The purpose of this study is to research into a method of selecting the subject parcel with a change in the category of land given surveying the land alteration state focusing on the present state of road in the government-owned and public land by using the fuzzy membership function and GIS spatial analysis. It selected the old town center of Incheon Jung-gu, and the new downtown & the forest land of Gyeyang-gu as the research subject region, and carried out GIS spatial analysis on a serial cadastral map, urban planning road layer of Korea Land Information System, practical width of road layer of Road Name Address Management System & cadastral data base, and then calculated the suitable index for the subject parcel with a change in the category of land by using the fuzzy membership function with having the critical value as the area ratio of each parcel on a serial cadastral map that was incorporated into road layer or practical width of road layer. It finally selected the parcel, which is different in land category from the real land usage, as the final subject parcel for altering land category, by using the screen of visualizing the suitable index and the aerial ortho photograph. As a result of the final selection, the fuzzy GIS spatial analysis method, which was suggested in this study, is judged to be efficient in the selection period and the methodology compared to the existing manual method. It could be confirmed to be more suitable method for downtown than forest land and for the new downtown than the old town center.

Purpose of this study is to classify damaged lands according to the cause of the damage and their influences based on characteristic of the damaged lands in DeMilitarized Zone(DMZ) area, and utilize this study as a fundamental study for establishment of ecosystem restoration system. Literature review and field survey have been conducted to review the damage status of DMZ area. For field survey, first year and second year have been conducted, in which type of the damage has been reviewed in this study. In the result, types of damage have been classified into 6 categories: 'alteration of initial landform', 'loss of surface layer', 'land pollution', 'alteration of soil chemical property', 'decline of vegetation', and 'invasion of foreign species'. Restoration for each damage type is as following. First, for alteration of initial landform, the land is restored to the original landform prior to the damage and connection to surrounding ecosystem is considered. Second, for loss of surface layer, lost surface layer is restored or further loss is prevented with stabilization. Third, for land pollution, source of the pollution is eradicated or self-circulation with purification of polluted land is encouraged. Fourth, for alteration of soil chemical property, soil is restored of its original property with eradication of the pollution source and improvement of soil. Fifth, for decline of vegetation, current vegetation and anticipated alteration in future are considered and number of wild species is to be increased based on structure and characteristic of nearby vegetation. Sixth, for invasion of foreign species, prevention of dominance by risky species and facilitation ecological stability with ecological management are to be considered. Influence according to the cause of damage has occurred in secondary(indirect) influence or simultaneous occurrence of several damage types. Considering all these aspects, when type of the damage is complex, restoration process for each of former mentioned 6 damage types with solitary influence should be considered in unison.

Korea's inspection of cadastral surveying value is carrying out based on cadastral law, and has to enter in cadaster after government office's final inspection of cadastral surveying of land alteration according to the request of land owner or the state. Therefore, government office has to inspect the value of surveying before arranging cadastral book, and has to confirm whether the surveying error is whithin the range of allowing one. If it is, a govenment office has to arrange the cadastral book according to resulting Value. This study investigates and analizes annual land alteration of Sungnam city and analizes the situation of government office's cadastral surving value, the number of inspectors, and equipments. As a result, this study shows the problem and provides effective basic materials, increases the efficacy of the state's cadastral surveying inspection, and minimiges land dispute.
We investigated the change in land-use alteration in a 45 km × 45 km area around the Upo wetlands in 1920s(before the Japanese occupation period), 1950s(immediately Korean independence) and the period 1970s to 2000s. These data can guide in understanding surface environmental changes in the lower Nakdong River from the early 20th century to the present. The influence of the long-term decreasing trend of the wetland area at the Upo Swamp was evaluated using a high-resolution local circulation model. The cooling effect of the wetlands on surface air during the daytime in summer(e.g, early August) was approximately 2℃ greater in the 1920s than in the 2000s, which is attributed to wider water areas in the 1920s. Additionally, long-term changes in land use have caused changes in the convergence zone of local circulation wind.
This paper presents a geological remote sensing information extraction system, the aim of which is to provide practical models and powerful tools to extract geological information from remote sensing images for geological exploration applications. After reviewing and analyzing the existing methods for geological information extraction, we developed more than ten models to enhance and extract geological information, such as alteration information, linear features and special lithological characters. The system is developed based on Erdas Imagine using its programming language. It has been successfully used in the 'reat Investigation of Land and Natural Resources of China' program.

Cadastre is a set of activity registering diverse land information in national scope land management works. A nation examine land information and register it in a cadastral book, and must update data when necessary to properly maintain the information. Currently, local governments execute work about parcels of land alternation by manual work based on KLIS road map. Therefore, it takes too much time-consuming and makes problem as missing lots of parcels of land alternation. This study suggests the method selecting the parcels of land alteration for Jinan-Gun of Jeollabuk-Do using the GIS spatial overlay and the following results are as belows. Firstly, the manual work on the parcels of land alteration was greatly improved through automatically extracting the number and area of parcels according to the land classification and ownership by GIS spatial overlay based on serial cadastral maps and KLIS road lines. Secondly, existing work based on KLIS road lines could be advanced by analyzing the parcels of land alternation using the actual-width of the road from new address system to consider all road area for study site. Lastly, this study can supply efficient information in determining the parcels of land alternation consistant with road condition of local governments by analyzing the number and area of parcels according to the land classification and ownership within various roadsides ranging from 3m, 5m, and 10m by GIS buffering method.

Road traffic noise is closely related with urban forms and urban components, such as population, building, traffic and land-use, etc. Hence, it is possible to minimize the noise exposure problem depending on how to plan new town or urban planning alteration. This paper provides ways to apply for urban planning in consideration of noise exposure through road traffic noise estimation for alteration of small-scale urban form. Spatial autoregressive model from the former study is used as statistical model for noise simulation. The simulation results by the spatial statistical model are compared with those by the engineering program-based modeling for 5 scenarios of small-scale urban form alteration. The error from the limitation of containing informations inside the grid cell and the difficulties of reflecting acoustic phenomena exists. Nevertheless, in the stage of preliminary design, the use of the statistical models that have been estimated well could be useful in time and economically.

Road traffic noise is closely related with urban forms and urban components, such as population, building, traffic and land-use, etc. Hence, it is possible to minimize the noise exposure problem depending on how to plan new town or urban planning alteration. This paper provides ways to apply for urban planning in consideration of noise through exposed noise estimation for urban planning alteration. Spatial autoregressive model which explains about 81.4% of road traffic noise from the former paper is used. The simulation results by the spatial statistical model are compared with those by the engineering program-based modeling for 5 small-scaled scenarios of urban planning alteration. The error from the limitation of containing informations inside the grid cell and the difficulties of reflecting acoustic phenomena is existed. In this study, the influence of a change in land use on the local weather fields is investigated around the Lake Shihwa area using synthetic land cover data and a high-resolution mesoscale model - the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF). The default land cover data generally used in the WRF is based on the land use category of the United States Geological Survey (USGS), which erroneously presents most land areas of the Korean Peninsula as savannas. To revise such a fault, a multi-temporal land cover data, provided by the Ministry of Environment of Korea, was employed to generate a land cover map of 2005 subject to the land use in Korea at that time. A new land cover map of 1989, before the construction of the Lake Shihwa, was made based on the 2005 map and the Landsat 4-5 TM satellite images of two years. Over the areas where the land use had been changed (e.g., from sea to wetlands, towns, etc.) due to the Lake Shihwa development project, the skin temperature decreased by up to $8^{\circ}C$ in the winter case while increased by as much as $14^{\circ}C$ in the summer case. Changes in the water vapor mixing ratio were mostly affected by advection and topography in both seasons, with considerable increase in the summer case due to continuous sea breeze. Local decrease in water vapor occurred over high land use change areas and/or over downstream of such areas where alteration in wind fields were induced by changes in skin temperature and surface roughness at the areas of land use changes. The albedo increased by about 0.1% in the regions where sea was converted into wetland. In the regions where urban areas were developed, such as Songdo New Town and Incheon International Airport, the albedo increased by up to 0.16%.
