DTF 를 이용한 석탄 회분 함량에 따른 미연분 및 NOx 배출 특성 연구 (Effect of Ash Content on Unburned Carbon and NOx Emission in a Drop Tube Furnace)

  • 본 연구는 고회분탄의 최적화된 연소 조건을 알아보기 위해 회분 함량이 각기 다른 네 종류 석탄의 연소시 배출되는 NOx및 미연분 특성을 알아보았다. 실험은 DTF(Drop Tube Furnace)를 통해서 다양한 입자크기조건 및 공기다단방식을 도입하여 수행하였다. 결과로 회분의 함량이 증가할수록 미연분이 증가하며, 입자크기가 증대될수록 미연분에 대한 회분의 영향이 명확해짐을 확인하였다. 또한, 회분의 함량이 증가할수록 Char-NOx가 감소하며, 입자크기가 감소할수록 NOx의 배출이 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 고회분탄의 NOx를 저감하는 방법으로 공기다단방식의 적용을 제안하며 전단 연소 영역의 공기과잉률 변화를 통한 최적화된 연소조건을 제시하였다.

  • The metal forming behavior and defect formation in Ti-6Al-4V tube during hot backward extrusion were investigated. To predict the forming-defects such as shear band, inner cracks or surface cracks, dynamic material model(DMM) including Ziegler's instability criterion and modified Cockcroft-Latham fracture criterion(C-L model) were used. These models were coupled to the internal variables generated from FE analysis. The chilling effect and friction indicated a great influence on the deformation mode of the tube and the formation of surface cracks. The simulation results for the backward extrusion were compared with the experimental observations.

  • A numerical study has been conducted to investigate the effect of tube arrangement on the heat transfer and the pressure loss for cross flow heat exchangers. By defining a transverse deviation factor, ${\varepsilon}_t=l_T/S_T$, the flow pattern and the heat transfer characteristics are compared for selected ${\varepsilon}_t$ values of 0.0(in-lined), 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5(staggered) by using a commercial software. Computational domain includes 1 pitch in the transverse direction and 5 pitches in the flow direction with due periodic boundary conditions.

소구경 관단 성형공정 최적화 (A Study on the Forming Process Optimization of a Small Tube)

  • The end shape of tube for automobile power steering system has influence on the ability of performance. In this case study, we attempted to optimize the forming process of a small tube using Taguchi experimental design methodology. A preliminary experiment was conducted and four main control factors were selected. The experiment was set up as an $L_9(3^4)$ orthogonal array, and determined the optimal levels of the four factors through the analysis of the experimental results. As a result, the performance characteristic(close adhesion power) of the product was improved about 36%. In addition, the process capability index $C_{pk}$ is enhanced from 0.94 to 6.85.

  • This paper presents basic study to develop high performance concrete for concrete filled tube with addition content of steel fiber. In this study, all mixtures was added to nylon fiber (1.5 kg/㎥) and steel fiber was mixed by 0, 20 and 40 kg/㎥ respectively. To evaluate the property of high performance concrete was used to various test methods which were slump flow, air content, U-box test, O-lot test and L-flow(to 300 mm, 500 mm). Also, compressive strength test was measured by ages.

  • The study experimented to understand the ice making characteristics on to kinds of round tube type and oval tube type using ice maker. The experiment were carried out under various conditions, that used brine temperature $-10{\sim}-6^{\circ}C$, brine flow rate $1.0{\sim}1.8\;m/s$ and inlet water temperature $6{\sim}-12^{\circ}C$ etc. Mass of ice per making area increased according to the decrease of the brine temperature and inlet water temperature, but that was increased according to the increase of the brine flow rate.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of operating condition and ejector geometries on the hydrodynamics and on the mass transfer characteristic of ejector. The CFD results were validated with available experimental data. Flow field analyses and predictions of ejector performance were also carried out. Variation on the operating conditions was made by varying the gas-liquid flow rate ratio in the range of 0.2 to 1.2. The ejector configuration was also varied on the length to diameter ratio of mixing tube ($L_M/D_M$) in the range of 4 to 10. CFD studies show that at $L_M/D_M$ 5.5, the volumetric mass transfer coefficient increases with respect to gas flow rates. Meanwhile, at $L_M/D_M$ 4, the plot of volumetric mass transfer coefficient to gas-liquid flow rates ratio reach maximum at gas-liquid flow rates ratio of 0.6. This study also shows that volumetric mass transfer coefficient decrease with respect to the increase of mixing tube length.

  • X-ray quality is identified numerically by half value layer(H.V.L) and the HVL is affected by the kVp and the amount of filtration in the useful beam. X-ray quality evaluated by H.L.D is influenced by kVp and filtration. Author had several experiments with phantom in diameter of 8 cm normal adult chest, for reduction of radiation dose of the patients in diagnostic radiology and got some results. 1. H.V.L is increased the thicker the filter and the higher the kVp. 2. If the kVp is increased from 60 to 120, the skin dose can be reduced as 34%(Skin dose of 60 kVp with 4 mmAl filter : 100%). 3. If the 4 mmAl filter with 60 kVp is added to x-ray tube, skin dose can be reduced as 23% than no filter. 4. Therefore high kVp and filtration can increase output to input dose ratio and 120 kVp and 4 mmAl filter were most effective for reduction of patient dose in chest radiography.

배합사료를 혼합한 돼지감자 ( Helianthus tuberosus L. ) 사일리지 제조시험 (A Study on the Quality of Tuber silage of Jerusalem Artichoke ( Helianthus tuberosus L. ))

  • In order to utilize the tuber of Jerusalem artichoke (Jerusalem tuberosus L.) which has been considered one of the most economical resources for bioenergy, the tubers of the plant were processed into silage in 11 lab-silo with three levels of mixture of concentrates i.e. 10, 20, 30%. The silage was stored for 20 to 40 days before analyses. The quality of silage was compared with those of the tube-only silage without concentrates. Aproximate composition, pH, ammonium nitrogen, total nitrogen, and organic acids were analyzed. The results obtained are summarized ; 1. With the mixture of concentrates, the water content of the silage was able to be adjusted to 70 percent and NDF significantly increased (P<0.05) while ADF significantly decreased. 2. The content of water-soluble carbohydrate (WSC) was significantly decreased in silages of the mixture of concentrate and the tuber (P<0.05), while total nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen increased. 3. Tube-only silage gave satisfaction in fermentation, particularly organic-acid fermentation. As the storage period extended, Flieg's score of the silage was improved. Conclusively, the tuber of Jerusalem artichoke found to satisfy the requirements of good silage and to be recommended as a good resource for all-inane silage provided the tuber was ensilaged with 20 to 30 percent concentrate.
