The objective of this paper is to propose an Extended AND-OR Graph (EAOG)-driven inferential simulation mechanism with which decision makers engaged in electronic commerce (EC) can effectively deal with complicated decision making problem. In the field of traditional expect systems research, AND-OR Graph approach cannot be effectively used in the EC problems in which real-time problem-solving property should be highly required. In this sense, we propose the EAOG inference mechanism for EC problem-solving in which heurisric knowledge necessary for intelligent EC problem-solving can be represented in a form of matrix. The EAOG method possesses the following three characteristics. 1. Realtime inference: The EAOG inference mechanism is suitable for the real-time inference because its computational mechanism is based on matrix computation.2. Matrix operation: All the subjective knowledge is delineated in a matrix form, so that inference process can proceed based on the matrix operation which is computationally efficient.3. Bi-directional inference: Traditional inference method of expert systems is based on either forward chaining or based on either and computational efficiency. However, the proposed EAOG inference mechanism is generically bi-directional without loss of both speed and efficiency.We have proved the validity of our approach with several propositions and an illustrative EC example.

Development of human-system interfaces (HSI) supporting the interaction between human and automation-based systems, particularly safety-critical sociotechnial systems, entails a wide range of design and evaluation problems. To help HSI designers deal with these problems, many methodologies from traditional human-computer interaction, software engineering, and systems engineering have been applied; however, they have been proved inadequate to develop cognitively well engineered HSI. This paper takes a viewpoint that HSI development is itself a cognitive process consisting of various decision making and problem solving activities and then proposes a design requirements-driven process for developing HSI. High-level design problems and their corresponding design requirements for visual information display are explained to clarify the concept of design requirements. Lastly, conceptual design of software system to support the requirements-driven process and designers' knowledge management is described.

우리 사회가 점차 지식기반 정보사회로 변화해 감에 따라 수 많은 지식이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이에 많은 교육정보 자원의 효율적인 관리와 활용을 위해 정보시스템들이 구축되어 활용되고 있다. 그러나 체계적인 관리체계의 미흡으로 인하여 각 시스템별로 다양한 코드체계를 사용하고 있다. 이러한 상이한 코드체계는 각 시스템간의 정보공유 및 활용의 효율성을 저해하는 요인이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교육정보 자원의 효율적인 관리를 위한 표준데이터 코드관리시스템을 설계하여 교육정보 자원의 효율적 관리방안을 모색하였다.

Expert systems represent the application of artificial intelligence research that is at least 10-15 years old. It may well take another 5-10 years before the present technology is exploited by industry. The objective of this paper is to show the applicability of Combined Hypertext-Expert System Techniques to the professionals working in the construction industry. Expert systems alone don't give the user any control over the system. Hypertext systems that focus only on displaying messages have the opposite problem. While they allow the user to control the system., the only control the system designer has is in setting up the hypertext links. Therefore the combination of these two techniques, offered by KnowledgePro, may bring us closer to real user-expert communication. The system developed in this work offers information on ACI Manual concerning various problem areas in concrete practice, consultation about mix design of concrete and guidance to identify types of cracks in concrete. Once the type of crack is identified through the rule-based knowledge, the system provides the user with remedial measures through the control of the user.

Recommender system is a core component of e-commerce. Correspondingly, metrics to evaluate the system performance have been developed and applied. However, even though we have lots of applications that have tried to adopt recommender systems, the dearth of successfully installed recommender systems for more than a decade leads us to a skeptical thinking that current metrics do not sufficiently indicate the recommender system success in business viability point of view. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to reconfigure measures for recommender system success. Adopting DeLone and McLean's amended model of information system success as the underlying framework, content analysis with intellectual properties on recommender systems was conducted to modify the currently used metrics. Then a model of recommender system success is proposed based on the newly identified metrics are compared with traditional metrics.

In this paper, we study a (condition interprete systdem CCIS) which is a general purpose inference system for building an expert system. Previously, most expert systems used fragmentary knowledge-representation and inexact inferencing methods. To solve the proboems of those systems we suggest an algorithm for more flexible deduction and a method of representing knowledge more naturally and consistently compared to those of other experst systems. The CIS is a systsdem which can infer all the current situations from communication with the user based on user discription of some situation. we used some medical data on hypertension and its complication to simulate the system and to prove the effectiveness of the system. The results show that with the proposed method one can realize an attractive expert system.

저장 및 관리하는 지식의 분류체계로서의 의미를 갖는 지식지도는, 문제해결을 위하여 지식을 조회 및 선택하는 사용자의 활동을 지원하고 보완할 수 있는 구조를 갖추어야 한다. 계층형 구조를 갖는 기존의 지식지도는, 관리하는 지식을 체계적으로 정리하는 데에는 이점이 있으나, 지식 사용자가 갖는 인지 및 활용의 논리를 반영하지 못할 뿐만 아니라 지식을 조회 및 추출하는 사용자의 활동을 지원하지 못한다. 본 연구는, 내용적 관련성을 갖는 연관지식을 연쇄적으로 조회 및 추출하는 사용자의 지식활용 패턴을 반영하는, 키워드 기반 네트워크형 지식지도를 구축하는 방법론을 제시한다. 즉, 지식 간 내용적 연관성을 파악하기 위하여 키워드를 추출하고 공통된 키워드를 갖는 지식 간 링크를 해당 키워드를 이용하여 정의한다. 키워드는 해당 지식의 내용을 대변하므로, 키워드를 기반으로 정의된 링크는 내용적으로 관련성이 있는 지식 간에 형성되며, 이를 종합하면 내용적 연관성을 지식 간의 네트워크, 즉 네트워크형 지식지도가 완성된다. 제시된 방법론의 적용 타당성을 검토하기 위해 50개의 연구논문을 이용하여 이들 간의 내용적 연관성을 표현하는 네트워크형 지식지도를 구현하였으며, 검토 결과 만족할만한 수준의 정밀도와 재현율을 보였다.

In the conduct of this study, a web-enabled healthcare system for the management of hypertension was implemented through a hyperlink-based inference approach. The hyperlink-based inference platform implemented using the hypertext capacity of HTML which ensured accessibility, multimedia facilities, fast response, stability, ease of use and upgrade, and platform independency of expert systems. Many HTML documents, which are hyperlinked to each other based on expert rules, were uploaded beforehand to perform the hyperlink-based inference. The HTML documents were uploaded and maintained automatically by our proprietary tool called the Web-Based inference System (WeBIS) that supports a graphical user interface (GUI) for the input and edit of decision graphs. Nevertheless, the editing task of the decision graph using the GUI tool is a time consuming and tedious chore when the knowledge engineer must perform it manually. Accordingly, this research implemented an automatic generator of the decision graph for the management of hypertension. As a result, this research suggests a methodology for the development of Web-enabled healthcare systems using the hyperlink-based inference approach and, as an example, implements a Web-enabled healthcare system for hypertension, a platform which peformed especially well in the areas of speed and stability.

지능형 기본구조에 의존하는 내용기반 정보검색 시스템을 발전시키기 위한 많은 노력들이 진행중이다. 실세계에 존재하는 상황을 구축하고 유지하며, 동적 지식 표현을 실용화하고, 문맥을 이용하고, 그리고 진보된 추론과 학습능력을 이용하여 실세계에 존재하는 상황을 구축하고 유지하는 능력을 지능이라고 간주하여 이 지능을 채택한 진보된 내용기반 정보검색시스템을 제안하였다. 지능의 이러한 요소들은 인간의 지각과 인지에 정합하는 의미적 수준에서 시각 정보를 검색하기 위한 효과적인 시스템을 만들어내기 위해 필요로 하는 것들이다. 본 논문에서는 인간이 가지고 있는 지능과 인지 심리학, 인공지능, 기호학의 분야에 존재하는 지능시스템의 구축에 관련한 연구들을 조사해 본 후, 기존의 내용기반 정보검색 시스템의 능력을 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서 제안한 멀티미디어 지식 표현 모형인 MMNet을 알아보고, 이것을 이용하여 시각 정보를 자동적으로 추출하기 위한 지능형 내용기반검색시스템 모형을 만들어 보았다.

본 연구는 국내의 경제상황을 판단하여 특허권의 유통을 활성화시키고 기술력을 바탕으로 하는 기업과 기술의 가치평가에 종사하는 사람들에게 방향을 제시하기 위해 문헌조사, 사례연구를 중심으로 수행하였으며 특허권의 가치평가에 대한 개념정립을 위해 우선 특허권에 대한 다양한 접근방식과 관계요인, 이론 그리고, 특허권을 다양한 국 내외 문헌을 중심으로 정리 요약하였다. 또한, 라이센스교섭이나 그 외의 거래시 무형자산이나 지식재산의 이용과 관련한 적정한 로열티의 비율 및 특허권 침해의 액을 산정하는데 기본이 되는 특허권의 가치를 평가하는 방법을 제시한다. 더불어 주요가치평가 기법을 제시하고, 가치평가 기법의 문제점과 개선방향을 통해 새로운 가치평가방법의 새로운 방향을 고찰해보며, 특허권의 거래 및 활성화를 위한 대안, 특허권의 가치평가제도를 위한 대책을 제시한 국내 가치평가의 문제점과 국내 모 평가회사의 분석사례 및 시사점을 통해 국내기술에 대한 가치평가의 방법과 제도적, 환경적 문제의 발전방향에 대해 제시하고자 한다.
