철근부식에 의한 육지 콘크리트의 잔존수명 예측 (The Prediction of Remaining Service Life of Land Concrete Due to Steel Corrosion)

  • This paper presents the prediction of remaining service life of the concrete due to steel corrosion caused by the following three cases; carbonation, using sea sand and using deicing salts. The assessment of initiation period was generalized considering the existing perdiction models in the literature, corrosion experiment and field assessment. To evaluate the prediction equation of rust growth, the corrosion accelerating experiments was performed. The polarization resistance was measured by potentiostat and the conversion coefficient of polarzation resistance to corrosion rate was determined by the measurement of real mass loss. Chloride content, carbonation, cover depth, relative humidity, water-cement ratio(W/C), and the use of deicing salts were taken into account and the resulting prediction equation of rust growth was proposed on the basis of these properties. The proposed equation is to predict the rust growth during any specified period of time and be effective in particular for predicting service life of concrete in the case of using sea sand.

  • This paper demonstrates that it is feasible to evaluate forest degradation and to detect deforestation in the 8156$km^2$ study area affected by expand farming using vegetation indices derived from Landsat TM data. The NDVI-growing stock relation was applied on th Landsat TM data and a 3 second grid DEM, whose coverages could improve the assessment of forest degradation and also estimate the rate of change of forest cover area depending on elevation intervals. The strength of the relationship between the ratio of the greenness and brightness indices and forest degradation conditions would have been more interesting in the deforested areas which were converted to crop farming land.

도시열섬완화를 위한 토지 이용 유형별 합리적 녹지율 분석 (An Analysis of Rational Green Area Ratio by Land Use Types for Mitigating Heat-Island Effects)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 토지이용유형별로 도시열섬현상을 완화하기 위한 합리적 녹지율을 분석하고자 하였다. 토지이용유형은 단독주택과 공동주택, 공공시설, 상업지역, 공업지역의 5가지 유형을 고려하였고, 녹지지역은 토지피복도에서 수목 속성을 추출하여 활용하였다. 열섬효과는 주간 및 야간에 촬영된 다중시기의 ASTER TIR 영상의 표면온도를 이용하였다. 주간시간은 야간시간보다 녹지의 표면온도 저감 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 토지이용유형별로는 주간시간에 단독주택에서 녹지율에 따른 표면온도 저감효과가 가장 뚜렷했지만, 야간시간에는 토지이용유형별로 차이가 크지 않았다. 공업지역은 녹지의 표면온도 저감 효과가 낮았다. 토지이용유형별 도시열섬완화를 위한 합리적 녹지율을 산출한 결과, 주간시간은 단독주택과 공동주택, 상업지역에서 녹지율이 40~50% 사이일 때, 표면온도가 가장 낮았고, 야간시간은 녹지율별로 표면온도 변화가 크지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 도시개발계획 단계에서 도시열섬완화를 위해 효과적인 녹지면적을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

경지정리사업의 확장편익-비용분석 - 충남서산시 지곡지구를 중심으로 - (An Extended Benefit-Cost Analysis of Land Consolidation and On-farm Development Project -With Respect to Jigok Land Consolidation and On-farm Development Project in Seosan, Chungnam Province, Korea-)

  • The economic feasibility analysis including benefit-cost ratio and internal rate of return of a land consolidation and on-farm development project was mainly depended upon the direct benefits and costs arising during project life. Therefore the projects were neglected in allocating the government's financial funds and loans on account of the low economic rate of return of the project. Accordingly the extended benefit-cost analysis method should be introduced and adapted to cover not only the benefit s such as non-market values of environmental and food security fun ct ions of the project but also market values of the project outputs. The main purposes of this study are (1) to prepare a guide line for economic feasibility analysis based on the IBRD and ADB guidelines, (2) to estimate the benefits from productivity increase, labor saving, savings of O&M cost of farm mechanization and project facilities, savings of farmer's burden for their public health, increasing environmental and public functional value of paddy fields, improving food security condition and formation of peaceful and uncontroversial rural society by implementing the land consolidation and on-farm development, (3) to introduce the newly adapted analytical method as the extended benefit cost analysis which could make possible to be included the values of non-market goods such as the food security and the environmental public function of paddy fields. To carry out this study, the existing publications on the guidelines for economic agricultural projects were reviewed and consultation was made with a For the post evaluation study of the land consolidation and on-farm development project, field survey in Jigok and other comparative area were made to get available information. According to the project completion report, Jigok land consolidation and on-farm development project has 55ha of benefit area out of 69ha of gross area. The project was started in November 11th, 2000 and completed october 30th, 2001. The total project costs were amounted to 2,548 million won and the annual project benefits were estimated at 335million won evaluated by domestic market prices. The ERR(Economic Rate of Return) and SRR(Social Rate of Return) of the project based on the shadow pricing system were estimated at 4.4% and 16% respectively. On the other hand, the ERR and SRR based on the domestic market value system were amounted to 6.37% and 14.62%. In conclusion, Korean land consolidation and on-farm development projects have not carried out from the view point of economic rate of return under shadow pricing system but from the view point of domestic pricing system. For the future feasibility studies on land consolidation projects have to be carried out including the non-market values as environmental and food security function of the projects.

식생냉각효과 적용을 통한 BioCAS의 폭염기간 일 최고기온 추정 개선 - 서울 및 수도권지역을 중심으로 - (Improvement of Vegetation Cooling Effects in BioCAS for Better Estimation of Daily Maximum Temperature during Heat Waves - In Case of the Seoul Metropolitan Area -)

  • On the urban scale, Micro-climate analysis models for urban scale have been developed to investigate the atmospheric characteristics in urban surface in detail and to predict the micro-climate change due to the changes in urban structure. BioCAS (Biometeorological Climate Impact Assessment System) is a system that combines such analysis models and has been implemented internally in the Korea Meteorological Administration. One of role in this system is the analysis of the health impact by heat waves in urban area. In this study, the vegetation cooling models A and B were developed and linked with BioCAS and evaluated by the temperature drop at the vegetation areas during ten selected heat-wave days. Smaller prediction errors were found as a result of applying the vegetation cooling models to the heat-wave days. In addition, it was found that the effects of the vegetation cooling models produced different results according to the distribution of vegetation area in land cover near each observation site - the improvement of the model performance on temperature analysis was different according to land use at each location. The model A was better fitted where the surrounding vegetation ratio was 50% or more, whereas the model B was better where the vegetation ratio was less than 50% (higher building and impervious areas). Through this study, it should be possible to select an appropriate vegetation cooling model according to its fraction coverage so that the temperature analysis around built-up areas would be improved.

위성영상을 이용한 서부임진강하구권역 내 DMZ 산불지역 회복성 분석 (Recoverability analysis of Forest Fire Area Based on Satellite Imagery: Applications to DMZ in the Western Imjin Estuary)

  • Burn severity analysis using satellite imagery has high capabilities for research and management in inaccessible areas. We extracted the forest fire area of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in the western Imjin Estuary which is restricted to access due to the confrontation between South and North Korea. Then we analyzed the forest fire severity and recoverability using atmospheric corrected Surface Reflectance Level-2 data collected from Landsat-8 OLI (Operational Land Imagery) / TIRS (Thermal Infrared Sensor). Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR), differenced NBR (dNBR), and Relative dNBR (RdNBR) were analyzed based on changes in the spectral pattern of satellite images to estimate burn severity area and intensity. Also, we evaluated the recoverability after a forest fire using a land cover map which is constructed from the NBR, dNBR, and RdNBR analyzed results. The results of dNBR and RdNBR analysis for the six years (during May 30, 2014 - May 30, 2020) showed that the intensity of monthly burn severity was affected by seasonal changes after the outbreak and the intensity of annual burn severity gradually decreased after the fire events. The regrowth of vegetation was detected in most of the affected areas for three years (until May 2020) after the forest fire reoccurred in May 2017. The monthly recoverability (from April 2014 to December 2015) of forests and grass fields was increased and decreased per month depending on the vegetation growth rate of each season. In the case of annual recoverability, the growth of forest and grass field was reset caused by the recurrence of a forest fire in 2017, then gradually recovered with grass fields from 2017 to 2020. We confirmed that remote sensing was effectively applied to research of the burn severity and recoverability in the DMZ. This study would also provide implications for the management and construction statistics database of the forest fire in the DMZ.

Impact of Climate Change on Variation of the Aridity and Evaporative Indexes in South Korea

  • The aridity index, which is determined as the ratio of potential evapotranspiration to precipitation, is one of key parameters in drought characterization. Whereas the evaporative index, which is defined as the ratio of actual evapotranspiration to precipitation, represents the fraction of available water consumed by the evapotranspiration process. This study investigates variation of the aridity and evaporative indexes due to climate change during the 21st century in South Korea. Estimations of the aridity and evaporative indexes are obtained using SWAT mode based on ensemble of 13 different GCMs over 5 large basins of South Korea for 2 RCP scenarios (RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5). The results shows the opposite trends of the two indexes, where the aridity index is projected as always increase, while the evaporative index is expected to decrease in all of 3 future period (2011-1940, 1941-1970, 1971-2099). The estimated results also suggest that land cover influenced significantly evapotranspiration along with the change of climate. The study indicates that South Korea will be facing with a high risk of water scarcity in future due to climate change, which is seriously challenging for water planing and management in the country.

  • 토지이용실태에 관한 자료는 국토계획이나 지역계획을 수립하는데 있어서 필수적인 기초자료의 하나이다. 그러나 현재로서는 토지이용실태를 그대로 반영하고 있는 정확한 자룔르 구득하는 일이 그렇게 쉬운 일만은 아니다. 이러한 물리적 토지이용실태에 관한 자료들은 지리정보시스템기법과 원격탐사자료의 영상처리기법등을 적절히 잘 활용함으로써, 적은 비용으로도 신속하게 관련 정보를 추출할 수 있다. 이러한 동기에서 이 연구는 인공위서에서 감지한 수도권의 원격탐사자료(1979년 MSS자료와 1991년 TM자료)를 이용하여 첫째 착도권의 토지이용실태를 분석하고 둘째 지난 12년간 착도권내 도시지형의 확산모습과 토지용이변화과정을 그림과 통계로 정리함으로써 수도권 정책을 평가하는데 필요한 기초자료를 생산하며, 셋째 향후 국토계획이나 지역계획 수립시 인공위성 원격탐사자료를 적극 활용할 수 있는 연구토양과 분위기를 조성하는데 연구의 목적을두고 있다.

항공 LiDAR 및 RGB 정사 영상을 이용한 딥러닝 기반의 도시녹지 분류 (Classification of Urban Green Space Using Airborne LiDAR and RGB Ortho Imagery Based on Deep Learning)

  • 도시녹지는 도시 생태계 건강성 증진을 위한 중요한 요소이며, 건강한 도시 생태계 유지 및 관리를 위해서는 도시녹지의 공간적인 현황 파악이 필요하다. 환경부에서는 2010년 이후부터 총 41개의 분류 항목을 갖는 1m 급 해상도의 세분류 토지피복지도를 제공해오고 있으나, 가로수와 같은 도시 내 고해상도 상세 녹지 정보는 기타 초지로 분류되거나 누락되어 오고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 수원시 지역을 대상으로 1m 이하 급의 고해상도 원격탐사 자료(항공 LiDAR 및 RGB 정사영상)를 이용하여, 기존 세분류 토지피복지도에서는 나타나지 않는 고해상도의 상세 도시 녹지(수목, 관목 및 초지) 정보를 분류하고자 하였다. 분류 기법으로는 딥러닝 기반의 이미지 분할방법인 U-Net 구조의 모델을 활용하였으며, 분류 항목의 수 및 사용하는 자료의 종류에 따라 총 3가지의 모델(LRGB10, LRGB5, 및 RGB5)을 제안하고 성능을 평가하였다. 검증 지역에 대한 세 모델의 평균 전체 정확도는 각 83.40%(LRGB10), 89.44%(LRGB5), 74.76%(RGB5)이며, 항공 LiDAR와 RGB 정사영상을 함께 사용하여 총 5개의 항목(수목, 관목, 초지, 건물, 및 그 외)을 분류하는 LRGB5 모델의 성능이 가장 높게 나타났다. 수원시의 수목, 관목 및 초지 기준의 전체 녹지 현황은 각 45.61%(LRGB10), 43.47%(LRGB5), 및 44.22%(RGB5)로 나타났으며, 세 모델 모두 기존 세분류 토지피복지도와 비교하여 평균 13.40%의 도시 수목 정보를 더 제공할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 이러한 도시녹지 분류 결과는 향후 중분류 토지피복지도와 같은 기존 GIS 정보와의 융합을 통해 가로수 녹지 비율 현황 등 추가적인 상세 녹지 현황 정보를 제공할 수 있어, 다양한 도시녹지 연구 및 정책의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

친환경적 공간계획을 위한 도시의 열환경 분석 (Analysis of Urban Thermal Environment for Environment-Friendly Spatial Plan)

  • 본 연구는 경상남도 창원시를 대상으로 다양한 도시의 공간적 특성이 지표온도에 미치는 영향성을 분석하고, 도시지역의 유형에 따른 열환경 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 Landsat 5 TM 영상에서 지표온도, NDBI(Normalized Difference Built-up Index), NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) 등을 추출하였으며, 고해상도($10cm{\times}10cm$) 칼라항공사진을 토대로 토지이용 및 토지피복 형태를 분류하였다. 공간통계분석의 기본단위는 $500m{\times}500m$의 Vector Grid로 구축하여 각각의 공간특성 인자별 주제도를 작성하였다. 열환경과 공간특성의 관계성을 평가한 결과, 지표온도와 NDBI의 상관계수가 0.929로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 불투수지역의 비율과도 0.857의 높은 상관성을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 다음으로 도시지역의 유형을 주거중심, 공업중심, 녹지중심, 혼합의 4개 지역으로 군집 분류하여 유형별 지표온도를 분석한 결과, 공업중심지역의 지표온도가 $21.10^{\circ}C$로 가장 높았고, 녹지중심지역이 $18.85^{\circ}C$로 가장 낮게 평가되었다. 이상의 연구결과는 도시 지역의 공간적 특성이 열환경에 미치는 영향성을 규명하였으며, 향후 열환경 개선을 위한 토지이용계획과 개발밀도 규제 등에 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
