This thesis aims to examine the symbolism of color in the clothing of women, focusing on the protagonist of the movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007). At the beginning of the movie, the Queen wears gowns with cartwheel ruff and wheel farthingales, symbolizing the attempt of establishing a powerful majesty. However, the Queen falls in love with Walter Raleigh and her clothing comes to emphasize femininity displaying her cleavage. Later on, her clothing indicates charismatic authority as she prepares for the Spanish war. At the end of the movie, the Queen who led the the country to victory in war puts on a luxurious gown with butterfly wings that reminds of a fairy queen. The colors of the Queen's clothing are categorized into three groups. First, the color red represents two opposite allegories. The positive image of red denotes Christ's blood, the love of God, and noble status of the Queen's image as a savior of England. On the other hand, red represents lewdness and evil which insinuate that the Queen is being attacked on her religious and political genuineness. Second, the color blue represents Saint Maria, chastity, and divinity. Third, the color goldw and white represent the Queen's ideals which are chastity as a virgin Queen and divinity.

This research explores a historical trajectory of the Milwaukee Art Museum from its establishment to the third expansion over the last six decades. After established in 1957 by the architect, Eero Saarinen, this museum underwent three expansions led by three different architects including, David Kahler, Santiago Calatrava, and James Shields. Reasons for expanding the museum were varied. A lack of exhibition space, an absence of visual identity, and path interruption problem within urban contexts were the main factors of a series of expansion. Furthermore, this research points out that there are three issues in the process of the expansion. The first is connection issues between the downtown and the lakefront in which the museum has blocked the public flow. The second, there were controversies on the allocation of the expanded space among the main body of the decision including architects, curators, and stakeholders. The last one is relationships among architects. This is related to each architect's attitude toward the museum. Drawing on historical documents and interviews with the regional architects, I argue that the identity and values of the museum have changed over time through the expansions rather than having the invariable.

레저문화의 발달과 주5일제의 근무로 주말 가족과 함께 보내는 시간이 많아지면서 야외로 캠핑을 즐기는 사람들이 많아지고 있다. 팬션이나 캠핑카의 이용도 많은 반면 가족, 친구단위로 여름 휴가철에는 많은 텐트이용을 볼 수 있다. 현재 우리나라의 텐트디자인 역시 조금씩 발전, 변화되어가고 있지만 기후, 문화습성, 선호색상에 따라 독특한 디자인적 특성을 가지고 있는 외국의 텐트디자인 만큼 발전하고 있지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 외국과 국내 텐트디자인 요소에서 컬러, 프레임 등을 중심으로 텐트디자인 경향을 비교분석하여 차이점을 조사하고, 이론적인 자료와 아이디어 스케치를 통하여 텐트의 크기, 넓이, 이동과 설치의 간편함 중심으로 우리나라 특성에 맞는 텐트디자인의 방향을 제시하였다. 손쉽게 설치하고 운반의 용이성을 주기 위해 프레임에 대한 무게를 최소화하고 내구성의 강화와 공기 흐름을 유입경로를 파악하여 쾌적한 공간 연출을 위하여 기존의 텐트보다 창문의 스타일과 크기가 많아지고 텐트의 크기를 넓혀 가방이나 짐을 내부 한 구속에 창고형식의 공간을 두어 사용자들에게 최대한 넓은 활동 공간을 유도하였다. 이론조사를 통한 외국 텐트의 경향과 국내 텐트의 경향에 대하여 자료 수집정리와 텐트의 칼라비교와 언어이미지를 추출하여 프레임스타일을 응용스타일결과로 제시하여 3개월의 준비기간으로 샘플 제작을 하여 테스트 단계를 거쳐 중국 공장에서 양산되고 있다.

본 연구는 색채선호도를 고려한 유색보석 제품 개발을 위해 유색 보석을 먼셀의 10색을 기본으로 하여 색상별로 분류하여 20대 여성 소비자들을 대상으로 유색 보석에 대한 색채 선호도를 분석하였으며, 이를 위해 트랜드 분석과 디자인 이미지 형용사 분석을 통해 개발 방향을 설정하여 제품을 개발하였다. 색채 선호도 결과를 살펴보면 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 유색보석 보다는 블루쿼츠, 카나이트, 쿤자이트, 스페서타이트 가넷 등과 같은 소비자에게 알려지지 않은 칼라의 보석을 선호하는 것으로 유추할 수 있다. 향후 유색보석 제품 개발에 있어서 트랜드 분석과 디자인 선호 이미지 형용사 분석을 통해 소비자의 소비가치와 개성을 충족시키는 디자인 방안을 찾아 볼 수 있었으며, 본 연구의 결과가 주얼리 업체 및 디자이너에게 유색 보석 실용화를 위한 기초 자료로서 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

가시광을 선택적으로 반사하는 광 응답성 코레스테릭 액정을 조제하고, 그 선택적 반사파장의 광화학적 변조를 시도함으로서 포토닉스(Photonices) 재료로서의 가능성을 검토했다. 고유의 선택 반사파장의 변조는 아조벤젠 유도체의 트란스(trans)·시스(cis)간의 광이성화에 의해 상전이 온도와 칼라의 변화와 함께 가역적으로 제어되어질 수 있었다. 또한 선택 반사파장의 변화에 수반되는 반사율의 변화는 코레스테릭 액정과 검출광의 광학적 성질에 의해 크게 좌우되어 지고, 반사율의 가역적인 스위칭에 있어서는 검출광에 대한 코레스테릭 액정의 초기 반사파장의 위치는 상반된 스위칭 모드(normal and reverse modes)를 산출하기에 매우 중요한 역할을 담당했다.

본 연구에서는 단순 세정의 개념이 아닌 복합감각 증진 개념의 헬스케어 목욕 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 헬스케어 감성욕조를 디자인하기 위해 우선 타입별 특성을 고찰하였다. 이를 기반으로 복합감각 자극용 전신 욕조를 개발하였고, 이 전신욕조는 감성자극용 전신욕조 월풀, 시청각 감각 자극 기능이 구비된 욕조 커버, 제어용 소형 PC, 터치패널, DMB 패널, 시각 감성 증진을 위한 칼라 가변형 LED 무드 시스템과 스피커로 구성되어 있다. 제작된 복합감각 증진 개념의 헬스케어 욕조시스템의 특성을 고찰하기 위해서 목욕을 하는 동안 인체 자율신경계에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 전반적으로 목욕 상태에서의 심박변이율은 실험 중 교감신경에 비해 부교감신경이 계속 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 목욕을 시작한지 15분이 경과하면 교감신경이 증가하고 부교감신경이 감소하여, 피험자가 목욕을 한지 15분일 때 가장 편안한 상태를 느끼는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 목욕 실험 결과 전후의 혈압이 최고 16mmHg까지 떨어진 것으로 나타났으나 맥박은 증가하였다. 이것은 심장으로부터 혈액의 유출량이 많아져 혈류량이 증가하는 것으로 복합감각 증진용 헬스케어 욕조 시스템을 이용한 목욕이 혈액 순환에 긍정적인 영향을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 가지고 복합감각 기능증진 헬스케어 목욕시스템의 사용성과 사용자의 생리분석을 통한 기초결과를 통해서 사용자의 생리변화를 분석함으로써 제품의 사용성과 사용자의 생리적 변화 및 감성 간의 관계를 보다 더 명확하게 밝혀낼 수 있으리라 기대한다.

This thesis aims to reveal the unsatisfactory unfitting factors in the tight collars of adult males' dress shirts for the purpose of improving neck-collar fitness. For this study, nine adult males were chosen as the subjects. When the subjects erected their necks upright, the researcher conducted an experiment, using the direct anthropometrical measuring method and the gypsum method by turns, in order to understand neck shapes by way of right-neck lateral flection, left-neck lateral flection, neck flection, neck extension, right neck rotation, and left neck rotation. And then, the propriety of allowances from body surface alteration was verified by analyses through the measurement of wearing comfortableness and clothing pressure in two sorts of ready-made dress shirts, which had different allowances. The consequences of this study are as follows: 1. In length alteration to movement, a decrease was found in the opposite (and an increase in the identical) directions of right-neck lateral flection, left-neck lateral flection, and neck flection movements. Also, when the subjects shook their heads, an increase was seen by 0.42$\sim$0.63cm in neck girth, 0.31$\sim$1.12cm in 3cm-above-the-neck base girth, and 1.16cm in neck extension of 3cm-above-the-neck base girth. 2. As a result of the drafts of surface measurement, the alteration ratios of dimensions and vertical length dropped in the identical directions of the movement, but grew in the opposite directions. A reverse change was shown in horizontal length. The rough widening gaps for making drafts were 0.7cm in front left and right, and 0.2cm in back left and right of 3cm-above-the-neck base girth. On the whole, the space was about 1.8cm, while there was no significant variation between the upright stationary test and the movement test. 3. There were important differences between the two kinds of ready-made dress shirts (Type A: 1cm allowance in neck girth; Type B: 2cm allowance) in clothing pressure and wearing comfortableness. That is, Type A had higher pressure and more uncomfortable sense of wearing. In other words, as clothing pressure and wearing comfortableness are negatively related to each other, Type A's greater clothing pressure led to worse wearing comfortableness.

본 연구는 1966년 TBC 동화부의 황금박쥐로 시작된 한국 하청애니메이션의 역사를 1980년대 시기까지 분석하여, 한국애니메이션에서 30년 넘게 진행되어 온 하청애니메이션의 역사를 재조명하였다. 이를 위해 하청애니메이션 제작사 제작현황 산업의 규모 등 하청애니메이션 개괄적인 상황을 통해 당시 OEM산업의 실태를 점검하였고, 애니메이션이 하청제작산업으로 고착화된 배경을 시대상황과 연계하여 분석하였다. 또한 이를 기반으로 하청애니메이션산업이 발생시킨 문제점과 한계 그리고 이를 극복하고 창작애니메이션을 활성화하기 위한 새로운 모색에 대한 분석을 통해 애니메이션 역사 연구의 지평을 넓혀보고자 하였다. 1970년대는 중화학공업 육성과 수출주도형 경제성장이 국가적 목표였던 시기였다. 70년대 후반부터 애니메이션도 해외애니메이션 하청 수주를 통해 수출 주력산업으로 주목받았다. 하청 해니메이션 제작의 확대는 당시 대중문화에 대한 국가의 정책과 칼라TV보급, 비디오 제작 시장 활성화 등의 매체 변화로 극장용 애니메이션 관객이 축소된 점에도 영향을 받았으며 경제적 논리로 자체 애니메이션 제작을 기피했던 방송사 등 플랫폼 부재도 그 원인이었다. 하청애니메이션산업은 애니메이션 인프라의 구축과 신진 인력 양성 등 애니메이션 환경을 확장시켰다는 측면에서 긍정적인 평가를 할 수 있다. 그러나 기술집약적인 '프로덕션' 단계 중심의 발전은 기획력 등 '프리 프로덕션'의 부재와 '포스트 프로덕션(후반작업)'에 대한 인식 부족으로 전문인력 양성에 왜곡된 구조를 만들었고, OEM산업으로 축적된 자본을 창작애니메이션 제작에 재투자하여 내수시장을 형성하지 못한 점은 부정적 측면으로 평가된다. 애니메이션은 한 나라의 문화적, 정신적 산물이다. 따라서 전문인력의 양성과 우수한 작품의 창작, 선순환 구조를 만들 수 있는 시장의 형성 등 창작애니메이션 활성화를 위한 체계적인 지원 정책이 모색되어야 한다. 그러나 애니메이션은 산업이지만 하드웨어 중심의 제조업이 아닌 창의력에 기반한 문화산업이라는 인식은 없었다. 이러한 인식의 부재로 이 시기 한국 애니메이션은 독자적인 작품 제작을 위한 장기적인 계획과 투자를 통해 시장을 만들고, 창작애니메이션을 활성화하는 어떠한 정책 방안도 마련하지 못했다. 이러한 시도는 1990년대 이후 한국도 창작 애니메이션 보호 육성을 위한 다각적인 모색을 통해 새롭게 시작된다.
