펠릭스 누스바움 박물관의 건축 개념 구현 방식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Embodiment of Architectural Concept in Felix Nussbaum Museum)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the way of embodying architectural concept in Nussbaum Museum for complementing present abstract and generalized research. This study tries to examine the close relationship between a certain concept and Nussbaum museum through analyzing architectural characteristics and searching its principles by concrete application of concept. The Architectural concept "Museum without exit", which Libeskind applied to Nussbaum Museum, is based on the dramatic life of Jewish painter Felix Nussbaum with relation to Holocaust, physical background of site and features of program, Libeskind Applied his architectural concept from the beginning to the most parts of the museum. His new museum subverts notions and logic of general features of existing museums. Libeskind's architectural concepts are especially applied to site plan, massing, circulation and spatial configuration. "Museum without exit" creates labyrinth like circulation based on stories including Nussbaum's life, his painting tendency and circumstances of those days. It also realize sensuous space through spatial shape and light control. Although some critics criticize that this museum is not suitable for paint collection because of overwhelming strength of architectural space. However, considering this museum's function of a kind of Holocaust museum beyond personal art gallery, Libeskind's 'museum without exit' shows effective realization of architectural concept for Jewish painter Felix Nussbaum's museum.

  • Modern Museum has duplication which are non-profitability for public service and profitability for good service to visitors. Museum must have revenue source in order to provide a good service. It is necessary Museum do marketing for benefit Enterprise. In this Paper, we study empirical of Museum Marketing Activation which are introduced Quality Management. We prove four hypothesis which are (1)As professional manpower operation is high, Museum Performance result may rise, (2)Operation conformation is no impact in Museum management result, (3)If quality management operation are introduced, Museum Performance result may rise, (4)As there is much contents of Museum, Museum Performance result may rise.

정보디자인의 관점에서 본 박물관 전시매체의 유형분류에 관한 연구 (A Study for Classification of Types about Museum Exhibition Medium in View of Information Design)

  • A modern museum has been changed from a passive place for simply exhibiting arts and antique collections to an interactive place for learning and experiencing culture and information. Such a functional change of the modern museum requires not only reorganizing fundamental characteristics of the modern museum, but also reforming organization of management teams, changing attitudes of staffs and assigning new roles to staffs for accepting the new thought and approach of visitors. That is, the function of the modem museum is not limited to collect arts and antique collections. The fundamental change of the modern museum further requires using the collections as a tool or a medium to provide a cultural exchange between the visitors and the museum, and to give new experience and information to the visitors. After proposing discussion that ' how, what, who is related to the museum? ', the way of thinking the museum is changed from ' collection ' to ' communication '. The change of the modern museum improves an educational role of the museum, and makes the museum as a communicator exchanging information and experience with visitors. In the last analysis, the modern museum is not just an exhibition medium that simply transfers information of the exhibition mediums to public. The modem museum is also a communication medium in order to collect information and transfer the collected information to the visitors. That is, the modern museum should provide various exhibition and communication mediums to the visitors for exchanging information and cultural experience. Therefore, the modern museum requires additional functions processing information suitable to the present environment and level of the museum, and transferring the information to public.

  • The Korean government has recently announced its plan to establish the first National Museum of Natural History. However, the Korean word for natural history, jayonsa, is not a very familiar term to some academics as well as the general public. This article discusses the definition and history of natural history, describes the functions of natural history meseums, and makes suggestions to the establishment of our National Museum. Modern natural history is no longer an art of ‘stamp collecting’. It is a comprehensive scientific endeavor pursuing to enlighten the history of the planet Earth and the diversity of natural objects it contains. Natural history museum must have two museums within the museum: the outer museum for exhibition and general public education and the inner museum for research and specialist education. I hope that our National Museum of Natural History will be a place where we all get to know about Nature and thus to love her.

韩·中博物馆文化商品营销比较研究 : 以国立中央博物馆和故宫博物院为中心 (A Comparative Study on the Marketing of Korean and Chinese Museum Cultural Products : Focused on the National Museum of Korea and the Palace Museum)

  • 博物馆文化商品在博物馆收益中逐渐占据重要部分, 因此, 在博物馆经营中, 文化商品营销的重要性日益增大。本研究通过对中国故宫博物院和韩国国立中央博物馆的文化商品营销战略进行比较分析, 来探索两国博物馆文化商品营销的发展方向。为此, 通过产品, 价格, 渠道, 促销等营销4P战略分析, 分析了韩国国立中央博物馆(以下称中博)和中国故宫博物馆(以下称故宫)的文化商品的差异。研究结果表明, 在产品(product)方面, 故宫重视与其他企业的合作战略, 但中博主要以"企划展文化商品"为中心, 将重点放在自身的商品开发上。价格(price)方面, 中博的文化商品比一般产品的价格定价要高。与此相反, 故宫的部分文化商品与市面上类似产品比较, 以相对低廉的价格出售。据分析, 这是因为不同的市场占有率而采取的战略。从渠道(place)方面来看, 故宫利用多种电商销售文化商品, 而中博则通过特定网站进行集中销售。另外, 故宫的线下卖场位于故宫正门出入口等位置, 但中博的线下文化商品店则设立在中博内部。在促销(promotion)方面, 故宫主要利用网络社交媒体营销战略, 而中博会每年通过公开招募活动收集人们各种各样的想法, 开发文化商品。本次研究通过中国故宫博物院和韩国国立中央博物馆的博物馆文化商品营销方式的比较, 对中国和韩国博物馆文化商品的发展具有新的启示意义。

  • Today, games, movies and amusements are the occupation of museums. This study will investigate the current trend of the theme park-style museum, the alternative space of the 21th centuty. Theme parks have moved beyond the concept of park, and they have application in commercial space, medical space, educational space and other areas, even exhibition space in an advanced country. This study researches into the characteristics of the theme park and museum, and how the style of the theme park-style museum is created. Its aim is to analyze the character of theme Park-style museum through case study with a focus on style. The theme park-style museum is an exhibition space with an emphasis on the characteristics of a theme park. The style of a theme park-style museum can be divided into ride-type, food-type, character-type and landscape-type attractions. Attractions are an important element of theme park-style museum. We recognize the new paradigm of museum in the theme park-style museum, but need to propose a method that will apply attraction elements to an exhibition space. The theme park-style museum will continually evolve with new attractions, and it is recommended that museums plan today for these changes.

현대 공공 미술관의 사회적 역할에 따른 공간구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Space Configuration of Contemporary Public Art Museum in Social Role)

  • The existing art museums existed for preservation and exhibition of collected material and the work which has artistic value. But today the art museum is not just for preservation and exhibition. It takes charge of public education as opened place to public. Further, it wants to be the art museum that the visitors who visit the art museum can enjoy and participate. The role change of like this is judged with the inevitable result which follows in many social demand. And increase with interest of leisure and culture life and continued demand for education, the role of modern art museum is becoming wider. Llike this, to accomplish these roles, space configuration of the modern art museum is changing. In the future, to meet more social demands and to solve flexibly, the modern art museum must concern more spacial efforts. Therefore, to grasp the change and the aspect of modern art museum, this study analyzes the Jeonbuk Province Art Museum, the Gyeongnam Art Museum and the Gyeonggido Museum of Art, They are most recently opened museum after 2000. To grasp space configuration of these museums, space syntax was used. And with the result which is analyzed, as grasps the problem and suggest an alternative idea, it can suggest advanced and proper direction.

  • The organization of modern society is suddenly changing from the modern society to the ultra modern informationalized society. Various social members must satisfy cultural and artistic desires to serve museum concept and function to move the informationalized society. A lot of natural history museum in the world build cyber space exhibition lines. Audiences do not directly visit but they view but they view the exhibit, get an education, participate in the cultrue programs and earn the museum's informations. Especially, in the case of national and public museums in Korea, they do not concerned the museum architecture before processing the character and collections of the museum. Cyber museums determine museum character, policy, information, collections converge of opinion voluntary collection and grasp of location, because cyber museum can be finished be4fore the work of the future museum.

제실 박물관에서 이왕가 미술관으로: 컬렉션 목록으로 본 소장품의 구성과 특성 변화 (The Transition from the Imperial Museum to the Yi Royal Household Art Museum: Changes in the Composition and Characteristics of the Collection as Seen through Its Inventory)

  • 1909년에 설립된 제실박물관은 한국 박물관의 효시이자 그 컬렉션은 현재 국립중앙박물관의 근간을 이루고 있다. 그런데 제실 박물관이 창경궁에 설립될 때에는 박물관만 설립된 것이 아니라 동물원, 식물원이 함께 설립되었다. 이 세 시설은 1911년 이후 함께 창경원으로 불리기도 했으나, 동물원과 식물원은 1938년에 박물관 소장품이 이전될 때에 창경원에 남게 되었고 이왕가 박물관 소장품 중 일부도 창경원에 남게 되었다. 이때 남겨진 소장품 가운데에는 왕실에서 사용하던 가마나 갑옷 등 민속품도 있었고 조류박제 등도 있었다. 이 조류 박제는 창경원 명정전의 회랑에 전시되기도 하였으며, 명정전 뒤쪽에 있는 표본실에도 전시되었다. 특히 조류 박제는 제실 박물관(이왕가 박물관)의 특성을 재고하게 하는 것이다. 제실 박물관은 설립 초기부터 고려 청자 등 도자기, 불상, 회화의 명품을 주로 수집하여 미술박물관의 성격이 두드러진 것으로 알려져 왔다. 그러나 이러한 성격은 제실 박물관의 특성의 하나에 지나지 않는 것으로 보인다. 제실 박물관은 살아 있는 동물을 수용한 동물원, 열대 식물을 기르는 온실 등을 포함한 식물원과 더불어 조류박제 등 표본을 수집함으로써 초기에는 박물학적 관점에서 종합 박물관의 특성을 지향했던 것으로 보인다. 특히 박물관의 일반 사무를 담당한 시모고리야마 세이이치는 1908년부터 1917년까지 조선산 조류 표본을 수집하고 이를 목록화함으로써, 동물원과 식물원이 단순한 놀이 동산의 성격만 지닌 것이 아니라 박물학적 목적도 지니고 있었던 것으로 볼 수 있게 한다. 다만, 제실 박물관(이왕가 박물관)은 박물관이 지녀야 할 수집, 전시 기능에 더해 연구와 교육 기능을 해야 하는 근대 박물관의 특성에서 연구와 교육 기능은 상대적으로 미비했다. 조선산 조류 박제 등은 수집은 이루어졌으나 연구가 이루어지지 못한 점은 이 박물관의 소장품이 박물학적 관점에서 수집되었으나, 보다 전문적인 연구로는 나아가지 못한 한계를 지니고 있음을 보여준다. 이 연구는 이왕가 박물관 소장품 목록과 이왕가 박물관 소장 조선산 조류 목록 등을 통해 이 박물관의 특성이 변화했음을 고찰하고자 한다.
