CONSTRUCTION OF DATABASE FOR A CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY RETRIEVAL SYSTEM OF APPAREL PRODUCTS

  • A database was constructed for customers to find and choose and apparel product. The product information was collected from words on several kinds of advertisement, which purchasers meet in their ordinary life. The information was sorted and categorized in 8 basic mother categories (Target group, Color, Apparel type, Fabric, Size, Price, Manufacturer) to build a suitable database structure. Each mother category was arranged into subcategories. Also this study showed a demonstration version of the retrieval system. the research resulted can be used for more intensive retrieval system.

  • This study is about the human sensibility measurement method. Researches on human sensibility measurement have been performed in many aspects. However, due to the subtlety and intricacy of human sensibility, it has been difficult to exactly measure human sensibility.At present, Semantic Differential(SD) method is most widely used to quantify human sensibility. In SD method, complicate human sensibility is represented on a scale with equal interval or equal ratio. However, this method has a critical problem in that human sensibility cannot be expressed with equal interval or equal ratio.In order to complement SD method and represent human sensibilities appropriately, we proposed an alternative method using the chroma-scale with saturation that had not equal interval or ratio. In experiment, proposed method shown that subjects understood a new scale easily and they could express their sensibilities on a new scale without any limitation. As a result, the chroma-scale can be used not only for measuring consumer's preference but also for evaluating or selecting sensibility words.

  • In current study on 8 college students there was examined modulation of eyeblink (as measured by integrated EMG of m.orbicularis oculi) and skin conductance response (SCR) to an acoustic startle probe (85 dB[A] white noise) by attending to task presented in auditory modality (to memorize words for further recognition) and entire performance of the word recognition test. Both eyeblink magnitude and SCR amplitude and rise time to startle probes were modified (larger magnitude of EMG peak, lower amplitude and shorter rise time of SCR) during attending to task as compared to performance on test. Results are interpreted n terms of modification of electrodermal and eyeblink components of startle and orienting reflexes by task characteristics (passive versus active efforts), attentional demands and aversiveness of experimental situation. However, eyeblink startle response manifested potentiation during attending to task, while SCR demonstrated attenuation. There are discussed implications of startle modulatioas a potentially sensitive probe of situational demands in stress research and also are considered prospects for further studies.

  • This paper describes an image design process for product development based on human sensibility ergonomics.. The human sensibility about product image can be measured through some statistical methods and translated into product design factors by some mathematical inference logics. This results also can be presented by 3D computer graphic tools, In order to integrate the above processess, a image design process on human sensibility database. Human sensibility database is constructed with the relational ddta of some adjective words and design factors, The next step is to extract the design information from the human sensibility dataabase by fuzzy inference algouithm. This information is used for the input data for the graphic presentation. The final product can be modified according to the customer's requirement.

  • Today multi-item and small lot production has been applied to the general production system for consumers' needs. Therefore the production for consumers' needs have been product every moment, and buying have been made through various forms. But it is not easy for consumers to find the products which they want among many products. Furthermore although in the internet shopping mall many products can be presented to consumers, there are no ways to search fast the products which they want. This study has observed the fact that generally consumers' purchasing start with the image of products for their needs. So we suggest the way to show fast the most near products which consumers want in the internet by accepting Kansei words as product image.

Research on Words Representing Human Visual Sensibility for Residential Environment (주거환경의 시각 감성어휘 선발)

  • 본 연구는 주거환경에 대한 시각 감성을 대표하는 형용사를 선발하기 위해 수행되었다. 주거환경에 대한 감성을 대표하는 형용사를 선발하는 것은 감성의 잣대를 만드는 일이기 때문에 감성어휘를 정확하게 선택하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 어휘수집의 첫 단계에서는 주거환경 중 시각 환경에 대한 감성을 표현하는 어휘 235개를 수집하였다. 두 번째 단계에서는 수집된 어휘를 다른 피험자들에게 제시하여 주거 환경의 분위기를 나타내는 어휘로서 적절함의 정도를 7점 척도로 표시하도록 하여 24개의 어휘를 골라내었다. 세 번째 단계에서는 이들 어휘를 무선적으로 두 개씩 짝을 지어 두 단어가 유사한 정도를 7점 척도로 평가하도록 하고 이에 대해 요인분석, 군집분석, 다차원분석(MDS)을 실시하여 주거환경에 대한 10개의 감성 어휘를 추출하였다. 마지막 단계에서는 연구자들이 400여장의 실물 사진 열람을 통해 추출된 감성 어휘를 검증하여 수정하였다.

The Automatic Processing of Emotion (정서의 자동처리기제)

  • This literature review explores the possibilities for the automatic processing to account for the people's responses to emotional stimuli. The most fundamental question is if some parts of emotions are experienced without any intrusion of cognitions. In other words. can emotions be processed completely implicitly$\ulcorner$ Some studies advocate emotion related processes are much more immediate and primary than semantic processes. The phenomena to catch up the emotive values of stimuli even subliminally suggest that the implicit knowledge structure takes charge of this automatic processes of emotional information. This study summarizes the explanatory scheme of emotional processing by means of applying implicit memory principle and physiological evidences related to e emotional memories.

Category-based dimensional model of affective words (우리말 감성 어휘의 범주-차원 모형 - 직물 디자인의 시각적 요소와 관련하여 -)

  • 직물 및 직물 관련 제품에서 주로 사용되는 감성 어휘들의 관계 및 구조를 분석하기 위해 잡지 및 설문 조사 과정을 통해 어휘를 수집하였다. 수집된 어휘의 빈도를 조사하고, 어휘 적절성을 평가하여 감성어라고 생각될 수 있는 어휘들만을 정리하였다. 여기서 추출된 372개의 어휘는 직물 및 직물 관련 상황에서의 감성어로 사용될 수 있을 분만 아니라 유사 분야의 감성어 모형에 대한 기본 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 어휘들 간 관계구조에 대한 분석은 몇 가지 면에서 이뤄졌다. 자유연상 과제를 실시하여 어휘들 간 관계의 연결망(network)을 확인할 수 있었다. 어휘들이 내포하고 있는 의미의 여러 측면에서 어휘들 간 관계를 파악할 수 있도록 어휘들에 대해 다차원 분석을 실시한 결과 어휘 간 관계는 3차원이면 충분히 설명될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 두 개의 주차원을 중심으로 어휘들의 공간 분포를 그리고 이들 어휘를 범주로 분류한 결과 대략 11개의 범주로 어휘들을 나눠볼 수 있었다.

Text Mining and Sentiment Analysis for Predicting Box Office Success

  • After emerging online communications, text mining and sentiment analysis has been frequently applied into analyzing electronic word-of-mouth. This study aims to develop a domain-specific lexicon of sentiment analysis to predict box office success in Korea film market and validate the feasibility of the lexicon. Natural language processing, a machine learning algorithm, and a lexicon-based sentiment classification method are employed. To create a movie domain sentiment lexicon, 233,631 reviews of 147 movies with popularity ratings is collected by a XML crawling package in R program. We accomplished 81.69% accuracy in sentiment classification by the Korean sentiment dictionary including 706 negative words and 617 positive words. The result showed a stronger positive relationship with box office success and consumers' sentiment as well as a significant positive effect in the linear regression for the predicting model. In addition, it reveals emotion in the user-generated content can be a more accurate clue to predict business success.
