서울시 햇빛지도 기반의 RPS제도를 고려한 옥상녹화 연계 태양광발전 시스템의 경제성 분석 (Economics Analysis of Photovoltaic Power Generation Linked with Green Roof in Consideration of Seoul Solar Map-based RPS)

  • In power supply systems for urban areas, issues such as a progressive tax have escalated recently. In this regard, photovoltaic power generation, which is appraised as an alternative power generation system, is drawing attention increasingly for its high stability and applicability to existing infrastructure. This study assessed the realistic feasibility of photovoltaic power generation and also analyzed the economic benefits expected when it is linked with green roof, which is likely to promote ecological functions in urban areas, based on the Seoul solar map, RPS, and actual monitoring data. The economics analysis of 30kW photovoltaic power generation applied with the monthly average horizontal solar radiation of six grades in the Seoul solar map showed that positive NPV was up to grade 4, while grade 5 or poorer showed negative NPV and indicated that it is difficult to assure appropriate feasibility. Compared with non-afforestation, when green roof was applied, monthly average power improvement efficiency was 7.2% at highest and 3.7% at lowest based on yearly actual monitoring data. The annual average was 5.3%, and the efficiency was high relatively in summer, including September and November. As for the economic benefits expected when 30kw photovoltaic power generation is combined with green roof based on the average horizontal solar radiation of grade 1 in the Seoul solar map, SP has improved 0.2 years to 7.4 years, and EP has improved 0.5 years to 8.3 years.

The optimization of ELISA for methamphetamine determination : the effect of immunogen, tracer and antibody purification method on the sensitivity

  • To obtain more sensitive immunoassay for methamphetamine (MA) determination, the optimum condition of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was investigated in regard to immunogens, antibody purification methods and coating tracers. Activated MA, N-(4-aminobutyl)methamphetamine (4-ABMA), was conjugated with bovine serum albumin (BSA) or keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) and used as immunogen. The antibodies were purified by protein G chromatography or various immunoaffinity chromatography-linked MA-protein ligands, such as MA-BSA, MA-KLH or MA-ovalbumin (OVA). Each purified antibody was characterized by means of sensitivity and cross-reactivity using the three MA-protein coating tracers, MA-BSA, MA-KLH and MA-OVA. The best sensitivity of each antibody was acquired with the MA-OVA tracer although the tracer concentration and the antibody titer level at optimum condition were varied. The antibody with high titer level did not always yield good sensitivity. At optimum condition, immunoaffinity chromatography-purified antibodies were better for sensitivity and for specificity than protein G-purified antibodies. The cross-reactivity of the purified antibodies seemed to be affected by immunogen structure and showed somewhat different patterns according to the immunoaffinity ligand utilized. These data show that the antibody purification method as well as choice of coating tracer and immunogen is essential for the sensitivity and specificity of EIA; the optimum condition for assay should be discovered using various methods and combinations.

Optimization-Based Buyer-Supplier Price Negotiation: Supporting Buyer's Scenarios with Suppler Selection

  • Purpose - The paper aims to propose an optimization model for supporting the buyer-seller negotiations. We consider the price, quality, and delivery as evaluation criteria, also recognized as objectives for negotiation. Research design, data, and methodology - The methodology used in this paper involves the input-oriented DEA with the inverse optimization. Under the existence of several potential suppliers, the price would be considered to be the decision variable to conclude the negotiation so as to meet the desired level of the quality and delivery. The data set for six suppliers with three criteria is examined by the proposed approach. Results - We present the decision aid model by displaying the price spectrum as the changes of desired output levels. It overcomes the shortcomings from previous researches mainly based on the discrete types of scenario generations. This approach shows that the obtained results help the buyer understand the trade-offs between price and performance when he/she considers the negotiation. Conclusions - The paper contributes to the numerical models for buyer-supplier negotiation in that the model for the supplier evaluation and selection is closely linked with the model for negotiation. In addition, it eliminates the unrealistic negotiation strategy, and provides the negotiation strategies that the buyer would not shift the burden on suppliers by maintaining the current efficiency.

  • 최근 건설정보가 CAD에서 BIM으로 전환되고 있으며, GIS 분야는 기존 실외공간에서 실내공간으로 확장되고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 건설정보를 GIS와 연계하여 계획 설계 시공의 건설단계는 물론 건설 후 유지관리 및 운영 서비스 단계에서 지속적으로 활용할 필요성이 커지고 있다. 이를 위하여 건설정보와 공간정보의 유기적 결합을 통한 BIM-GIS 상호운용 플랫폼을 구축함에 있어 대용량 3차원 공간객체의 효율적 표현은 필수적인 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 대용량 공간객체를 표현함에 있어 각 레벨별 공간객체와 이에 따르는 텍스처를 효과적으로 생성할 수 있도록 BIM 데이터와 GIS 공간 데이터의 연계활용을 위한 공간데이터 LOD를 설계하고 이를 기반으로 기존의 대용량 공간객체를 경량화할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다.

  • Despite a growing number of natural language processing shared-tasks dedicated to the use of Twitter data, there is currently no ad-hoc annotation tool for the purpose. During the 6th edition of Biomedical Linked Annotation Hackathon (BLAH), after a short review of 19 generic annotation tools, we adapted GATE and TextAE for annotating Twitter timelines. Although none of the tools reviewed allow the annotation of all information inherent of Twitter timelines, a few may be suitable provided the willingness by annotators to compromise on some functionality.

Implementation of a Geo-Semantic App by Combining Mobile User Contexts with Geographic Ontologies

  • This paper describes a GIS framework for geo-semantic information retrieval in mobile computing environments. We built geographic ontologies of POI (point of interest) and weather information for use in the combination of semantic, spatial, and temporal functions in a fully integrated database. We also implemented a geo-semantic app for Android-based smartphones that can extract more appropriate POIs in terms of user contexts and geographic ontologies and can visualize the POIs using Google Maps API (application programming interface). The feasibility tests showed our geo-semantic app can provide pertinent POI information according to mobile user contexts such as location, time, schedule, and weather. We can discover a baking CVS (convenience store) in the test of bakery search and can find out a drive-in theater for a not rainy day, which are good examples of the geo-semantic query using semantic, spatial, and temporal functions. As future work, we should need ontology-based inference systems and the LOD (linked open data) of various ontologies for more advanced sharing of geographic knowledge.

  • Due to digital convergence, mobile embedded systems need more functionalities and a fully fledged OS. Applications for such embedded systems are linked with many shared libraries available in the OS and access a large data set at launch time. This results in increased application launch time. In this paper, we propose two techniques for reducing the application launch time: lazy-loading and pinning. Lazy-loading defers loading shared libraries that are not used in the application at launch time, whereas pinning guarantees the residence of shared libraries and data used at launch time in the main memory.

  • The development of Reinforced Concrete member design modules is necessary for user to design structures easily. The purpose of this paper is to be available for a integrated system used structure design. This module is linked with central database for the benefit of minimizing time of design and user's efforts. In order to minimize memory space, all of data is stored in central database. Member design modules applied Object-Oriented concepts are possible to be reusible, flexible for member functions in classes. This modules can be operated both independent member design modules and a part of integrated system. Sooner or later, this modules will be related to member grouping modules by data.

  • A nuclear power plant construction project normally involves a large construction work of which the total project cost is over 5 trillion Won, Such a large-scale construction project has the risks of schedule delay and quality degradation due to increase in project cost, because designs are changed due to design errors. The reasons for design changes during installation are 1) insufficient engineering capability of the owner, 2) information discontinuance due to the multiple package method, and 3) inefficient constructability review processes. Accordingly, this study proposes, through problem analysis, a method of developing a constructability review system that utilizes constructability review processes and a data-based technology (3D modeling) that are optimized for nuclear power plant construction projects. It also presents a method of establishing a system for reviewing constructability in which constructability review processes and a Database (3D model, Schedule, Design change Items) are linked each other.

  • 과학빅데이터 실험 장비와 ICT 기술의 비약적인 발전으로 엑사바이트 이상 규모의 데이터가 생성되고 있으나, 이러한 빅데이터를 전송하는 기술은 응용과학연구자의 요구에 맞는 수준에 이르지 못하고 있다. 과학빅데이터에 대한 고성능 데이터 전송을 위하여 QoS(Quality of Service) 기반의 다양한 기술이 개발되고 있지만, 기반이 되는 인프라 네트워크의 전반적인 변경을 요구하기도 한다. 반면 ScienceDMZ 기술은 전송 성능에 큰 지장을 초래하는 방화벽을 우회함으로써, 과학빅데이터 전송 성능 향상을 도모하며, 또한 기존 네트워크의 큰 변화 없이 구현이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는, KREONET(국가과학기술연구망) 기반의 국제간 장거리 환경에서 과학빅데이터 고속 전송을 통하여 ScienceDMZ를 구축하고 성능을 검증하였다. 또한, ScienceDMZ의 확장으로써, GPU 플랫폼을 분산 환경에서 연계하는 방안을 소개하고자 한다.
