  • Objective : For the purpose of developing Korean herbalogy of the plants to Iridaceae in Korea, the literatures of the successive generations have been thoroughly investigated to prepare this article. Methods : The examined herbalogical books and research paper which published at home and abroad. Results : A list was made about Iridacease plant which are cultivated or grew naturally in Korea, after investigate the data on domestic and foreign Iridaceae plants. Out of those lists, serviceable plants were selected and with those available plants, their distributions were analysed and parts which can be used as medicines were divided into 3 categories such as oriental medicine name, scientific name and non-official name. Iridacease's properties flavor, channels they use and effects were also noted, not to mention their toxicity. Iridacease (grew in Korea) was divided into 6 classes with 32 species. Out of those, 5 classes with 11 species were found serviceable which indicates 34% of all. Out of all 32 specified Iridacease plants, Iris plants were found 27 species, which were shown the most. And 7 classes of Iris plants were also selected the most in serviceable Iridacease. Out of all serviceable parts in Iridaceae, root parts took first place as 6 species. Conclusion ; There were totaled to 6 genera and 32 species in Iridaceae in Korea and among them medicinal plants are 5 genera, 11 species, some 34% in total.

  • Fructans are polyfructose molecules that function as nonstructural storage carbohydrates in several plants. In addition, it has been suggested that, due to their solubility, they can play an important role in helping plants survive periods of osmotic stress. In order to study the effect of levan synthesis on plant growth, the coding region of the levansucrase gene, which was isolated from Zymomonas mobilis, was introduced into tobacco plants using Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation. The presence of the levansucrase gene in transgenic plants was verified by genomic DNA gel blot analysis. RNA gel blot and immunoblot analyses showed an accumulation of the corresponding transcript and protein product of the bacterial levansucrase gene in transgenic plants. Furthermore, a thin layer chromatography analysis revealed that fructans were synthesized and deposited in transgenic tobacco plants. When $T_1$ seeds were germinated and grown under polyethylene glycol-mediated drought stress or cold stress, the transgenic seedlings displayed a substantially higher level of growth than that of untransformed plants. These results suggest that fructans may playa significant role in the tolerance of plants under osmotic stress.

  • The development of medicinal plants for cut plants and landscape plants were conducted through the literiture survey. The results were as follows: We selected 38 species of medicinal plants including 7 medicinal woody plants for cut plant and landscape plants from 450 medicinal plants. There were 8 species of Compositae, 4 species Ranunculaceae, 3 species Rosaceae and Umbelliferae, 2 species Polygonaceae and Campanulaceae respectively. The anthesis of Cornus officinalis, Magnolia denudata, Forsythia koreana of medicinal woody plants flowering before leaf spreading come to early than the anthesis of other medicinal plants. There were 4 species(11%) over 10cm of the flower diameter, 6 species(16%) over 5cm below 10cm, 19 species(50%) over 1cm below 5cm and 9 species(24%) 1cm below. In terms of flower color, 11 species(29%) were white, 9 species(24%) yellow, 6 pecies(16%) red, 5 species(13%) violet and 3 species(8%) were blue aided violet. In terms of the flowering by month, 12 species(32%) on July, 9 species(24%) on May, 6 species(16%) on June and August respectively, and 3 species(8%) on March. The most medicinal plants were propagated by division and seeding easily, but woody medicinal plants of 7 species of this study were propagated by cutting and grafting easily. The percentage of usage of parts of medicinal plants including woody medicinal plants was that roots were 20 species(53%), flowers 6 species(16%), fruits and all part of medicinal plants were 4 species(11%), and seeds and stem including leaves 2 species(5%) respectively.

  • I measure aggregate productivity growth in manufacturing between 1995 and 2013 as defined by Petrin and Levinsohn (2012). I decompose aggregate productivity growth into technical efficiency improvements, resource reallocations, and net entry effects. I find that aggregate productivity growth slows down after 2004 and that the rapid drop in technical efficiency growth contributed most to the decline. In this paper, I focus on the role of young plants with regard to productivity growth of Korean manufacturing. I show that young plants account for nearly half of APG (48%), while their value-added share is 14 percent on average between 1995 and 2013. I find that productivity growth at young plants has been declining for the last ten years. The lower growth of continuing young plants contributes to this trend. These results stress the important role of young plants in aggregate productivity growth and imply that understanding the dynamics of young plants is necessary to form effective start-up policies.

  • The purpose of this study carried out to analyze production status, pricing trend and distribution status of landscape plants, so that it could predict the demand of landscape plants for the balance of supply and demand. The production amount of landscape plants made constantly increased. The annual output of shrubs increased more higher than that of trees. The prices of trees have raised consistently, but shrubs were susceptible to price fluctuations. And there were still many problems in the distribution structure. The landscaping work has focused on the metropolitan area. And large-scale nationwide projects were scheduled for coming years, so the demand of landscape plants was expected to expend. However, the lack of increase in production amounts of landscape plants, it is cause to supply problems. So, demand forecast was necessary to control the production of landscape plants.

  • The production and productivity of $C_3 and C_4$ type plants in Korea was studcied In the areas, in which the summer temperature is above $30^{\circ}C,;C_3$ type plants showed“M” type productivity curves exhibiting two peaks in spring and autumn, and C4 type plants showd “Bell” type productivity curves which show one peak in summer(Figs. 1,2,3,4,5). From the result of researching the standing crop of $C_3 and C_4$type plants dcuring August and September in which the standing crop reaches the highest peak, the dominant plants in the natural grass vegetation were almost all of $C_4$ type plants, showing the high standing crop, while the standing crop of $C_3$ type plants shows its high peak in the humid areas, riversides and dams.
