Design of High Speed Modular Multiplication Using Hybrid Adder (Hybrid 가산기를 이용한 고속 모듈러 곱셈기의 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 RSA 암호 시스템의 Montgomery 모듈러 곱셈 알고리듬을 개선한 고속 모듈러 곱셈 알고리듬을 제안하고, Hybrid 구조의 가산기를 사용한 고속 모듈러 곱셈 알고리듬의 설계에 관하여 기술한다. 기존 Montgomery 알고리듬에서는 부분합계산시 2번의 덧셈연산이 요구되지만 제안된 방법에서는 단지 1번의 덧셈 연산으로 부분 합을 계산할 수 있다. 또한 덧셈 연산 속도를 향상시키기 위하여 Hybrid 구조의 가산기를 제안한다. Hybrid 가산기는 기존의 CLA(Carry Look-ahad Adder)와 CSA(Carry Select Adder)알고리듬을 혼합한 구조를 기본으로 하고 있다. 제안된 고속 모듈러 곰셈기는 VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language)을 이용하여 모델링하였고, $Synopsys^{TM}$사의 Design Analyzer를 이용하여 논리합성(Altera 10K lib. 이용)을 수행하였다. 성능 분석을 위하여 Altera MAX+ PLUS II 상에서 타이밍 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고, 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법의 효율성을 입증하였다.

Representative Volume Element Analysis of Fluid-Structure Interaction Effect on Graphite Powder Based Active Material for Lithium-Ion Batteries

  • In this study, a finite element analysis approach is proposed to predict the fluid-structure interaction behavior of active materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), which are mainly composed of graphite powder. The porous matrix of graphite powder saturated with fluid electrolyte is considered a representative volume element (RVE) model. Three different RVE models are proposed to consider the uncertainty of the powder shape and the porosity. P-wave modulus from RVE solutions are analyzed based on the microstructure and the interaction between the fluid and the graphite powder matrix. From the results, it is found that the large surface area of the active material results in low mechanical properties of LIB, which leads to poor structural durability when subjected to dynamic loads. The results obtained in this study provide useful information for predicting the mechanical safety of a battery pack.

  • The strain producing bioemulsifier was isolated from soil samples. The isolated strain was identified as the genus Acinetobacter through its morphological, cultural and physiological characteristics. The highest emulsification activity and stability by Acinetobacter sp. BE-254 was observed after 5 days of cultivation in the culture medium containing n-hexadecane 4%, NaNO$_{3}$ 0.2%, KH$_{2}$PO$_{4}$ 0.01%, MgSO$_{4}$-7H$_{2}$O 0.01%, CaCl$_{2}$ 0.01%, and yeast extract 0.01%. The optimum pH and temperature for bioemulsifier production were pH 7.0 and 30$\circ$C, respectively. Furthermore the most of bioemulsifier was produced during the exponential growth phase, and this suggested that the bioemulsifier production was growth-associated. The bioemulsifier showed good emulsification activity on various emulsifying substrates such as hydrocarbons, edible oils, and petroleum fractions.

  • This experiment was carried out to find the proper way of shoot induction and elongation of shoots in Rehmannia glutinosa. Shoot induction and multiplication rate from stem explants were significantly improved in the induction media with 1.0mg/L thidiazuron compared to BA and NAA combinations. Shoot elongation was better in the media with thidiazuron 1.0mg/L alone than in the presence of paclobutrazol.

Application of Clay Mineral Geothermometry in the Bobae Mine, Pusan, Southeastern Korea (부산 보배광상에서의 점토지질온도계의 적용)

  • Clay mineral geothermometry using sericites and chlorites in Bobae sericite mine reveals that these clay minerals formed at relatively high temperature. It appears that sericites formed at around $200{\sim}350^{\circ}C$ and chlorites formed at around $250^{\circ}C$. X-ray diffraction study of these minerals reveals that sericite 2M, type and chlorite lib type are dominant phases. Both polytypes indicate that the precipitation temperatures of these minerals shows fairly good agreement with the estimated temperature by clay mineral geothermometry. The Bobae sericite mine was formed at relatively higher temperature than several non-metal ore deposits occurred in the southern part of Korea.

The Characteristics of 'Vow by Five Meritorious Subjects' (오공신회맹문기의 성격)

  • 'Vow by Five Meritorious Subjects' was drawn up in November 14 of the second year of King Sejo's reign. The document was a pledge taken by King Sejo's son, Prince Chang, and the King's five meritorious officers in charge of national foundation (개국공신), affairs(정사공신), national defense(좌명공신), national security(정난공신), national building(좌익공신), and their offsprings in an attempt to consolidate their political power and to eliminate the opposition after having forged their coup as if King Tanjong abdicated his throne in favor of King Sejo. The signatories to this document numbered 137 persons whereas non-signatories were 83. It appears that those 83 non-signitorious were unabled to sign the vow for they were not present at the signing ceremony which followed the drafting of the document because all of them had, later on, been promoted to advice King Sejo.

  • This study is on the external environment of University library organization, to establish the theoretical background of scientific organization. The library is heavily influenced by its environment and much of the library manager's time is spent trying to reduce these envitronmental influences. The library, basic facility of the university has two environments: external and internal. The external environment is consist of educational, political, economical, cultural, technological and physical environment in society, Internal environment is consist of the university and the library condition. Several subjects of external environment which effect the construction of library organization are selected the elements of this study.

  • 불리언 논리에 기초한 현재 정보검색 시스템은 두 가지 본질적인 문제점 - 1)부정확하거나 불완전한 질의 표현과 2)일관성 없는 색인 - 이 있다. 많은 연구자들이 신경망조직(neural network) 이 정보경색에 있어서 불완전한 질의표현 문제를 해결할 수 있다고 주장해 온 반면 일관성 없는 문제는 아직 해결하지 못한 채 남아있다. 본고에서는 이러한 두 가지 문제점을 해결하기 위해 신경망 조직과 귀납학습이 소개되고 있다. 또한 이 논문에서는 신경망 조직이 어떻게 귀납학습과 통합해서 효율적인 정보 검색시스템에 응용될 수 있는지를 보여주고 있다.

  • To use SGML, which is international standard of markup language to construct fulltext database in digital libraries, the DTD is developed first. It is based on structure analysis of document. This study develops the SGML DTD for Korean document through document structure analysis of the Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management.
