고속도로 사고잦은 지점 분석방법 연구 (An Analysis of the Hazardous Highway Segments Using Continuous Risk Profile Method)

  • We have to develop more correct and systematic way to choose Hazardous Highway Segments. In this research, we applied CRP(Continuous Risk Profile) technique which developed by UC Berkeley Traffic Safety Center in year of 2007, and can analyze yearly dangerous level tendency of continuity in the route of main road that is under California Department of Transportation(Caltrans). We changed standard of CRP to suit in Korean circumstance with consideration in radius of curve and traffic volume. For the verification by actual accident data, we embodiment the CRP by using the data from total of 587 case of accident in latest 10 years in Gyeong-Bu Highways, the amount of 56km. Finally, the effectiveness of technique in this research has been verified by obtained same result with current method for Hazardous Highway Segments. In addition, when calculating the Hazardous Highway Segments with technique that presented in this research we obtained following statements. First, identified dangerous level of continuity in the route by using CRP. Second, Accurate of Actual Hazardous Highway Segments selection has been developed by using last 10 year's data and profile making which provide simplicity analyze of Tendency. Third, after reforming the way of selection, effective range has been wider than former selection and it gives advantage for the policy side.

Success Factors of Highway Construction Projects in Egypt: AHP Approach

  • While the idea of the existence of a set of key factors for success in planning, designing and construction of projects is not new, it remains one of the most important issues in the field of construction management. This is due to project success factors are inputs to project management practice which can lead directly or indirectly to project success. This study identifies the success factors which can be used for improving the highway projects performance in Egypt during the project pre-construction and construction phases. Through a detailed literature review 35 success factors are identified. Furthermore, the AHP is adopted to prioritize the studied factors through the application of questionnaire survey. The study establishes that implementing an effective quality control and assurance systems, allow sufficient time for feasibility studies, design, drawing and tender preparation, effective cost control system and frequency of project budget updates, preparing adequate designs and drawings and determining sufficient time to implement the desired scope of work are the most important success factors for enhancing the highway projects performance in Egypt.

  • Ka-Hwa highway bridge, located in a corrosive marine environment, had been examined the current condition of reinforcement corrosion in concrete throughout half-cell potentials, electrical resistivity, chloride contamination of concrete, and visual observation. According to the test, the chloride corrosion reinforced concrete structure is not only the protecting film around the reinforcement is deteriorated but also corrosion activity develops, for example, delamination areas of concrete. The purpose of this paper is to report the effects of Ka-Hwa highway bridge damaged by chlodide attack and to present the results of repair of Ka-Hwa highway concrete bridge in domestic marine environment.

  • SMART Highway 사업은 첨단 IT통신과 자동차 및 도로 기술이 접목된 세계 최고수준의 빠르고 편안한 지능형 녹색도로 실현을 목표로 하고 있다. SMART Highway의 도로-자동차 기반 교통운영에서 핵심기술인 VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)은 다수의 차량들이 무선통신을 이용하여 차량 간 통신 또는 차량과 RSU(Road Side Unit)사이의 통신을 제공하는 차세대 네트워킹 기술이다. 특히, 운전자의 안전에 직접적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있는 V2V 통신의 경우 차량 간의 안전한 통신을 위해 차량 간 상호인증이 반드시 고려되어야 한다. 이처럼 빠른 속도로 이동하는 차량 간 인증이 원활이 이루어지기 위해서는 기존의 네트워크에서 사용된 인증방식은 그대로 적용시키기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다수의 차량 간 통신 시에 보다 효율적인 차량 인증을 위해 카운팅 블룸필터를 이용한 차량 인증 기법을 제안한다.

Effect of the Existing Rust on Bond Strength of Concrete and Reinforcement

  • An experimental investigation on the relationship between corrosion of reinforcement and bond strength in pull-out test specimen has been conducted to establish the allowable limit of rust of reinforcement in the construction field. The reinforcing bars used in this study were rusted before embedded in pull-out test specimen. The first component of this experiment is to make reinforcing bar rust electrically based on Faraday's theory to be 2, 4, 6, 8 and $10\%$ of reinforcing bar weight. For estimation of the amount of rust by weight, Clarke's solution and shot blasting were adopted and compared. Parameters also include 24 and 45MPa of concrete compressive strengths and diameter of reinforcing bar (16, 19 and 25mm). Pull-out tests were carried out according to KS F 2441 and ASTM C 234. Results show that up to $2\%$ of rust increases the bond strength regardless of concrete strength and diameter of reinforcing bar. As expected, the bond strength increases as compressive strength of concrete increases and the diameter of bar decreases.

고속도로변 토양과 퇴적물의 중금속 장기 오염 특성 (Long-term Characteristics of Heavy Metal Contamination in Highway Roadside Soil and Sediment)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로변 토양과 퇴적물의 중금속 농도 조사를 위해 7개 지점의 고속도로 털선 주변 토양, 5곳의 IC 주변 토양, 2 지점의 배수로 퇴적물에 대하여 6년간의 장기 조사를 실시하였다. 고속도로 본선 주변 토양에서 아연, 니켈, 구리 농도는 연도별로 점차 증가 추세를 나타내고 있으며, 조사된 중금속중 검출농도가 가장 높게 나타나고 있어 토양오염을 증가 시킬 수 있는 대표적 물질로 나타났다. 누적교통량과 고속도로 본선토양의 아연, 니켈, 구리농도가 높은 선형관계를 나타내는 것으로 조사되어, 연평균 누적 교통량 예측을 통해 고속도로 본선 토양의 단기적인 중금속 오염 농도를 예측 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

도로자산관리시스템의 업무아키텍처 설계 (Business Architecture Design of a Highway Asset Management System)

  • 사회기반시설의 노후화로 유지보수 비용이 급격하게 증가하고 있는 선진국뿐만 아니라 국내에서도 시설물을 체계적으로 관리하여 안전사고를 예방하고 유지보수 예산을 절감해야 할 필요성이 날로 증대하고 있다. 뉴질랜드, 미국, 영국 등은 시설물의 공학적 상태와 성능에 따라 시설물을 유지보수하는 업무에 자산관리 개념을 도입하여 공공시설물을 관리하고 있다. 이들 나라들은 공공시설물 자산관리에 적용할 표준화된 자산관리 정보모델을 제시하고 시스템으로 개발하여 운용하고 있다. 국내에서도 공공시설물 자산관리 연구가 진행 중에 있으며, KTAM-40 자산관리 업무절차가 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 공공시설물 중에서 도로자산관리시스템의 업무아키텍처 설계를 위하여 뉴질랜드 IIMM과 국내에서 개발된 KTAM-40 업무절차를 조사 분석하였다. 그리고 KTAM-40 업무절차를 참조하여 도로 자산관리시스템의 업무아키텍처를 설계하였다. 업무아키텍처는 첫째, 도로자산관리를 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 조직구조와 역할을 설정하고, 둘째로 도로자산관리 업무기능을 세분화하고, 셋째로 자산관리 업무기능들 간의 관계와 업무 기능들간 정보와 흐름을 정의하였다. 그리고 설계된 업무아키텍처가 유사한 업무 시스템의 다른 아키텍처와의 차별성을 검토하였다.

남북한 도로교 설계트럭하중 분석 (Study on Design Vehicle Loads of South and North Korean Highway Bridges)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to analyze different vehicle load effects for a bridge design of South and North Korea in order to prepare a common design specification and to secure the safety of transportation when the highway bridges of South and North Korea use together. METHODS: Based on the literature review, this study considers vehicle load effects by comparing different characteristics of the standard vehicle and other differences of the bridge design specification between South and North Korea. And structural modeling of three-span continuous PSC Beam Bridge are analyzed and the bridge capacity according different vehicle loads of South and North Korea is evaluated. RESULTS: The result of this study indicates that the bridge capacity and the design vehicle weight of North Korea are smaller than the bridge capacity and the design vehicle weight of South Korea. Also this study demonstrates that the design vehicle array and other characteristics of North Korea are very different than the design vehicle array and other characteristics of South Korea. CONCLUSIONS: It is expected that the outcomes of this study can be useful in the set-up of South-North Bridge Specification because similar previous studies are rarely found.

접근성 지표의 알고리즘을 이용한 2011년과 2017년의 우리나라 고속도로 분석 (Analysis on the Korean Highway in 2011 and 2017 Using Algorithms of Accessibility indices)

  • 본 논문에서는 우리나라 고속도로의 교통망의 연결성을 분석하기 위하여 새로운 접근성 지표의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 먼저 2011년과 2017년 우리나라의 고속도로 교통망을 그래프로 나타낸 운송네트워크를 구한다. 그리고 그래프 이론의 연결수, 비교거리, 접근지표, 연결도, 산포지수, 지름 등의 개념을 이용하여 2011년과 2017년 우리나라의 고속도로 교통망을 분석하고 비교한다. 이를 위하여 주어진 운송네트워크로부터 다양한 접근성 지표를 쉽게 얻을 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 본 연구의 시뮬레이션 결과를 이용하여 고속도로의 운송네트워크에서 교통의 중심이 되는 도시를 찾을 수 있다. 또 네트워크에는 편입되어 있지만 상대적으로 교통이 낙후된 도시를 찾아, 향후 전국의 교통의 연결성을 높이는 기초자료로 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 더욱이 고속도로 교통망을 모델로 하는 접근성 지표의 알고리즘을 제안하면 각 도시들의 접근성 공간구조를 파악할 수 있고, 교통을 포함한 각종 지역계획과정에서 효율적이고 합리적인 대안선정을 위한 기준을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

A Case Study of Concrete Pavement Deterioration by Alkali-Silica Reaction in Korea

  • The concrete pavement of the Seohae Highway in Korea has suffered from serious distress, only four to seven years after construction. Deterioration due to Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) has seldom been reported per se in Korea, because the aggregate used for the cement concrete has been considered safe against alkali-silica reaction so far. The purpose of this study is to examine the deterioration caused by an alkali-silica reaction of concrete pavement in Korea. The investigation methods included visual inspection and Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN) analysis of surface cracks, coring for internal cracks, stereo microscopic analysis, scanning electronic microscope (SEM) analysis, and electron dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX) analysis. The results are presented as follows: the crack pattern of the concrete pavement in Korea was longitudinal cracking, map cracking or D-cracking. Local areas of damage were noticed four to five years after construction. The cracks started from edges or joints and spread out to slabs. The most intensive cracking was observed at the intersection of the transverse and longitudinal joints. Where cracking was the most intense, pieces of concrete and aggregate had spalled away from top surface and joint interface area. The progress of deterioration was very fast. The reaction product of alkali-silica gel was clearly identified by its generally colorless, white, or very pale yellow hue seen through a stereo optical microscopy. The typical locations of the reaction product were at the interface between aggregate and cement paste in a shape of a rim, within aggregate particles in the cracks, and in the large void in the cement paste. Most of the white products were found at interface or internal aggregates. SEM and EDX analysis confirmed that the white gel was a typical reaction product of ASR. The ASR gel in Korea mainly consisted of Silicate (Si) and Potassium (K) from the cement. The crack in the concrete pavement was caused by ASR. It seems that Korea is no longer safe from alkali-silica reaction.
