Milt Properties and Spermatozoa Structure of Filefish(Thamnaconus modestus) (말쥐치(Thamnaconus modestus) 정액의 특성과 정자의 미세구조)

  • The milt properties of filefish(Thamnaconus modestus) included physical properties of sperm and biochemical properties of seminal plasma. The physical properties of milt were $0.3{\pm}0.1\;mL{\cdot}fish^{-1}$ in sperm volume, $2.6{\pm}0.1{\times}10^7\;spermatozoa{\cdotg}mL^{-1}$ in sperm concentration and $73.3{\pm}6.7$ in spermatocrit. The biochemical properties of seminal plasma contained $9.8{\pm}0.9\;mmol{\cdot}L^{-1}$ potassium, $164.0{\pm}4.0\;mmol{\cdot}L^{-1}$ sodium, $151.0{\pm}1.2\;mmol{\cdot}L^{-1}$ chloride, $14.9{\pm}0.6\;mg{\cdot}dL^{-1}$ calcium, $7.2{\pm}0.1\;mg{\cdot}dL^{-1}$ magnesium, $1.0\;mg{\cdot}dL^{-1}$ glucose, $0.1\;g{\cdot}dL^{-1}$ total protein and $1.0\;mg{\cdot}dL^{-1}$ total lipid. The osmolality and pH of seminal plasma were $322.8{\pm}2.8\;mOsmol{\cdot}kg^{-1}$ and $7.7{\pm}0.1$, respectively. The spermatozoon of filefish consisted of three parts: head without acrosome, mid-piece with five mitochondria and flagellum with "9+2" pattern. The head of spermatozoon in longitudinal section was horseshoe-shaped, and $1.3{\sim}1.6\;{\mu}m$ long and $1.0{\sim}1.3\;{\mu}m$ wide.

  • Synthesis of (lR,5S,6S)-6-[(lR)-1-hydroxyethyl] -2-[(3S,5S)-5-(2-ethoxycarbonyl-1-moxy(hydroxy)iminoethyl)pyrrolidine-3-ylthio]-1-methylcarbapen-2-em-3-carboxylic acids (10a,l0b) were described. Methyl(2S,4S)-4-tritylthio-1-(allyloxycarbonyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxyla late (I) was prepared from trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline with (2S,4R)-abs olute configuration as starting material. (2S,4S)-1-allyloxycarbonyl-2-(2-ethoxycarbonyl-hydroxy(methoxy )iminoethyl)-4-mercapto- pyrrolidines (6,7) were obtained from the tritylthio compound (I). (lR,5S,6S)-6-[(lR)-1-hydroxyethyl]-2-[(3S,5S)-5-(2-ethoxycarbonyl-1-methoxy(hydroxy)imino-ethyl)pyrrolidine-3-ylthio]-1-methylcarbapem-2-em-3-carboxylic acids (10a,10b) were obtained by the coupling reaction with carbapenem diphenylphosphates (8) and pyrrolidine-thiol moiety (6,7). Their in vitro antibacterial activities against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative were tested. Compounds ( 10a,10b) showed potent antibacterial activity except pseudomonas aerusinosa.

Effect of Photoperiod Considering Animal Welfare for Growth Ability and Blood Properties in Broiler Chicks (동물복지를 고려한 점등시간이 육계 병아리의 성장 능력 및 혈액 성상에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of three different photoperiods on growth performance, blood properties, and stress indicators in broiler chicks between 1-7 days after hatching. Two hundred and fifty-two 1-day-old male broiler chicks (57.0±0.12 g) were divided into three treatments, with 4 replicates per treatment and 22 birds per replicate subjected to three different photoperiods of 24L, 22L/2D and 18L/6D. A light-emitting diode bulb served as the light source, with an illuminance of 30 lx. As an experimental diet, a commercial feed based on a corn-soybean meal, with 22% CP and 3,150 kcal/kg ME diet, and water were fed ad libitum. Body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and liver weight ratio showed a statistically significant difference between the 18L/6D and 24L treatments (P<0.05), but with no significant difference between the 22L/2D treatment and either the 24L or 18L/6D treatment. The breast meat ratio was 5.59% in the 18L/6D treatment group, which was lower than that of other treatment groups (P<0.05). The triglyceride levels were highest (P<0.05) in the 18L/6D treatment among treatments, but alanine aminotransferase levels were significantly higher (P<0.05) in the 22L/2D treatment than in the 24L treatment. Levels of cytokines, i.e., Interleukin-6 and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α did not show a significant difference among the treatments, but corticosterone content was significantly higher (P<0.05) in the 24L treatment than in the 18L/6D treatment. In conclusion, 22 hours of lighting is appropriate between 1~7 days after hatching, considering growth performance and the overall health of broiler chicks.

  • Nutrient removal hybrid process to use suspended and attached growth microorganisms and apply the contact and stabilization process was process obtaining good results to HRT within 6 hours to dominate nitrifier and to promote separation and growth of autotrophs and heterotrophs to pack with EPS(Expanded Poly-Styrene) media in nitrification reactor. An average effluent quality of this process was below 5.2 mg/L, 7.3 mg/L, 4.9 mg/L as $BOD_5,\;COD_{Mn}$, SS concentration and 6.8 mg/L, 0.6 mg/L as T-N, T-P concentration. Also, An average removal efficiency of this process was 94.6%, 79.8%, 94.9% as $BOD_5,\;COD_{Mn}$, SS and 70.8%, 76.9% as T-N, T-P. 16S-rRNA analysis result of microorganisms attached to EPS media was researched Nitrosomonas and Nitrosococcus blown to ammonia-oxidizing bacteria cluster to include Gallionella and these microorganisms were researched to involve about 6% of biofilm attached EPS media. Consequently, this process was treated below 10 mg/L and 1.0mg/L as T-N, T-P concentration at short hydraulic retention time(about 6 hr) to dominate nitrifier.

Runoff Characteristics of Non-point Source Pollutants in Cherry Tree cultivation zone (벚나무재배지의 비점오염물질 유출특성)

  • 본 연구에서는 기타재배지(벚나무재배지)에서 발생하는 비점오염물질 유출 및 수질특성을 살펴보고자 2014년 5월부터 9월까지의 총 12회의 강우사상에 대해 유출특성을 분석하고 오염물질별 유량가중평균농도(Event Mean Concentration, EMC) 및 오염부하를 산정하였다. 모니터링 기간동안 2.6~95.8 mm의 강우가 발생하였으며, 조사된 총 12회의 event 중 단 2회 유출이 발생하였다. 강우강도는 0.33~5.28 mm/hr의 범위로 나타났으며, 선행무강우일수는 0.6~21.2일, 총 유출량은 $0.92{\sim}20.75m^3$, 유출율은 0.03~0.18의 범위로 나타났다. 강우모니터링 결과, EMC는 TOC 3.4~10.3 mg/L(평균 6.9 mg/L), BOD 6.3~6.9 mg/L(평균 6.6 mg/L), COD 22.0~28.8 mg/L(평균 25.4 mg/L), SS 101.8~962.8 mg/L(평균 532.3 mg/L), T-N 4.295~11.864 mg/L(평균 8.080 mg/L) 그리고 T-P 1.109~1.582 mg/L(평균 1.346 mg/L)의 범위로 나타났으며, 각 강우사상에 대한 단위면적당 오염부하는 TOC 0.08~0.58 kg/ha, BOD5 0.05~1.07kg/ha, CODMn 0.22~3.76 kg/ha, SS 0.77~164.4 kg/ha, T-N 0.090~0.734 kg/ha, T-P 0.008~0.270 kg/ha의 범위로 산정되었다. 벚나무재배지의 수질 항목간 Pearson 상관계수를 분석한 결과, 항목 중 $COD_{Mn}$가 다른 수질항목과 유의성을 갖고 높은 상관관계가 나타나 초기유출효과 분석을 위한 대표 수질항목으로 선정하였다. 벚나무재배지의 경우 초기유출 발생에 의한 오염부하의 급격한 증가는 나타나지 않았으며, 누적오염부하량비의 그래프에서는 대부분의 강우사상에서 기울기가 직선에 가깝게 나타났다. 기타재배지의 경우 대부분 투수지역으로 초기세척효과가 비교적 작은 것으로 나타났으며, 지속적으로 오염물질을 배출하는 특성을 보이는 것으로 분석되었다.

Serological Study on Leptospirosis in Dairy Cattle (젖소의 Leptospira균에 대한 혈청학적 조사)

  • This experiment was performed to investigate the leptospiral antibody in dairy cattle with serological test in three areas of Kangwondo from February to June, 1995. Twelve different living antigen's (S icterohemorrhagiae, Lpomona, L hardjo, L australis, L canicola, L autumnalis, L grippotyphosa, L tarassovi, L pyroenes, L bataviae, L hebdomadis and L ballum) of Leptospira interrogans were used for the serological test in dairy cattle. The blood samples of 130 cattle were examinde by microscopic agglutination test. Among the serum samples of the dairy cattle, 5 heads of the dairy cattle (3.8%) were positive. Among the positive samples of 5 heads, 3 heads of dairy cattle (2.3%) showed the antibody of L canicola, 2 heads of dairy cattle (1.5%) showed the antibody of L icterohaemorrhagiae. Positive rate by age was 0% ($\leq $2year), 4.6% (3~4year) and 6.6% ($\geq $5year).

Prevalence of Leptospiral Antibodies in Sows (모돈에서의 Leptospira속균에 대한 혈중항체조사)

  • A serological survey was conducted to detect the type of Leptospirosis in sows. Antigen(live antigen) tested were L.icterohemorrhagiae, L.pomonal, L.canicola, L.Hardjo, L.australis, L.autumnalis, L.grippotyphosa, L.pyrogens, L.bataviae, L.hebdomadis. The survey was performed from J one 1992 to December 1992 by microscopic-agglutination test. The results were as follows 1, Among the serum samples of 92 heads of the sows, 6 heads of the sow(6.5%) were positive. 2. Among the positive samples of 6 heads, L.icterihemorrhagiae were 4 heads(4.3%) and L. pomona 2 heads (2.2%), respectively. 3. Antibody titers of positive sera were ranging from 1:200 to 1:1600. 4. The seroprevalence of leptospira in Chechon city, Chechon county, Danyang county that Chechon county(3.3%) was higher than that of other districts(1% -2.2%).

Effects of Planting Soil on the Soil Moisture and the Growth of Vitex rotundifolia for Green Roof (옥상녹화 식재지반이 토양수분과 순비기나무의 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focuses on the appropriate planting soil for Vitex rotundifolia by planting soil. Different soil depth levels were achieved at 15cm and 25cm in the green roof module system that was created with woody materials for a $500{\times}500{\times}300mm$ area. The soil mixture ratio was $S_{10}$, $L_{10}$, $S_7L_3$, $S_5L_5$, $P_7P_1L_2$, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$. This study was carried out over five months between April and September, 2006. The amount of soil moisture tends to decrease according to the planting soil. For the experimental items $S_{10}$, $S_7L_3$ and $S_5L_5$, the amount of soil moisture tends to decrease rapidly. However, for the experimental items $P_7P_1L_2$, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$, conditions containing perlite and peat moss, the amount of moisture tends to decrease more gradually. As a result, the use of soil-improving amending for the afforestation planting of roofs with a low level of management is need. After experimenting with the ratio of soil mixture for Vitex rotundifolia, the planting soil for experimental item $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$ appeared excellent. For experimental item $S_{10}$, the growth of Vitex rotundifolia seemed to be weaker than that of others, because of the low levels of moisture and organic matter in the soil. For experimental item $L_{10}$, there appeared to be a low level of growth, even when the levels of moisture and organic matter were high. This may have occurred because of the low level of soil pH and the excessive amount of exchangeable cation. At the depth of 25cm, the growth of Vitex rotundifolia is vigorous overall. For experimental item at 15cm, Vitex rotundifolia was able to survive for 14 days without any rainfall and Vitex rotundifolia was better in amended soil, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$, than natural soil, SL.

물상추를 이용한 중금속 제거에 관한 연구

  • 물상추에 의한 Pb 제거효율은 96시간 동안 0.5 mg/L 일 때 71.4%, 1mg/L일 때 65.6%, 1.5 mg/L일 때 81.2%로 나타났으며, 0.5 mg/L 일 때 24시간만에 24.6%로 가장 높은 제거효율을 나타냈다. 또한 농도가 높아질수록 높은 제거효율을 나타냈다. $Cr^{6+}$ 의 제거효율은 높은 농도에서 시간이 지날수록 제거효율이 높아졌다각 수조별 pH 변화는 전반적으로 높아지는 경향을 보였고 Pb의 경우는 1.5 mg/L에서 96시간 동안 6.7에서 7.73으로 가장 큰 변화를 보였다. 수온을 23 ~ 26$^{\circ}C$로 유지하면서 물상추의 비성장율을 살펴본 결과 Pb의 경우 1.5mg/L에서 24시간만에 0.046g $day^{-1}$에서 96시간 후에는 1.5 mg/L에서 0.114 g $day^{-1}$로 가장 높은 성장을 보였으며 $Cr^{6+}$ 의 경우도 1 mg/L에서 24시간 후에 0.0l2g $day^{-1}$에서 96시간 후에는 0.5 mg/L에서 0.07g $day^{-1}$로 가장 높은 성장률을 보였다. 중금속 수조의 $NH_3-N$, $NO_3$-N, T-P 제거효율을 보면 $NH_3-N$는 전체적으로 50%이상의 높은 제거효율을 보여 영양원으로서의 흡수가능성을 보였고 $NO_3$-N와 T-P의 경우는 전체적으로 낮은 제거효율을 보였다.

Electrolyte Contents of Serum and Rumen Juice in Korean Native Goats (한국재래산양(韓國在來山羊)의 혈청(血淸)과 제일위액(第一胃液)의 전해질치(電解質値)에 관하여)

  • Fourteen Korean native goats were examined to obtain physiological basic data on electrolyte contents in serum and rumen juice. In addition, pH and total number of ciliates in the rumen juice were investigated. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The serum $Na^+$, $K^+$ and $Cl^-$ levels were $151.9{\pm}4.5(145-160)mEq/l$, $8.1{\pm}1.5(5.3-10.0)mEq/l$ and $104.6{\pm}4.6(99-112)mEq/l$, respectively. 2. $Na^+$, $K^+$ and $Cl^-$ values in the rumen juice were $104.7{\pm}15.8(70-131)mEq/l$, $38.2{\pm}9.9(18-58)mEq/l$ and $14.1{\pm}4.3(8-24)mEq/l$, respectively. 3. The pH of the rumen juice was $5.6{\pm}0.3(5.3-6.5)$ and the total number of ciliates were $2.59{\pm}0.8(0.64-3.29){\times}10^6/ml$.
