case study of Sindu-ri area in Tae-an -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze a conservation state and a sustainable use of coastal wetland in Sindu-ri Tae-an, using the plant community structure analysis and the awareness result of local residents by published paper. To investigate a forest structure in Sindu-ri area, twenty plots were set up and surveyed. The community, is divided by three groups. The divided groups are Robinia pseudoacacia(I), Pinus thunbergii-Robinia pseudoacacia(II), Robinia pseudoacacia(III). Survey site I is simple canopy layer and deteriorative forest. Survey site II is grassland and swamp, where Pinus thunbergii-Robinia pseudoacacia is dominant trees of vegetation. Robinia pseudoacacia is competition species with Pinus thunbergii in survey site II. Survey site III is barren land(sand-hill) where main species is Robinia pseudoacacia. As a result, survey II district is considered as the most suitable for the conservation of species diversity. It is proposed in this paper that the ecological nature trail would be connected in survey site I and II for environmental education. The local residents of Tae-an, where natural environment is well-conserved, prefer conservation to development of the region. In case of Tae-an, where the condition of the natural environment is well conserved and the development potential exists, the development is in harmony with the environmental education program.

국립공원내 야영장의 이용 만족도 분석 -설악산 국립공원 설악동 지구를 중심으로- (Analysis of visitor's satisfaction on camp site in national park -Focused on Sorakdong district in Mount Sorak National Park­)

  • The survey of user's satisfactory degree of location, plantings, facilities, operation, and management factors on national parks' camp sites was carried out. Many problems were analyzed and identified. This survey was for proposing the correct way to plan and draft for camping site after this. In addition to, the realization of environmental education through nature friendly recreation was aimed at. According to the result of the survey, the followings were suggested as necessities to improve the camp site. 1. Repair and replacement of insufficiently managed facilities should be aimed at. 2. Facilities for a handicapped person should be preferentially introduced. 3. Active management and publicity in low-demand season that practiced by developed countries should be carried out. Seasonal program for various age groups should be operated. 4. Surrounding tourist site, camp site, and trail should be organically connected by shuttle bus and other transports. A survey was carried out for the user satisfaction in the campsites of national parks. Based on this survey concerned with the location, planting, facilities, operation and management, the problems were identified and analysed to improve future design and plan of the campsites. This study aims for the realization of environmental education through nature friendly recreation. The following points are suggested as needed according to the survey result. 1. damaged facilities should be repaired or replaced. 2. introduction of the facilities for disabled should be prioritized. 3. consistent and active management and publicity work should be operated in the off-peak season. and the seasonal activity programs for the various age groups should be provided. 4. the site should be well connected with other surrounding campsites and tourist sites using the shuttle bus and other transport method.

조경가 정영선의 조경설계론 연구 (A Study of Landscape Architect YoungSun Jung's Theory of Landscape Architecture)

  • 본 연구는 한국 조경을 살펴보기 위해 조경가 정영선에 집중하였다. 이를 위해 2014년까지의 작가의 사고, 정영선과 서안 작품, 관련 담론(조경가, 조경작품, 조경담론) 등을 대상으로, 조경설계안, 조경작품, 조경가의 사고 및 그것의 조경이론화 과정, 조경작품과 조경가의 설계사고 사이의 관계 등을 살펴보고 인터뷰(정영선 및 관련 인사), 문헌조사, 설계작품 분석 등의 방법으로 접근하였다. 자료를 종합한 결과 정영선 조경을 구분하여 볼 때, 조경을 처음 접하고 이를 수련하며 실무에 뛰어든 시기부터 독립 사무실을 운영하며 설계의 경향과 설계사고의 깊이를 달리하며 보이는 네 가지의 변곡 지점이 나타난다. 이 과정에서 초기 조경에 대한 학습기를 제외하면 정영선 조경의 범주는 현대 조경, 정원, 전통 조경의 세 가지로 나타났다. 이 세 가지 범주의 조경 활동을 통해 현대 조경의 수입과 내재화(현대조경론), 독자적 정원론의 성립과 그 실천(정원론), 전통 컴플렉스의 극복과 창의적 계승(전통조경론) 등의 세 가지 성취를 보여준다. 종합적으로 볼 때 정영선 조경은 지역주의적 사고와 작가주의적 사고의 실천이라 요약할 수 있다.

대전시 공원녹지에 대한 주민의식 조사 (A Study on the Residents' Consciousness for Park and Green Space in the City of Daejeon)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine residents' consciousness for urban parks and green spaces in the city of Daejeon. This work enables us to find new implementation factors to increase resident's satisfaction of urban parks and green spaces. This study surveyed 1005 residents from 80dongs(neighborhoods), of 5 Gu(districts) districts in Daejeon. The survey was conducted with a structurally organized questionnaire and objective materials. The data collected from participants of the survey were summarized as follows. Daejeon residents want more natural parks and neighborhood parks than other urban facilities as recreation facilities. The favorite places in which Daejeon residents visit are Bomun Mountain, Gap River, Geajock Mountain, and Yudeon River, in order. In landscape scenery of Daejeon, residents prefer Daedeck research complex area than others and they felt that urban landscape scenery is more improved than 5 years ago. Also they want to increase the area of park and green space about 4times more than present. The result shows that the importance index of park and green space is 8.7 and the satisfaction index is 5.42. These results suggests that the demand by residents for urban park and green spaces will improve as the urban structure is improved.

전통 정원 조성 시 도입 가능한 설계 요소의 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cognition of Design Elements for Making Korean Traditional Garden)

  • This Study has intended to extract traditional elements for making Korean traditional garden through survey on theexperts and practitioners of landscape architecture. The survey form includes questions about representative type of traditional garden, representative elements of traditional garden, and necessary elements for making traditional garden, etc. The results are as follows; 1) the representative type of Korean traditional gardens are palace and villa gardens. 2) the available traditional facilities should be applicable with contemporary culture only maintaining the original form. 3) the major traditional facilities are water-scape such as ponds and mountain streams with traditional pavilions. 4) plants should be selected in spontaneous plants in Korea but it is possible to introduce species recorded in old documents. It is difficult to suggest the method of layout and design strategies in this study, but continuous studies in this line will be helpful to designing Korean traditional garden suitable in contemporary landscape.

A Basic Study on the Sustainable Design Elements in China's Houtan Park

  • With industrialization, environmental problems have become severe worldwide as resources are exhausted for mass production purposes and pollutants are produced in excess of nature's capacity to absorb them. Since modernity, urban parks have emerged as an important element for addressing challenges facing urban environments, which include environmental degradation. In 1987, the Brundtland Commission's report presented a sustainable developmental perspective in solving environmental problems and provided ideas for sustainable design and sustainable urban park landscape design. The purpose of this study is to analyze sustainable design applied to Houtan Park in central Shanghai, China from the perspective of social culture preservation, ecological restoration, and economic effect, and to provide the basic data for urban park design in similar areas in the future. This study consists of a literature survey and a field investigation. The field investigation lead to analysis from three perspectives: social culture preservation, ecological restoration, and economic effect. The literature survey examined sustainable urban parks and Houtan Park based on relevant papers, newspaper articles, and reports. Through actual visits (Aug. 28 - Sep. 1, 2018), it also examined the elements of sustainable design that were applied to the architecture. The three sustainable design elements derived from this study, being a sustainable design for the future, will be used as an important basis for developing urban parks for the regeneration of brownfields in many areas in China.

효과적인 식생복원을 위한 참나무류 군락 식재의 생장량에 관한 연구 (Growth Degree of Quercus Community Plantations for Effective Vegetation Restoration)

  • The present study evaluated growth factors affecting oak community plantations through literature review and a field survey. Specifically, 41 related literature sources were analyzed and field surveys were conducted to collect growth data. Previous studies were analyzed to identify variables with high frequency of use. The frequency of use was in the order of tree size > environment > planting density > forest age. Analysis of factors impacting height and diameter growth revealed that the growth rate of species other than Quercus variabilis was negative in the field survey. This may be because of differences between the actual trees planted and specifications in the construction drawings, which may be attributed to the site conditions and decisions made by the project subject during construction. Furthermore, simple linear regression analysis was conducted with time, height at planting, density, and species code as the independent variables and growth rate as the dependent variable. A strong positive linear correlation was noted between height and diameter. This work builds a foundation for developing a forest restoration model and simulation program based on a regression model derived from the four variables tested.

경복궁 경회루 권역의 식생경관원형과 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Planting Improvement and Original Landscape of Gyeonghoeru Area in Gyongbokkung Palace)

  • 본 연구는 경회루 권역의 경관개선을 위해 원형을 고찰하고, 수목 생장예측모델을 추정하여 개선방안을 제시하기 위해 실시하였다. 식재경관의 개선방안에 대한 검증을 위해 만세산에 식재된 수목에 대한 사진측량을 진행하였다. 만세산 송림의 생장율을 알아보기 위해 Pressler 공식을 이용하고, 시뮬레이션을 제작하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현장조사 및 경관분석 결과, 경회루 권역의 수목들은 수양벚나무와 감나무를 제외하고 흉고직경 30cm 이상의 대교목으로 특히 경관을 차폐하는 만세산의 송림과 북쪽 화계의 수목들에 대한 전정을 통해 관리하거나, 작은 수목으로 대체할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 수목생장율 측정 결과, 평균 10년을 기준으로 남측 만세산은 근원직경 14%, 수고 5%가 북측 만세산은 근원직경 7%, 수고 2.4% 만큼 생장하였다. 나아가 산출된 수목생장률을 바탕으로 시뮬레이션을 작성했을 때 20년 후에는 경회루 2층에서 경관 또한 만세산의 송림이 인왕산의 스카이라인을 차단함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 경관개선 시뮬레이션을 분석하여 경회루 권역의 경관을 조망하기 위한 수목관리방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 경회루 권역의 식재경관을 고증하고 효율적인 정비방안을 도출한 것에 의의가 있다.
