We present a preliminary result of search for CO molecular outflows toward a sample of 68 candidate Very Low Luminosity Objects (VeLLOs; Lint ${\leq}0.1L_{\odot}$) to help to understand their physical properties. The sources have been identified using the data at IR to radio wavelengths by M. Kim et al. 2016 toward nearby star-forming regions in the Gould belt. These sources were observed in rotational transitions 2-1 and 3-2 of $^{12}CO$, $^{13}CO$, and $C^{18}O$ molecules with SRAO, CSO, JCMT, and ASTE telescopes. In the beginning of our survey we made a single pointing observation in $^{12}CO$ 2-1 or 3-2 lines for our sample, identifying 53 sources as potential outflow candidates from their line wing features. We made full or partial mapping observations for these candidates with the same lines, finding 33 sources with bipolar or one-sided outflow features. Out of these 33 sources, 6 VeLLOs are previously known sources to have their outflows and 27 VeLLOs are found to be new outflow sources identified from this study. We estimated outflow properties with corrections for excitation temperature, optical depth, and inclination. Their outflow forces range from $8.7{\times}10^{-10}$ to $6.0{\times}10^{-5}M_{\odot}\;km\;s^{-1}yr^{-1}$ with a median value of $3.6{\times}10^{-7}M_{\odot}\;km\;s^{-1}yr^{-1}$, indicating that most of the VeLLOs are less powerful than those for protostars. Their accretion luminosities vary from $9.7{\times}10^{-9}$ to $166L_{\odot}$ with a median value of $0.004L_{\odot}$, implying that most VeLLOs have larger ratios of the accretion luminosity to the internal luminosity but a significant number of VeLLOs have smaller ratios. This result suggests that many of the VeLLOs can be explained with episodic accretion but a significant number of VeLLOs cannot.
This study was conducted to assess the positional changes of hyoid bone following the use of activator in Angles class III malocclusion patients with functional factors. For this study, 40 Angle's class I patients and 40 Angle's class III patients, totally 80 subjects were used. They are all in Hellman's dental age IIIB-IIIC ranges. In lateral cephalogram to compare Angle's class I group and Angle's class III group, and the positional changes of the hyoid bone before and after the use of activator in Angle's class III malocclusion group. The results were obtained as follows; 1. Comparison of Angle's class I group and Angle's class III group. In comparison to Angle's class I group, hyoid bone is more anteriorly and superiorly positioned in Angle's class III group. The hyoid bone showed reverse inclination to the mandibular plane in Angle's class III malocclusion group. 2. Comparison of the hyoid positional change before and after use of Activator in Angle's class III malocclusion group. The hyoid bone is displaced posteriorly and inferiorly in vertical relationship. The hyoid bone also showed counter-clockwise rotation. 3. No statistical difference was found between after Activator use data of Angle's class m malocclusion group and Angle's class I group. It is concluded that the hyoid bone in Angle's class III malocclusion group changed its position, similar to Angle's class I malocclusion group.
Objective: To examine the effect of bite force on the displacement and stress distribution of orthodontic mini-implants (OMIs) in the molar region according to placement site, insertion angle, and loading direction. Methods: Five finite element models were created using micro-computed tomography (microCT) images of the maxilla and mandible. OMIs were placed at one maxillary and two mandibular positions: between the maxillary second premolar and first molar, between the mandibular second premolar and first molar, and between the mandibular first and second molars. The OMIs were inserted at angles of $45^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$ to the buccal surface of the cortical bone. A bite force of 25 kg was applied to the 10 occlusal contact points of the second premolar, first molar, and second molar. The loading directions were $0^{\circ}$, $5^{\circ}$, and $10^{\circ}$ to the long axis of the tooth. Results: With regard to placement site, the displacement and stress were greatest for the OMI placed between the mandibular first molar and second molar, and smallest for the OMI placed between the maxillary second premolar and first molar. In the mandibular molar region, the angled OMI showed slightly less displacement than the OMI placed at $90^{\circ}$. The maximum Von Mises stress increased with the inclination of the loading direction. Conclusions: These results suggest that placement of OMIs between the second premolar and first molar at $45^{\circ}$ to the cortical bone reduces the effect of bite force on OMIs.
Objective: To evaluate transverse skeletal and dental changes, including those in the buccolingual dental axis, between patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion and facial asymmetry after bilateral intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy with and without presurgical orthodontic treatment. Methods: This retrospective study included 29 patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion and facial asymmetry including menton deviation > 4 mm from the midsagittal plane. To evaluate changes in transverse skeletal and dental variables (i.e., buccolingual inclination of the upper and lower canines and first molars), the data for 16 patients who underwent conventional orthognathic surgery (CS) were compared with those for 13 patients who underwent preorthodontic orthognathic surgery (POGS), using three-dimensional computed tomography at initial examination, 1 month before surgery, and at 7 days and 1 year after surgery. Results: The 1-year postsurgical examination revealed no significant changes in the postoperative transverse dental axis in the CS group. In the POGS group, the upper first molar inclined lingually on both sides (deviated side, $-1.8^{\circ}{\pm}2.8^{\circ}$, p = 0.044; nondeviated side, $-3.7^{\circ}{\pm}3.3^{\circ}$, p = 0.001) and the lower canine inclined lingually on the nondeviated side ($4.0^{\circ}{\pm}5.4^{\circ}$, p = 0.022) during postsurgical orthodontic treatment. There were no significant differences in the skeletal and dental variables between the two groups at 1 year after surgery. Conclusions: POGS may be a clinically acceptable alternative to CS as a treatment to achieve stable transverse axes of the dentition in both arches in patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion and facial asymmetry.
Objective: To identify the available evidence on the effects of rapid maxillary expansion (RME) with three-dimensional imaging and provide meta-analytic data from studies assessing the outcomes using computed tomography. Methods: Eleven electronic databases were searched, and prospective case series were selected. Two authors screened all titles and abstracts and assessed full texts of the remaining articles. Seventeen case series were included in the quantitative synthesis. Seven outcomes were investigated: nasal cavity width, maxillary basal bone width, alveolar buccal crest width, alveolar palatal crest width, inter-molar crown width, inter-molar root apex width, and buccopalatal molar inclination. The outcomes were investigated at two-time points: post-expansion (2-6 weeks) and post-retention (4-8 months). Mean differences and 95% confidence intervals were used to summarize and combine the data. Results: All the investigated outcomes showed significant differences post-expansion (maxillary basal bone width, +2.46 mm; nasal cavity width, +1.95 mm; alveolar buccal crest width, +3.90 mm; alveolar palatal crest width, +3.09 mm; intermolar crown width, +5.69 mm; inter-molar root apex width, +2.85 mm; and dental tipping, +3.75°) and post-retention (maxillary basal bone width, +2.21 mm; nasal cavity width, +1.55 mm; alveolar buccal crest width, +3.57 mm; alveolar palatal crest width, +3.32 mm; inter-molar crown width, +5.43 mm; inter-molar root apex width, +4.75 mm; and dental tipping, 2.22°) compared to pre-expansion. Conclusions: After RME, skeletal expansion of the nasomaxillary complex was greater in most caudal structures. Maxillary basal bone showed 10% post-retention relapse. During retention period, uprighting of maxillary molars occurred.
This study is to suggest the technique of ecological park to compatible mountain ecosystem near the urban in Woomyeonsan Urban Nature Park. It was proposed to differential technique from established ecological park focused on changing the cognition of nature, wetland ecosystem protection and restoration, and studying by served sound leisure program(nature observation and experience, etc.), in compatible mountain and urban forest near the Urban. Firstly, to achieve this aim, it was carried out delicated research and analysis that were the angle of inclination, trail, fauna, actual vegetation, bird and insect, and then to selected nature trail course and analysis capability through it.. In the basic concept and plan, firstly to make park aid mark and foundation mark, and then to establish the detail programs, nature observation program, management and organization program. This site where valley and mountain coexist was highly capable but whole site was very steep, so usable area is very narrow. To make Woomyeonsan nature ecological park escape from the established wetland type, ecological park and the park of event have to use nature material and introduce visitor. To establish it as the Nature Culture observation park and reflect on forest, valley of Woomyeonsan was divided into three display places; Nature ecosystem Zone, Meditation Zone, Nature Culture experience Zone and Nature Culture observation Center. For satisfying with ecological park aid mark and foundation mark, it was proposed to settle management plan for volunteer control and organization composition.
Landslide model experiments considering hourly rainfall were performed to investigate and predict the run out distance induced by landslides. The model flume and the rainfall simulator were designed and produced. The model flume was designed in consideration of the landslide characteristics of Korea. The landslides in Korea were mainly occurred in the interface between soil layer and rock layer. The rainfall simulator was produced for controlling hourly rainfall ranged from 100mm/hr to 1,000mm/hr. Jumnunjin standard sand as slope soils was placed on the model flume. The model experiments were performed with changing the hourly rainfall ranged from 150mm/hr to 250mm/hr. In this experiments, the inclination of slope was 25o and the relative density of slope soils was 35%. As a result of experiments, the pore water pressure is rapidly increased at landslide occurring time, and the scale of landslide is increased with increasing in hourly rainfall. The spreading range of run out distance is occurred with pan type, and the spreading width and length are rapidly increased in its early stage and slowly increased after early stage. Also, The increasing velocity of run out distance of debris is influenced by hourly rainfall.
We examine the observations of large-scale magnetic fields in the Universe. We begin at the largest scale with clusters of galaxies and work our way down through galaxies and finally to the Milky Way. on which we concentrate in detail. We examine the observations of the Galactic magnetic field, and their interpretation, under the philosophy that the Galactic magnetic field is like that in other spiral galaxies. We use pulsar data. diffuse Galactic synchrotron emission, and starlight polarization data to discuss the Galaxy's global magnetic configuration and the uniform ($B_u$), random ($B_r$), and total ($B_t$) components of the field strength. We find disagreement among conclusions derived from the various data sets and argue that the pulsar data are not the best indicator for large-scale Galactic field. Near the Solar circle, we find that the azimuthal average of $B_t$ is 4.2$\mu$G and we adopt $B_u\~$2.2 and $B_r\~3.6{\mu}G$. $B_t$ is higher in spiral arms, reaching $\~5.9{\mu}G$. $B_t$ is higher for smaller $R_{Gal}$, reaching $\~8.0{\mu}G$ for $R_{Gal}$ = 4.0 kpc. The pattern of field lines is not concentric circles but spirals. The inclination of the magnetic spiral may be smaller than that of the Galaxy's spiral arms if our sample, which refers primarily to the interarm region near the Sun, is representative. However, it is not inconceivable that the local field lines follow the Galaxy's spiral pattern, as is observed in external galaxies.
Self-consistent mathematical model of the exotic object OTJ 071126+440405= CSS 081231:071126+440405 is discussed. The system was discovered as a polar at the New year night 31.12.2008/01.01.2009 by D.Denisenko (VSNET Circ), and we have initiated an international campaign of photometric and polarimetric observations of this object (totally -80 runs in Ukraine, Korea, Slovakia, Finland, USA) as a part of the "Inter-Longitude Astronomy" (ILA) project on monitoring of variable stars of different classes (Andronov et al., 2003). Here we present the geometrical and physical model of the system in the low luminosity state and in the intermediate luminosity state as well as in the high luminosity state. As the system is of -20 mag at minimum, no spectral observations were made to determine parameters of the red dwarf. From the statistical relationship, the mass of the red dwarf is estimated to be -0.165 solar masses, for the white dwarf (from eclipse duration) - from 0.5 to 1.76 solar masses. As the system resembles ER UMa in some characteristics, the lower value may be assumed. The inclination of the system and other physical parameters are estimated. The object is an excellent laboratory to study multiple physical processes in the magnetic systems.
In this era of ubiquitous service, a computing device has functions similar with human beings. It influences all major fields of human life, such as clothing, dieting and housing. In order to use the coordination functions of the magic mirror, which might be a basic part of clothing in the era of ubiquitous service, this study concentrates on product information that should be inputted in RFID chip in detail in order to exercise virtual fashion coordination. Information should be inputted in RFID chip to use magic mirror for fashion coordination, a direction for doing this was also suggested. After coding the suggested clothing items, virtual fashion coordination was implemented as a fashion illustration. This study is as following, First, sorts standard code for suitable coordination in 4 images and presented to a proof. Code denoted by 10 characters. Each code literal special quality marks by two characters and divided by season, image, fabric, item, rotor, five items. Item middle of characters of 10 code, when agree on article more than 8, coordination is enabled. Secondely, It is presented by coordination to dressing action picture by suitable coordination classified apart in whole occasions, and coordination method by wearer inclination is remembered wearer's dressing action picture to Magic mirror including layered look. Thirdly, wardrobe of Magic mirror clothes that always buy newly in magic mirror, is washing and clothes that do not take to wardrobe did to be controlled. Fourth, Wealth and schedule is suggested firster than wearer's dressing action.
