Purpose : We compared the set-up accuracy and right-left Shoulder position variation of the manufactured device and other commercial shoulder-retractors in the head and neck radiation treatment. Materials and Methods : Six patients consist of three groups which were used three different Shoulder retractors. We measured position corrections of left and right Shoulder and the couch after the image guidance by using on board imager (OBI) for six head and neck patients who has the extended target to the neck node lower region. Results : The position variation correction of left (right) Shoulder after image guidance were $1.07{\pm}3.99mm$ ($-4.35{\pm}2.09mm$), $-0.37{\pm}5.91mm$ ($1.26{\pm}5.28mm$), $-0.63{\pm}2.44mm$ ($0.25{\pm}1.61mm$) for group A, B and C. The vertical, lateral, longitudinal position and angular corrections of the couch after image guidance were $-2.06{\pm}2.68$, $-1.11{\pm}8.15$, $0.34{\pm}3.78mm$, and $0.51{\pm}0.77$ degree for group A, $-1.18{\pm}1.82$, $-0.94{\pm}2.13$, $-0.67{\pm}1.98mm$, and $0.91{\pm}1.04$ degree for group B and $0.12{\pm}2.18$, $-0.79{\pm}2.64$, $0.79{\pm}2.64$, and $0.00{\pm}0.49$ degree for group C. Conclusion : In this preliminary study, we found the positioning accuracy of the manufactured Shoulder retractor is comparable to other commercial Shoulder retractors. We expect that the reproducibility and accuracy of the patient set-up could be improved by using the home made Shoulder retractor in the head and neck radiation treatment.

This study was designed to test the effects of comprehensive rehabilitation management on functional recovery after attack of cerebrovascular disease. 16 cerebrovascular disease patients applied comprehensive rehabilitation management of physical therapy at department of physical Therapy, C medical center in Gwang-ju. The collection of the data had been executed for 4months(April 15, 2007${\sim}$July 15, 2007). For evaluating, Functional Independence measure(FIM) and Somatosensory Evoked Potential(SSEP) were used to assess functional recovery. The results of this study were as follows: 1. In the comparison of latency of median nerve SSEP before and after treatment, the lat. N20 and P25 increased, the ampl. P25/N20 was decreased. In the comparison difference data of median nerve SSEP, however there was no significant difference in the group(p>0.05). 2. In the comparison of latency of Post Tibial nerve SSEP before and after treatment, the lat. P40, P50, P60 increased, the ampl. P40 was decreased. In the comparison difference data of post tibial nerve SSEP, however there was no significant difference in the group(p>0.05). 3. In the comparison of FIM scores of Self-care, Sphincter Control, Mobility: Transfer, Locomotion before and after treatment, the scores of FIM was significantly increased. In the comparison of difference of the motor part of FIM, however there was significant difference(p<0.05). 4. In the comparison of FIM scores of Communication, Social Cognition before and after treatment, the scores of FIM was significantly increased. In the comparison of difference of the motor part of FIM, however there was no significant difference in the group(p>0.05). Based on these results, it is concluded that the comprehensive rehabilitation management for cerebrovascular disease case was not significant difference in the SSEP, was significant difference in the motor part of FIM. Further study should be done to analyze the effect of intervention duration of treatment, optimal time to apply the treatment in more long period.

Energy loss at manholes under surcharged flow is considered as one of the major causes of inundation in urban area. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the flow characteristics to reduce the energy loss in the surcharged four-way combining manhole. In this study, hydraulic experimental apparatus was constructed considering the results of the present survey. Square manholes and pipe diameters were reduced to 1/5 by applying sewer facility standards. Numerical simulations were carried out with the Fluent 6.3 model to derive the invert condition which can reduce the energy loss in the surcharged four-way combining square manhole. The hydraulic experiments were carried out according to the various conditions of the lateral flow rate($Q_{lat}/Q_{out}$), discharge of outflow pipe (2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 4.8 l/sec), and invert shape (rectangle and square open conduit type). The crossed invert was not found to improve the drainage capacity of the surcharged four-way rectangular combining manhole. However, the improved rectangle open conduit type invert and square open conduit type invert were analyzed to improve the drainage capacity by reducing the head loss coefficients by about 8% and 28%, respectively. Therefore, in order to increase the drainage capacity of urban facilities, it is possible to install and use the improved invert proposed in this study.

Amino acid transporters are essential for the growth and proliferation in all living cells. Among the amino acid transporters, the system L amino acid transporters are the major nutrient transport system responsible for the $Na^+$-independent transport of neutral amino acids including several essential amino acids. The L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1), an isoform of system L amino acid transporter, is highly expressed in cancer cells to support their continuous growth and proliferation. 2-Aminobicyclo-(2,2,1)-heptane-2-carboxylic acid (BCH) is a model compound for the study of amino acid transporter as a system L selective inhibitor. We have examined the effect and mechanism of BCH on cell growth suppression in HEp2 human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The BCH inhibited the L-leucine transport in a concentration-dependent manner with a $IC_{50}$ value of $51.2{\pm}3.8{\mu}M$ in HEp2 cells. The growth of HEp2 cells was inhibited by BCH in the timeand concentration-dependent manners. The formation of DNA ladder was not observed with BCH treatment in the cells. Furthermore, the proteolytic processing of caspase-3 and caspase-7 in the cells were not detected by BCH treatment. These results suggest that the BCH inhibits the growth of HEp2 human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma through the intracellular depletion of neutral amino acids for cell growth without apoptotic processing.

Purpose: Ultrasound is of proven accuracy in abdominal and thoracic trauma and may be useful for diagnosing extremity injury in situations where radiography is not available, such as disasters and military and space applications. However, the diagnosis of fractures is suggested by history and physical examination and is typically confirmed with radiography. As a alternative to radiography, we prospectively evaluated the utility of extremity ultrasound performed by trained residents of emergency medicine (EM) one patient with wrist and ankle extremity injuries. Methods: Initially, residents of EM performed physical examinations for fractures. The emergency ultrasound (EM US) was performed by trained residents, who used a portable ultrasound device with a 10- to 5-MHz linear transducer, on suspected patients before radiography examination. The results of emergency ultrasound and radiography and the final diagnosis were recorded, and correlation among them were determined by using Kappa s test Results: Thirty-nine patients were enrolled in our study. The average age was $36.6\;{\pm}\;19.3$ years. There were radius Fx. (n=21), radius-ulna Fx. (n=1), ulna Fx. (n=1), and contusion (n=2) injuries among the wrist injury and lat.-med. malleolar Fx. (n=13), lat. malleolar Fx. (n=6), and med. malleolar Fx. (n=3) injuries among the ankle injury. Comparing EM US with radiography, we found the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of EM US for Fx. diagnosis to be 100%, 66.7%, 97.3%, 100% and those of radiography to be 97.2%, 100%, 100%, and 75%, respectively. Kappa s test for a correlation between the Fx. diagnosis of EM US and the final diagnosis of Fx was performed, and Kappa's value was 0.787 (P = 0.004).Conclusion: EM US for Fx. can be performed quickly and accurately by EM residents with excellent accuracy in remote locations such as disaster areas and in military and aerospace applications. EM US was as useful as radiography in our study and had a high correlation to the final diagnosis of Fx. Therefore, ultrasound should performed on patients with extremity injury to determine whether extremity evaluation should be added to the FAST (focused abdominal sonography trauma) examination.

The submersion and emersion patterns are key factors that directly influence the habitat environment of the coastal plants and animals. In this study, the coasts are divided into five zones (zones 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 - not flooded, flooded once, flooded and exposed to air twice, exposed to air once, continuously flooded in the day, respectively) based on the patterns using tidal elevation data at the major eight stations and the domestic and international reference tidal levels, i.e., AHHW, ALLW, HAT and LAT, are also estimated to analyse the characteristics of the five distinct zones. Based on the results, the frequency of the zone 3 are dominant and forms from 87.2% to 88.2% (nearly constant) irrelevant with the tidal ranges at all stations. The taking-up percentages of the zones 2 and 4 show nearly constant, below 4% and over 8%, respectively. In Pohang station classified as the mainly diurnal tide, the percentages are decreased to 1.4% in zone 2 and increased to 10.8% due to the effects of the annual and semi-annual tidal components.
To study the positioning error according to the use of belly board and body mass index (BMI) for rectal cancer radiotherapy, a retrospective study was conducted on 114 patients from January 2012 to March 2013. The median age of the patients was 58 (29-83 years), mean BMI was $23.35kg/m^2$ ($16.55-31.15kg/m^2$), 31 patients used belly board and 83 did not use belly board. There were a total of 527 AP & LAT images of treatment (EPID), and the mean and standard deviation of each X, Y, Z axis were $1.66{\pm}1.55mm$, $1.64{\pm}1.56mm$, and $1.99{\pm}1.75mm$, respectively. Based on the BMI of 24 or higher, error occurrence risk of higher or equal to 2mm on Z axis was 4.8 times higher compared to BMI of 24 or lower (p<0.001), and when BMI was 24 or higher in case the belly board was not used, the error occurrence risk of higher or equal to 2mm on the z-axis was 3.6 times higher (p<0.011). Radiation therapy for rectal cancer patients, using Belly Board for both the ones wearing fistula and with high BMI may be effective in decreasing the positioning errors.
In this study, the effective dose for frequently general radiography among the diagnostic reference level (DRL) for examinations provided by the government in Korea was evaluated using the Monte Carlo N-Particle eXtended (MCNPX) simulation tool. We were selected to evaluate for a total of 5 examination sites which included head anterior-posterior, chest (posterior-anterior, lateral), abdomen anterior-posterior and pelvis anterior-posterior. Physical conditions such as tube voltage and tube current used in MCNPX simulation were used in domestic conditions of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA). To evaluate domestic medical radiation exposure, we used the HDRK-Man computerized human phantom manufactured based on the international standard ICRP 103 that was applied to the MCNPX simulation. The phantom could represent the standard body shape of Koreans. As a results, the effective dose corresponding to the DRL based on adult males of head anterior-posterior position was 0.086 mSv, chest posterior-anterior position was 0.05 mSv, chest lateral was 0.354 mSv, abdomen anterior-posterior position was 0.548 mSv, and pelvis anterior-posterior position was 0.451 mSv.

In this paper, we tried to identify implications of selecting gifted of information science & followed educational system via analyzing each of student's characteristics in each subjects they study within Science Education Institute for the Gifted. A study of the existing institutions do not have experience of the gifted students based on assessment through observation of the 1-year science, mathematics and information science education in the List of attribute analysis. Learners of Information Science became with analysis that Attitude Category was superior in mathematics to the subject of science and Problem Solving Category regardless of the subjects showed similar. As to, Attitude Category, Problem Solving Category and Mathematics Cognition Category was analyzed to be closed and we could confirm through the qualitative observation record. On this, the researcher concluded that the mathematics could know the effect fitness by a learner rather than the subject of science as to an attitude and problem resolution area.
We present the analysis results of the simultaneous multifrequency observations of the blazar 4C +28.07. The observations were conducted by the Interferometric Monitoring of Gamma-ray Bright Active Galactic Nuclei (iMOGABA) program, which is a key science program of the Korean Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) Network (KVN). Observations of the iMOGABA program for 4C +28.07 were conducted from 16 January 2013 (MJD 56308) to 13 March 2020 (MJD 58921). We also used γ-ray data from the Fermi Large Array Telescope (Fermi-LAT) Light Curve Repository, covering the energy range from 100 MeV to 100 GeV. We divided the iMOGABA data and the Fermi-LAT data into five periods from 0 to 4, according to the prosody of the 22 GHz data and the presence or absence of the data. In order to investigate the characteristics of each period, the light curves were plotted and compared. However, a peak that formed a hill was observed earlier than the period of a strong γ-ray flare at 43-86 GHz in period 3 (MJD 57400-58100). Therefore, we assumed that the minimum total CLEANed flux density for each frequency was quiescent flux (Sq) in which the core of 4C +28.07 emitted the minimum, with the variable flux (Svar) obtained by subtracting Sq from the values of the total CLEANed flux density. We then compared the variability of the spectral indices (α) between adjacent frequencies through a spectral analysis. Most notably, α22-43 showed optically thick spectra in the absence of a strong γ-ray flare, and when the flare appeared, α22-43 became optically thinner. In order to find out the characteristics of the magnetic field in the variable region, the magnetic field strength in the synchrotron self-absorption (BSSA) and the equipartition magnetic field strength (Beq) were obtained. We found that BSSA is largely consistent with Beq within the uncertainty, implying that the SSA region in the source is not significantly deviated from the equipartition condition in the γ-ray quiescent periods.
