The Effect of Motivated Consumer Innovativeness on Perceived Value and Intention to Use for Senior Customers at AI Food Service Store

  • Purpose: This study investigates the use intention of artificial intelligence (AI) food service stores for senior customers, which are becoming a trend in the service industry. Research design, data and methodology: For the study, the extended technology acceptance model (TAM) and motivated consumer innovativeness (MCI) variables, proven by existing researchers, were used. In addition to the effect of motivated consumer innovativeness on customer value, we investigated the effect of customer value on trust and use intention. For the study, 520 questionnaires were distributed online by an expert survey agency. Data was verified through validity and reliability. Results: The analysis results of the research hypothesis verified that functionally motivated consumer innovativeness (fMCI), hedonically motivated consumer innovativeness (hMCI), and socially motivated consumer innovativeness (sMCI) all had positive effects on usefulness and enjoyment. Furthermore, usefulness had a statistically significant positive effect on trust, but perceived enjoyment did not; trust was found to positively affect the intention to use. Conclusions: We compared the moderating effects of seniors' gender and age (at 60) between groups. Although there was no moderating effect of age, it was verified that regarding the effect of usefulness on trust, the male group showed a greater influence than the female group.

후쿠시마 원전사고 및 방사능 오염에 대한 인식조사 (An Investigation of Awareness on the Fukushima Nuclear Accident and Radioactive Contamination)

  • 연구배경: 본 연구는 일본 후쿠시마 원전사고 이후 원전사고 및 방사능 오염에 대한 우리 국민들의 인식도를 확인하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 재료 및 방법: 설문조사는 수도권에 거주하는 성인 600명을 대상으로 하였다. 결과 및 논의: 연구 결과, 대다수 국민들은 일본 원전사고로 인한 방사능 누출이 우리나라에 영향을 미치고 있다고 우려하였다. 식품, 특히 수산물의 방사능 오염에 대한 우려가 높았고, 선호하는 정보 취득원은 TV(49.8%)와 인터넷 매체(31.3%)였다. 한편 다수의 국민들은 일본 원전사고 및 방사능 오염 정보가 충분히 제공되지 않았고, 원전사고 이후 우리 정부의 대응조치를 잘 모르고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 국민 대다수가 식품 환경 등의 방사능 오염 정도와 안전성에 대한 정보제공 강화가 가장 중요한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 결론: 본 연구 결과는 향후 방사능에 대한 올바른 인식 확립과 방사능 안전사고 리스크커뮤니케이션을 위한 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

탐색적 자료 분석(EDA) 기법을 활용한 온라인 해외직접구매에 대한 소비자 불만족 및 제도 개선 방안 연구 (A Researh for Consumer Dissatisfaction and Institutional Improvement of The Overseas Direct Purchase using Exploratory Data Analysis)

  • 최근 인터넷 채널의 확장, 금융 기술과 정보통신기술이 발달하면서 해외직접구매가 확대되었다. 해외직접구매는 비교적 저렴한 가격의 제품과 국내에서 구하기 힘든 제품을 제공함으로써 소비자에게 가격, 희소성 면에서 유리한 위치를 선점하고 있지만, 아무래도 국내에서 구매하는 것보다 배송, 제품, A/S·환불 면에서 소비자 불만족이 발생할 확률이 높다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 해외직접구매 활성화에 따른 소비자 불만족을 분석하고 해외직접구매 문제점의 개선 방안을 연구하였다. 연구 방법으로 한국소비자원, 관세청, 한국무역협회에서 여러 통계자료를 수집했고, 탐색적 자료 분석 기법(EDA)을 활용해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 소비자는 해외직접구매 관련 정보에 대해 잘 알지 못한다는 것과 구매 유형에 따라 소비자 불만 유형이나 정도가 달라짐을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 EDA를 활용하여 해외직접구매의 전체적인 현황과 소비자 불만족을 파악하고 이에 따른 해외직접구매의 개선 방안을 제시함으로써 해외직접구매의 활성화 방향을 제시하는데 시사점이 있다.

국내 온라인 쇼핑 할인 행사 '사이버 핫데이즈' 에서의 소비자 행동 연구 (A Study of Consumer Behavior on Online Shopping Discount Event - Cyber hot Days - in Korea)

  • US Retailers consider two major holiday shopping days as their most profitable-the Friday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Monday after Thanksgiving, CyberMonday. Online shopping discount events have boosted up the shopping markets resulting in pumping up National economy. For such reasons, Korea also has launched online shopping discount event, which is called 'Cyber hot days'. The primary purpose of this paper is to understand consumer behavior on Cyber hot days and suggest how retailers can harness those consumer behaviors and how government agency can support both retailers and consumers to boost up shopping markets. The results of empirical test shows that economic value, emotional value, and product variety were found to be significantly related to consumers' attitude on Cyber hot days, but convenience value, social value, and product uniqueness were not. Consumers' attitude was also found to be significantly related to the repurchase intention. It implicates that price, enjoyment, and product variety are important aspects to Korean consumers when they purchase during online shopping discount event.

The Status of Damage Relief in the Cosmetics Industry and the ADR System

  • Cosmetics are products that consumers use every day to maintain or improve the health of their skin and hair. Therefore, the expansion of the cosmetics market leads to the expansion of disputes over cosmetic damage. Along with constant social changes, new conflicts continue to arise. In order to resolve these disputes, various consumer dispute resolution organizations and methods are required. Therefore, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), an alternative method that can provide a reasonable judgment on problems that occur during the manufacture and distribution of cosmetics with expert knowledge of the industry, is required. Korea resolves disputes between consumers and manufacturers caused by cosmetics through the ADR of the Korea Cosmetics Association and the Korea Consumer Agency. It handles disputes related to accidents caused by cosmetics, offers consultation on consumer complaints on cosmetics and provides information on accidents and safety related to cosmetics. It is not possible to completely eradicate disputes from cosmetic damages. Therefore, it is necessary to expand and efficiently operate the cosmetic ADR system for consumers. In this study, the current status of cosmetic damage disputes and damage relief and the role of the domestic ADR system were reviewed. Consumers should be easily relieved from damage caused by cosmetics. By accumulating important precedents with an efficient cosmetic damage dispute resolution system, disputes over cosmetic damage should be smoothly resolved.

소비자 관점에서 본 주택 및 인테리어 하자 실태 분석 및 인테리어 서비스 평가 (Analysis on Defect Disputes in Housing & Interior Design from Consumers' Perspective and Interior Design Service Evaluation)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate defect cases in residential interior design, to identify the state of defects, and to categorize types of defect and disputes. In addition, consumer appraisal to residential interior design service were analyzed. The results of this study could provide fundamental information regarding the defects and claims in residential interior design. First, we did literature review for defect disputes in architectural design and interior design. We identify the definition of defects by building life cycle, by state of construction, by activity, and by design performance. Second, we analysed interior design defects cases reported in Korea Consumer Agency & Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. A total of 49 cases of defect disputes in residential interior design from 2000 to 2015 were investigated. As a result, many defects appeared during the construction stage. A majority of defects cases fall into insulation, water-proofing/leakage work. In terms of design aspects claim, functional and aesthetic defects were claimed. Third, from Consumer Market Evaluation Indicators, raw data from 500 respondents were investigated for the housing repair and interior design. It is found that information comparability, responsiveness to consumer claim, price, and safety are important factors for consumer satisfaction in interior design.

가계부 기록이 가계의 재무건전성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Keeping Financial Records on Financial Soundness of Households)

  • The Purpose of this study is to find the levels of keeping financial records among Korean households and to reveal the effect of keeping financial records on financial soundness of households. The 2014 Consumer Empowerment Index of the Korean consumer agency, which includes the surveyed results of 1,000 individuals, was analyzed as a secondary dataset. As a result, the following findings emerged during the study. First, 25.9% of consumers replied that they were keeping financial records. Factors associated with keeping financial records were gender and income. Women were more likely to keep financial records than men. Also, income had significant effects on keeping financial records. Second, levels of meeting percentages of financial ratios were highest in the debt to income ratio, which was 81.5%, and lowest in the investment ratio, which was 14.5%. Furthermore, 52.6% met the savings ratio, 40.6% met the emergency funds ratio, 24.6% met the retirement savings ratio. Meeting a percentage of the savings ratio did not fluctuated for 16 years, although the debt to income ratio has decreased around 15% since 1998. Third, keeping a household account book had signigicant influences on meeting percentages of financial ratios. Magnitudes of effects ranged between 1.4-1.8 odds, which were as much as the income effects. In summary, effects of keeping financial records were evidenced in this study. It is suggested that the importance of keeping financial records should be stressed in financial education and counseling programs.

해외직접구매의 혜택지각 및 위험지각 요인이 소비자 평가에 미치는 영향 (The effects of benefit perception and risk perception on consumer evaluation during overseas direct purchase)

  • 본 연구는 해외직접구매 사이트에 대한 소비자 태도를 유발하는 요인들을 혜택지각요인, 위험지각요인, 제품측면, 웹사이트측면에서 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써 각각의 요인들의 상대적인 영향력을 비교하였다. 이를 위해 해외직접구매 경험이 있는 한국소비자 298명을 대상으로 실증분석 하였다. 분석결과 해외직접구매 사이트에 대한 신뢰수준에 가장 높은 영향을 미치는 요인은 배송위험과 제품성능위험으로 나타났다. 또한 해외직접구매 사이트에 대한 신뢰수준은 추천의도와 지속적 이용의도에도 강력한 영향력을 가진다는 것을 본 연구결과를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 아울러 본 연구는 해외직접구매의 유형(해외직접배송, 해외구매대행, 해외배송대행)과 소비자들이 주요하게 구매하는 제품군(의류, 식 음료품, 가전제품)에 따라 평균차이검정을 수행하였다. 이를 통해 각각의 해외직접구매 서비스 관련 주체별, 소비자 특성별로 적용될 수 있는 다양한 실무적 시사점들을 제안하고자 하였다.

소비자 중심의 OTT 서비스 가치가 소비자 인식을 통해 OTT 플랫폼 선택에 미치는 영향 (Impact of consumer-oriented OTT service value on OTT platform selection through consumer perception)

  • 디지털 시대의 도래와 함께 전 세계적으로 확산한 온라인 스트리밍 서비스, 특히 OTT(Over The Top) 서비스는 소비자들에게 주요 콘텐츠 소비 매체로 자리매김하여 그 경쟁이 치열해지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 OTT 서비스를 소비자 관점에서 미디어 소비 패턴에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 소비자 중심의 서비스 가치가 OTT 플랫폼 선택, 소비자 만족도, 브랜드 충성도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대해 연구하였으며, 콘텐츠의 다양성, 사용 용이성, 가격성, 브랜드 인지도, 개인화 서비스 등 다양한 요소들을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 콘텐츠의 다양성, 사용 용이성, 가격성은 소비자 만족도와 브랜드 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 나타났으며, 이는 OTT 플랫폼 선택에도 중요한 동기가 됨을 보여준다. 반면, 개인화 서비스는 예상과 달리 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이 연구는 OTT 서비스 제공자들이 소비자 중심의 가치를 강화하고 경쟁력 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 전략 수립에 중요한 통찰을 제공한다.

의료분쟁조정법 시행에 따른 성과와 과제 (The Outcomes and Tasks of Act on Medical Dispute Mediation)

  • After several bills for the reasonable medical dispute resolution had been proposed for over twenty years, "Act on Remedy for Damage from Medical Accident and Medical Dispute Mediation" was eventually enacted on April 7, 2011 and came into effect from April 8, 2012. This study evaluates the achievements and results of the past year, suggesting the future improvements or tasks. The main issue of Act on Medical Dispute Mediation is Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency. Therefore, the success of the Act depends on the outcomes of Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency. Although the Act has been enforced for only one year, this paper examines the outcomes of the Agency with limited materials for its development. Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency was established for rapid, fair, and effective medical dispute resolution. Thus, the evaluation of the performances of the Agency is based on the 1) rapidness, 2) fairness, and 3) effectiveness of the dispute resolution. To sum up, the system earned positive evaluations as for the rapidness and fairness, but some problems were indicated with regard to the effectiveness. As the system of medical dispute mediation and arbitration in Korea has no parallel in the world, other countries show many interests in it. The rapid and fair medical dispute resolution is of benefit in both patients and medical institutes and decreases social costs. As the Act had a difficult passage through Parliament, it should be maintained and improved continuously.
