  • Collaborative knowledge is continuously producted and modified by group individuals during collaboration and it is also fostered in a radical trust environment like Wiki. The example is Wikipedia. However I found out a big problem as difficulties of exploring when the knowledge space is extended more and more widely. To solve this problem, collaborative knowledge management systems are implemented based on wiki. The one is navigation map that supports the efficient exploring and the another is knowledge map that supports a convergent thinking in a group. In this study, we examined the effectiveness of navigation map and knowledge map.

  • Recently construction industry has faced new era as following the advances of IT technology. It becomes possible that information and knowledge among people are exchanged actively thanks to computer-based tools. In fact, the tools, PMIS(Project Management Information System) and KMS(Knowledge Management System) already have been introduced to constuction industry successfully. Lately IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) is tried to be one of these systems. This trying is being enlarged that the IETM's concept is changed to administrative and legal process provider throughout the lifespan of construction projects. However, it is hard to define construction IETM in mega-scale project like urban regeneration project because construction projects are complex and have diverse stakeholders. These properties may make the IETM ambiguous system. To do define IETM as a administrative and legal process provider, this research will conduct survey and interview, then analyze its own properties and find out design strategies. Based on the properties and strategies, suggesting IETM's system demands and architecture of urban regeneration processes.

  • The LG Electronics case shows the process whereby an organization evolves as a learning organization through the integration of e-learning and knowledge management. In other words, it shows the process whereby e-learning is recognized as an important means of solving a problem concerning actual worksite operations, as it became one of the daily activities in the organization. In terms of organizational learning, this process points to the fact that e-learning is emerging as the fastest and most effective means of transferring the internally shared value of a company. Recently, advanced corporations and organizations have been endeavoring to boost their internal and external customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, paving the way for changes in their organizational cultures, and establishing learning organizations through e-learning. Therefore, from an advanced viewpoint, e-learning within a company is not a simple system of transferring educational contents, but is a knowledge portal concept connected with knowledge management. To achieve this end, the organization is required to undergo changes that is, it should make the acquisition of learning possible through e-learning and a knowledge management system (KMS) in order to improve corporate performance. Since LG Electronics is utilizing e-learning as a strategic means to change the paradigm of corporate education, and, in particular, is attempting to integrate this with knowledge management, insights that will facilitate the understanding of the core success factors in and challenges to the integration of knowledge management and e-learning can be obtained through this case.

확장형 규칙 표식 언어(eXtensible Rule Markup Language): 설계 원리 및 응용

  • XML(eXtensible Markup Language, XML)은 인터넷에서의 자료 교환을 위해 고안된 언어이다. 본 논문에서는 XML의 개념을 발전시킨 확장형 규칙 표식 언어(extensible Rule Markup Language, XRML)를 제안하고 있다. XRML은 웹 페이지에 내재된 암묵적 규칙의 식별, 구조적인 규칙으로의 변환, 사람과 소프트웨어 에이전트간의 지식 공유를 가능하게 하며, 이를 통해 지식기반시스템(Knowledge Based System)과 지식관리시스템(Knowledge Management System)의 통합을 실현할 수 있는 새로운 언어가 될 것이다. 본 고에서는 XRML이 이상과 같은 능력을 갖기 위해 반드시 갖춰야 할 6가지 설계 기준과, 이들 기준을 반영한 XRML 구성 요소로서 RIML(Rule Identification Markup Language), RSML(Rule Structure Markup Language)과 RTML(Rule Triggering Markup Language)을 설계하였으며, 개별 요소들의 기능 및 특성과 함께 태그와 DTD(Document Type Definition)도 식별하였다. 나아가 전술한 구조를 기반으로 하여 XRML을 워크플로우 시스템상의 폼처리에 적용한 Form/XRML이라는 프로토타입 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 프로토타입의 개발을 통해, 지식기반시스템의 지식을 활용하는 RTML이 폼을 비롯한 다양한 응용시스템에 내재될 수 있으며, 웹 페이지의 암묵적 규칙과 지식기반시스템의 규칙이 일관성 있게 유지될 수 있음을 보여 주었다. 요컨대 본 연구는 XRML이 지능형 웹으로 발전하기 위한 새로운 도구이며, KBS와 US의 통합을 위한 중요한 도구임을 입증하였다는 점에서 큰 의의를 갖는다고 하겠다.

  • Process-based knowledge management is `have knowledge operation system based in the task process and provide the accumulated knowledge of an organization for its members performing their task through a system in an appropriate format.' If it is embodied in the organization it is expected to significantly enhance the task process and knowledge. Meanwhile, Maier and Remus realized that if the organization`s strategy is added to the existing objective of knowledge management promotion strategy, it is in accord with major objectives of the process management such as BPR or BPM. Based on this, Maier and Remus devised a framework for promotion strategy of process-based knowledge management. As a result of analyzing their framework by applying it to examples of knowledge management promotion of the Ministry of Labor, it was found that process-based knowledge management should be applied in order to solve the problems and reflect improvement suggestions which had been constantly pointed out. Furthermore, the direction to be applied in connection with the improvement suggestions was presented in this study.

  • The various concepts of knowledge such as Knowledge Management(KM). Intellectual assets and digital knowledge asset management are currently important issues among many organizations. To the country like Korea that has professed Itself for a great power of knowledge Information and adopted KM and Record and Information Management (RIM) as the country's main polity, the study on the theoretical basis and best practices of KM and RIM from the perspective of Library & Information science is very urgent. However, many studies on knowledge including KM were mainly done at the business administrative field. and the consolidated study basis on knowledge even in the Library & Information Sciences was quite in deficiency, furthermore any discussion on knowledge, correlation among related systems and the possibilities of cooperation as the development of Information communication has not been done. Therefore, this study is to present the alternative plan of the consolidated management on knowledge through comparative analysis on the definition, main function and trend of KM & RIM. Especially, this study would be the theoretical basis to the public organizations that plan to introduce KM & RIM.

  • In this paper by realizing the knowledge base on the web, for example, the information of the technology and human resources of the universities, which is the mecca of the knowledge management, technology information in various segment, education information, visible anti invisible knowledge information like technical advice, etc, and scholaristic knowledge like basic science technologies, economic theories which are verified by experts of the field, and pragmatic knowledge like technical patent, software, data base, also, hands on experience and knowledge like field technology, customer service, front line management. All those related information provides easy access to anyone who need of. This system is also designed for the utilization of the study, company activities, and professionals of the basic science technology which enables not only professor to exchange the research results but also, general public, companies, students can effectively share and exchange the information.

  • The importance of Knowledge Management (KM) can be easily recognized in many diverse aspects of the theory studies and in KM's efforts to help implement the government's policy to innovate corporation management. The core of KM is to improve the circulation of knowledge by generation, accumulation, sharing, utilization and acquisition by learning. The improvement of knowledge circulation would result in high quality and quantity of intellectual assets in corporations and make decision-making more efficient. This, too, is the operational philosophy of the special libraries. The primary objective of this study is to promote KM by presenting KM methodology and by explaining a theoretical background and cases, based on the existing special libraries. I cite an example of a case wherein merging intellectual assets and human resources activated the company culture. The reference service system, which is the core of the special library, was used in this merging.

  • 본 논문에서는 지식에 대한 개념을 정의하기 보다 지식의 life-cycle을 통한 지식의 생성과 소멸을 모델화함으로 시식을 설명하려 한다. 본 논문은 노나카의 지식 창조 모델을 기반으로 하고 기존의 KMS들을 분석하여 일반적인 지식 life-cycle 모델을 도출하였으며, 기존 모델의 문제점을 보완하여 새로운 지식 life-cycle 모델을 만들었다. 이 모델과 앞으로의 지식관리 시스템 발전 방향을 고려하여 지식 관리 시스템 아키텍쳐를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 아키텍쳐를 근거로 지식 관리 시스템을 구현하기 위한 6개의 컴포넌트를 도출하였다. 6개의 컴포넌트는 지식 생성, 지식 분배, 지식 측정, 지식 연결, 지식 검색, 지식 저장이다. 이 컴포넌트들로 지식 관리 시스템의 prototype을 구현해 본 결과 지식 life-cycle을 단계적, 부분적으로 지원하지만 부족한 부분이 있는 것을 발견하였다. 향후에는 지식 생성과 지식 연결 컴포넌트를 강화하여 전체적인 지식 life-cycle을 지원할 예정이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to study the laws of storage and utilization in various perspectives in order to maximize the storage of knowledge and to use stored knowledge. In other words, it analyzes the relationship rules in five viewpoints of 'human and knowledge', 'human and goods', 'the law of exact intersection with humans', 'human architecture formation process', 'human and knowledge' This course studies how to maximize the relationship rules between knowledge storage and utilization through knowledge management, intuition, rapid decision-making, and understanding of various knowledge. In order to maximize the value of knowledge in the organization, the knowledge management system obtained in this way systematically organizes various information about the knowledge creation of the members and distributes it to all employees to use it for their work. As an information management infrastructure, To effectively manage the various knowledge and know-how accumulated in the organization and to share them with each other.
