Objectives: The purpose of this research was to identify the top 10 most-cited articles on the management of fractured or broken instruments and to perform a bibliometric analysis thereof. Materials and Methods: Published articles related to fractured instruments were screened from online databases, such as Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and ScienceDirect, and highly cited papers, with at least 50 citations since publication, were identified. The most-cited articles were selected and analysed with regard to publication title, authorship, the journal of publication, year, institution, country of origin, article type, and number of citations. Results: The top 10 most-cited articles were from various journals. Most were published in the Journal of Endodontics, followed by the International Endodontic Journal, and Dental Traumatology. The leading countries were Australia, Israel, Switzerland, the USA, and Germany, and the leading institution was the University of Melbourne. The majority of articles among the top 10 articles were clinical research studies (n = 8), followed by a basic research article and a non-systematic review article. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis revealed interesting information about scientific progress in endodontics regarding fractured instruments. Overall, clinical research studies and basic research articles published in high-impact endodontic journals had the highest citation rates.
Objective: The aim of this research was to investigate the current status and limitations of the clinical use of a pulse tonometry device (PTD). Methods: We searched online medical databases, including Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), DataBase Periodical Information Academic (DBpia) and PubMed, for clinical studies of metabolic diseases that used PTD. We selected articles on the clinical application of the PTD but excluded duplicate articles, clinical studies without the PTD, and non-clinical studies. In the first screening, 551 articles were selected. Ultimately, we found 10 articles and classified the articles according to the following diseases: hyperlipidemia, diabetes, overweight and obesity, hypertension, and metabolic disease. Results: Of the 10 selected articles, 4 were focused on hypertension. Two articles were focused on overweight or obesity and two articles were focused on the metabolic disease. Conclusions: This study was the first attempt to conduct a systematic review on clinical studies of metabolic disease using the PTD as a primary outcome. We suggest that the standard of pulse wave parameters and operating procedures for the PTD should be further developed. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic information for the planning and progression of clinical studies of metabolic syndrome using PTD.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify bibliographic characteristics and research trends of articles published in the Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research from 2009 to 2015. Methods: Descriptive statistics were used to analyze 268 articles. Bibliographic characteristics, appropriateness of methods for quantitative and qualitative studies, and key concepts of articles were analyzed. Results: A clinical nurse was the first author for 184 (66.7%) articles. The number of collaborative works between hospital and university was 184 (68.7%). Study participants were patients (120, 38.1%), nurses (115, 36.5%) and others. IRB approval was given for 156 articles (58.2%). Written informed consent was obtained in 125 articles (46.7%). Quantitative research accounted for 98.6% of the articles but qualitative studies only 4 (1.4%). Types of interventions in the experimental studies were nursing skills (43, 42.6%) and health education (32, 31.7%). Major keywords were nurses, pain, knowledge, intensive care unit, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and stress. Conclusion: Articles in this journal deal with topics and concepts confronted in nursing practice so experimental studies on applicability of nursing interventions were frequently published. Findings in this study indicate that the authors published in the journal contribute to the development of nursing with characteristics distinctive from other nursing journals published in Korea.

This study reviews the latest articles about oriental and traditional medicine treatment of male sexual dysfunction. We searched the article from 2000 to 2012 using 5 data bases. There were no restrictions on the type of publication, but articles not available in full text were excluded. The methological quality of RCT study was assessed according to Jadad scores and Cochrane's assessment of risk of bias. 18 articles were included in this study. 5 articles published in Korea, the rest were foreign articles. 9 articles were randomized controlled trial(RCT), Case-control studies were 3, case reports were 3, One group pre-post test were 3. In RCT studies, Jadad scores were generally low, and risk of selection bias and performance bias were generally high, risk of detection bias was unclear. Oriental and traditional medicine treatment is as effective as western medicine treatment for male sexual dysfunction, more rigorous oriental medicine treatment studies should be warranted.
Background and Purpose : Oncheongeum(溫淸飮) composed of Samultang(四物湯) and Hwangryunhaedoktang(黃連解毒湯) was mainly used for healing metrorrhagia in the Qing dynasty of China. At present, Oncheongeum is used for treating a broad spectrum of diseases such as skin disease, stomatitis, behcets disease, diabetes mellitus and, especially in Japan, atopic dermatitis. To our knowledge, however, neither the precise constituents and their effects of Oncheongeum nor the criteria for the prescription of Oncheongeum were defined. To address this issue, we searched and performed analysis of Korean, Chinese and Japanese articles reporting the clinical and experimental studies of Oncheongeum. Methods : We searched articles in the national assembly library of Korea by using keyword 'Oncheongeum' korean. Similarly, we did chinese articles in the CNKI and japanese ones in the CiNii, respectively. Results : We found 13 korean articles about Oncheongeum in the national assembly library, 34 chinese articles in the CNKI, and 23 japanese in the CiNii. The papers were divided into clinical and experimental articles. The clinical articles were mainly published from China and Japan, and their subjects were predominantly on skin diseases. Conclusions : There were a lot of case reports about Oncheongeum used in the clinical studies. In order to better understand the effects of Oncheongeum, systematic review of the studies seems essential. The efficacy of Oncheongeum reported in the clinical studies should be supported by experimental data. Not much were clinical reports in Korea, although we are expecting more to come. It is possible to not only analyse but compare Oncheongeum with other prescriptions used for atopic dermatitis. More comprehensive and comparative analysis of three countries' prescriptions might provide a way of how to standardize prescriptions, which leads oriental medicine to an evidence based medicine.
Purpose: This article summarizes the trends in recent research publications in relation to post-harvest technology for drying, storage, and quality, between 2005 and 2015. Methods: As of S eptember 7, 2015, a s earch query using two keywords, drying and agriculture, on the Web of Science (Registered trademark of Thomson Reuters) resulted in 3749 articles that were published between 2005 and 2015. However, the review was restricted to research articles published in the journals Transactions of the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) and Biosystems Engineering: Journal of European Agricultural Engineering. Results: The total number of articles in the two journals related to drying, storage, and quality was 500, 319, and 885, respectively. The number of articles related to drying, storage, and quality was 250, 177, and 250, respectively, in Transactions of the ASABE. The number of articles related to drying, storage, and quality was 250, 142, and 283, respectively, in Biosystems Engineering. Conclusions: A shift in research focus from drying and storage to quality in Transactions of the ASABE might reflect a shift toward quality-conscious consumers. It seems that ASABE members are more focused on articles related to post-harvest technologies on quality than their European counterparts. Articles were cited based on their abstract content. Readers should read the full articles for more details.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends and co-author networks of academic articles published in the Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association from 2010 to 2022. The network analysis was conducted using Excel and NetMiner 4.4, and the results were as follows. First, the number of published articles has been maintained at around 40 per year since 2019. By field, most articles were published in the field of child studies and family studies, followed by consumer studies, home management, clothing studies, home economics education, food and nutrition, and housing. The research methods were primarily quantitative (71.61%). Second, the most common keywords in the titles of the published articles were "influence" and "relationship", with "influence", "consumer", "mediating effect", "parent", and "control" identified as influential keywords. Third, the published articles were categorized into nine topics based on subject matter, while the number of topic types varied by year. Fourth, the total number of authors of the 627 articles was 712, with 1.92 authors per article, as well as the number of authors who published two or fewer articles accounted for 85.5% of the total. By institution, Yonsei University had the highest number of authors and the highest number of published articles, while Korea National Open University played a leading role in the network of co-authors by institution. This study is significant in providing basic data for the future development of the Korean Home Economics Association and the field of home economics.
The purpose of this study was to discuss and address the state of the knowledge development and the nature of knowledge regarding fatigue. Method: This study analyzed the 63 fatigue related articles published from 1990 to 2001. The analysis schema was 'Alternative linkages among philosophy, theory, and method for nursing science' (Kim, 1993). Result: The 63 articles had been studied only within 5 types among all 96 types of linkages. Most of the articles (59 among 63 articles) had been studied within scientific realism and deductive logic. Fifty-three articles among 59 articles were the type of explanatory and predictive theory, grasping reality by the etic method on the controlled setting. Conclusion: This study suggests more development of knowledge regarding fatigue with various logics, especially with discovery logic such as inductive and retroductive or methods in multiple designs on various subjects under various philosophy needed for nursing practice.
The purpose of this study was to explore the ideas about childrearing represented on the cuber space. The method used for this study is the content analysis and the data are articles on the Hitel bulletin board during 1 year. It is found that these articles dealt with problems of practices in the pregnancy-delivery, nurturing, teaching and interfacing between home and social institutions. Especially these articles put great emphasis on nurturing. For example, there are many articles about caring, development, health and hygiene of child. And from 1st to 6th month, there are many articles about nurturing. After 7th month, many articles about teaching and interfacing between home and social institutions are appeared. So from these results we might conclude that many functions of the home are transmitted to society too early.
