강원지역 초등학생의 인식체형에 따른 영양지식, 식생활태도, 식이자기효능감과의 관련성 (Relationships among Eating Behavior, Dietary Self Efficacy and Nutrition Knowledge according to the Perceived Body Shape of Elementary School Students in Gangwon Province)

  • This study was carried out to find the relationship among dietary behavior, dietary self efficacy and nutrition knowledge according to the perceived body shape of the 5th and 6th grade elementary students in Gangwon Province and found out their relationships. The results are as follows; The factors that showed significant difference according to perceived body shape were gender, father's education level, the number of siblings, birth order, obesity of parents and siblings and ideal body shape. For the perceived body shape, the students answered generally normal(48.9%), slightly fat(27.9%), thin(16.5%) and very fat(6.7%). Out of total students 76.5% of them were not satisfied with their body shape such that satisfactory(23.5%), want to lose weight(61.4%) and want to increase weight(15.1%). The score of eating behavior showed significant difference between perceived body shape on such questions as eating speed(p<0.001), frequency of fatty food intake(p<0.001), adequate intake quantity(p<0.001), balanced diet(p<0.05), frequency of going out to eat(p<0.001). The score of diet self efficacy showed significant difference in the area of general habit on such questions as whether to eat slowly together with friends (p<0.001), whether to eat adequate quantity(p<0.001), whether not to have snacks after dinner(p<0.001). And in the area of food selection it showed significant difference on such questions as to select ice cream in stead of yoplait(p<0.001). In the area of social circumstance it showed significant difference on such questions as to reject the food(p<0.01) and to restrain food in birthday party or holiday(p<0.05). In the area of emotional status it showed significant difference on the question about food restrain when boring and depressed(p<0.05 respectively). The score of nutrition knowledge showed significant difference according to the perceived body shape on such questions as total score(p<0.01), five basic food group(p<0.05), snack and body weight(p<0.001), calcium function(p<0.01). It showed perceived body shape co-related with the nutrition knowledge(p<0.01). In summary, the perceived body shape for the highly eating behavior was generally normal, for the highly dietary self efficacy was slightly fat, and for the highly nutrition knowledge was also slightly fat.

초등학교 아동의 구강보건에 관한 지식과 행동의 상관관계 연구 (Interrelation Research of the Knowledge Regarding the Oral Health of the Elementary School Child and Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 학생들에게 필요한 구강보건교육목표를 설정하는 데에 기초 자료를 수집할 목적으로 전라북도 익산시에 소재하고 있는 초등학교 1개교 4학년, 6학년 513명을 대상으로 하여 초등학교 학생의 구강보건에 관한 지식과 행동의 상관관계를 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 조사대상자들의 구강보건지식 정도는 14점 만점에 8.77로 높지 않았으며, 여학생이 남학생보다 구강보건지식 정도가 높았고 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .05). 2. 학교구강보건교육 경험이 있는 학생일수록 구강보건지식 정도도 높게 나타났으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(r = 0.105, p < .05). 3. 구강보건행동 정도는 5점 Likert 척도로 조사한 결과, 전체 평균이 3.13으로 높지 않았으며, 학년에 따른 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .05). 4. 구강보건지식이 높은 학생일수록 구강보건행동 정도가 높게 나타나, 구강보건지식과 행동의 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < .001). 5. 구강보건지식과 구강보건행동 및 학교구강보건교육 경험은 정(+)의 선형 상관이 있어 구강보건지식 정도가 높으면 구강보건행동도 높아짐을 알 수 있었다(r = 0.345, p < .001, p < .05). 6. 성별과 학년에 관계없이 학교구강보건실의 필요성과 구강건강담당 교사의 필요성은 인식하고 있었다(p < .05).

치면세마 실습 대상자의 구강보건지식 및 행태에 관한 연구 (A study on the oral health knowledge and behavior of the volunteers in practice for oral prophylaxis)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this survey research was to investigate the relationship among oral health State, behavior and knowledge of oral health of patients who participate in dental hygiene students voluntarily. Methods : The subject in this were patients who got a scaling at the oral hygiene practice lab in the department of dental hygiene in S university dental clinic from April 1 to May 31, 2010. For the data analysis, an SPSS WIN 11.5 program was used and its signification level was 0.05. Results : 1. For the oral health state according to sex distinction, it showed the men's 0.78 MT index was higher than women's 0.48 MT index and statistically significant difference. For FT index, women(4.72) was higher than men(3.50) and it showed statistically significant difference(p<0.05). 2. For the oral health state according to age distinction, DT index of under 20years(2.44) was higher than the others and it showed statistically significant difference(p<0.05). 3. For the oral health state according to marriage distinction, not married DT index(1.59) was higher than married DT index(2.56) and it showed statistically significant difference(p<0.05). 4. For the oral health behavior according to age distinction, 87.0% 20~29years patients replied as I have experience of my teeth scaled and it showed statistically significant difference. 18.5% more than 30 years replied as I use interdental brush and it showed statistically significant difference. 18.5% more than 30 years replied as I use powered brush and it showed statistically significant difference(p<0.05). 5. For the oral health state according to oral health behavior distinction, there were significant difference that regular visit of dental clinic, experience of teeth scaled, toothbrushing, oral hygiene device(p<0.05). 6. For the oral health state according to oral health knowledge distinction, there were significant difference that toothbrushing time after each meal, appropriate toothbrushing time, toothbrushing method, dental caries foods(p<0.05). Conclusions : I suggest with the result of the study that there was a very close relationship between oral health status, behavior and knowledge of oral health. Therefore student of the dental hygiene should be encouraged to pay more attention to oral health care of the patient, and they should be well educated oral health care personnels who volunteers in practice for oral prophylaxis.

영남 지역 중년여성의 화장품 사용 및 피부관리 실태 파악 연구 (The Study of the use of Cosmetics and Skin Care of Middle-aged Women in Young-nam Province)

  • A study on skin care of middle-aged women was conducted to develop proper skin care program. The study was performed from January 25, 2003 through March 24, 2003 by using questionnaires. The subjects were 380 from some area in Youngnam province. All subjects were females from 40 to 59 years. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. According to general characteristics of the subjects, 36.8% of them was from 40 to 44years old; 61.3% 'high school graduate' ; 61.1% 'housewife';89.2% 'married' ;76.1% 'middle class' ;55.8% 'living in small or medium sized city'. In the case of physical health conditions, 55.8% of the respondents was in good health and 63.9% answered that their face skins were healthy. Those who don't drink were 54.5%, and those who don't smoking were 92.9%. 2. In case of the knowledge level of skin care, it showed significant difference in the variables of education, occupation, and economic status. According to the knowledge level of skin care by physical health conditions, it was highest in the case of physically healthy respondents(7.77 point). Those who do not smoke marked higher knowledge level of skin care than those who smoke. Those who exercise also marked higher knowledge level of skin care, than those who don't exercise. 3. 86.8% of the subjects experienced the massage at home. It showed significant difference in the variable of education and place of residence. The knowledge and habit of skin care of middle-aged women showed significant difference according to the variable of education, economic status, and place of residence. Therefore, related professionals and organizations relating to the skin care must make efforts to develop education program for effective skin care for middle-aged women in order to enhance the knowledge level of skin care and information about skin health.

로컬푸드의 소비자 지식과 태도가 구매의도에 미치는 효과: 로컬푸드 태도의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Consumers' Knowledge and Attitude on Purchase Intention Toward Local Foods: Focus on Mediating Effect of Attitude)

  • This study evaluated the effect of consumers' knowledge and attitude toward to local foods on purchase intention. The study data were collected through a three-week online survey of 500 household food purchasers who had bought local foods within the previous year. The results are as follows. First, examining the difference in the knowledge of local foods according to socio-demographic variables revealed that married people had more knowledge of local foods than singles according to marital status, and college graduates and higher had more knowledge than high school graduates and lower according to education level. Second, as a result of examining the difference in attitudes towards local foods according to socio-demographic variables, married people more than single people according to marital status, people in their 30s more than those in their 20s according to age and college graduates and higher more than high school graduates and lower according to education level had more positive attitudes towards local foods. Third, as a result of examining the difference in consumers' purchase intention towards local foods according to socio-demographic variables, according to age, and housewives had the lowest purchase intention towards local foods according to occupation. (Ed- I cannot understand: the section 'according to socio-demographic variables, according to age, and housewives had' is confused) People engaged in office/specialized/managerial jobs and those engaged in production/sales/service had the highest purchase intention. In regard to monthly average income, households that made less than KRW 4 million had the lowest purchase intention, and those that made KRW 4-8 million had the highest purchase intention. Fourth, the knowledge of local foods affected attitudes towards local foods. Fifth, attitudes towards local foods affected consumers' purchase intention. In other words, people with positive attitudes towards local foods had higher purchase intention.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 노인관련 경험이 노인에 대한 지식 및 태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Impact of Aged-related Experience on Knowledge and Attitude toward Aged - Dental Hygiene Students -)

  • 노인관련 경험이 치위생과 학생들의 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위해 2009년 8월부터 10월 사이에 D보건대학 치위생과 학생 292명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. SPSS 14.0 version을 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 노인에 관한 지식에 있어서 신체 생리적 영역과 가족사회적 영역에서는 노인관련 교육경험이 있는 경우의 지식정도가 높았으나(p<0.05), 심리적 영역에서는 유의한 차이를 볼 수 없었다. 2. 노인관련 교육경험에 따른 노인에 대한 태도는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 노인과의 동거경험에 따른 지식과 태도 차이는 없었으나, 자원봉사경험이 있는 경우에 노인에 대한 태도가 더 긍정적이었다(p < 0.05). 4. 노인에 대한 지식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 노인관련 교육과, 노인에 대한 태도였다. 5. 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 노인관련 자원봉사경험과 노인에 관한 지식이었다.

일부 노인들의 건강관련 생활습관, 식습관, 영양지식 및 식품섭취에 관한 비교 연구 (A Study on Health-related Lifestyle, Dietary Habits, Nutritional Knowledge and Food Intake of the Elder in Gyeong-gi Area)

  • This study was designed to provide the basic data of an effective nutrition education for desirable lifestyle and dietary habits to improve the nutritional status for the elderly by investigating health-related lifestyle, dietary habits, nutritional knowledge, and food intake of the elderly. The subjects included 58 elderly men and 146 elderly women. 35.8% had no more than an elementary school education. Most subjects (54.4%) were widows/widowers. Most subjects (71.0%) made over 150,000 won. 52.5% of subjects lived in houses. Smoking, drinking, exercise, the average sleeping time were significantly difference between the gender (p<0.05). In terms of dietary habits, our results showed that 80.9% of respondent eat regularly meals, including breakfast (83.5%). Both sexes prefer soft and salty food. Women enjoys more spicy and salty food compared with men and then shows meaningful difference (p<0.05). Their favorite meals are soup, stew, salad and boiled vegetables. Compared to women, men have a higher rate of correct answers about questions related to nutrition knowledge as showing significantly difference (p<0.05). In a study of dietary habits, they take in carbohydrates with the highest percentage and following by vegetables and fruits. The amount of meat, first and egg they eat is more than the previously. Eating meat is higher men as showing significant difference (p<0.05). In summary, nutritional status for the elderly shows healthy lifestyle and diet about half of those and most them try to live healthy life in future. It is hope that the elderly may need to learn proper nutrition knowledge for healthy lifestyle and nutrition education and counseling for building up healthy lifestyle and desirable dietary habits. Furthermore, it is necessary to start work to establish a baseline nutritious evaluation for the elderly and at a time to study the development of standard eating tool proven reliability and validity, consequently to provide a basic framework for the evaluation of nutritional status.

건강정보 이해능력에 따른 관상동맥질환 관련 서면정보의 제공이 환자의 건강행위 이행에 대한 자기효능감, 질병 지식, 불안, 교육만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Written Information for Coronary Artery Disease Depending on Patients' Health Literacy on Health Behavior Compliance Related Self-efficacy, Knowledge of Disease, Anxiety, and Educational Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of providing written information for coronary artery disease on health behavior compliance related self-efficacy, knowledge of disease, anxiety, and educational satisfaction depending on patients' health literacy. Methods: The participants in this study were 40 patients who underwent coronary angiography or coronary intervention, and depending on the level of health literacy 30 patients were high group and 10 patients were low group. Each group was evaluated on health behavior compliance related self-efficacy, knowledge of disease, anxiety, and educational satisfaction with providing written information. Results: By providing written information in the group with high health literacy, there was a significant difference in health behavior compliance related self-efficacy, knowledge of disease, but there was no significant difference in anxiety variable. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in health behavior compliance related self-efficacy, knowledge of disease, and anxiety by providing written information in the group with low health literacy. Also, there was no significant difference in the educational satisfaction between high and low group of health literacy after providing written information. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop educational materials that can be applied to clinical nursing field with considering health literacy of patients with coronary artery disease. In addition to providing written information, it is also necessary to develop other educational intervention programs such as video and personalized counseling that may be helpful for coronary patients with low health literacy and investigate their effectiveness.

일부 치위생과 학생들의 심폐소생술 지식과 수행능력 (Knowledge and performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) knowledge and performance in the dental hygiene students in Gyeongju. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 106 dental hygiene students in Gyeongju. The questionnaire consisted of CPR knowledge and performance, and was collected from April 4 to 12. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 18.0 by t-test, correlation analysis, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The average age of the subjects was 20.6 years and 97.2% were female students. The students did not experience the emergency situation(96.2%). Approximately half of the students received CPR education(51.9%), but they did not have the CPR certificate(94.3%). There was a significantly statistical correlation between the CPR knowledge and performance(p<0.01). The CPR knowledge was proportional to the CPR performance skill. The CPR knowledge (p<0.05) and performance (p<0.01) showed a statistical difference by the grade of the students. The CPR knowledge of the senior students was higher than that of the freshmen and sophomore. The CPR knowledge (p<0.01) and performance (p<0.01) showed a statistical difference by the education experience. The CPR education provided the students with CPR knowledge and performance. Conclusions: In order to promote and maintain CPR knowledge and performance on dental hygiene student, it should be reinforced the more systematic training program which can be repeatedly evaluated and retrained than the present. In addition, a follow-up study will also be needed for the student and clinical dental hygienist.

직장인 MBA 대학원생의 지식교량적 역할이 조직 내 지식공유 네트워크에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bridging Role of Employees Through MBA Classmate Network)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of employees who attend graduate school on the expansion of the knowledge sharing network in their company. For this purpose, the researchers chose 10 worker-graduate students and 75 members of company 'A' that they belong to and 107 members of university 'B' that they belong to, 172 members in total. 10 overlapped employee-students were excluded. The results of this study are summarized as follow: First, the personal relations of the employee-students enhanced after they have entered the graduate school. The score for the question was 3.85 out of 5 points. Second, the employee-students played the role of the knowledge bridge between company's co-worker network and graduate school's classmate network. It was confirmed that the density of the company's network was higher than the density of the connected network of the company and the graduate school. The analysis result confirmed that the difference of the two groups was significant. This means that the company carried out exchange with more members and therefore gained various kinds of knowledge. Also, in all types of network, the structural hole of the company network was lower than that of the connected network of the company and graduate school. The ANOVA test using QAP procedure confirmed that the difference of two groups was significant (friendship network F=1.2856, p<0.05; information network F=1.278, p<0.05; and trust network F=1.23, p<0.05). It means that the company not only gained the newly acquired knowledge by the knowledge bridge of the employee-students, but also was able to share it more effectively with members. Third and lastly, the employee-students share various information related to the organization, duties and roles rest in the company throughout break time, working hours and direct inquiries. This means that the employee-students contributed to the innovation of knowledge sharing in the company by sharing knowledge that they gained from the graduate school within the company.
