Audience rating competition in the domestic drama market has increased recently due to the introduction of commercial broadcasting and diversification of channels. There is now a need for thorough studies and analysis on audience rating. Especially, a drama rating is an important measure to estimate advertisement costs for producers and advertisers. In this paper, we study the drama rating prediction models using various data mining techniques such as linear regression, LASSO regression, random forest, and gradient boosting. The analysis results show that initial drama ratings are affected by structural elements such as broadcasting station and broadcasting time. Average drama ratings are also influenced by earlier public opinion such as the number of internet searches about the drama.

This paper looks to extract personality traits from the drama characters within a drama script, and to apply it them to a character that has an artificial emotion. The method of applying the personality of a character from a drama script is as follows. First, we separate a drama script into several pieces, by the characters therin. Next, we extract emotion-related terms by matching morphemes analysis and by using an emotion terms database. Next, we analyze a dominant emotion using extracted emotion terms. Finally last, we apply the analyzed dominant emotion to an equation pertaining to artificial emotion. We made progress in developing user evaluation that features blind testing, to verify that the artificial emotion character bears the personality of a drama character. We apply three drama character personalities to artificial emotion characters bearing the same appearance. The user had to match three artificial emotion characters and drama characters according to personality. The users had a high percentage of correct answers, thus confirming the efficacy of our method of applying a personality, using information from a drama script.

This study aims to investigate the impact of science classes employing creative science drama on elementary school students' academic achievement and attitudes toward science during the final step of elementary science classes. The creative science drama used in this study is a class-closing activity wherein the teacher provides a basic script for the learning topic and then allows students to complete the rest of the story using their assignment. It devised a creative science drama class based on the research of Yoon (2016), and the contents of this study were centered on the use of magnets and the appearance of the Earth in the first semester of third grade. Students in their third year at H Elementary School in Gyeonggi-do were the subject of this study. The results showed that scientific achievement through science drama in the experimental class was improved, with a statistically significant difference. However, ANCOVA analysis revealed no statistically significant differences in attitudes toward science. Moreover, there was no statistically significant difference in scientific drama perception. Interviews with students in the experimental class applying science drama revealed that students found difficulty in writing science drama scripts and that coordinating and reaching a mutually acceptable opinion in group activities required the most discussion and cooperation. However, many of them stated that the experience of scientific drama was enjoyable and informative, and since what they learned was transformed into a scientific drama, they remembered the lessons longer.

This study investigated how Korean drama viewing of chinese people influence their formation of Korea's national image as well as their satisfaction through consumption of Korean products. The direct effect and indirect effect of Korean drama viewing on Korea's national image were focused. The survey data on 105 Chinese citizens in Shanghai was put into the analysis. The study found that 1) Korean drama viewing has a positive effect on consumption satisfaction of korean products; 2) Korean drama viewing does not have any direct effect on Korea's national image; 3) the consumption satisfaction of korean products has an positive effect on Korea's national image; 4) Korean drama viewing has an indirect positive effect on Korea's national image, mediated by consumption satisfaction of Korean products. Theoretical and practical implication were discussed.

Korean web drama are undergoing changes before and after the popularization of the OTT platform. The previous web drama were mainly aimed at teenagers, with school content as a genre feature, and the active casting of new idols and the use of B-grade emotions as production characteristics. After the popularization of OTT represented by YouTube and Netflix, there are signs of significant change. This study examined the hyperrealistic content characteristics of the web drama , which can be the center of the change. Through this, it was considered that has a greatly changed aspect from previous web dramas through stereoscopic typification, emphasis on detailed expression, active use of experiential narrative characteristics, and a new media creator-centered production method.

This study examines the strategy of delivering the drama's poet Kim Soo-young and his literary works to the public through the drama (2004). This drama shows Kim's inner self and his literary view by inserting poems into scenes where the poet suffers internal conflict, while presenting relatively less well-known poems to broaden the public's understanding of poetry. In addition, the drama maintains viewers' interest by properly placing elements of conflict, and effectively shows how the conflict affected his life and the world of time. Therefore, the drama is a meaningful text that embodies a poet named Kim Soo-young in three dimensions along with the historical transformation and social problems of the time and the literary chapter of the time through the video.

Science drama can be an useful tool for understanding the nature of science, Science-Technology-Society relationship by providing indirect experiences to young students. Specific science concept and knowledge can also be learned with high interests. In this study, to explore the usefulness of science drama in elementary science lessons, two scripts of science drama and lesson plans were developed and implemented. Six step model for science drama lessons was also suggested. One was 'Manhattan Project' which dealt with social, ethical responsibility in using science & technology (science argument drama), and the other was 'Mom, My blood type is O' which explained the heredity of blood type (science concept drama). Two teachers were asked to write their journals during preparation and implementation of science drama lessons, and the lessons were observed by the researcher and video taped for analysis. Some students were interviewed just after the lessons by the teacher and all students were asked to write their impressions, change of their thought, what is leant etc. Overall responses of students and teachers on the two science drama lessons were very positive, 'Mom, My blood type is O' got more positive responses, and girls were more positive than boys. Some students anticipated another science drama even suggest topics for it. 'Mom, My blood type is O' was successful in making students (grade 3) understand the knowledge related with heredity of blood type (71% of the students got perfect answer). In 'Manhattan Project' students (grade 5) perceived more diverse location of responsibility after the lesson, but the danger and harmfulness of atomic power was embossed. This implied the need of more careful planning for the relevant learning activities before and after the play of science drama.Two teachers perceived the science drama as a new, useful tool for some subject which is hard to deal with by other teaching method. They were also satisfied with students' high interest and engagement during the science drama lessons but the extra time and effort for the lessons were pointed out as a main difficulties.

The recent growth of the national film and broadcasting industry and the international success of korean films and dramas have resulted in enlarging the financial investment of overall film and drama producing system. Many of local governments contend in the inducement of the drama and movie production because building a drama or movie set help to grow the local business. However, the effort of local governments has rarely achieved the long-term effect. The purpose of this paper is to examine the successful examples of the local specialization as drama or movie set, to compare them with other countries, and to analyze the systematic cause of their success. Moreover, this paper tries to suggest few principles to preplan the successful inducement, to increase the positive outcome, and to invigorate the local area.

This study examines the drama "Still in Marronnier Park"(2005) to examine the strategies by which the drama communicates Korean society and literature of the 1960s to the public. The drama focuses on three characters to characterize the historical upheavals of the 1960s and the literary response. In particular, the drama tackles the historical events of the time head-on by introducing characters who are real-life politicians. Therefore, the drama explains historical events through narrators, interviews, and video footage, and at the same time, it helps us understand how political and social events affected the inner lives of Koreans. Through the narratives of Kim Ji-ha and Kim Seung-ok, the drama also conveys how Korean literature responded to unjust realities in the political and social context of the 1960s. Kim Ji-ha's rebellion against those in power and Kim Seung-ok's depiction of her inner landscape are used to portray the response of literature to political reality. Although the drama has the limitation of being somewhat typical, it raises meaningful questions about the meaning of literature in the political and social context of the 1960s and how the memory of the 1960s has left a trace in the minds of Koreans.

The purpose of the study is to explore the attitude of the Korean television drama in mongolia market impact Korea country image, corporate and product's image formation. The research is conducted effects of Korean image, its company, product and belief of its product and influence of procurement of Korean products in Mongolia in terms of Mongolian has enormously watched Korean drama since latest of 1990. Korean drama can influence Korean products image. Watching Kore and rama can influence view of Mongolian in quality of Korean products, design etc. Korean dramas can affect images of Korean company. Watching Korean drama can influence opinion of Mongolian in staff, culture, level of technique of Korean company moreover, competitiveness of Korean company in international market and etc. Korean drama can influence Korean image. Watching Korean drama can reach aspect of Mongolian in Korean education level, national security, reconstruction and income of population and etc. The most effective factor in product reliability and procurement was country image but company image can not influence that. In conclusion according to survey result within Mongolian customers that Korean drama has some influence in Korean image, its company image, product image, and product reliability and procurement of Korean product.
