미국대학을 중심으로한 과학교육분야 박사학위 논문분석 (Analysis of Doctor' Dissertations in Science Education Produced mainly by the Universities in the USA.)

  • The condensed results of the analytical study on 361 doctoral dissertations in science education recorded in Dissertation Abstracts International during the years of 1985-1989 are as follows: About eighty to hundred dissertations were produced annually, but a slight decline in number was noted currently. About 94.4% of dissertations were produced by the universities in the USA The research data of 361 dissertations were collected from 25 countries. Over 40% of total dissertations had been focused on high school(senior middle school) and college students as the source of research. Disciplines of science constituting the background of dissertations were biology(l9.l%), physics(l2.7%), chemistry(12.0%) and earth science(2.5%). Concerning the research branches, the number of dissertations belonging to complex research(composed of experimental and theoretical research) was 118(32.7%) and those belonging to experimental and theoretical research were 88(24.4%) and 74(20.5%) respectively. Also that belonging to computer-aided research was 45(12.5%). The general methods of data collection were examination & test(34.9%), questionaire(22.2%) and complexmethod(9.1%). The main areas of dissertations were academic achievement(31.8%), teaching assessment(20.2%) and pedagogy(l8.8%).

병원환경의 안전관리를 위한 기초조사 -청결도를 중심으로- (A Survey on Environmental Safety Focussed on Cleanliness for Hospitalized Patients)

  • One of the fundamental provisions that a hospital requires is the environmental safety through cleanliness s. The effective management of atmospheric conditions, i. e. air purity, cleanliness of facilities furnitures and bed- linen instruments are direct- environment of hospitalized patients. Meeting physical cleanliness needs of patients, application of aseptic teaching while carrying out nursing measures and the cleanliness of hospital personnel are another categories of concern. This study was carried out, from March through April 1976, to investigate the degree of satisfaction on cleanliness that patients perceived, and to compare with that of nurses on their nursing performances. 44 questionaries categorized into 6 major concern were used. For the survey, 269 patients and 191 nurses of 3 general hospitals in Taegu: kyung-puk University Hospital, Presbyterian Mission Hospital, and Catholic Patima Hospital and 116 senior nursing students from Kyung-Puk University and Presbyterian School of Nursing were randomly sampled. Results are as follows : 1. Mean satisfaction score on cleanliness revealed to be average on patients, on nursing performance for cleanliness revealed to be average in nursing students and relatively high in graduate nurses. 2. Mean score of patients revealed to be significantly lower in comparison with that of nursing. 3. Mean score of nurses revealed to be significantly higher in comparison with that of nursing students. 4. Mean score of patients revealed to be significantly lower in comparison with nursing students. 5. Mean satisfaction score of patient3 in all categories revealed to be the lowest in the rank order . 6. The lowest categorial mean score revealed to be the linen and instrument in all three groups. Recommendations 1. A more satisfactory mean of cleaning (medical asperses of mouth thermometers needs to be developed. 2. Further investigation to clarify the difference between patients and nurses on hospital cleanliness is recommended.

청소년기의 홍역 특이 IgG (Measles Specific IgG in Adolescents)

  • 목 적 : 청소년기의 홍역 특이 IgG 항체의 혈중 농도를 측정하여 연령 증가에 따른 흥역 특이 IgG 항체 양성를 및 항체 역가를 알아보고, 홍역 유행 예방을 위한 자료를 제시하고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 1996년 5월부터 7월까지 12세~17세의 서울 시내 3개 중,고등학교 학생 216명 (남:110, 여:106)을 대상으로 혈액을 채취하여 효소결합면역흡착검사(ELISA)로 흥역 특이 IgG를 측정하였다. 홍역 특이 IgG 농도는 정해진 방법에 따라 110AU/m1이상인 경우 항체 양성으로 판정하였다. 결 과 : 홍역 특이 IgG 양성률은 전체적으로 91.2%였으며, 12세 94.7%, 13세 82.8%, 14세 83.8%, 15세 91.8%, 16세 95.8%, 17세 100%였고, 연령별로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 항체 양성자들의 평균 흥역 항체 역가(펑균${\pm}$표준펀차 AU/ml)는 전체적으로 $256{\pm}90$이었으며, 12세 $281{\pm}119$, 13세 $248{\pm}86$, 14세 $263{\pm}93$, 15세 $249{\pm}86$, 16세 $270{\pm}88$, 17세 $225{\pm}78$이었고, 연령별로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 결 론 : 청소년기에 홍역 특이 IgG 양성율은 91.2%로 청소년중 상당수가 홍역 유행시 이환이 가능한 상태임을 보여주었다. 이에 대한 대책으로 청소년에 대한 재접종을 고려해야하며 향후 재접종의 효과에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

여자 중.고등학생의 의복생활 실태에 관한 조사연구 -봄.여름 의복을 중심으로- (A Study on the Actual State of High School Girls' Clothing in Everyday Life -Especially on Spring and Summer Wear-)

  • The aim of this study is to grasp the actual state of high school girls' clothing after liberalization of their uniform and to provide the reasonable guidance materials in clothing for both schools and homes. These are the results of the study 1. In the aspect of the favor of clothing and the interest in about clothes. a. They were fond of wearing "T" shirts, blue jeans in summer and pants and jackets in spring as their school wear. That implies that they enjoy wearing active and practical clothes. b. In the aspect of color, majority of them favored blue or similar colors, Also they had the tendency to love soft, simple clothe and more students preferred cloth without pattern. c. In their choice of them, they seldom paid attention to the informative-label are not their chief interest. d. More than half of girls prepare one or two suits in advance in a season, and they would prepare them deliberately This implies that their everyday life inclothing is based on the economic motive. 2. In the aspect of the purchasing clothes, a. Most of the girls bought them at the market and some of them at the direct-sales stall. b. when they purchased clothes, most girls were accompanied by their/mother and senior girls more often by their friends. c. The price and kinds of their favorite clothes such as "T" shirts and blouse was 5,000 won or so, and skirts, pants, one-piece and jackets are from the range of 5,000 won to below 10,000 won mostly. d. In regard to so-called brand-name items by popular designers, half of the girls responded that they wear some of such kinds of items because of superiority of sewing and longterm wearing, and the other half tend not to wear them due to high price.

$\cdot$중등교사의 요통경험과 물리치료지식에 영향을 미치는 요인 (A Study on Back Pain of Elementary, Junior and Senior High School Teachers, and the Factors Affecting Their of Back Pain and Physical Therapy)

  • A study was conducted in order to determine back pain experience status of elementary. junior and senior high school teachers and the factors affecting their knowledge of back pain and physical therapy from April 2 through June 30, 1999 in major big cities and small and medium towns. Questionnaires were sent to 924 teachers and the collected daa were analyzed. The results summarized are as follows ; 1. $46.3\%$ of the respondents had experienced back pain, and $47.0\%$ of females, $62.0\%$ of the people over 50years old, $57.4\%$ of junior high school teachers, $47.5%$ of teachers of art and physical education, $46.9\%$ of married persons, $47.8\%$ of the people living in medium or small towns, and $58.6\%$ of the persons whose economic status was low han experienced back pains, $58.9\%$ of respondents who were not healthy, and $49.3\%$ of those who did not drink alcohol, $47.9\%$ of nonsmokers, and $49.1\%$ of those who slept on ondol had experienced back pains. $76.7\%$ of the respondents got health information on back pains from health professionals. 2. An average level of the respondents en physical therapy was $14.95\pm8.32$ points out of 44 and it was 34 points when converted to 100. The knowledge levels of males,. elementary teachers, married persons, those teaching students far more than 20 hours a week, smokers, those who did not drink, those who exercised regularly, and those who had experienced back pains were higher than those in other groups. The knowledge level of those who had experienced back pain prevention education was $18.88\pm8.88$ points and the difference between those with experience and those without experience was statistically significant. The depression level of those who got 40 pome on back pains, and physical therapy was higher than other group(p<0.001). 3, Depression levels of teachers on back pains and physical therapy related knowledge was higher in those with back pains than those without back pains(p<0.01). 4. The factors affecting experience of back pains were back pain related age, economic status, health status, smoking, style of kitchen, sown of information on back pain, and back pain prevention education. (p<0.001), 5. The factors affecting the knowledge on physical therapy were general knowledge levels on back pains, position when tilling, and moving heavy stuffs, driving position, sources of information on back pain prevention, type of bed, age, and health status, and the explanation power of those factors was $45.2\%$.

Reference values of lead in blood and related factors among Korean adolescents: the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2010-2013

  • Purpose: This study aimed to assess the reference values and factors influencing blood lead levels among Korean adolescents. Methods: The study population consisted of 1,585 adolescents (801 males, 784 females; aged 10-19 years) who participated in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2010-2013. We analyzed blood lead concentrations in relation to demographic/lifestyle characteristics for all participants. "Reference values" of blood lead levels were calculated as the upper limit of the 95% confidence interval of the 95th percentile. Results: The average "reference value" for blood lead concentrations among Korean adolescents was $2.25{\mu}g/dL$ ($2.49{\mu}g/dL$ for males, $2.07{\mu}g/dL$ for females), and the geometric mean of the blood lead concentrations was $1.34{\mu}g/dL$. Males had higher blood lead concentrations than females (male, $1.48{\mu}g/dL$; female, $1.19{\mu}g/dL$; P<0.001). Elementary school students had higher blood lead concentrations than junior and senior high school students ($1.44{\mu}g/dL$ vs. $1.31{\mu}g/dL$, P<0.001). Participants living in detached houses had higher blood lead concentrations than those living in apartments (P<0.001) and current smokers had higher concentrations than nonsmokers or participants with secondhand smoke exposure (P<0.05). Additionally, participants with excessive alcohol consumption had higher levels than non-drinkers (P<0.001). Conclusion: This study provides national reference data on blood lead concentrations stratified by demographic and lifestyle factors among Korean adolescents. Further studies are needed to elucidate the relationship between increased lead exposure and demographic factors including type of housing.

과학과 미술 통합프로그램이 초등과학영재의 뇌 활성에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Science and Art Integrated Program on Brain Activity of Gifted Students in Science)

  • This study is to activate gifted students' brains for creativity ability and also an integrated science and art teaching program. The learning programs integrating science and art, which have 30 periods and 10 topics on art and the knowledge of science, were developed dependant on five steps - observing, having interests and curiosity, experimental designing and performing, internalizing, and expressing in an arts-based manner. This programs were applied to 20 senior gifted students in Y Elementary School in Gyeonggi province, by one group pretest-posttest design. The results from these integrated programs of science and art are as follows: First, in the performance of science tasks, prefrontal lobe(F7, FT7) of left brain increase the relative power of theta wave, whereas in the performance of drawing tasks increase the relative power of beta wave in prefrontal lobe(FP1) of left brain, bilateral frontal(F7, F3, Fz, F4, F8, FT7, FC3, FCz), bilateral temporal(T7, TP7, TP8, P7), parietal lobe of left brain(CP3, CPz, P3, Pz), bilateral occipital(O1, Oz, O2). Second, in the performance of science tasks, the relative power of beta wave activity in the left temporal lobe(T7) of the brains of talented students in science significantly decreased whereas it was greatly activated in another part, the left frontal lobe(F3) of the brain (p<.05). Third, in the performance of drawing tasks, the relative power of theta wave activity in five areas of the brain, namely the left temporal lobe(T7), the left frontal lobe(F3), the right frontal lobe(F4), and the left and right parietal lobes of gifted students in science who took the course of the integrated programs, was considerably increased statistically(p<.05). On top of that, these programs were especially effective in balancing the symmetrical development of both cerebral hemispheres by multiplying theta wave activity in the frontal lobes(F3, F4) and the parietal lobes(CP3, P3, P4), which are particularly related to creative thinking. According to the results of this study of brain-based teaching strategies combining science and art, it is an effective program to develop overall activate gifted students' brains for creativity ability. This is expected to be utilized to activate the brain areas for creativity of gifted students in science.

HIV/AIDS 감염인에 대한 차별의식에 미치는 영향의 중고등학생 간 비교: 에이즈 낙인의 매개효과 (Discriminatory Attitudes towards IV/AIDS (PWHAs) Patents by Middle and High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 서울시 중고등학생을 대상으로 인구학적 특성, 에이즈감염경로지식, 동성애자에 대한 태도, 에이즈 낙인, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감 사이의 인과구조를 집단별로 규명하기 위한 것이다. 중학교 8개교, 고등학교 8개교에 배포된 설문지는 3,370부 중 수거된 설문지는 3,135였고, 불성실한 설문지 34부를 제외한 총 3,101부(98.9%)가 분석에 사용되었고, 유효하지 않은 사례는 일률적(listwise)으로 제거하여 유효사례 수는 2,977부였다. 분석방법으로 탐색적 요인분석(EFA), 확인적 요인분석(CFA), 공변량 구조분석 등을 시도하였고, 모형을 추정하기 위해 구조방정식 모형을 사용하였다. 모형검증의 추정결과, 첫째, 중학생과 고등학생 간에 에이즈 차별의식의 구성개념인 에이즈 낙인과 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감에서 뚜렷한 차이를 보이고 있었다. 둘째, 에이즈 낙인에 대한 의생변인인 동성애자에 대한 태도는 중학생(${\beta}=.407$), 고등학생(${\beta}=.401$) 모두 강한 정(+)의 인과적 영향을 보였으며, 셋째, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감의 외생변인인 동성애자에 대한 태도는 중학생(${\beta}=.108$), 고등학생(${\beta}=.080$) 모두 약한 정(+)의 영향을 보였다. 넷째, 에이즈 감염경로 지식은 중학생(${\beta}=.313$), 고등학생(${\beta}=.301$) 모두 강한 정(+)의 인과적 영향을 미쳤고, 다섯째, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감에 영향을 미치는 외생변인인 에이즈 감염경로 지식은 중학생(${\beta}=.160$), 고등학생(${\beta}=.134$) 모두 정(+)의 인과적 영향을 미쳤다. 여섯째, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감에 영향을 미치는 외생변인인 에이즈 낙인은 중학생(${\beta}=.616$), 고등학생(${\beta}=.692$) 모두 강한 정(+)의 인과적 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 분석결과 에이즈 감염인에 대한 낙인 및 사회적 거리감을 해소하기 위해서는 에이즈 지식 중 감염경로에 대한 지식을 높이고, 에이즈를 동성애자의 병으로 바라보는 시각을 해소시키는 것이 필요하다고 판단된다.

청소년이 인식하는 중학교 노년기 주생활 교육 실태와 교육 필요도 (Actual Condition & the Need of Education for Elderly Housing Education Perceived by Adolescents)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 노년기 주생활 교육 실태 및 교육 필요도를 파악하여 개정 가정 교육과정 주생활영역에서의 교과서 개발 연구와 교사의 교수 시 도움을 주고자 하였다. 연구결과, 중학교 때 배웠던 노년기 주생활 수업이 이론 위주이고 교육내용이 흥미롭지 않아 상당수가 불만족하므로 학습자들이 실습과 체험활동 등을 경험할 수 있는 교육내용과 다양한 수업방식이 필요하겠다. 청소년은 노년기 주생활 교육내용으로 노인을 배려한 공간계획 요소(안전성, 관리, 실내 환경), 노년 주거계획 전반, 노인복지 서비스를 필요로 하였고, 3세대 가족 주거와 노인전용주택의 필요도는 상대적으로 낮았다. 이러한 교육내용은 성별, 거주면적, 가정소득, 출신 중학교 학교형태, 현 주택 거주 년 수의 일부 관련 변인에 따라 차이가 있었다. 따라서 2007년 개정 교육과정의 교과서에서는 필요도가 높은 교육내용을 적절한 단원에 포함시키도록 한다. 현행 7차 교육과정의 노년기 주생활 교육내용은 교과서별로 편차가 크므로 교과서 집필 시는 노년기 주생활 교육내용이 골고루 포함될 수 있도록 고려한다. 아울러 교사의 교수 시는 특성 변인의 차이를 감안하여 교육내용을 구성할 필요가 있겠다. 개정 교육과정에서는 교수.학습방법으로 학생들의 체험적인 활동을 중시하고, 지역사회와 밀접한 관계를 가지도록 권장하므로 현재의 장애체험 교육활동의 범위를 확장시켜 노인체험활동을 포함할 수 있도록 교육내용을 구성한다면 노년기 주생활 교육의 효과가 더 커질 것이므로 이를 위한 프로그램 개발도 요망된다.

중학교 기술·가정교과와 연계한 진로교육 프로그램의 구안과 적용 (Design and Application of Career Education Program Related to the Subject Manual Training and Home Economics of Middle School)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중학교 3학년 기술 가정교과와 연계한 진로교육 프로그램을 구안 적용하여 진로성숙도에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지를 규명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 부산광역시 소재의 D여자중학교 3학년 2개 학급 60명을 대상으로 실험집단에 한 회기에 45분씩 총 15회기의 프로그램을 시행하였고, 통제집단에는 어떠한 조치도 취하지 않았다. 실험집단과 통제집단의 진로성숙도의 차이를 검증하기 위해 SPSS/Window 12를 사용하여 진로성숙도 검사의 평균과 표준편차를 알아보고, 그에 따른 집단 간의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 두 집단의 사후검사 점수에 대해 각각 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)하였다. 그 결과는 첫째, 진로성숙도 태도영역인 독립성과 계획성 요인의 사후검사 결과 실험집단과 통제집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또 일에 대한 태도 요인에서는 실험집단과 통제집단의 사후검사 결과에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 진로성숙도 능력영역인 직업의 이해능력, 자신의 이해능력, 직업선택능력, 의사결정능력의 사후검사 점수에 대한 집단 간 차이의 유의도를 검증한 결과 두 집단 간에는 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 비추어 볼 때, 본 연구의 기술 가정 교과와 연계한 진로교육 프로그램이 중학생들의 진로성숙도를 향상시키는데 도움이 되는 효과적이고 유용한 프로그램임을 알 수 있다.
