지식순환과정과 지식스키마를 고려한 지식경영시스템 성과 및 수용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance and Acceptance of Knowledge Management System By Considering Knowledge Circulation Process and Knowledge Schema)

  • Recently, a great deal of corporations have adopted knowledge management system with eagerness to enhance the company competitiveness. However, since the main feature of knowledge management system is not just a simple information system but another entity creating intangible assets tailed "knowledge", we need to develop a new approach to investigating the performance and acceptance of knowledge management systems from a perspective allowing knowledge-sensitive constructs. In this regard, we develop new constructs like knowledge schema and several knowledge circulation-related activities. As a research model, we adopt a famous technology acceptance model or TAM by Davis (1989), and extend it into incorporating knowledge schema. With the statistically valid and usable questionnaire survey data collected from 886 respondents in a big corporation typically using knowledge management system, we induced a robust result empirically, saying that knowledge schema and knowledge circulation activities are valid determinants of performance and acceptance of knowledge management systems.

  • Cluster analysis according to the activities IS practitioners perform shows that IS practitioners can be broadly categorized into two groups, generalists and specialists: generalists allocate their work time relatively evenly across the activities while specialists allocate more time on some specific activities than on other activities. Empirical findings also show that generalists and specialists are required to possess different configurations of IS knowledge and skills respectively to do their work successfully and that they possess different configurations of IS knowledge and skills. Empirical findings reveal that specialists change the activities they do mainly as their carrier evolves while generalists do not.

요양보호사의 환자안전 지식이 환자안전관리 활동에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감의 매개 효과를 중심으로 (Impact of Caregivers' Patient Safety Knowledge on Patient Safety Management Activities : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 요양보호사의 환자안전 지식과 환자안전관리 활동의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개 효과를 확인하기 위해 수행된 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집은 노인요양시설과 재가센터 소속 요양보호사를 대상으로 2022년 7월 1일부터 7월 29일까지 실시되었으며, 197명의 자료가 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 28.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Person's correlation coefficients, Hierarchical multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 요양보호사의 환자안전 지식과 자기효능감(r=.653, p<.001), 환자안전 지식과 환자안전관리 활동(r=.467, p<.001)은 각각 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 요양보호사의 환자안전 지식과 환자안전관리 활동의 관계에서 자기효능감의 완전 매개효과가 확인되었고, 설명력은 46.8%였다. 따라서 요양보호사의 환자안전관리 활동을 강화하기 위해서는 자기효능감 향상을 위한 체계적인 프로그램 개발과 함께 교육의 기회가 제공되어야 할 것이다.

품질분임조 활동의 진흥방향 제안에 관한 연구 (A Suggestion on the Promotive Directions of Quality Circle Activity)

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest the promotive directions of Quality Circle activity. Since 1975, variety of organizations in Korea have widely the implemented Quality Circle activities for their management systems. Today, Companies are facing the harsh realities of a competitive environment. This is no time for revolutionary change. Instead, Companies are instituting revolutionary change meant to have impact within a very short time frame. The Worker's Quality Circle activity is, essentially, a trouble shooting oriented voluntary small group within their working place to improve the surroundings creatively. The industries have enthusiastically used Quality Circle activities and were influenced from them. The Quality Circle activities can be regarded as a kind of Knowledge Management where new knowledge is created and knowledge is shared in the economy. However, the academics were less interested in this subject, as a result, there were no systematic guidances for Quality Circle activities. Also, the government was less interested in these activities, as a result, there were no systematic policy making for Quality Circle activities. Thus, in this research, the promotive directions for Quality Circle activities were suggested which were based on the results of survey Questionnaires presented to promoters of the domestic companies. As a results of this research, to maximize the effect of TQM(Total Quality Management) in the nationwide, Quality Circle activity as a bottom-up management should be more expanded and revitalized.

우리나라 벤처기업의 성장단계별 지식획득활동 분석 (Knowledge Acquisition Activities along Growth Stages of Korean Ventures)

  • This study deals with the knowledge acquisition activities along the growth stages of Korean ventures. This issue is very important in the three reasons. First, the target of the study-new ventures- is a pending issue and can be regarded as the engine of innovation in the Korean economy. Second, venture activities is so dynamic compared to those of the established companies and the study reflects its dynamic features. Third, the knowledge is becoming more important one among various resources, and knowledge management can be a timely issue. The main research questions are as follows : - How does the degree of knowledge domain, vary along the growth stages\ulcorner - Which knowledge domains are more influential on the performance along growth stages\ulcorner Major findings of the study are as follow: First, technological knowledge acquisition effort are most intensive at the start-up stage, while the management knowledge efforts are active at the growth stage. The degree of market knowledge acquisition efforts is almost the same along the stages. Second, the important knowledge domain, which influences on the performance, varies along the stages. The acquisition effort for product technology knowledge is more influential on the sales growth rate and has a negative effect on the return on assets at the start-up stage, while the management knowledge about administration is more influential on the return on assets at the growth stage. Finally the academic contributions and managerial implications of the study are presented and the future research directions are also suggested.

CONSTRUCTABILITY IMPLEMENTATION MODEL USING DEPENDENCY STRUCTURE MATRIX

  • Utilizing construction knowledge and experiences in design phase can reduce change orders and improve productivity in construction phase. To do so, information must be made available to the design team in time. Current approaches for effective utilization of constructability knowledge, however, only focus on the formalization of constructability knowledge such as a checklist, which lacks the consideration of the appropriate use at the proper point in time. The inadequate use of constructability knowledge can result in unnecessary reworks. To deal with this problem, the design team needs to know what constructability knowledge is required for specific design activities in the design process. This paper presents a constructability implementation model using the dependency structure matrix (DSM) that focuses on information flows between design activities and constructability knowledge. For this objective, design activities in the design process are modeled in a matrix form based on their dependency. Then, constructability knowledge, which needs to be considered in the design stage, is mapped into activities and incorporated into the matrix, creating Constructability-DSM (C-DSM). Next, the partitioning algorithm is applied to C-DSM for optimal information flow. The Partitioned C-DSM is then analyzed based on the relationship between activities. Finally, the optimal utilization of construction knowledge in the design process is determined by identifying what constructability knowledge is required for each design activity, and how and when it is reflected to design for constructability. Thus, this research can help provide robust control actions to reduce unnecessary iterative cycles in design process for efficient constructability implementation.

Using Practice Context Models to Knowledge Management in Proof-of-Concept Activities: A Contribution of Knowledge Networks and Percolation Theory

  • This study introduces novel research using Practice Context Models supported by Knowledge Networks and Percolation Theory with the aim to contribute to knowledge management in Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities. The authors envision this proposal as a potential instrument to identify network structures based on a percolation (propagation) threshold and to analyze the importance of nodes (e.g., practitioners, practices, competencies, movements, and scenarios) during the percolation of knowledge in PoC activities. After thirty months immersed in the natural PoC habitat, acting as observers and practitioners, and supported by an ethnographic exercise and a designer-research mindset, the authors identified the production of meaning in PoC activities occurring in a hermeneutic circle characterized by the presence of several knowledge networks; thus, discovering the 'natural knowledge' in PoC as a spectrum of cognitive development spread throughout its network, as each node could produce and disseminate certain knowledge that flows and influences other nodes. Therefore, this research presents the use of Practice Context Models 'connected' to Knowledge Networks and Percolation Theory as a potential and feasible proposal to be built using the attribution of values (weights) to the nodes (e.g., practitioners, practices, competencies, movements, scenarios, and also knowledge) in the context of PoC with the aim to allow the players (e.g., PoC practitioners) to have more flexibility in building alliances with other players (new nodes); that is, focusing on those nodes with higher value (focus on quality) in collaboration networks, i.e., alliances (connections) with the aim to contribute to knowledge management in the context of PoC.

  • Knowledge Management is introduced by many big companies with the development of Information Technology. Although researches about the enabling conditions have been progressed, but there are few study of relationship between KM stages and enabling conditions, and performance. This study focus on the KM four activities and KMS(Knowledge Management System), which is on the Samsung SDS's KMS(they called ARISAM) and related with team performance. We are propose some points to the managerial implications.

평가 및 보상이 지식창출과 공유활동에 미치는 영향 - 중앙행정기관을 중심으로 - (An Influence of the Appraisal and Reward on the Activities of Knowledge Creation and Knowledge Sharing - With Focus on the Central Administrative Government -)

  • 본 연구는 중앙행정기관 공무원들을 대상으로 한 실증분석을 통해 평가 및 보상이 지식관리 활동에 미치는 영향관계를 분석하고, 지식관리 활성화를 위한 평가 및 보상체계의 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 실시한 공분산구조분석결과, 평가는 보상과 지식창출 활동에 유의미한 영향요인으로 검증된 반면, 지식공유에 대해서는 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 보상은 지식공유에만 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 지식창출 활동은 지식공유 활동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 지식관리 활동에 대한 평가 및 보상체계의 개선방안을 제시하였다.

  • As the information from today's knowledge-based society alters the awareness of patients and provides a wider selection of medical institutions, the reality of medical institution management is struggling compared to the past. CRM was introduced to domestic hospitals as marketing strategy to dominate the competition under varying medical environment. Thus, this research invests on CRM activity types used in hospitals and the effects of CRM activities toward loyalty and switching intention. Futhermore, we investigate the mediating role of customer relationship commitment and termination in CRM activities. The subjects in this study included three hundred customers who are using hospital settings or who had experience with using the hospital settings. The researcher collected 262 survey questionnaires from May 23th, 2011 to June first. In order to evaluate the hypothesis in this study, structural equation model was analyzed by using AMOS 18.0.
