MR Fluid Polishing을 이용한 커버글래스 측면 연마 조건 최적화에 관한 기초 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of MR Fluid Polishing Conditions for Cover Glass Edge)

  • Currently, the mobile device is required to be miniaturized and lightweight according to the needs of the consumer. For this purpose, each part is produced and assembled in units of modules. Accordingly, the display part is also composed of a cover glass, a touch screen, And it costs a large amount to replace the whole when it is damaged. Therefore, we propose a method to improve the durability of display part using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and MR fluid polishing. Before MR fluid polishing process, surface treatment was performed to obtain a polishable surface. A series of experiments were carried out to very fine surface roughness and to secure durability of cover glass. Polishing depth, feed rate, and abrasive size were selected to examine the MR fluid polishing results.

  • Micro fuel cells have high reliability and long usage time. Among them, PEMFC (polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell) is suitable as a portable power source because it is easy to fix electrolyte and simple structure. The bipolar plate, a key component of the fuel cell, is produced by cutting. In the case of micro fuel cell separator, burr is very small and the flow channel size in the separator is very small. Therefore, it is difficult to remove burrs in the usual way such as a brushing or ultra-sonic method. Therefore, this study proposed electrolytic polishing process and analyzed the characteristics of each condition by introducing the concept of roughness reduction rate. In addition, the ultrasonic process was added to analyze the effect of ultrasonic addition.

배관 압력을 이용한 서보밸브 정적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Static Characteristics of Servo Valves using Transmission Line Pressures)

  • The conventional technique to measure the hysteresis and the null of servo valves is defined in ISO 10770-1 and based on load flow signal of the servo valve. A new technique based on the transmission line pressures is suggested in this study. The new measuring method was verified through a series of experiments. No hysteresis was observed between the spool displacement and the transmission line pressures, load pressure or each chamber pressure. Some hysteresis was observed between valve input and pressures, which was found to be the same as those of load flow and spool displacement for the valve input. By using the chamber pressures, the hysteresis and the null are easier to measure than the load pressure or differential pressure between those two chamber pressures because the chamber pressures showed sharp edges.

  • This paper presents simulation-based analysis of energy flow of a wheel loader. The objective of this study is to analyze the energy flow of a wheel loader during driving and working. Because the wheel loader powertrain consists of a mechanical and hydraulic powertrain, the generated power from the engine is divided into 2 powertrains. Further, a virtual prediction of energy flow in the powertrains is a key factor in terms of optimal design. Accordingly, the simulation model that is able to predict the virtual energy flow is developed and analyzed in this study. The proposed wheel loader simulation model has been constructed in the Matlab/Simulink environment. It is expected that the developed simulation model will analyze the energy flow and efficiency in the design stage.

Construction of a Ginsenoside Content-predicting Model based on Hyperspectral Imaging

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to construct a saponin content-predicting model using shortwave infrared imaging spectroscopy. Methods: The experiment used a shortwave imaging spectrometer and ENVI spectral acquisition software sampling a spectrum of 910 nm-2500 nm. The corresponding preprocessing and mathematical modeling analysis was performed by Unscrambler 9.7 software to establish a ginsenoside nondestructive spectral testing prediction model. Results: The optimal preprocessing method was determined to be a standard normal variable transformation combined with the second-order differential method. The coefficient of determination, $R^2$, of the mathematical model established by the partial least squares method was found to be 0.9999, while the root mean squared error of prediction, RMSEP, was found to be 0.0043, and root mean squared error of calibration, RMSEC, was 0.0041. The residuals of the majority of the samples used for the prediction were between ${\pm}1$. Conclusion: The experiment showed that the predicted model featured a high correlation with real values and a good prediction result, such that this technique can be appropriately applied for the nondestructive testing of ginseng quality.

Position Sensorless Control of PMSM Drive for Electro-Hydraulic Brake Systems

  • This study proposed a fault tolerant control algorithm for electro-hydraulic brake systems where permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive is adopted to boost the braking pressure. To cope with motor position sensor faults in the PMSM drive, a braking pressure controller based on an open-loop speed control method for the PMSM was proposed. The magnitude of the current vector was determined from the target braking pressure, and motor rotational speed was derived from the pressure control error to build up the braking pressure. The position offset of the pump piston resulting from a leak in the hydraulic system is also compensated for using the open-loop speed control by moving the piston backward until it is blocked at the end of stroke position. The performance and stability of the proposed controller were experimentally verified. According to the results, the control algorithm can be utilized as an effective means of degraded control for electro-hydraulic brake systems in the case that a motor position sensor fault occurs.

  • Among the currently available types of fuel, LNG emits a relatively small amount of nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide when it burns in the engine. However, since LNG is a flammable material, leakage during bunkering can lead to accidents, such as fires. Therefore, it is necessary to install a remote operation emergency shut-down (ESD) valve to block the flow and leakage of LNG in an emergency situation that occurs during bunkering. The ESD valve uses a hydraulic driving device consisting of a hydraulic control valve and a hydraulic motor to control globe valve disc displacement, which regulates the flow path for LNG transfer. At this time, there are various nonlinearities in hydraulic driving devices; hence, it is necessary to design a controller with robust control performance against these uncertainties. In this study, modeling of the ESD valve was carried out, and a sliding mode controller to control the displacement of the globe valve disc was designed. As a result, it was confirmed that the designed control performance could be achieved by overcoming nonlinearity characteristics using the designed controller.

가속내구시험 마모영역 판별에 대한 이미지 분석 연구 (A Study on Image Analysis for Determination of Wear Area in Accelerated Durability Test)

  • In the product development process, the reliability of the product can be secured through durability tests. However, since the durability test method is expensive and time consuming, a method to save time and money by utilizing virtual product development (VPD) is required. However, research on the accuracy of the results of virtual product development is required. In this paper, an accelerated durability test was designed and conducted using a planetary gear decelerator. And an analysis model under the same conditions was created and simulated. To correlate the results of the experiment with the results of the analytical model, created a model that can discriminate the wear region using one of the data mining methods, the k-means algorithm method and HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value). The wear area is compared by counting the number of pixels defined as wear through a discrimination model. A similar ratio was calculated by comparing the pixel ratio of the area determined as wear in the entire area. It showed a similar ratio of about 70%, and it is necessary to improve the discrimination method.

농업용트랙터 ROPS 시험의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 측정불확도 추정 (Measurement Uncertainty calculation for improving test reliability of Agricultural tractor ROPS Test)

  • The agricultural tractor ROPS test method according to OECD code 4 is a test to assess whether the driver's safety area can be secured when a tractor overturns, and reliability should be ensured. In this study, a model formula and procedure for calculating measurement uncertainty expressing reliability in the field of agricultural machinery testing were established according to the ISO/IEC Guide 98-3:2008. The characteristics of the ROPS test device were assessed and repeated tests were performed, and the were used as factors to calculate the measurement uncertainty. As a result of repeated tests, the accuracy was higher than 1.9 % in all load directions; thus, they were, applied to calculate the type A standard uncertainty. The final expanded uncertainty was calculated within the range of less than ± 7.76 kN of force and ± 6.96 mm of deformation in all load directions.

밭 농업용 무한궤도 기반 주행 플랫폼 개발 및 성능 분석 (Development and performance analysis of a crawler-based driving platform for upland farming)

  • We developed a crawler-based driving platform that can perform harvesting, transportation, pest control, and rotary operation by equipping it with various implements, and analyzed its performance. This single platform was developed to perform as pepper harvester, peanut harvester, and transporter with a 46-kW engine. A simulation model was developed to study the specifications of the platform, and the accuracy was also analyzed. The absolute percentage error ranged from 0.2 to 5.9%, which made it possible to predict the platform performance using simulation model. In T-test, both torque and speed on field and asphalt showed a significant difference (1%). Driving torque required differed depending on the nature of the field, and the speeds also changed based on soil load. The developed platform has the advantage of being equipped with a variety of working tools, expected to be used to harvest root crops in the future.
