To assess the wetland systems' capability to reduce fine dust, we used an artificial wetland module of small-sized greenhouse (70cm W × 70cm L × 60cm H) which creates a closed system. Experiment was performed twice using four species in each experiment. Non-plantation, one species, or two species condition was created in each mesocosm. We measured air quality, primarily PM2.5 and PM10 at the initial open mesocosms and 1hr later since mesocosms were closed. The dry weight of vegetation was measured at the 2nd experiment. The decreased amount of PM2.5 and PM10 was 13.7±1.3 and 13.2±1.3 ㎍·m-3hr-1 in wetland condition and 15.0±1.4 and 13.8±1.5 ㎍·m-3hr-1 in dryland condition, respectively. In 2nd experiment, the decreased amount of PM 2.5 and PM 10 in wetland condition was 13.7±1.3 and 9.2±1.5 ㎍·m-3hr-1, 15.0±1.4 and 8.8±1.4 ㎍·m-3hr-1 in dryland condition, respectively. Wetland showed higher removal effect due to its high productivity leading to more effective absorption of particulate matter. Furthermore, the aquatic characteristics of wetland system and high humidity helped purifying the air quality. This can be seen as another value of wetlands, which can be presented as one of the solutions to the problem of fine dust.

Tubers(4-5cm diameter) of Zantedeschia 'Black Magic' were used to study the induction of flowering in GA3 soaking times and concentration. The GA3 soaking were 10 seconds and 30 minutes at the GA3 concentrations of 50, 100, 250, and 500 mg·L1. The time to emergence in GA3 treatment were 1.1~4.0 days shorter than control Growth characteristics were good in GA3 treatment but that was no significance in GA3 soaking time and concentration. When GA3 soaking time and concentration were increased, days to flowering was shorter, but flower stalk length, flower stalk width, flower length, flower width were no difference. The number of flower per tuber was most as 4.0~4.3 in 250~500 mg·L1 GA3 concentration and that was about 2 times compared to control. The normal flower ratio and bulb enlargement were similar compared with GA3 soaking time and concentration. GA3 250~500 mg·L1 treatment is necessary for improvement of number of flowers per bulb.

Microcystins (MCs) are cyano-toxins mainly produced by cyanobacteria in the genera of Microcystis, Anabaena, and Oscillatoria. The concentrations of MCs in the water bodies and fish tissues taken from the four weirs (Ipo, Gangjeong-goryeong, Baekje, and Juksan) in the four main rivers in Korea, and the health risk of human due to consumption of toxin-detected fish was examined. The maximum values of MCs concentration in the water samples were as follows: Juksan (3.261 ㎍ L-1), Gangjeong-goryeong (1.014 ㎍ L-1), Baekje (0.759 ㎍ L-1), and Ipo (0.266 ㎍ L-1) weirs. The MC-RR concentration was the highest among the MCs, and MC-YR was not detected. MCs of 0.222~9.808 ㎍ g-1 dry weight were detected in the liver of 3 out of 215 fishes of 16 species, and below the detection limit in muscle. As a result of comparing the feeding characteristics of the collected fishes and toxin concentrations in water and fish tissue, it was concluded that the biomagnification of MCs through the food chain did not occur. It was judged that there was no health risk due to the consumption of the fish detected the toxin, based on the amount of the fish intake of the Korean people and the allowable daily intake of MCs. However, in order to reduce the health risk due to MCs, further studies should be conducted to analyze the concentration of MCs contained in fish tissues collected at various times in the area dominated by harmful cyanobacteria to obtain data on the exposure of MCs due to fish consumption. In addition, it is necessary to establish the management guidelines for MCs in fish tissues.
The analytical method of lead in plasma by ICP-MS was validated after securing environment within class 1,000 classification. We tested specificity and accuracy of within-run and between-run. According to measurement of the amount of suspended particulates in a clean room, 0.3~62 particles were detected in 0.3 µm size while 0.0~28.3 particles were observed in 0.5 µm size. Total suspended particulates met required environment with up to 90.3 particles. The MDL (Method detection limit) of the sample which has been fabricated using fetal bovine serum (FBS) blank was 1.77 ng/L, and LOQ (Limit of quantification) was 5.55 ng/L. The slope, intercept and correlation coefficient of the calibration curve were y=1.09×10−3x+4.88×10−2 and r=0.9999, which showed good correlation. The specificity, within-run and between-run accuracy satisfied the standard at more than 50 ng/L. The average lead concentration in plasma of the general people, current workers and retired workers was 55.4 ng/L, 440 ng/L, and 132 ng/L.
$Y_3A_{l5}O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Pr^{3+}$ single crystal phosphor was prepared by floating zone method. single crystal was confirmed to have a Ia-3d (230) space group of cubic structure and showed regular morphology. The optical properties, single crystal exhibited a emission band from green, yellow wide wavelength and 610nm, 640nm red wavelength vicinity. The luminance maintenance rate was decreased by phonon with increasing temperature, but high luminance is maintained more than powder phosphor. In addition, $Y_3A_{l5}O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Pr^{3+}$ single crystal phosphor was applied to a high power blue laser diode, we implemented high power white laser lightings. and it was confirmed that thermal properties over time, due to the effective heat transfer of complete crystal structure. We confirmed that excellent radiant heat properties than powder phosphor was applied to a high power white laser diode.
Fine dust threatens human health in various forms, depending on the particle size, such as by causing respiratory, cardiovascular, and brain diseases, after entering the body via the lungs. The aim of this study was to correlate fine dust exposure with changes in brain blood flow in Sprague Dawley rats by using micro-positron emission tomography and elucidate the possibility of developing cerebrovascular diseases caused by fine dust. The subjects were exposured to an average fine dust (particulate matter 2.5) of 206.2 ± 7.74 to ten rats four times a day, twice a day for 90 min. Before the experiment, they were maintained at NPO to the maximize the intake of 18F-fluorodeoxy glucose(18F-FDG) and minimize changes in the 18F-FDG biomass depending on the ambient environment and body temperature of the rats. PET images were acquired in the list mode 40 min after injecting 18F-FDG 44.4 MBq into the rats tail vein using a micro-PET scanner pre and post exposure to fine dust. We found that the whole brain level of 18F-FDG standardized uptake value in rats averaged 5.21 ± 0.52 g/mL pre and 4.22 ± 0.48 g/mL post exposure to fine dust, resulting in a statistically significant difference. Fine dust was able to alter brain activity after entering the body via the lungs in various forms depending on the particle size.
Let j be a nonnegative integer. We define the Toeplitz-type operators T(j)a with symbol a ∈ L∞(C), which are variants of the traditional Toeplitz operators obtained for j = 0. In this paper, we study the boundedness of these operators and characterize their compactness in terms of its Berezin transform.

In this paper, we derive the Γ-limit of functionals pertaining to some optimal material distribution problems that involve a variable exponent, as the exponent goes to infinity. In addition, we prove a relaxation result for supremal optimal design functionals with respect to the weak-∗ L∞(Ω; [0, 1])× W1,p0 (Ω;ℝm) weak topology.

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze diurnal thermal environments using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV)-derived physical parameters(NDVI, SVF) and ENVI-met modeling. The research findings revealed significant correlations, with a significance level of 1%, between UAV-derived NDVI, SVF, and thermal environment elements such as S↑, S↓, L↓, L↑, Land Surface Temperature(LST), and Tmrt. In particular, NDVI showed a strong negative correlation with S↑, reaching a minimum of -0.52** at 12:00, and exhibited a positive correlation of 0.53** or higher with L↓ at all times. A significant negative correlation of -0.61** with LST was observed at 13:00, suggesting the high relevance of NDVI to long-wavelength radiation. Regarding SVF, the results showed a strong relationship with long-wave radiative flux, depending on the SVF range. These research findings offer an integrated approach to evaluating thermal comfort and microclimates in urban areas. Furthermore, they can be applied to understand the impact of urban design and landscape characteristics on pedestrian thermal comfort.
Objectives : These present study was designed to investigate the relaxation effects of Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus(AOF) on isolated corpus cavernosum smooth muscle. Methods : Rabbit corpus cavernous tissues were prepared in strip. Then relaxation responses of AOF at 0.01-3 ㎎/㎖ in contracted strips induced by phenylephrine(PE) were measured. To evaluate mechanisms, indomethacin(IM) tetraethylammonium chloride(TEA), Nω-nitro-L-arginine(L-NNA), methylene blue(MB) were treated before AOF extract(0.1-3 ㎎/㎖) infused into precontracted strips induced by PE. And 1 mM Ca2+was infused into precontracted strips after pretreatment of AOF extract(3 ㎎/㎖) in Ca2+-free krebs-ringer solution. NO concentration was measured by Griess reagent system. Ratio of smooth muscles to collagen fibers and eNOS positive reaction were measured by histocheminal and immunohistochemical process. Results : The cavernous strips were significantly relaxed by AOF extract 0.1, 0.3, 1, 3 ㎎/㎖ and the pretreatment with IM 10 μM,L-NNA 100 μM, MB 10 μM inhibited relaxation of AOF compared to non-pretreatment, but the pretreatment with TEA 100 μM didn't affect relaxation of AOF. In a Ca2+-free solution, pretreatment with AOF reduced increase on contraction of strips by Ca2+supply than non-pretreatment. On HUVEC, NO concentration was increased. On corpus cavernosum of penis in Spontaneous Hypertensive Rat, ratio of smooth muscles to collagen fibers and eNOS positive reaction in AOF group were increased compared to PE groupConclusions : Taken this results, we can suggest that AOF extract exerts a relaxation effects on rabbit corpus cavernosum smooth muscle in part by suppressing influx of extracellular Ca2+throughout prostacyclin, the NO-cGMP system.
