퍼지제어기를 이용한 비행 자세제어 (Flight Attitude Control of using a Fuzzy Controller)

  • 본 논문에서는 비행물체의 운동에 기초한 지능제어 알고리즘을 사용하여 대기의 환경적 요인과 기체형태 및 추력의 인위적 요인들간의 복잡한 함수관계를 지식과 경험에 의한 제어규칙으로서 비행안정성 확보와 자율비행을 위한 비행 자세제어를 행하였다. 비행 자세제어를 위하여 사용한 지능제어기는 다변수 입력 및 출력이 가능하며 강인성을 지닌 퍼지제어기를 사용하였다. 실험을 위해 모형비행기와 자세 검출용 센서를 제작하고, 비행 전문가의 지식과 경험을 기초로 하여 작성한 제어규칙에 의하여 프로그램 된 퍼지제어기를 수 차례의 시험비행을 통해 제어규칙을 조정한 결과 안정된 자세제어를 행할 수 있었다

  • 제조 라인의 설계에 있어서 물류설비의 선정은 매우 중요한 부분이다. 생산라인의 특성을 충분히 고려하여 물류설비를 선정하기 위해서는 다양한 요소들이 고려되어야 하며 그 요소들 가운데는 정량적인 요소(예, 자재 부피, 무게)들 뿐만 아니라 정성적인 요소(예, 유지 보수, 통합성)들도 포함된다. 정량적인 요소는 해당 물류설비의 사양 등을 통해 보다 쉽게 평가가 가능하지만 정성적인 요소는 객관적인 분석이 매우 어려운 부분이다. 실제 사례에서도 물류설비선정 시 정량적인 요소들만 검증되고 정성적인 요소들은 대부분 배제되는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 물류설비의 보다 효율적인 평가 및 선정을 위해 정량적인 요소뿐만 아니라 정성적인 요소들을 반영할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전문가 지식 기반의 룰 (Rule) 및 퍼지 로직을 연계한 통합 방안을 개발하였다. 우선 전문가 지식 기반의 룰을 통해 해당 공정간 적절한 물류설비 유형 및 가능한 대안 유형들을 찾아내고 이들 중 정성적인 요소들까지를 반영하여 최적의 물류설비를 선정하기 위해 퍼지이론이 적용되었다. 본 연구를 통해 퍼지 이론의 제조 물류부분 적용 가능성을 제시하였다.

체계적인 힌팅 인터페이스 설계 방법의 연구 (A Systematic Method of Hinting Interface Design)

  • Most users learn new, complex systems through trial-and-error experience rather than referring to the manuals in a cognitive process that is called 'exploratory learning'. While exploring a system, people find prototypical rules for using the system based especially on frequent tasks. The rules are formed from consistent task procedures and well-expected interface elements on the designed system. These rules play the role of the basis of users' knowledge for performing tasks. The decision making to select and apply those rules interacting with an interface can be aided by properly provided hints on the interface. With appropriate hints, users can learn new systems easily and use them with reduced usability problems. This paper first reports an observation of user behavior performing tasks with prototypical interaction rules and finds a sound set of criteria to extract prototypical interaction rules systematically. Two types of hints are defined. Extending hints prompt users to apply prototypical interaction rules beyond well-known tasks. Preventive hints guide users out of possible capture errors by drawing attention to the variation of rules. A systematic and practical method is proposed to identify the opportunities for both types in designing interfaces. It is then verified through a usability test that the proposed method is effective in identifying the locations and types of appropriate hints to reduce or mitigate usability problems.

  • The discovery of tacit knowledge from domain experts is one of the most exciting challenges in today\`s knowledge management. The nature of decision knowledge in determining the quality a firm\`s short-term liquidity is full of abstraction, ambiguity, and incompleteness, and presents a typical tacit knowledge extraction problem. In dealing with knowledge discovery of this nature, we propose a scheme that integrates both knowledge elicitation and knowledge discovery in the knowledge engineering processes. The knowledge elicitation component applies the Verbal Protocol Analysis to establish industrial cases as the basic knowledge data set. The knowledge discovery component then applies fuzzy clustering to the data set to build a fuzzy knowledge based system, which consists of a set of fuzzy rules representing the decision knowledge, and membership functions of each decision factor for verifying linguistic expression in the rules. The experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme can effectively discover the expert\`s tacit knowledge, and works as a feedback mechanism for human experts to fine-tune the conversion processes of converting tacit knowledge into implicit knowledge.

  • This paper describes a research work of developing a computer-aided design of product with bending and piercing for progressive working. An approach to the system for progressive working is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system has been written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD with a personal computer and is composed of four main modules, which are input and shape treatment, flat pattern layout, strip layout and die layout module. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system is designed by considering several factors such as radius and angle of bend, material and thickness of product, complexities of blank geometry and punch profile, bending sequence, and availability of press. Strip layout drawing generated by the piercing processes with punch profiles divided into for external area is simulated in 3-D graphic forms, including bending sequences for the product with piercing and bending. Results obtained using the modules enable the manufacturer for progressive working of electronic products to be more efficient in this field.

불규칙형상의 박판제품에 관한 블랭킹 및 피어싱용 통합적 CAD시스템 (An integrated CAD system for blanking or piercing of irregular-shaped sheet metal products)

  • This paper describes a research work of developing a computer-aided design of blanking and piercing for irregular-shaped sheet metal products. An approach to the development of compact and practical CAB system is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the CAD system is formulated from plasticity theories, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system has been written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD with a personal computer. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system, STRT-DES, is designed by considering several factors, such as complexities of blank geometry and punch profile, availability of press equipment and standard parts, utilization ratio which minimizes the scrap in a single or a pairwise operation, bridge width, grain orientation and design requirements which maximize the strength of the part when subsequent bending is involved. This system checks a forming feasibility with both internal and external features, a dimension of blanked hole, and a corner and a fillet radius for irregualrly shaped sheet metal products. Therefore this system can carry out a die design for each process which is obtained from results of an automated blank layout drawing with a best utilization ratio for irregular shape of product that was successful in production feasibility check module and those of an automated strip layout drawing and generate part drawings and the assembly drawing of die set in graphic forms.

Also this system can carry out a process planning which is obtained from results of irregular shape of product that was successful in production feasibility check module according to flat pattern layout and generate strip layout drawing in graphic forms. The developed system provides its efficiency for flat pattern layout, and strip layout for the irregularly shaped sheet metal products.

Knowledge for the CAD system is formulated from plasticity theories, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system has been written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD with a personal computer and is composed of five main modules, which are input and shape treatment, flat pattern-layout, production feasibility check, blank-layout, and strip-layout module. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system is designed by considering several factors, such as radius and angle of bend, material and thickness of product, complexities of blank geometry and punch profile, and availability of press. This system is capable of unfolding a formed sheet metal part to give flat pattern and automatically account for the adjustment of bend allowances to match tooling requirements by checking dimensions and the best utilization ratio of blank-layout within bending production feasibility area which is beyond ${\pm}30^{\circ}$ degrees intersecting angle between grain flow and bending edge line and which is suitable to progressive bending operation. Also the strip-layout drawing generated by a bending and a piercing operation according to punch profiles divided into automatically for external area of irregularly shaped-sheet metal product is displayed in graphic forms.

  • This paper describes a research work of developing a computer-aided design of lead frame semicon-ductor with piercing operation which is very precise for progressive working. An approach to the sys-tem is based on to knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. This system has been writ-ten using AutoLISP to AutoCAD on a personal computer and is composed of three main modules which are input and shape treatment production feasibility check and strip-layout module. Based on the knowledge-based rules the system is designed by considering several factors such as material and thickness of product complexities of blank geometry and punch profile, and availability of press. Also strip-layout drawing generated by piercing operation according to punch profiles considered V-notch dimple. pad chamfer spank cavity punch camber and cross bow of lead frame is displayed in graphic forms. This system can be used by a novice who may not have any knowledge of tool design and will invrease efficiencies to the designer in this field.

  • Kansei design knowledge acquisition stage is a crucial stage in kansei designing process and kansei engineering (KE) methodology. In kansei engineering methodology, it is essential to extract design knowledge or rules on relationships between customer's kansei and product design element. We attempt to construct a more powerful melted for extracting the design rules from kansei expremental data. We constucted a kansei experiment concerning color kansei evaluation, and analyzed the sane data by both conventional quantification theory type I and rough set theory. Finally, we compared the effectiveness of both methods for extracting rules and examined the extensions of rough set theory in kansei engineering.
