The genus Opius Wesmael, 1835 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Opiinae) generally parasitizes larvae of Agromyzidae, Anthomyiidae, Drosophilidae, Tephritidae, Ephydridae and Cecidomyiidae, of which 32 species are recorded in South Korea. In China, seven new species of the genus Opius have been known. Among them, Opius crenuliferus Li & van Achterberg, 2013 is reported for the first time in South Korea. Specimen was collected by sweeping in West Daeshin-dong, Busan, Korea. In this study, description, and diagnostic illustration of O. crenuliferus are provided.

Stenomacrus deletus (Thomson, 1897), belonging to Orthocentrinae of Ichneumonidae, is newly recognized in South Korea. Most Stenomacrus species are known as koinobiont endoparasitoids of dipteran, lepidopteran, and coleopteran hosts. In this study, an additional species is recorded for the first time from South Korea. Diagnoses of genus and an unrecorded species, as well as illustrations of this species are provided.

The genus Ephedrus Haliday, 1833 is a large taxon of Aphidiinae, consisting of 48 valid species in the world. This genus is considered to be important as a biological control agency, which includes solitary koinobiont parasitoids on aphids. One of its interesting characteristics is both male and female have 11-segmented antennae. In previous study, this genus was subdivided into three subgenus, Breviephedrus, Ephedrus and Fovephedrus, based on molecular and morphological characters. In this study, one Ephedrus species is firstly recorded from South Korea. Since it has been collected from Geumsan-gun in 2005 and deposited as dried specimen at Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Netherland, we recently confirmed it. Description and illustrations of the E. lacertosus are provided.

A new species, Venturia tenuiabdominalis Choi sp. nov., belonging to the subfamily Campopleginae, family Ichneumonidae, is described in South Korea. The subfamily Campopleginae was recorded by Forster in 1869 based on genus Campoplex and more than 2,100 described species into 66 genera have been reported worldwide. Among the 66 genera of Campopleginae, the genus Venturia is one of the large groups, which is more than 140 species worldwide (Yu et al., 2016; Vas, 2019a; 2019b; Vas, 2020; Vas and Di Giovanni, 2020; Han et al., 2021). A taxonomic study of South Korean Venturia was initiated by Choi et al. (2012), who reported Venturia longipropodeum (Uchida, 1942). A key to species of South Korean Venturia, description of new species and diagnostic illustrations are provided.

The genus Rhogadopsis Brethes, 1913 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Opiinae), which mostly parasitizes mining flies (Diptera: Agromyzidae), has been considered to subgenus in the genus Opius Wesmael, 1835. However, according to having the derived wing venation and forming a monophyletic clade, the genus Rhogadopsis is elevated to generic rank. As results of faunal survey in Yeoseo-do, Jeonnam, South Korea, the male specimen of Rhogadosis obliqua were collected by sweeping. Diagnosis, description, distribution and diagnostic illustration of Rhogadopsis obliqua are provided.

The genus Phaedrotoma Foerster, 1862 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Opiinae) parasitize in larvae of flies, Tephritidae, Agromyzidae, Ephydridae, Anthomyiidae, Scathophagidae, and Drosophilidae, of which 12 species are recorded in South Korea. As results of our survey, Phaedrotoma rugulifera Li et al. (2013) and Phaedrotoma vermiculifera Li et al. (2013) are reported for the first time in South Korea. Those specimens were collected by sweeping. Descriptions, and diagnostic illustrations of P. rugulifera and P. vermiculifera are provided.

The genus Bitomus Szepligeti, 1910 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Opiinae) is known to parasitize in mining flies (Diptera: Agromyzidae), of which four species are recorded in Korea. Bitomus was revised by Fischer (1987, 1994) and recently treated by Papp (1978, 1981) in Korea. Bitomus is distinguished from other genera by the immovably joined second-third or fourth metasomal tergites, forming a carapace. In this study, Bitomus indicus is recognized for the first time in Korea. This study provides a diagnosis, description, distribution, and diagnostic illustrations.

The genus Areotetes van Achterberg & Li, 2013 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Opiinae), which is endoparasitoid of mining or infesting of fruit dipterous larvae, have been reported for the first time in China. Currently, four species of the genus Areotetes have been known from the province Hunan and Fujian, China. In this study the genus Areotetes with Areotetes carinuliferus van Achterberg & Li, 2013 is reported for the first time from Korea. Material studied in the present study were collected by sweeping in Mt Gongchi, Eochungdo, Province Jeonbuk, Korea. Herein, diagnosis of genus, description, distribution, and diagnostic illustration of A. carinuliferus are provided. In addition, DNA barcode data of the partial gene of mitochondrial cytochorome c oxidase subunit I (COI) are included.
