The work reports on the fabrication of an optical planar waveguide in the Nd:CNGG crystal by the 0.4-MeV hydrogen ion implantation with a fluence of $8.0{\times}10^{16}ions/cm^2$. The nuclear energy loss of the implanted hydrogen ions was derived by using SRIM 2013 code. The microscope image of the proton-implanted Nd:CNGG crystal cross section was captured by a metallographic microscope. The transmittance spectra were recorded before and after the ion implantation. The light intensity distribution of the planar waveguide at 632.8 nm was experimentally measured to validate its effect on one dimension confinement. The investigation shows that the proton-implanted Nd:CNGG waveguide is a candidate for an optoelectronic integrated device.

This study experimentally investigated the improvement of bond strength and durability of concrete containing high volume fly ash. Concrete mixtures made with 0%, 25% and 60% replacement of cement with class F fly ash were prepared. Water-binder ratios ranged from 0.28 to 0.72. The compressive, flexural and pullout bond strength, the resistance to chloride-ion penetration, and the water permeability of concrete were measured and presented. Test results indicate that except for the concretes at early ages, the mechanical properties, bond strength, and the durability-related chloride-ion permeability and water permeability of concrete containing high volume (60% cement replacement) fly ash were obviously superior to the concrete without fly ash at later ages of beyond 56 days. The enhanced bond strength for the high volume fly-ash concrete either with or without steel confinement is a significant finding which might be valuable for the structural application.

As the introductory content of televison series, the opening titles are crucial for helping the audience quickly grasp the tone of the narrative. With the continuous integration of the televison production industry and digital computer technology, motion graphics, featuring its unique dynamic graphic design, offers new avenues for title sequence creation. This paper dives into the application of motion graphics in the title sequences of noir genre television series, analyzing aspects such as visual style, content presentation, and narrative expression. By comparing early static text title sequences with motion graphics ones, this paper reveals the advantages of motion graphics in designing opening titles for noir genre television series and examines how it enhances visual impact and improves audience experience. This study not only enriches the creative techniques for title sequence design, but also provides valuable insights for future creations.
