Controlling fashion waste throughout the entire product lifecycle is critical in a circular economy. This study explored the possibility of establishing a public recycling system for fashion waste. Since consumer interests and participation are essential, theoretical research, social-text analysis, and quantitative research were conducted to identify consumers' perceptions of the public recycling of fashion waste and circular fashion. Data were collected via an online survey among women in their 20-30's living in Korea, and 304 samples were used for data analysis. The results were as follows. First, consumers' perceptions of recycling fashion waste were composed of recycling difficulty, the need for public recycling, and the need for EPR. Circular fashion perception comprised favor, environment protection, attractiveness, economics, quality and hygiene risks, and lack of diversity. Second, the reuse-recycle attitude and need for EPR affected the favor of all types of circular fashion products. Third, environmental concerns impacted attractiveness, and the favor significantly affected the purchase intention of all types of circular fashion products. In particular, quality and hygiene risk negatively affected the purchase intention of used-fashion products, while attractiveness positively impacted the purchase intention of upcycled-fashion products. The results implied that discussing the public recycling system of fashion waste and EPR policy is imperative. The results also showed the need to classify different types of circular fashion products, such as used, upcycled, and regenerated fashion items, to examine consumers' perceptions. In addition, the recycling of the fashion waste scale developed in this study could be used for further research.
With the growing importance of ESG as a must-have business strategy, this study attempted to analyze the current state of ESG practices in the Korean fashion businesses. The ESG cases of fashion business were collected from news articles searched on the largest Korean internet portal by November 2021 from October 2020 when the number of articles began to increase meaningfully. Three hundred ninety one ESG cases of 112 fashion manufacturing brands and 332 ESG cases of 49 retail brands were analyzed. Casual and outdoor/sportswear brands among fashion manufacturers were most active in ESG practices, and various online and offline retailers were practicing ESG. Approximately one-third of the fashion brands were positioned as eco-friendly concept. While environmental practices were the most practiced ESG, governance was the least practiced. Among environmental practices, fashion manufacturing businesses were most active in eco-friendly product development, while retail businesses were in eco-friendly campaign-event-service and eco-friendly packaging. The most active social practice was the contribution to communities, followed by retail businesses' sharing growth with partner businesses. Governance practices were focused on the structure and operation of the board. Various ESG collaborations with various partners were also observed. The research result is meaningful verifying and diagnosing the ESG practices of the Korean fashion businesses.

However most of these trademarks were cancelled by the lawsuit of the Polo Lauren company.
Online recommendation services help people search for an appropriate product among a huge assortment in stores that also minimize consumers' choice overload. People with a need for uniqueness are likely to prefer this online recommendation service based on individual needs and tastes. This study verifies the effect of consumers' choice overload and similarity avoidance in consumers' evaluation towards an online recommendation service with a focus on innovativeness and use comparability. Two-hundred consumers participated in this study and data were collected through an online survey firm. A mock retailer's webpage was created and showed six types of sneakers, which was presented as a result of product recommendation based on consumers' personal information. Data was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), analysis of variance (ANOVA), and regression analysis. The results show that people with a high similarity avoidance perceive an online recommendation service as an innovative and compatible service. They also perceive a high level of use compatibility for an online recommendation service, especially when it is difficult to choose a product under choice overload. Innovativeness and use compatibility of an online recommendation service increase behavioral intention. The results of this study can contribute to strategies to start online recommendation services from online retailers' websites that identify circumstances in which consumers can adopt innovative services in a positive manner.

The purpose of this study was to develop an e-textile using LEDs that can enhance visual and functional effects, and to identify their applicability to sportswear. By applying the design elements of fashion design concretely with LEDs, an e-textile design module is developed and that module is applied to the product, so LED application design can be proposed for use in a practical product. E-textiles have been divided into five categories, and their usefulness were verified by applying e-textiles to men's and women's sportswear. The product beign considered has a built-in tilt sensor, which illuminates the LEDs according to the user's movements, and allows the LEDs to be turned on or off in accordance to the user's preference. E-tatoo is a type of LED application that enhances the appearance by placing LEDs on a small area, emphasizing origin points, just like an actual tattoo. Designed with LEDs arranged in a straight line and various curved forms, e-strips can provide a function that matches the characteristics of each section of clothing or fashion item. E-wappen uses about 7-10 LEDs to give motifs a strong sense of visibility, thus adding to their vibrancy. E-panels and e-clothes were able to produce creative and high-value textures. It is also expected to be used for special purposes or bags as it is possible to produce high value-added textures that are creative and aesthetically beautiful. For instance, a progressive LED string on the straight line of female leggings can further emphasize rhythmic movements during exercise, and e-wappen also serves the purpose of nighttime protection. It is also believed that the application of dance or dance-related sportswear will make the movement of the performance more intense and lively.

The purpose of this study is to develop ICT utilization learning materials for a chapter titled 'Environment Friendly Clothing and Reform of Clothing' in technology and home economics textbooks for Year 2 students in middle school. The research methods were selected from ten types of junior high school technology textbooks, which were revised in 2009, and mainly focused on items such as jeans, shirts, shirts, cardigans, and skirts, Using selected textiles and basic design t-shirts, five works were made using structural and decorative details. The results of this study are as follows. First, textile products shown in the chapter 'Environment Friendly Clothing and Reform of Clothing' are most commonly worn and found in daily life. With regard to a reuse method, structural changes to clothing are proposed. For example, cases relating to the changing of a neckline or the use of a shirt or a sleeve are presented. There are some decoration methods adapted in reuse; using ornaments, such as spangles and emblems, patchwork, shirring and the constucting of collages. Second, following the plan, 5 items are designed with T-shirts, shirts, cardigans and skirts. For the T-shirt design, other fabrics including organza and neoplan are used from design point of view, in addition to reused textile products. Detailed structural changes of necklines, sleeves and collars and detailed and the ornamentation method including shirring, smoking, patchwork and collages are used. Third, this study proposes 6 categories (profile, design planning, diagram, reused textile product, production method and order and pictures of T-shirts developed) under the title of 'T-shirt Made Out of Disposed Clothing', selecting a blog as active teaching and learning material as a part of the ICT utilization in educational settings.

In the fashion enterprises of today, there are many kinds of inter-enterprises' collaborations which are related to the strategic management for reinforcing their competitiveness in various fields. These inter-enterprises' collaborations, which began to increase in the year 2000, will increase even more in the near future. The study investigated the differences of collaboration motive types in collaboration areas, trust/devotion, performance and satisfactions of collaborations, and characteristics of collaborated companies and their partners. A questionnaire was administered to 194 key employees of the fashion enterprises in Korea and the analysis was performed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and $X^2$ test. The results showed that the collaboration motive had four factors: economic efficiency, business expansion, product planning improvement, and brand competitiveness increase. The cluster analysis showed that there were four collaboration motive types: brand competitiveness type, economic efficiency type, product planning type, and passive collaboration type. There were significant differences among the collaboration motive types in regard to collaboration areas, trust/devotion, and the performance/satisfactions of collaboration, and characteristics of companies. The brand competitiveness motive type tended to choose the marketing and brand collaboration areas, had a higher trust, and had higher scores on the performance and satisfactions of collaboration than did the other types.

Demand forecasting plays a key role in overall business activities such as production planning, distribution management, and inventory management. Especially, for a fast-changing environment of the clothing industry, logical forecasting techniques are required. In this study, we propose a procedure to predict product life cycle using data mining algorithms. The proposed procedure involves three steps : extracting key variables from profiles, clustering, and classification. The effectiveness and applicability of the proposed procedure were demonstrated through a real data from a leading clothing company in Korea.

Internet shopping provides convenience to consumers, however, in recent years the consumer's return rate and return-related disputes continue to increase. This article examines the characteristics of return behavior through return experiences of internet clothing purchases. For an empirical study, questionnaires were handed out to 317 undergraduate male and female students, in which the results had been used for data analysis. Data were analyzed through SPSS 12.0 software, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANDVA analysis, Duncan test, and $x^2-test$. The results are the following: The analysis of consumers' return factor for clothes in Internet shopping showed there are five factors: product and quality, delivery, impulse buying, change of mind, and service. There is a significant difference in product quality of return factors depending on the availability of the return experience. Thus, consumers with return experience showed more return tendency owing to product quality factor than consumers without return experience. The availability of consumer's return experience was significantly related to information search. Consumers with return experience showed more consistent information search than consumers without return experience. There were significant differences in perceived risks depending on the availability and degree of consumer's return experience. In other words, consumers with return experience perceived more account related risk than consumers without return experience. Moreover, the more return experience the consumer has, the more risks consumers perceived in product performance.
