The experiment was conducted to obtain estimates of heterosis, selective index, genetic advance and selective efficiency in cross among silkworm varieties. Seven parents, 21 F$_1$ hybrids, and 21 F$_2$ populaltions from diallel crosses among them were evaluated. The results obtained are summarized as follows: In male and female of F$_1$ generation, the negative heterosis was shown in two characters of fifth instar period and boiling on ratio, and the positive heterosis with the value of 20.90-37.60% in the other characters. In those of F$_2$, the nagative heterosis was shown in two characters of cocoon layer ratio and boiling off ratio, and the positive heterosis in the other characters. The selection weight of cocoon weight for bave weight was the highest of those of all the characters, and that of the combination of the fifth instar period and cocoon weight for it was the highest of those of all the combination. The genetic advance of cocoon weight toward bave weight was the highest of all the characters. The highest genetic advance and selective efficiency were shown in the combination of all the characters.

Humans are social animals that have gained information or social interaction through dialogue. In conversation, the mood of the word can change depending on the sensibility of one person to another. Relationships between characters in films are essential for understanding stories and lines between characters, but methods to extract this information from films have not been investigated. Therefore, we need a model that automatically analyzes the relationship aspects in the movie. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the relationship between characters in the movie by utilizing deep learning techniques to measure the emotion of each character pair. The proposed method first extracts main characters from the movie script and finds the dialogue between the main characters. Then, to analyze the relationship between the main characters, it performs a sentiment analysis, weights them according to the positions of the metabolites in the entire time intervals and gathers their scores. Experimental results with real data sets demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to effectively measure the emotional relationship between the main characters.

This study proposes a new scientific measurement method for damaged epigraph. In this new method, the Chinese characters are converted and coordinates are created for this measurement. This method is then used to decipher partially damaged characters from the parts of the coordinated characters that are damaged and intact. The Chinese characters are divided into 9 square parts by the position of their Chinese Radicals. The unknown characters are then compared and deciphered dependent upon the character shape in 9 square parts that have been created. This method is more scientific, accurate, and makes it easier to find related characters than deciphering through contexts, which is current method. When creating a new software based on this algorithm, it will be especially useful in deciphering an old manuscript or a epigraph that made ancient Chinese characters which are not currently in use. This study will also be helpful in deciphering semi-cursive styled or cursive styled epigraph, as well as semi-cursive styled or cursive styled damaged characters during follow-up research.

Inheritance of cocoon and shell weight characters in silkworm crosses between sex-limited at larva stage lines, including three (NIG$_{1}$ $\times$ TV$_{3/2}$ ,NIG$_{1}$ $\times$ TBV$_{2/24}$ and NIG$_{1}$ $\times$ B$_{2/6}$ ) from Japanese type and three (NIG$_{2}$ $\times$ B$_{2/6}$ ,TV$_{3/2}$ $\times$ NIG$_{1}$ and NIG$_{2}$ $\times$ TBV$_{2/24}$ ) from Chinese type was studied at Regional Centre for Scientific­Applied Service - Vratza during the period of 2000 ­2002. Inheritance of tested characters in F I was deter­mined through genetic parameters, additiveness (a), dominance (d) and their ratio (d/a). Degree and frequency of transgressions in F$_{2}$ were calculated also. Over dominance (d/a(>) 1) with bigger contribution of the parent with higher value was determined at inheritance tested characters. Transgressions obtained at cocoon and shell weight characters were positive and varied in wide limits. The productivity of parent's lines had defined the variability of genetic parameters for degree and frequency of transgressions. Combination of positive transgressions at cocoon and shell weight characters in F2 hybrid populations from sex-limited at larva stage allow us to select individuals with high productive potential for further use in selection programs.

Characters are composed of universal value system that can be applied to the oriental and western world, while there are based on the differences in general and cultural values distinguished by the said two worlds. In modern society expressed as the age of moving image, the products concerning the characters have played a role as a forerunner of the spread of culture in the formation of new markets, regardless of considering the relationship between animation industry in Korea and the counterparts in the USA and Japan. Furthermore, as a successful role model, eastern and western character industries have penetrated deeply into our daily lives, in terms of our cultural values. Based on the assumption that characters reflect the cultural values, This study investigates the meanings of bodily & linguistic expressions appeared in animation characters and reviews the method of enhancing their values and effectiveness as cultural assets.

Parthenogenesis, the development of unfertilized ovum opens new perspectives in silkworm breeding in the development of homozygous breeds. In order to improve induction of artificial parthenogenesis in the excised unfertilized eggs of different breeds of the silkworm, Bombyx mori L., a new method was devised and the results were compared with the routine method. General and specific combining abilities and hybrid vigour of newly developed bivoltine breeds were analyzed utilizing bivoltine breeds viz., $CSR_2,\;CSR_4,\;CSR_{17}\;and\;NB_4D_2$ Estimation of GCA revealed superiority of the breeds, $DNB_1$ for eight characters followed by $DNB_4$ for five characters. Among the testers, $CSR_2$ was found good general combiner for seven characters followed by $CSR_{17}$ for four characters. A great deal of variations was observed among the hybrids studied. Five hybrids namely, $DNB_1{\times}CSR_2,\;DNB_4{\times}CSR_4,\;DNB_4{\times}NB_4D_2,\;DNB_6{\times}CSR_2\;and\;DNB_7{\times}CSR_2$ showed significant SCA effects for 5-6 characters. The hybrid, $DNB_4{\times}CSR_4$ showed its superiority by expressing significant hybrid vigour over BPV for 7 characters. Majority of the hybrids exhibited significant hybrid vigour for survival rate, yield/10,000 larvae by weight, cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, filament length and denier.

The purposes of this thesis are to investigate characteristics, environment of characters through comprehensive approach to analyze its use and strategies in apparel brands. As a method to accomplish this research, fashion related articles, documents and magazines are used along with marketing references forecasting 21st century market changes. The character industry has diverse application to different medias and also intimacy and absorbtion beyond sex, age, generation, nationality. The cultural background of character fashion is based on casual clothing caused by wide spread pursuit of sports and leisure culture, indivisualization and diversification of clothing, customer-made marketing atmosphere and tendency of pursuit of fun and humor. In case of domestic young casual market, own characters are developed for creating differentiated it's own brand images. Characters are applied as an design details or cyber fashion models standing for the image of it's own brand and take a part in other events and visual parts as well. Characters not only limited to clothing items but also further usages of characters extended to stickers and other related stationary goods are necessary. A 'Character multi shop' can be one of good methods to maximize synergy effect.

This paper describes the procedure of recognizing the On-line Korean characters which are written on a graphic tablet. The effective recognition of primitives is performed by the use of stroke unit proceeding instead of coordinate unit under the base of definition of characteristic points which are fit to Korean character through the application of the characteristics of korean characters & input data on graphic tablet.

In this study, an improved HMM based recognition model is proposed for online English and Korean handwritten characters. The pattern elements of the handwriting model are sub character strokes and ligatures. To deal with the problem of handwriting style variations, a modified Hierarchical Clustering approach is introduced to partition different writing styles into several classes. For each of the English letters and each primitive grapheme in Korean characters, one HMM that models the temporal and spatial variability of the handwriting is constructed based on each class. Then the HMMs of Korean graphemes are concatenated to form the Korean character models. The recognition of handwritten characters is implemented by a modified level building algorithm, which incorporates the Korean character combination rules within the efficient network search procedure. Due to the limitation of the HMM based method, a post-processing procedure that takes the global and structural features into account is proposed. Experiments showed that the proposed recognition system achieved a high writer independent recognition rate on unconstrained samples of both English and Korean characters. The comparison with other schemes of HMM-based recognition was also performed to evaluate the system.

Experiments were carried out to make clear the relationships among some morphological characters of four-varieties of mulberry trees. Simple correlation coefficients and particial correlation coefficients were calcultated among the characters, namely branch length, branch diameter, leaf number per branch, leaf area per branch, node number per branch, total branch wt. branch weight except leaves and leaf weight per branch of the mulberry trees. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Variances of the characters and covariances between the each characters are shown in table 1, and simple correlation coefficients among various characters are shown in table 2. It was observed that there were close relationships between yield (leaf weight) and branch length, branch diameter, leaf number per branch, leaf are per branch, node number per branch, total branch weight and branch weight except leaves, respectively. 2. Partial correlation coefficients among some characters are shown in table 3. From this table, it was also observed that leaf yield of mulberry trees and leaf area are more closely related more than leaf yield and the other characters of mulberry trees in four different varieties. From the experimental studies, it was recognized that the four characters, namely branch length, branch diameter, leaf number and leaf area, should be very useful characters in the estimation of mulberry leaf yield as they could be measured. or counted easily before harvest of mulberry leaves, and are affected more in mulberry 1eaf yields than the other characters.
