This paper presents the performance analysis of 10[Gb/s] optical duobinary transmitters with the non-ideal Mach-Zehnder modulator which does not have exactly 50/50 splitting/combining ratios by computer simulations. For driving voltage ratios(=driving voltage/switching voltage) with smaller than 100[%], the transmission performance has been greatly affected by extension of LPF bandwidths. Nevertheless, the performance has been degraded when the driving voltage ratio is 100[%]. The smaller driving voltage ratios has, the more sensitivity improves by extension of LPF bandwidths under the asymmetry condition. But the driving voltage ratio with 80[%] has better bit error rate(BER) than those with 50[%] and 25[%].

The laboratory hydraulic conducti vita tests with rigid wall permeameter were performed to study the effects of waste leachate on the permeability of a marine clay. The marine clay and waste leachate for this study were sampled from Kimpo Wastefills, and the hydraulic gradients applied to the clay specimens aTe relatively high from 37.5 to 225. The test results show that the permeability of a marine clay is increased with increasing the concentration of leachate and with decreasing the hydraulic gradient. And also both the liquid limit and the plasticity index of the marine clay miRed with waste leachate decrease with increasing the concentration of leachate.

This study was aimed to provide the measurement data and shape classification of the head of the Korean male children for the headwear sizing systems. Five hundred twenty male children, aged nine to twelve years, participated f3r this study. The 17 regions on the head and height, weight of the subjects were directly measured by the expert experimenters. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, GLM analysis and Tukey HSD test were performed using these data. Through factor analysis, low factors were extracted upon factor scores and those factors comprised $69.76\%$ for the total variances. Three clusters as their head shape were categorized using four factor scores by cluster analysis. Type 1 was characterized by the widest width and Bitragion arc, shortest head length. Type 2 had the longest head length and the widest side width and the highest head length and head circumference. Type 3 was characterized by the smallest head circumstance, head width and side width, and medium head length.

The electrophoretic banding patterns of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGD) in the two different chromosomal ploidy groups of Gyraulus were compared. The monomeric or dimeric banding patterns or allelic variations in a locus of PGD were observed in four diploid populations (Osan, Sohre, Kimpo and Kangwha) of G. convexiusculus occurring in Korea, whereas the isozyme banding patterns encoded by at least 3 different loci were shown in the tetraploid populations of G. (Torquis) groups collected from Michigan, the U.S.A. Of 3 different tetraploid groups, G. (T.) circumstriatus group showed 3 monomorphic isozyme banding patterns, and the other 2 populations showed some allelic variations. Such results provided good evidence to differentiate tetraploid subgenus Torquis group from the diploid Gyraulus populations.

The objective of this study is to explore basic type of character of humans and to suggest a design method of establishing a spatial construction environment for developing effective learning ability based on such type of character. As a range of research, spatial formative language was deduced and space design strategy for the children was suggested through an analysis of spatial requirements by exploring connectivity depending on features of 9 types of character through Enneagram. As a method of research, a process of suggesting a concrete method after defining an element of spatial construction and deducing a formative language for developing and strengthening effective learning ability for each type of character. As a result of research, the methods of children space design strategy for enhancing learning ability for leadership in a future specific fields were suggested through 9 different type of character with image of case study.

In the present study, we investigated the compositions, antioxidant activities and anti-tumor effects of Artemisia princeps Pampanini (APD) as well as blanched leaves (CNBD) and dried leaves (CND) from Cirsium setidens Nakai on HepG2 cells. Water and ash contents were increased in CND. Protein and lipid contents were increased in CNBD. K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Cu contents of CND were higher than those of CNDB and APD. P contents was significantly decreased in CND. Yields of CND was reached high levels, but TPC, TFC, acacetin, apigenin, cynarin contents, and antioxidant activity were higher in APD. Viability of HepG2 liver cells was significantly decreased in APD. Therefore, extracts of APD are more effective preventing the liver cancer than extracts of CND and CNBD.

본 논문에서는 영화나 소설과 같은 콘텐츠의 스토리를 가시화해서 보여주는 시스템에 대해 제안하고 설명한다. 스토리를 가시화 해주기 위해 등장인물들 간의 관계를 모형화하는 Character-net 방법론을 채용하였고 스토리 진행에 따른 Character-net 변화를 분석하여 보여주는 시스템을 개발하였다. 시스템은 Character-net 변화 실행창과 등장인물 중심성 시계열 그래프 창으로 구성하였다. 두 개 창을 통해 스토리 차원의 검색이 가능토록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 스토리 가시화 시스템에 대해 설명하고 추가적으로 필요한 사항들에 대해 논의한다.

This paper will examine the way Philip Larkin as a modern poet views unfavorable but inescapable past experiences with ambivalent attitudes. Larkin has written poems which concern the matters of time, aging, and death. Out of these related themes, the past has offered one major subject for Larkin's poems. Those poems on his personal experiences, coming out of his deep interest in the past and in the relationship the past has with his present and future life, reveal much of the poet's personality. Because of Larkin's conflicting attitudes towards past life, however, the poems about his past create both ambivalence and attraction in the readers' minds. The unusual restraint of emotion and conflict revealed in the poems about past life render rare modern lyrics that are unlike exuberant romantic poems.

The proposed high-speed backup and recovery system is a high performance backup software based on multi streaming I/O and high speed/high compression technology, and can realize an increase efficiency of backup volume without any increase of backup H/W equipments since it provides a high performance in data backup of a user and executes high compression very fast. Particularly, it minimizes consumption of network band width through a development of algorism for high compression in connection with backup equipments in a large-scaled system environment, is automated when it is recovered due to danger and troubles, and allows users to conveniently access in various ways since GUI and CLI for execution and management are all provided.

This paper is related to optimization in the image data format, which can make a great effect in performance of data compression and is based on the wavelet transform and JPEG2000. This paper established a criterion to decide the data format to be used in wavelet transform, which is on the bases of the data errors in frequency transform and quantization. This criterion has been used to extract the optimal data format experimentally. The result were (1, 9) of 10-bit fixed-point format for filter coefficients and (9, 7) of 16-bit fixed-point data format for wavelet coefficients and their optimality was confirmed.
