Design for Automation System for Pharmaceutical Prescription Using Arduino and Optical Character Recognition

  • Recent healthcare environments have characteristics of expanding the scope of healthcare-impacting healthcare, complexity resulting from diversification of components, and accelerating the pace of change. Drugs are used for the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of diseases, so they can inevitably cause harm, while they have efficacy and effectiveness, which are key elements of health recovery. Therefore, many countries regulate permits for safe and effective medicines, and also designate essential drugs directly related to life as pay targets and guarantee health insurance. Especially Pharmacist relying on manpower for composition medicine is liable for mal-manufacture due to combination of toxic medical substances or other chemical usage. In this paper, we focus on using Kiosk and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for automated pharmacy to level up medical service and create labor friendly environment for pharmacist themselves through maintenance of prescription data and automated manufacturing solution. Presentation of drug substances and precautions will lead to efficient drug prescription and prevent misuse of information while auto manufacturing system efficiently maintain labor force and raise patient satisfaction level by reduction of waiting time.

Improving safety performance of construction workers through cognitive function training

  • Due to the aging workforce in the construction industry in South Korea, the accident rate has been increasing. The cognitive abilities of older workers are closely related to both safety incidents and labor productivity. Therefore, there is a need to improve cognitive abilities through personalized training based on cognitive assessment results, using cognitive training content, in order to enable safe performance in labor-intensive environments. The provided cognitive training content includes concentration, memory, oreintation, attention, and executive functions. Difficulty levels were applied to each content to enhance user engagement and interest. To stimulate interest and encourage active participation of the participants, the difficulty level was automatically adjusted based on feedback from the MMSE-DS results and content measurement data. Based on the accumulated data, individual training scenarios have been set differently to intensively improve insufficient cognitive skills, and cognitive training programs will be developed to reduce safety accidents at construction sites through measured data and research. Through such simple cognitive training, it is expected that the reduction of accidents in the aging construction workforce can lead to a decrease in the social costs associated with prolonged construction periods caused by accidents.

특정사인제거정도가 부분노동력여명에 미치는 연장효과에 관한 연구 (The Study on Potential Gains in Working Life Expectancy according to the Degree of Reduction of Specific Causes of Death)

  • This study was carried out to calculate working life expectancy and its potential gains according to the degree of reduction in the specific causes of death. It sought to ascertain what potential gains in labor force longevity might be reasonably achieved through efforts to reduce mortality from injuries and poisoning, diseases of circulatory system, neoplasms and the other causes of death. The data were drawn from the three sources such as "The 1982 Causes of Death Statistics," "Abridged Life Table for Korea 1978~'79" and "The 1982 annual Report of Economically Active Population" issued by Economic Planning Board. Analytical tools used in this study were the cause-deleted life table and the Wolfbein Wool's working life table method. Partial life expectancy was adopted as an index of this study, This application will be widely used as a good demographic tool for analyzing the dynamics of labor force and causes of death. Some of the findings are summerized as follows. 1. Partial life expectancies from initial age 15, 25, and 45 respectively to terminal age 65 are 44.86, 35.59 and 17.41 year in life expectancy itself, 37.08, 32.83 and 15.21 year in working life expectancy, 7.78, 2.76 and 2.20 years in inactive life years. 2. Potential gains in working expectancy from initial age 15, 25 and 45 to terminal age 65 by the complete elimination of the specific causes of death are 1.36, 0.94 and 0.27 years in injuries and poisoning, 0.88, 0.83 and 0.54 years in diseases of circulatory system, 0.56, 0.54 and 0.37 years in neoplasms, 1.13, 1.02 and 0.58 years in the other causes of death. The relationship between degree of reduction in causes of death and potential gains in working life years is in direct proportion. The prime orders of reduction effectiveness in age groups by the causes of death are injuries and poisoning in age 15-24, the other causes of death in age 25-49 and diseases of circulatory system in age 50 and over. 3. If it were possible to reduce 25%, 50% and 75% in mortality condition 1978~'79, the average length of working life would be 38.08, 39.13 and 40.17 years in age 15, and 33.68, 34.57 and 35.44 years in age 25, and 15.67, 16.14 and 16.63 years in age 45.

국내 금형산업 현황 및 지원정책 방향 (The status of Korean mold industry and government's promotion policy)

  • The domestic mold industry is composed of 6,560 small and medium sized mold companies as of 2015. The structure of mold industry centered on less than 10 people in the past has been improved in the direction of increasing number of medium and large scale companies with more than 20 competitors with global competitiveness and has maintained its position as the world's second largest mold exporter with global competitiveness. Nevertheless, the manpower structure and corporate competitiveness structure of the mold industry is very high, with the proportion of production manpower reaching 70% and shortage rate of 10% or more in order to respond to the orders of customers. However, the development base for new employees with technological skills required by the industrial field is poor, and the inflow of young people is very limited due to factors such as the avoidance of small and medium enterprises and production jobs. It is expected that the labor shortage of mold enterprises will be further increased in the future. In the mold industry, due to the characteristics of small quantity multi-product production corresponding to the demand of the consumer, many production processes are individually and independently carried out, resulting in low labor productivity, and the structural time required for the worker to increase the working time Due to limitations, the working hours per week of the employees are about 50 hours. The implementation of the working time reduction bill, which is recently promoted by the government, is a crisis factor. In order to cultivate the mold industry, it is necessary to expand the base of molds to meet the intensification of global competition, the convergence of technologies to actively respond to the restructuring of the industrial structure, and the response to the new industry, It is necessary to improve labor productivity through policies such as development and dissemination of system, and to secure price, delivery and quality competitiveness in global market.

한국 생명보험산업의 정보화투자와 비용절감 (The Impact of Information Technology Investment on Cost Reduction in Korean Insurance Industry)

  • 한국 생명보험산업에 있어서 정보화투자 효과분석은 향후 정보화투자의 방향설정과 관련하여 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 생명보험산업의 다생산물결합 비용함수를 테일러 전개한 제2차 초월대수비용함수를 사용하여 SURE방법으로 정보화자본스톡의 비용탄력성을 추정하였다. 분석자료는 총 33개 생보사를 대상으로 1991-2003년간의 패널자료를 사용하였다. 분석결과는 정보화투자 효과가 개별생보사 마다 차이는 있으나 분석대상 생보사들의 절반정도는 정보화투자로 비용이 절감되는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 대형생보사는 정보자본스톡이 증가하면, 대형생보사의 비용은 감소하는 것으로 제시되었으나, 중소형생보사와 외국계생보사는 정보자본스톡이 증가할수록 비용이 증가하는 것으로 제시되었다. 또한, 정보예산이 증가할수록 정보자본과 전산직원을 동시에 증가시키고 있으나, 정보자본의 가격이 전산직원의 가격보다 더 크게 하락함에 따라 정보자본을 전산직원 보다 더 크게 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다.

GWAS analysis and selection of useful resources for direct-seeding related mesocotyl elongation in rice

  • In Asia, rice production has some difficulties with reduction of farm household population and increase of elderly population. As a result, it has resulted in inefficiency and we needs to reduce labor force and improve labor productivity. Direct-seeding in rice could reduce labor and production costs, the area of direct seeding is increasing in japonica rice production in Asia. In direct seedling cultivation competition against weeds is one of most important concern. So, low temperature germinability and mesocotyl elongation should be considered. In this study, we evaluated the mesocotyl length and low temperature germination conducted association analysis using 137 korea core collections. An average length of mesocotyl among 137 core collections was skewed range from 0mm to 43mm. we searched candidate gene around target SNP. Such related traits, genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis was carried out using GAPIT. Also, average mesocotyl length of 394 korea landrace cultivars was measured ranging from minimum 0 mm to maximum 34mm. 30 out of 394 Korea landrace cultivar conducted re-sequencing, and haplotype analysis of candidate gene. we searched these related resources, which including germination of low temperature and mesocotyl elongation. This could be used for the development of direct-seeding cultivars. The valiated accession of core collection and landrace cultivars will be used development of direct-seedling cultivar in the future.

불평등 완화의 정치경제 : 네덜란드와 덴마크의 경험 (Political Economy of Inequality Mitigation : Experiences of Netherlands and Denmark)

  • 이 연구에서는 세계 각국의 소득불평등이 심화되는 가운데 네덜란드와 덴마크는 어떻게 불평등이 증가하는 정도를 낮출 수 있었는지를 살펴보았다. 한국, 미국, 독일, 스웨덴과 비교하여 네덜란드와 덴마크의 불평등 수준과 추이는 어떠한지, 불평등 변화의 분해를 통해 이 국가들에서 불평등 변화에 영향을 미친 요인은 무엇인지를 밝혔다. 또한 네덜란드와 덴마크는 어떠한 노동시장정책을 통해 불평등을 완화하였는지를 탐색하였다. 네덜란드에서 근로소득 불평등이 완화된 중요한 원인 중의 하나는 자발적 시간제 노동의 증가를 통해 여성의 경제활동 참여가 증진되었기 때문이다. 여성들이 시간제 노동에 적극적으로 참여하게 된 배경에는 정규직과 비정규직 간의 동등한 대우를 통해 자신의 상황에 맞게 경제활동에 참여할 수 있는 제도적 여건을 마련한 것이 중요한 요인으로 작용하였다. 덴마크는 기술훈련 강화 등 적극적 노동시장 정책을 통해 저숙련, 저임금 근로자의 숙련도를 향상시켜 임금격차를 완화할 수 있었다. 네덜란드와 덴마크의 경험에 기반하여 이 연구에서는 한국의 소득 불평등을 완화하는 정책방향을 논의하였다.

The analysis of value chains for the chestnut industry in Chungcheongnam-do

  • The aim of this study was to enhance the value of the chestnut industry by analyzing the value chain structure. Based on the value chain theory, it is divided into primary activities and support activities. Thus, in total, 27 subjects from Gongju, Buyeo, and Cheongyang were interviewed and self-administered questionnaire. Regarding the value chain structure of the chestnut industry, the primary activities consisted of production followed by cultivation and storing, sorting and packaging, transportation and marketing sales. The support activities were divided into production infrastructure, policy, R&D, and systematization. The primary activities are able to maximize profits through cost reductions. The production was divided into general and environmentally friendly cultivation. Depending on the labor force, it is family-centered labor. However, the installation of harvest nets depends on a hired labor force (40 - 60%) such that it would be necessary to have a mechanized harvest to replace the manpower for the cost reduction. Transportation, marketing sales, and backdoor selling (38.1%) were higher than the existing channels (31.0%) using the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation. The enhancement of value could be created by maximizing profits through the reinforcement of the links between each subject. The production showed strong connections with cultivation/storing, sorting/packing, and backdoor selling and the National Forestry Cooperative Federation. The processing stage is a very simple structure, it would be necessary to have R&D and to support promotions, infrastructure, machines, and sales increases, which should be expanded by connections with other industries like the food industry.

서울종합방재센터 상황실 재난상황관리능력 제고 방안 - 서울특별시 소방공무원 교육훈련을 중심으로 (A Study for Enhancing Disaster Operations Management at Seoul Emergency Operations Center - Focused on the Education and Training for Firefighters of Seoul)

  • 연구목적: 서울종합방재센터 재난상황실 재난상황관리능력 제고를 위해서 조직몰입을 높이는 사회적 지원을 구성하는 하위차원의 체계적인 관리적 접근을 제기하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구방법: 감정노동을 독립변수로, 조직몰입을 종속변수로 하여 사회적 지원의 매개효과를 분석하였으며, 이에 근거해 재난상황관리 조직몰입을 제고시키기 위한 방안을 도출하였다. 연구결과: 조직지원 차원에서, 재난상황관리업무 객관적 평가, 재난상황관리 감정노동 완화 교육훈련 프로그램 개발, 재난상황관리 모니터링을 통해 상황관리 업무품질 개선과 업무 불균형 완화, 재난상황관리 직원의 업무 동기부여 및 보상책 마련, 재난상황실 소방공무원 감정노동 해결을 위한 체계적 업무 관리를 위해 재난상황 분석실 설치, 현재 상황관리 총괄팀과 재난상황관리 총괄운영 관리자, 재난상황관리 정보 분석가 및 개발자를 전문성을 갖춘 인재 충원이 필요하다. 둘째 관리자 지원 차원에서 역량있는 소방공무원 선발, 재난상황실 소방공무원에 대한 체계화된 단계별 감정노동에 대한 치유대책 마련, 감정노동 소방공무원을 위한 관리자의 상담역량을 갖추어야 한다. 결론: 재난상황실 재난상황관리능력 제고를 위해서는 사회적 지원에 기반한 조직몰입 제고를 위한 교육훈련프로그램의 개발이 이루어져야 한다.

적정임금제 도입을 통한 산업재해 감축 필요성 고찰 (Need to Reduce Industrial Accidents through the Introduction of an Prevailing Wage System)

  • 건설업의 적정임금제 도입 필요성은 건설공사를 수행하기 위해서는 치열한 경쟁 수준을 넘어 다수의 Project가 저가입찰에 바탕을 둔 원청사 들의 출혈경쟁으로 낙찰된 프로젝트의 원가부담은 하청업체로 고스란히 넘어가고, 다시 일용 근로자의 임금삭감으로 이어지는 악순환을 끊기 위해서는 최소한의 임금이 보장될 수 있도록 적정임금제 도입이 시급하다. 연구 목적:불법 다단계 산업구조를 가지고 있는 건설업은 발주자(100%)→원 도급사(80%) →하도급사 (65%)→재하도급(65% 이하)로 이어지는 임금삭감의 환경을 개선해야 할 필요가 있으며, 미국의 적정임금제 사례조사와 같은 우리에게 맞는 적정임금제도를 시행하므로 말단 근로자들의 임금이 보장 되도록 만드는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 : 건설업의 노무비 적정 지급방안의 현황을 조사하고, 미국의 적정임금제(P.W) 사례를 조사한다. 그리고 적정임금제의 효과 및 추진방향을 제시한다. 연구결과: 헌법에도 개인의 최저 임금보장이 언급되었으며, 다수의 연구자들은 적정임금제 도입만이 근로자 노임이 삭감되는 문제를 해결하고, 품질과 안전이 확보될 수 있다는 의견을 제시하였다. 결론: 건설업의 적정 임금제 시행은 불법 다단계와 불법외국인 근로를 차단하고, 건설시장의 노동환경을 개선하여 청년근로자를 유입을 만들어 낼 것이며, 건설업 수주경쟁구조 개선, 안전, 품질에도 많은 영향을 미칠 것이다.
