  • Spermine은 DNase 1에 대한 native 및 denatured calf thymus DNA의 susceptibility에 상반된 효과를 갖는다. spermine은 그 native DNA의 susceptibility를 증가시키지만 그 denatured DNA의 것은 감소 시킨다. spermine이 존재하지 않을 경우에는 그 deoxyribonuclease의 반응성은 native 및 denatured DNA의 conformation차이에 외견상 무감각한 것으로 나타난다.

비원어민 한국어 말하기 숙련도 평가와 평가항목의 상관관계 (Correlation analysis of linguistic factors in non-native Korean speech and proficiency evaluation)

  • Much research attention has been directed to identify how native speakers perceive non-native speakers' oral proficiency. To investigate the generalizability of previous findings, this study examined segmental, phonological, accentual, and temporal correlates of native speakers' evaluation of L2 Korean proficiency produced by learners with various levels and nationalities. Our experiment results show that proficiency ratings by native speakers significantly correlate not only with rate of speech, but also with the segmental accuracies. The influence of segmental errors has the highest correlation with the proficiency of L2 Korean speech. We further verified this finding within substitution, deletion, insertion error rates. Although phonological accuracy was expected to be highly correlated with the proficiency score, it was the least influential measure. Another new finding in this study is that the role of pitch and accent has been underemphasized so far in the non-native Korean speech perception studies. This work will serve as the groundwork for the development of automatic assessment module in Korean CAPT system.

조사료원에 따른 한국 재래산양의 채식습성에 관한 연구 (A study on the food habits of Korean native goats fed with roughage sources)

  • The object of this experiment was to investigate the food habits of Korean native goats fed with various roughage sources. The experimental trials were conducted at Unbong Animal Genetic Resources Station in 2008. The experimental roughages include five sources and 25 species in all; grasses and legumes: 5 species (mixed grasses, orchardgrass, tall fescue, alfalfa, white clover), native grasses and weeds: 5 species (mixed native grasses, Miscanthus sinensis Anderss, Arundinella hirta (Thunb.) Tanaka, Barnyard grass, short awn, forage crops and straw: 5 species (barley + hairy vetch, wheat + hairy vetch, rye silage, barley silage, baled rice straw), browse and fallen leaves: 5 species (Mixed browse, Oriental white oak, Quercus serrta Thunb., Oriental cherry fallen leaves, Japanese chestnut fallen leaves), and imported hay and straw: 5 species(timothy hay, tall fescue straw, annual ryegrass straw, klinegrass hay, alfalfa hay). Ten Korean native goats were selected which had nearly the same body weight (average $24{\pm}2.8$ kg). The chemical composition and dry matter digestibility of each roughage source and species were significantly different at the sampling area, plant species, growth stages and cutting period (p<0.05). Among all the 25 species of roughages, the favorite intake species order by Korean native goat was observed like this: Quercus aliena, Querancas serrta Thunb and Mixed browse, which was a lower intake compared to other domestic herbivores. The Korean native goats ate more roughages which had low fibrous contents, but high dry matter digestibility. On the other hand, compared to each roughage source, total intake amount by Korean native goats was showed as browse and fallen leaves (33.1%) among trials roughage sources. Based on these results, the food habit of Korean native goats seems to be closer to the browser.

재래종과 개량종 돼지고기의 영양성분 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Nutritional Composition of Native and Hybrid Pork in Korea)

  • 재래종 돼지고기는 우리 고유의 돈육으로서 보존의 의미가 있을 뿐만 아니라 최근 고기의 육질과 맛에 대한 소비자의 기호가 증가하는 추세이다. 본 연구는 재래종과 개량종 돼지고기의 등, 배, 다리의 세 부분을 시료로 하여 몇 가지의 영양성분 함량을 조사하여 품질을 비교하고자 하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1 일반성분 중 수분 함량은 60.82%~72.08%로서 재래종에 비하여 개량종에서 많았으며, 단백질 함량은 재래종의 등 부위에서 19.71%로서 가장 많았고, 개량종의 다리부위에서 13.14%로서 가장 적었다. 조 지방 함량은 개량종의 배 부위에서 34.44%로 가장 많았고, 개량종의 다리부위에서는 2.33%로서 가장 적었으며, 탄수화물함량은 재래종의 배 부위가 13.28%로 가장 많았고, 회분함량은 재래종이 개량종보다 많았다. 2. 무기성분 중 Mg, Fe의 함량은 모든 부위에서 재래종이 개량종보다 많았으며 특히 Fe이 현저하였다. K과Na은 그다지 차이가 적었으나 P은 재래종 다리부위에서 개량종보다 많았다. 3. 총 유리아미노산의 함량은 부위별로는 다리부위가 많았고 재래종(12.27mg)이 개량종(11.22mg)에서보다 많았다. 유리아미노산 조성 중 감칠맛 성분 함량은 재래종의 다리부위에서 개량종보다 약 1.8배 이상 많았으며, 단맛 성분도 재래종의 등 부위에서 가장 많았다. 4 콜레스테롤 함량은 재래종의 등, 배 부위에서 개량종보다 적었으나 다리부위는 재래종(789.32$\mu\textrm{g}$)이 개량종 (538.84$\mu\textrm{g}$)보다 많았다(p< .01).

전북지역 향토음식에 대한 대학생의 인지도 및 기호도에 관한 연구 (Recognition and Preference of Native Local Foods by University Students in Chonbuk Area)

  • This study investigated the recognition and preference of native local foods in area by students living in Jeonju. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SPSS 10.0 program. The recognition of native local foods was generally poor: Among 56 kinds of native foods only Jeonjubibimbab, Jeonjukongnamulkukbob and Sunsoonsabockbunjasul were highly recognized, whereas the other native foods (such as Pungchyunjangaguvi. Namwonchuatang, Jeonjukongnamulkukbob, Sunsoonsabockbunjasul, Pungchyunjangaguyi, Namwonchuatang, Minmulgokiajuk etc.) were very poorly recognized by students. About $48.6\%$ of the students acquired the knowledge on cooking the native local foods from their mother or grandmother. About half of the students had eaten the native local foods in a restaurant, but not at home. The reasons to eat the native local foods were 'curiosity', 'favorite' and 'consider about health and nutrition'. The most common frequency of consumption of the native foods by the students was once a month($24.0\%$). However $74.9\%$ of the students did not eat local foods because they did not have a opportunity to eat them. About $49.1\%$ of the students responded that the 'unknown cooking method' was an important problem for the further development for native local foods. Most of the students($97.3\%$) responded, somewhat hypocritically, that native local foods were a very important part of our culture, so they must be maintained. In conclusion, the further development of native local foods was dependent on the cooperation with different institutions (e.g. marketing of local mass media, local events, family education).

한국 재래계의 난 형질에 관한 연구 (Studies on Various Egg Traits of Korean Native Chicken)

  • 본 연구는 한국 재래계의 난질 개량을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 수행하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 재래계는 개량계(Decalb Brown)에 비하여 난중, 난황중, 농후난백중, 수양난백중, 난각중 등이 가벼웠으나(P<0.01), 난중비는 차이가 없었다(P>0.05). 2. 재래계는 개량계에 비하여 난각 형질에서 변이계수가 낮았으며, 이는 환경 적응성이 재래계에서 높음을 시사해 주고 있다. 3. 재래계와 개량계 공히 난중, 난황중, 농후난백중, 수양난백중, 그리고 난각중 간의 표현상관이 높았고(P<0.01), 특히 재래계에서 0.842~0.992 로 높아서, 난중 개량에 의한 간접 선발의 효과가 클 것으로 기대되었다. 4. 난각두께에서 재래계와 개량계가 각각 362.5와 407.9 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 로서 차이가 있었다(P<0.01). 5. 재래계는 개량계에 비하여 난의 각 형질에서 회귀계수가 공히 낮게 나타나서 난중개량과 동시에 난각 형질의 개량이 요구되었다.

원어민과 비원어민의 영어 전설 고모음 /i, ɪ/ 발화에 나타나는 운율 강화 현상 (Effects of Prosodic Strengthening on the Production of English High Front Vowels /i, ɪ/ by Native vs. Non-Native Speakers)

  • This study investigated how acoustic characteristics (i.e., duration, F1, F2) of English high front vowels /i, ɪ/ are modulated by boundary- and prominence-induced strengthening in native vs. non-native (Korean) speech production. The study also examined how the durational difference in vowels due to the voicing of a following consonant (i.e., voiced vs. voiceless) is modified by prosodic strengthening in two different (native vs. non-native) speaker groups. Five native speakers of Canadian English and eight Korean learners of English (intermediate-advanced level) produced 8 minimal pairs with the CVC sequence (e.g., 'beat'-'bit') in varying prosodic contexts. Native speakers distinguished the two vowels in terms of duration, F1, and F2, whereas non-native speakers only showed durational differences. The two groups were similar in that they maximally distinguished the two vowels when the vowels were accented (F2, duration), while neither group showed boundary-induced strengthening in any of the three measurements. The durational differences due to the voicing of the following consonant were also maximized when accented. The results are discussed further in terms of phonetics-prosody interface in L2 production.

토종꿀의 가공과 저장 중 품질 특성의 변화 (Physical and chemical changes during processing and preservation of Korean native-bee honey at different temperature)

  • Quality changes of Korean native-bee honey were investigated during processing and preseration at different temperature. There were no changes of HMF(Hydroxy methyl furfural) and proline contents, color and diastase activity in Korean native-bee honey, when the honey separated from honey combs at 20$^{\circ}C$ and 40$^{\circ}C$. However, at 50 and 80$^{\circ}C$, browning of Korean native-bee honey was shown, HMF content was increased rapidly and proline content and diastase activity were decreased. There were no changes of chemical composition in Korean native-bee honey during storage at 4$^{\circ}C$ for 6 months. But color was darken and HMF content was increased slowly in Korean native-bee honey during storage at 20$^{\circ}C$. During storage at 30$^{\circ}C$ and 40$^{\circ}C$, HMF content was increased highly, proline content, diastase activity and total acidity was decreased rapidly. It is recommended that Korean native-bee honey is separated from honey comb and purified at less than 40$^{\circ}C$ and stored at 4$^{\circ}C$ through 20$^{\circ}C$.

한우의 주요 조직 적합성 항원 규명 (Characterization of major histocompatibility complex antigen on Korean native cattles)

  • The characterization of the MHC of domestic animals may constitute a first step towards increasing the efficiency of food production through improved disease resistance. In order to study the role of the MHC in regulating immune response it is first necessary to identify the different MHC alleles. In this research we try to investigate the possible associations between BoLA of Korean native cattles and infectious cattle disease. For this purpose we used one approach, serology. The results were summarized as follows : 1. Korean native cattle's lymphocyte reacted with alloantisera which recognized seven official BoLA allele. Korean native cattle's lymphocytes were reacted same as European breeds(especially with 673/3(W20)). 2. Korean native cattle's lymphocytes reacted with alloantisera 773/2, 673/3, 638/3, 773/3, 602/2, 639/2 and 639/3 at high reaction frequency. But alloantisera 642/1 was not expressed on Korean native cattle. If this allele, recognized by alloantisera(642/1), officially certificate In BoLA workshop it will be characterization factor of Korean native cattle. 3. According to cellular similarity index, we can presume on genetic relativity which has no family relationship.

야생화 도입 초지에서 생산된 초류의 질소 및 에너지 이용성 비교 (A Comparative Study on the Intake, Digestibility, Nitrogen and Energy Utilization of Sward from Wildflower Pasture by Korean Native Goats)

  • To access the feeding value of the herbage produced from the wildflower pasture, DM intake, digestibility and utilization of nitrogen and energy of herbages by Korean native goats were determined. The experimental herbage included two treatments: Conventional pasture(forage 6 species), wildflower pasture(turf grass 6 species + native wildflower 11 species + introduced wildflower 9 species). The voluntary DM intake of Korean native goats fed with herbages harvested from conventional pasture was higher than that from wildflower pasture(p<0.05). The digestibility of DM, NDF and ADF from conventional pasture was slightly higher than that of wildflower pasture, but no significant difference was observed(p>0.05). The utilization of nitrogen and energy by Korean native goats did not show any difference(pz0.05). In conclusion, the utilization of nitrogen and energy by Korean native goats did not show any significant difference. Thus, possibility of utilizing herbages from wildflower pasture for livestock was to be some extent expected.
