  • 이동 객체를 위한 기존 연구는, 제한조건이 없는 이상적인 공간을 가정하고 설계되었으나, 이는 실제 응용에 직접 적용하는데 문제를 지니고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 LBS (location-based service) 의 효과적인 지원을 위해, 이상적인 공간대신, 실제 도로나 철도와 같은 공간 네트워크(network)를 고려하며, 아울러, 이러한 공간네트워크 데이터베이스를 위한 효율적인 저장 및 색인 구조를 설계한다.

  • 지방자치단체 업무를 지원하기 위해 구축된 지리정보 활용 시스템을 UIS (Urban Information System : 도시정보시스템)라 한다. 본 논문은 각 지방자치단체가 많은 비용을 투자하여 개발한 UIS 활용을 극대화하기 위해 지방자치단체의 현장업무 중심의 UIS에 GPS와 PDA을 결합한 LBS(Location-Based Service:위치기반서비스) 시스템을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 시스템을 개발하여 활용한다면 현재 UIS의 가장 큰 문제점인 데이터베이스 유지보수 비용을 절감할 것이라 기대된다.

  • 본고에서는 무선 이동통신 및 무선 데이터 통신의 기술적인 급성장과 함께 스마트폰 사용자의 급증으로 인하여 새롭게 떠오르고 있는 위치 기반 서비스 (Location Based Service; LBS)의 국내외 최근 동향을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 위치정보를 추정하기 위한 무선측위 기술동향에 대해 알아보고, LBS의 플랫폼 구성 기술 및 응용 동향에 대해 알아본다. 그리고 마지막으로 국내외 기술 개발 동향을 알아본 후에 결론을 맺는다.

  • 본 연구는 화재 재난 발생 시 시야가 확보되지 않는 환경에서 대피할 수 있도록 비상구를 모바일 AR(Augmented Reality 이하 증강현실) 기반의 스마트폰 어플리케이션의 안내를 통해 대피할 수 있는 실용적 기술 적용에 관한 연구이다. 특히 실내 LBS(Location-Based Service)를 위한 기술을 위해 Beacon(이하 비콘)기술과의 적용 연구를 통해서 특정한 공간과 건물 내에서 화재 발생 시 활용할 수 있도록 구체적이고 실용적으로 설계와 제안되었다. 향후 실제 화재가 발생하였을 때 사용할 수 있는 증강현실 및 LBS 기술로써의 활용과 확장을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Nowdays, The LED Illumination system can achieve lower power consumption and has a longer life-time compared to the fluorescent lamp system. Visible Light Communication(VLC) is wireless optical communication to use visible light of LED. This paper designs the indoor navigation of Location-Based Service(LBS) using LED illumination. and the parking guidance system using VLC in the underground parking lot. We show the result of experimentation and confirm possibility of the parking guidance system.

  • In this paper, we propose a location-based service that the user's location is known by connection history to WI-FI AP installed in a facility known its location previously. The location-based service proposed in this paper manages job processing states of technicians who inspect and maintain the facility like elevator by using worker's location and arrival time information. The job scheduling management method proposed in this paper is based on previously scheduled arrival time and actual arrival time to a target facility. And we experimentally implemented the inspection and maintenance system of an elevator to show the feasibility of job schedule management based on location and arrival time information acquired from Wi-Fi AP connection history. Our experimental implementation shows that our proposed method is usefulness in the field of the inspection and maintenance of a facility.

  • According to the ubiquitous trend, the needs for the context based application service have been increased. These services take on Location Based Service which is based on the current location of users. It is widely used that localization techniques use GPS or ground wave and more efficient and accurate methods have been studied. Recently, not only services which targeted outdoor but also services which targeted indoor, for example home services and facility guidance of the building come into the spotlight. In case of the outdoor positioning area, COTH (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) has been released and used but relatively it doesn't produce an outcome in the indoor positioning area. Therefore, this paper Proposes the indoor positioning technique using wireless LAN (Local Area Network) which is one of the widely used wireless communication technique. It analyzes the typical WLAN location positioning methodology has been studied and their advantage and disadvantage also suggests how to design and implement the specific WLAN positioning system. In addition, it suggests new methods that progress the accuracy of the existing systems and improve the efficient computation.

  • In recent years, LBS(Location Based Service) is applied in many different fields. Therefore, various location-aware schemes have been studied. In the location awareness system using time dependent algorithm, TOA(Time of Arrival) or TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival) algorithm, distortion of a signal by AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) and multi-path effects cause the degradation of location awareness performance. In this paper, the unexpected noise is eliminated by averaging multiple pulses in order to overcome the degradation of performance. Also, we research the technique for improving the performance of the location awareness by detecting direct-path signal with adjusting threshold.

  • The LBS(Location Based Service) technology plays an important role in reducing wastes of time, losses of human lives and economic losses by detecting the user's location in order by suggesting the optimal evacuation route of the users in case of safety accidents. We developed an algorithm to estimate indoor location, movement path and indoor location changes of smart phone users based on the built-in sensors of smartphones and the dead-reckoning algorithm for pedestrians without a connection with smart devices such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Furthermore, seven different indoor movement scenarios were selected to measure the performance of this algorithm and the accuracy of the indoor location estimation was measured by comparing the actual movement route and the algorithm results of the experimenter(pedestrian) who performed the indoor movement. The experimental result showed that this algorithm had an average accuracy of 95.0%.
