  • Quality Assurance is a system of activities whose purpose is to provide assurance that the over all quality control job is in fact being done effectively. In this paper, we tried to develop the fundamental quality assurance procedures that can be applicable to the new-product design stage, to the production stage and to the after-sales stage of the production system.

An Efficient Cloud Service Quality Performance Management Method Using a Time Series Framework (시계열 프레임워크를 이용한 효율적인 클라우드서비스 품질·성능 관리 방법)

  • Cloud service has the characteristic that it must be always available and that it must be able to respond immediately to user requests. This study suggests a method for constructing a proactive and autonomous quality and performance management system to meet these characteristics of cloud services. To this end, we identify quantitative measurement factors for cloud service quality and performance management, define a structure for applying a time series framework to cloud service application quality and performance management for proactive management, and then use big data and artificial intelligence for autonomous management. The flow of data processing and the configuration and flow of big data and artificial intelligence platforms were defined to combine intelligent technologies. In addition, the effectiveness was confirmed by applying it to the cloud service quality and performance management system through a case study. Using the methodology presented in this study, it is possible to improve the service management system that has been managed artificially and retrospectively through various convergence. However, since it requires the collection, processing, and processing of various types of data, it also has limitations in that data standardization must be prioritized in each technology and industry.

  • Quality is the core competence for customer satisfaction in current competitive business environments. The manufacturing companies regard the quality as the success factor in enhancing competitiveness and foremost concept of the management innovation. But in many cases, the basis for the quality management and the action programs are not prepared yet. In construction industry, normally schedule and cost have priority over quality and the level of overall quality is relatively lower than other industries. This is caused by the vague quality goal and result-oriented management. This study suggests the quality performance indicators for measuring performance objectively, and develops the continuous quality monitoring system based on those indicators. By using this system, the quality improvement can be expected and corporate quality competitiveness can be ensured.

  • This study is to devide seven subject organs in the metropolitan area by the Malcolm Baldrige's basis which is global standard of management quality to grip the each activities of management quality, to conduct a survey of the management quality of each organ or persons in charge of similar works. Generally, those surveyed show to recognize on the management quality and to apply to real work. Those surveyed show to be able to improve positively quality and service level in case of appling to work of management quality, and to be positive reaction on the contribution about management performance. This study indicates the predominant view which the researcher have to establish the its vision clearly and to promote in a lump success factors of management quality, and the chief executive have to take a firm faith for it. This study also suggest that recognizing positively about its vision and strategy about present condition of management quality activities is one of the implements which not only judge but also establish a good system of an organization. And there has a significant difference between Public and Private Organizations that those evaluate management quality conducts better management performance. However management quality activities shows to mostly agree to be influencing positively to management performance.

  • Load Duration Curve (LDC) can be used as a method for load management of point and non-point pollution source because the LDC easily assesses the water quality corresponding to hydrological changes in a watershed. Recently, the application of LDC to total pollution load management is a growing interest in Korea. In this regard, A desktop-based LDC assessment system was developed in this study to provide convenience to users in water quality evaluation. The developed system can simply produce the LDC by using streamflow and water quality data involved in its database. Also, The system can quantitatively inform the success or failure of the achievement for a target water quality at monthly scale. Furthermore, seasonal water quality and point/non-point pollution load in a watershed can be estimated by this system. We expect that the developed system will contribute to establish local and national policies regarding water management and total pollution load management because of its advantages such as the pollution tracking investigation and the analysis of water quality and pollution loading amount in an ungauged watershed.

  • The purpose of this study Is to develop water quality management system fort a farm village stream. The framework design of the system and the ecological monitoring of a test watershed were carried out, The system consists of GIS(Geographic Information System ), database, pollution source management, water quality and hydrologic analysis. Suri watershed located on Idong, Yongin city, Kyunggi Province, was selected as the test watershed for the application of the system. The fifteen's monitoring stations were chooses at up- and down-stream of the watershed. The results of an aquatic ecological monitoring were analyzed by the GPI(Group Pollution Index) method. The GPI revealed that water quality was varied within the stream. GPI and DO map for the watershed stream were developed, These maps facilitated to analyze the spatial distribution of the water quality.

Improving the Quality of Customer Service of Electrical Power Supply using an Integrated Outage Management System

  • An Integrated Outage Management System (IOMS) is a utility owned, centralized information system. Using the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) methodology, the IOMS integrates different databases and components of outage management systems to improve the quality of service of electrical power to customers. This paper describes the development of an IOMS and its related utility functionality. The design considerations, salient features, component integration, functional aspects, and implementation issues of the IOMS are discussed. Evidence shows that the IOMS implementation would result in improving the overall quality of electric power supply and effective outage management significantly.

  • A business is nothing more than a collection of people. To assure the Quality of the business's items and services, it is essential to assure that those people are properly trained and motivated. This paper outlines the problems and difficulties encountered in implementing a formal quality education system on a business and also provides a guide to the useful references which should be considered in quality education system. The concluding section describes the effective methods of quality education to achieve successful quality management.

  • ISO 9000 family of standards are consisted of four international standards for implementing and operating effective quality management systems. They are interrelated and together form a coherent set of quality management system standards. ISO 9000, one of the standards, contains quality management principles, which is asserted to form the basis of other standards within the family. ISO 9001 is another standard within the family and contains requirements for quality management systems. This paper shows how the quality management principles of ISO 9000 are related with the requirements of ISO 9001.

  • This study was designed to analyze the relationship of process quality, result quality and management performance in Korean insurance industry. For this study the linkage scheme of service quality concept is used on PZB model and BSC(Balances Score Card) system. In the linkage model, the 5 service qualitry factors used in PZB model are used as the result quality variables, and internal process factor, learning/growth factor in BSC are used the process quality variables affecting the result quality variables. And also customer satisfation factor and financial performance index are used as the management performance variables. In the ivsurance industry, the process quality variables were verified to meaningfully affect the result quality variables, and the result service quality variables were verified to affect the management performance indices. As the result, the process quality and the service quality must be emhanced for the competitiveness of Korean insurance industry.
