Phospho-olivine $LiFePO_4$ cathode materials were prepared by hydrothermal reaction. Carbon black was added to enhance the electrical conductivity of $LiFePO_4$. The structural and morphological performance of $LiFePO_4$ and $LiFePO_4$-C powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and FE-SEM. $LiFePO_4/SPE/Li$ and $LiFePO_4$-C/SPE/Li cells were characterized electrochemically by charge/discharge experiments. The results showed that the discharge capacity of $LiFePO_4$-C/SPE/Li cell was 103 mAh/g at the first cycle. The discharge capacity of $LiFePO_4$-C/SPE/Li cell with 5 wt% carbon black was the largest among $LiFePO_4$-C/SPE/Li cells, 126 mAh/g at the first cycle and 123 mAh/g after 30 cycles, respectively. It was demonstrated that cycling performance of $LiFePO_4$-C/SPE/Li cell with 5 wt% carbon black was better than that of $LiFePO_4$/SPE/Li cell.
The importance of rechargeable lithium cells has been emphasized. So a large variety of materials has been discovered and evaluated for use as reversible cathodes and electroyltes. This paper examines the charge/discharge properties and the charge/discharge cycling life of Li$_2$O-P$_2$O-V$_2$O$_{5}$Li cells. In audition, DTA tests were carried out on Li$_2$O-P$_2$O-V$_2$O$_{5}$ glass. As a result the best performance was achieved when 0.3Li$_2$O-0.1P$_2$O$_{5}$-0.6V$_2$O$_{5}$Li cells was mixed with SP270. that is discharge capacity of 240mAh/g have been achieved. In addition this battery exhibited good cycling performance. Considering these results we expected utilization of the Li$_2$O-P$_2$O-V$_2$O$_{5}$ glass as a cathode material in a secondary battery.y battery.
$600^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 동안 공기 중에서 열처리하여 제조한 시료는 $\alpha$-LiFe $O_2$+LiFe $O_{8}$의 혼상으로 이루어졌으며 $600^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 동안 $H_2$(5%)/Ar(Bal.)혼합가스 분위기에서 열처리 한 시료는 $\alpha$-LiFe $O_2$ 상임을 확인할 수 있었다. X-선 회절분석 결과 $\alpha$-LiFe $O_2$ 분말은 cubic구조를 가졌으며 이때 격자상수 a=4.1930$\pm$0.0005 $\AA$이었다 Mossbauer 스펙트럼 분석결과 $\alpha$-LiFe $O_2$의 Neel온도는 130$\pm$3K임을 알 수 있었다.
$Li_{2}CO_3$ doped $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ ceramics were fabrication by sol-gel method. Sintering temperature must be suited to the LTCC technology. Structure and dielectric properties were investigated for effect of $Li_{2}CO_3$ dopants at BST. Structure of $Li_{2}CO_3$ doped $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ ceramics were dense and homogeneous with almost no pore. Relative permittivity was decreased and dielectric loss was increased with increasing $Li_{2}CO_3$ doping rations. In the case of the 3wt% $Li_{2}CO_3$ doped $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $900^{\circ}C$, relative permittivity and dielectric loss were 907 and 0.003 at 100 kHz.
The spinel material $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ has attracted considerable attention as an anode electrode material for many battery applications owing to its light weight and high energy density. However, the real capacity of $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ powder as determined by the solid-state method is lower than the ideal capacity. In this study, we investigated the effect of the dopants in M-doped spinel $Ba_xLi_{4-2x}Ti_5O_{12}$(x=0.005, 0.05, 0.1) powders prepared by the solid-state reaction method and used as the anode material in lithiumion batteries. The results confirmed the effect of the Ba and Sr dopants on the powder properties of the spinel $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$, which exhibited a pure spinel structure without any secondary phase in its XRD pattern. Moreover, the electrochemical properties of the spinel M-LTO materials were investigated using a half cell. The electrochemical data show that cells with anodes made of undoped $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ and Ba- and Sr-doped $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ have discharge capacities of 97, 130, and 112 mAh/g, respectively, at the first cycle. Moreover, the Ba- and Sr-doped spinel $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ demonstrated good properties in the mid-voltage range at 1.55 V, showing stable cyclic voltammogram properties which surpassed those of the same material without Ba or Sr at 1 C after 100 cycles.

For this study, the sol gel method was used to synthesize the spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) electrode material. Structural, morphological, electrochemical, and kinetic aspects of the LNMO have been characterized. The synthesized LNMO was indexed with the Fd3m cubic space group. The excellent capacity retention indicates that the spinel framework of LNMO has the ability to withstand high rate charge-discharge throughout long cycle tests. The Li diffusion coefficient (DLi) changes non-monotonically across three orders of magnitude, from 10-9 to 10-12 cm2 s-1 determined from GITT method. The variation of DLi seemed to be related to three oxidation reactions that happened throughout the charging process. A small dip in DLi at the beginning stage of Li deintercalation is correlated with the oxidation of Mn3+ to Mn4+. While two pronounced DLi minima at 4.7 V and 4.75 V are due to the oxidation of Ni2+/Ni3+ and Ni3+/Ni4+ respectively. The depletion of DLi at the high voltage region is attributed to the occurrence of two successive phase transformation phenomena.
LiMn2O4 thin fiolm cathodes for Li-ion secondary battery were fabricated by r.f. magnetron sputtering technique. As-deposited films were amorphous. A spinel structure could not be obtained LiMn2O4 films by in-situ thermal annealing. After post thermal annealing over $700^{\circ}C$ in oxygen atmosphere, LiMn2O4 films prepared above 100 W r.f. power could be crystallized into a spinel structure. The electrochemical property of the LiMn2O4 film cathodes was tested in a Li/1 M LiClO4 in PC/LiMn2O4 cell. From cyclic voltammetry at scan rate of 2mV/sec of 2.5~4.5V, LiMn2O4 electrode prepared by post annealing at 75$0^{\circ}C$ showed good initial capacity. LiMn2O4 electrode prepared by post annealing at 80$0^{\circ}C$ showed the best crycling performance.
Spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) has been considered as one of most promising cathode material, because of its low-cost and competitive energy density. However, 4.7V vs. Li/Li+ of high operating potential facilitates electrolyte degradation on cathode-electrolyte interface during charge-discharge process. In particular, commercial polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is not sutaible for LNMO cathode binder because its weak van der waals force induces thick and non-uniform coverage on the cathode surface. In this review, we study high performance binders for LNMO cathode, which forms uniform coating layer to prevent direct contact between electrolyte and LNMO particle as well as modifying high quality cathode electrolyte interphase, improved cell performace.
Vanadate glasses in the Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ system containing 10~20mo1% glass former, P$_2$O$_{5}$ were prepared by melting the batch in pt. crucible followed by quenching on the copper plate. We found that Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass-ceramics obtained from crystallization of glass showed significantly higher capacity and longer cycle life than Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass. In the present paper, we describe electro-chemical properties during crystallization process and find the best crystallization condition of Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ g1ass as cathod material. Li$_2$O-P$_2$O$_{5}$-V$_2$O$_{5}$ glass-ceramics shows superior rechargeable capacity of 220 mAh/g in the cycling between 2.0 and 3.9V. between 2.0 and 3.9V.
